Our experience with G on this occasion was absolutely dreadful. It felt rushed, rude, and completely devoid of logical thinking and risk management. Instead of focusing on finding solutions for the issue at hand, G seemed more interested in pushing the sale of every possible medication, treatment, and test under the sun. It was like they were trying to sell us the entire pharmacy! This is the issue with private healthcare, they are used to insurance jobs where there is no limit or filter to the amount they can extort from the system, hence the ever increasing premiums for pet insurance! Let me give you some context. Over the past five years, our beloved Nala has only needed ear drops once every 12 months to help with a seasonal ear irritation. In the past, we were able to get these drops prescribed over the phone by 2by2 without any hassle. No sedation, no overnight stays, just simple and effective care. However, when we visited G, they insisted on sedating Nala for the ear management process and refused to prescribe the drops we knew would work. This involved an overnight stay, sedation (high risk interventions) and ear assessments which is something that had never been requested in the past. Nala has had her fair share of traumatic experiences with vets in the past. The restraining, injecting, and operating have left her terrified of visiting the clinic. Even the mere mention of the word "vets" sends her into a nervous frenzy. It breaks our hearts to see her like this. She does not suffer with anxiety, in any other setting! Thankfully, we were able to resolve the issue ourselves, and Nala is on the road to recovery. But guess what? 2by2 had the audacity to charge us £85 for a conversation that led to no solution whatsoever. All they gave us was a pot of steroids, which we already know from past experience is not the right solution. We have significant historical data that proves Nala needs those ear drops, not steroids. We deserve better. Our furry friends deserve better. It's time to find a vet who truly cares about their well-being and understands the importance of providing the right solutions. There is evidence to support my claims,. We have 11 pets at home, 4 of which are dogs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update: 13/10/2023 A letter was received stating that we are no longer welcome at twobytwo due to the review published. As stated above, we had no intention of reterning. Our pet health records will be requested in due course. Thank you.

We registered with Two By Two a few years back when we got our third rescue cat (who we call Penelope) and took her for neutering. Then, as now, the service we received was excellent and warrants a very positive review. In August of this year, we experienced more of their care when Penelope dislocated an elbow at home. Andrew responded immediately – I was in the consulting room within 10 minutes. From that point onwards, Penelope received exceptional care. Everyone involved in her treatment was extremely helpful, explaining to us in detail the various stages of the process from the initial procedure through to aftercare and recuperation/physiotherapy etc ... It’s been a difficult few months, but working with Andrew and Mike who led on Penelope's care, supported by others, has made this so much easier It is evident that everyone at the practice not only cares for the animals entrusted to them but that they enjoy their work as a cohesive team within immaculate premises. I cannot praise Two By Two highly enough. Andrew has built a great team and every single member of staff is excellent – friendly, professional and patient. Their charges are open and transparent , fair and reasonable (and I’m writing as someone who does not have pet insurance) I’ve used a few vets over the last 25 years and have to say that Two By Two is - by a long, long way - the best practice I’ve come across. Keep up the excellent work !

I would like to use this review to highly recommend this veterinary practice and to thank Andrew for providing the most professional and caring treatment to our cat Cleo. Our 3 year old cat had been eating for years hair elastic bands without us noticing and they had made their way into her intestine. As a result, she had been vomiting and within a couple of days was not eating anymore as well as being lethargic. Andrew treated her case as a matter of urgency and after thorough check advised us to go for a stomach surgery. He operated her in the afternoon and extracted it more than a dozen of those elastic bands. He made sure that she was well enough before to go home and Cleo has now recovered nicely putting our mind at peace and making us hopeful that we will have many more years in front of us to enjoy her company. Our whole family cannot thank him enough for the heartache he spared us from. The ladies at the reception are also lovely and it is always well appreciated when as a pet owner you are worried for your pet’s life. If you are thinking of joining this practice I would say that this is probably the best decision you will make when it comes to looking after your pets . Thank you a million.

