I used a uPack relocube for my recent move from Kansas City to San Diego (almost 1700 miles). Short answer: they were great and I recommend them highly. I'll break down a few areas below. Timeliness: excellent I had a scheduled window for delivery of the cube and they arrived in the first 20 minutes of that time. The driver and dispatcher I spoke with were incredibly courteous and notified me in advance of the arrival so that I would be ready. This was the case both at the starting location and the final location. The quoted time was 3-5 business days and the cube arrived in 3 days which was actually before my arrival but they store the cube at their depot until you call to arrange for delivery and you have a window of time they hold it there. I ended up having them hold it for two days after arrival but it wasn't an additional charge. They will move the cube with a forklift and do it quite well. Just make sure it's in a location that allows it and they also will remind you to make sure of that as well. You get a window of time at each location to load/unload and weekends don't count toward your days so sandwich a weekend into your load/unload days to extend that window. The only caveat to timing is that the cube pickup times are usually unscheduled so if you have the cube behind a secure area such as a gate, then you'll have to be available for the forklift to get to it and you won't know a time until they give you a courtesy call about 30 min before they arrive. Price: excellent Online quote was $1500 but when I called them to ask about pricing, I received a quote of $1263 and the final price was unchanged. Really an excellent price for 1700 miles because it includes the driver/gas/insurance. It would have been ~$1800 for two relocubes. Try calling them for a better price than online. Size: acceptable I ordered one relocube because I was only moving about one room worth of stuff. The cube is 6ft x 7ft x 8ft but know that the footprint is 6ft x 7ft. I still had room to spare once I loaded it up. You can get creative with the loading and really utilize the vertical space. I used a trunk-mount bike stand by ratcheting it high on the wall and hung my two bikes for the move and they looked like they had not moved an inch even at the final destination. I put padding between them and some of it was very loosely draped on the bike and even that was still in place. In fact, nothing looked like it had shifted at all on arrival. I had ratcheted/bungee corded most things down but some of the things on top were pretty loosely thrown on top and they were unmoved too. They seemed to have taken care of the box during the move. Safety: good It's a metal cube and very secure doors. I placed two heavy padlocks on each door and had no problems. If someone was really determined, they could probably break in but that's the case for any moving cube probably. I had considered the uhaul equivalent but didn't like that it was wood which was more preference than anything else and also they didn't have as good reviews when I looked at the time. Professionalism: stellar Very professional and courteous at every point of contact. The dispatchers/drivers at each location were incredibly nice and timely. I received a courtesy call when it arrived in the destination and they were very nice when arranging everything initially with the quote. Overall, I recommend uPack for moves and would gladly use them again in the future when I need to move. I had considered a Pod but their reviews weren't great and multiple friends have used them and had very poor experiences. I really didn't want to rent a truck and deal with gas/driving across the country, especially when I had a few extra stops along the way to hike/explore. I also didn't want to tow my car when driving narrow switchbacks/trails in Colorado/Utah. uPack made for an ideal shipping situation and I experienced no problems. Hope this helps!

HIGHLY Recommend for a cross-country move. Moved an entire one bedroom apt in Durham, NC to a San Diego, CA for ~$1,500. 5 Star Value 3 Star Professionalism and Responsiveness TIPS FOR APARTMENT MOVERS: 1. USE A U-HAUL TRUCK! Our apartment complex would not allow the relocation cube to be left overnight in the loading bay for moving in and out (and U-PACK does not do same day drop off and pickup), so we rented a 15 foot UHAUL truck, loaded all of our stuff in the truck, then drove the truck to the U-PACK service center and unloaded and reloaded it into the ReloCube. This reduced the total U-PACK cost by $150. 2. PLAN PLAN PLAN! We fit a sleeper sofa, TV stand, coffee table, queen size bed, box spring, mattress, standing desk, bicycle, entire kitchen, clothing, etc (the ENTIRE apartment in the ReloCube) BUT we planned ahead of time how everything would fit inside the ReloCube by mapping out the inside dimensions of the ReloCube on our kitchen floor with string, measuring our items out in string, and modeling how it would all fit. We PACKED IT TO THE BRIM, but it worked! Note when it arrived, some of the boxes had fallen over/ moved around so make sure to pack things really tight if you stack to the ceiling or just pack evenly across. Annoyances: * U-PACK service center is NOT open on the weekend, so if you don't get it dropped off, you'll need to pack it during the week * U-PACK will only schedule their cube drop-off to your home 1 full business day after the business day it arrives (if it arrives during business hours). This is sort of confusing, but we filled our ReloCube on Thursday afternoon, it was shipped Friday, arrived to San Diego the following Friday morning, but because of their policy, it couldn't be scheduled for drop-off until Monday. * We had to follow up multiple times with the service center when our cube arrived to ensure delivery. * Their website says they sell locks, but they didn't sell them onsite. Bring your own lock. Annoyances aside - this was an incredible value. Would use again!