Two by Two was recommended by a friend and fellow tortoise owner based on their own experience and Two by Two’s reputation for treating exotic pets. It was a long drive from Hertfordshire but so worth the effort. When you’re trusting the things you love second most, (actually the first, but can’t let Mrs E know) you have to know they are in good hands. I cannot sufficiently express my gratitude for the service we received. Every member of staff was extremely friendly, professional and compassionate, they truly understand the love you have for your pet and do everything possible to reassure you your pets welfare is of equal importance to them. The treatment inclusive of surgery and two additional appointments was considerably less than I expected, or would have been prepared to pay. It’s impossible to identify any specific individual member of staff for excellence of service because they present as a team, and without exception work as a team. If you’re looking for a veterinary service that’s as committed to the wellbeing of your pet as much as you are, look no further, highly recommended.

Just spoke to a gentleman on the phone called Mike he said to me I will get charged 45 pounds to have a courtesy call on the phone as his words were we have bills to pay and courtesy calls are something we don’t do. Just to let to you guys know potentially if a phone call was made just to see if my Ill dog should come I could’ve been a customer but due to Mike I feel completely uncomfortable and by hearing the words courtesy calls do not pay our bills I find very very very selfish vets should be here to help animals not to charge everything end of the day these animals have souls you should not be in this buisness if money is all you think about to anyone looking to take there animal here if you have loads of money and are willing to throw it away just for anything by all means please visit these guys if you actually care about your animal I would advise to stay away

My dog suddenly became very ill a couple of weeks ago and in a panic I called and was immediately seen. Andrew was very thorough and took my concerns seriously. By process of elimination and undertaking tests, then X-ray then ultimately an ultrasound he discovered that my dog had a small cancerous tumour on intestine which needed further investigation and hopefully removal. Andrew decided that it would be best for my dog to refer her to specialist surgical vet referral centre. Thankfully my dog has now recovered from the surgery and vets are optimistic that the cancer hasn’t spread, as it was caught early, and she will hopefully make a full recovery. Andrew put my dog’s welfare first before financial considerations. We are very grateful and Andrew is now overseeing her post-operative care. Highly recommend.

Couldn't thank the gentleman with the glasses and the long hair more (I wish I could've remembered his name) for checking on my cat in the most delicate and professional way possible. I was very anxious considering the issue I was facing and it was my very first time at the vets, but his kind words, amazing personality and expertise just made me want to sit down and chat with him for hours. I came in worried but left with a permanent smile all the way to my ears. I wish he could be recognised more through the 'meet our team' link on the website as I couldn't ask for anyone better. The reception staff were amazing too and they made me feel right at home the second I walked in the clinic. Couldn't recommend this place more.

We came to Andrew at Two by Two as I passed his new clinic on my way home from work. I own a 4 year old German Shepherd - a rescue dog with issues who is a handful at the best of times. Our dog Cassie is very nervous of new people - especially vets and high pressure situations. Andrew showed nothing but patience towards my dog, unfortunately she needed surgery - after surgery my dog managed to rip some of her stiches out, this was late on a Friday- this was all taken care of again immediately, after care has been great too. I highly recommend this vet. It’s refreshing to find a open and honest vet and not be treated like a cash machine as other vets have done in the past.

Chose this vet coz reasonable prices. I agree with Rumyana, receptionist Iram is very rude. When we arrived Iram was abrupt and made us feel unwelcome like you’re bothering her. Saw Dr. Me. Found her patronising, arrogant and insecure. She talks to you in a belittling tone leaving you feeling marginalised. She didn’t even help our dog. The good reviews on here are about Dr Suzie and Andrew but never got to meet them so can’t comment on them. Found a new vet in the end who did manage to help and treat our dog. They charge more but at least we get treated with respect and dignity. This vets doesn’t care how they leave customers feeling.

Our beautiful beloved cat Betty had recently been put to sleep due to old age (20 years old). We are heartbroken but deeply indebted to Suzie and the whole team for the care and dedication shown to Betty throughout her time with us and during her final moments, and the support and kindness shown to my daughter and myself afterwards, from the sensitive way they had helped us deal with her remains to the thoughtful card and messages we received. We had been attended by Andrew and his team since the clinic opened some 5 years ago and we are very blessed indeed to have a local clinic like this one at our doorstep.

Our cockapoo was limping badly with a sore paw that wasn't healing at home despite our best efforts. We went to Two by Two and were seen by Dr Mee who was both professional and personable. She talked us through the various causes of the swelling, explaining the process of identifying/diagnosing the issue step by step. Thankfully her first call of prescribing antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds sorted it. So we did not need to proceed to the next stage of an invasive exploration or x-ray. Thanks so much to all of the team there who were friendly and helpful. You are now our go-to vets!

After having had issues with our previous veterinary surgery with our beloved elderly cat Tigerlilly, we found Andrew who was honest and sensitive from the outset. Unfortunately, Tigerlilly had a number of complex health issues and we had to make the very difficult decision to put her down. Andrew supported us throughout the process with empathy and kindness. We are very grateful and would highly recommend his surgery. In comparison to our previous vet, we felt that Andrew put the welfare of our pet before profit. It's a pity that we hadn't found him earlier!

i went to this vet because I bought my Chloe from a private individual and her first vaccination was done at this vet and where I live no vet had that type of vaccine used in the first vaccination .. i was really disappointed the girl who gave chloe the vaccine hurt her while she took the syringe out of him chloe cried ... back home chloe was 1 day with pain in the vaccine part she cried all night and she couldn't even raise her head ... attention guys! I hope that at least that girl had a title to vaccinate animals.

Absolutely amazing! My kitten wasn’t eating, being sick and had diarrhoea as it was suspected that he may have lily poisoning, but that wasn’t the case. The vet gave me medication for him and now he is so perky and eating again. I had taken him to one of the chain vets and they wanted to charge me nearly £900 for treatment that wasn’t necessary. Independent vets are always the best - personable, care about the animal and don’t charge the earth unnecessarily!!

Couldn't recommend this practice enough. Everyone who works at the clinic is lovely to interact with and makes you feel comfortable. I took my corn snake in, and he was seen just as quickly as any other animal, and they still charge a reasonable rate where as other practices sometimes take advantage of "exotic species" to make extra money. Hopefully he won't need to go back but would take any animal, scales or fur here every time!

Andrew is an excellent vet i was looking for someone who cares about animals and is not just in the profession to make money unlike the majority of chain of vets. I have 11 cats which can be very costly to maintain so it's great to find someone whose charges are reasonable and who doesn't push unecessary medications or treatments to make more money. I'm glad i found him and know that my cats are all in good hands.

Took my cat Willow, to Andrew and his team, after a bad experience at another vet. They were so good, fitted is in for an appointment within 48 hours. Operated on Willow as soon as results were back. Everything was explained perfectly. At one point I was concerned about Willow, phoned the vet, and took her in straight away. She was treated, and I wasn’t charged. I am so happy with everything about Two by Two.

My new puppy was rushed to the clinic in a panic after eating rat poison. Andrew was brilliant with Bella. The clinic stayed open after the hours when we rung after we found our puppy eating rat poisoning. Very calming and caring and friendly vets! The clinic is new, clean and the vet knowledgable very professional. Very grateful for helping us with the puppy with lots of great advice and support!!

Asked for deworming tablets over the phone, when this was collected by a friend of ours, they charged us for flee tablets as well. We called back to let them know and they refused to take back the tablets, despite the seal not being tampered and the misunderstanding which I believed was their fault. Some would agree to a misunderstanding in good faith. They didn’t! They have lost a customer.

I am very satisfied with the doctors, but the receptionist named Iran, she was very rude!!! It is about one of our cat's journeys. We tried to talk normally with her but she was extremely rude and even said "the language barrier prevented us from understanding each other" this is not serious we live in a modern world.Because of this woman I rate three stars.

My beloved dog became ill, and after losing faith in our previous (large chain) veterinary practice, we decided to take her to Two by Two. Andrew quickly diagnosed the problem and quite literally saved her life. Since then he has performed a successful ACL surgery, and has indeed been the most upfront and transparent Vet I’ve ever met, for which I can only bestow my utmost thanks.

We are so pleased we moved to Two By Two Vets, they genuinely care about the animals, and the practice is clean and professional. We were able to be in the room while our pets were being treated, they were transparent and very positive. We left stress and worry free and we would highly recommend this vet! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Andy has to be the best vet I’ve ever had who takes care of our 3 cats with great affection. We travel further to get here for the simple reason that we know we can trust them. They have never let us down. So grateful to Andy and his whole team ever since they started up and all through 2020 they were there if we needed them.

Andrew is a reliable, extremely knowledgeable and friendly veterinarian who obviously adores all creatures great and small. My Budgies went in TwoByTwo (quite literally) and he has worked wonders with their treatment and care. I highly recommend him and I’m so pleased we now have a local animal Doctor for our feathered friends. I couldn’t recommend him more.

I struggled to find a vet who understood the rather quirky needs of my rescue cats, and I've been travelling to Andrew for a couple of years now, despite having closer options. He cares about my pets, but I never feel he's trying the 'hard sell'. He has dealt with them for routine things, as well as a couple of emergencies: I always trust what he says.

Absolutely excellent care given by Vet Suzie at Two by Two. It's a top class, modern surgery and lovely that it is independdant and local - so much nicer than the big corporates. Our dog was given gentle and expert care and is now making a good recovery. Suzie was very calm, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this vet.

I took our cream Persian cat here around one year ago to have her nutered and I am so pleased with the outcome. Also this vets practice has some amazing vets and reception staff that really do go the extra mile so to speak. To care for your pets and yes I would highly recommend them as they really are the very best in the local area.

I can highly recommend twobyytwo vets in Finchley Long Lane. Andrew the vet there is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I've changed vets to be with him in the past 6 months and have had a fantastic service and advice from him. The care given to my fifteen year old terrier was exemplary. They treated him for arthritis with the most up-to-date treatment and when his kidney disease became chronic, the advice from the vet and the kindness, patience and understanding from all the staff will be forever appreciated. Highly recommend.

They didn’t do anything… We agree on a price which was written down and then as soon as I went to pick up my cat they changed me much more then we agreed… what made it worse is they couldn’t tell me what’s was wrong with her. I can say more bur only if you guys would like me to continue…

One of the most caring and knowledgeable veterinaries I have been to. They took time to understand our cat's situation and we felt he was well looked after (in every respect) at each stage of his treatment. Andrew was really helpful and reassuring. We would strongly recommend them.

Andrew did a great job removing a large fatty lump and a cyst from my golden retriever. He also prescribed tablets which have greatly improved Sonny's mobilty. He has arthritis. Sonny is not a very trusting dog but he is always happy to go to Andrew and that says everything.

I was charged for I consider two much and one of the drugs is not going to help his condition. Is hart failure and needs different drugs two help him breath not happy to pay 400 pounds for the drug that will not work and so I have to leave this feed back

Initially I thought I had a good experience with this vet but that quickly turned sour when their treatment of my dog for subsequent care was shocking and they didn’t declare issues that had arisen when she was in their practice. I do not trust them.

Excellent care. Our cat took ill and we decided to change vets from a chain to Andrew which was a great decision. He took wonderful care of our cat who needed dental surgery. The prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for a vet go here.

This isn’t like your standard vet practice. They really care about animals and they don’t overcharge. I live quite far but still make the travel to come to this specific practice because of the service and care they provide for my dog.

Took a quiet bird there this week that was struggling to breathe when exerted. Told to give it a medicine normally prescribed for cats & guinea pigs...after first dose it looked like it was choking, then died overnight. Enough said.

Excellent service from Two by Two. We had a house visit. I absolutely hate seeing our cat distressed but he was absolutely fine with Andrew the vet and seemed to put him completely at ease. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