I absolutely hate this company, I would NEVER use them again and I would NEVER recommend them. The company ArcBest Corporation that owns U-Pack is a bad business to deal with. To start they bait and switch you, quoting you a low price and then drastically increasing the price when it comes time to deliver. If you complain, they hold your items in order to extort money from you, claiming an exorbitant amount for “storage fees” We used them to move my mom from Georgia to California in December 2018. As if this isn’t bad enough they make so many mistakes with your order, it’s just plain sloppy. First they delivered a trailer instead of the cube we ordered by then it was too late to cancel and use another service, they mixed up my mom’s shipment by sending it to another county about 5 hours away delaying for about a month, then they send us the wrong invoice with someone else’s name on it, when I complaint about it, they send another one with my name on it, not my mom’s ...just because I spoke to them on behalf of my mother, they put my name on the invoice. That’s sloppy! They also use other carriers that they do not disclose to their customers and your items are being handled by other companies you know nothing about. Then there are so many people to deal with that the customer gets confused about whom to talk to, their customer service and claims department is terrible. For a big company like this to have such a rotten service, it can’t be good for business. They get away with these practices because they are not an actual moving company and they are classified as a freight company. The only way to make them listen is to sue them. DO NOT USE them to move you or your company’s items especially if you are on a budget. My mother may never see her household items again because of the bad service from this company and she’s damaged because of them.

From Day 1 I was always able to reach a person on the phone right away. Everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable about the process and they answered all my questions with clarity. When the driver dropped off the 28ft truck he was friendly and showed me how to setup the ramp, the bulkhead and how to lock and secure the trailer. Once the trailer was packed, they picked up on time and arrived to our cross country destination only 1 day behind our arrival. The tracking site worked in real time and was updated staus of where the trailer was every time I checked it. (The estimated arrival was 10-14 business days, but our trailer arrived to the local station in just 5 days.) I scheduled the drop off of the truck and the rep. Cheri T. was very helpful and courteous. When the truck was dropped off it was pouring rain but they showed up on time, the driver was also courteous even though he got a bit wet setting up the truck. It took an extra day to pick-up the empty trailer due to a shortage of drivers that day, but not a big deal. Upack was EXCELLENT all the way. It is a bit pricey of a service, but their pricing was still competitive to everyone else, moving cross country is just expensive, and they did a great job. Some people complain about damage to their stuff in shipment, but that is all in the packing. Everything we packed was in sturdy boxes, properly stacked to the ceiling and strapped in. And it all arrived in great condition. I Highly Recommend these guys!! Thank you UPACK for a great move!!

in general I was very happy with ABF. I moved from CA to NC in summer of 2021 and received quotes from several companies. I also looked at renting a 27 foot truck and found that ABF was the best value hand down. Our move was uncomplicated: no mid-trip directional changes, was direct from house to house (had adequate space to park a 28 foot trailer at both locations). They dropped off on time, drove and delivered (a day early!). I rented the entire trailer so it was essentially a point to point delivery. I put an AirTag in the trailer and was able to watch progress on a daily basis - they made good time! Packing was a pain, but it also meant that I was in control of load and packing (which was done very securely. As a result we had very little breakage. My only complaint was that the roof of my trailer wasn't entirely waterproof and the truck apparently hit a bit of rain. Consequence was some paperwork and books were damaged and a digital camera found in a pool of water (keep valuables with you!). I would use them again no questions and would recommend them too based on my experience. But do your research, read the contracts, and know what to expect. Drivers were friendly and competent and all my interactions with the company were easy and straight-forward.

This company ruined all my belongings. I shipped everything from NY to San Diego and when I got my things, I noticed my belongings were covered in a thick layer of black dust. Even in boxes, all my things were ruined. The dust stained my wrapped furniture, got into every small crack and ruined a lot of my clothing and linens. The couch and mattress are full of this mysterious dust that I’m not even sure is safe to breathe. My apartment is covered in the dust. As I unpack, I frequently have to stop to bathe, as I become so sticky and black. I have to wear clothing I don’t like because the dust stains clothes. The clothes I wore the day I unloaded are ruined. Multiple things have cracked and come open in the boxes, things I had wrapped tightly. I’ve spent days trying to wash what I can, and then at the end of the day I collapse. I can’t even unpack because the cleaning is so intense. At one point I started to get blurry vision, which again, I’m not even sure this dust is safe. Im going to file an insurance claim but my anxiety is through the roof. Im a super sentimental, clean and obsessive person and watching all my belongings that I spent days carefully wrapping and cleaning before shipping be ruined has been very difficult for me.

If you are planning a long distance move, this is the way to go. Essentially they are a freight forwarding company so the heavy lifting is on you. Cost: you will not find a more economical way to move. A full service company will charge at least 8k for a move like this. You do have to pack, load and unload yourself. But if you are capable, I would highly recommend. You can get an 18' trailer with a loading ramp for around 4k. Convenience: The trailer is delivered right to your driveway, they give you 3 days to load and once ready, just give them a call and they pick it up. Once it arrives at your new home, they deliver it and again give you 3 days to unload All our things arrived safely, no scam of having to pay more on arrival or things broken by movers. The cost was exactly what they quoted me. A few tips: 1) the partition is installed at the very end, it keeps all your belongings separated from the folding loading ramp. Make sure to leave room for that at the end. They will be opening the main doors to unload the ramp before it goes to the final destination, at which point another ramp will be put in its place upon arrival. 2) they only deliver and pick up the trailer on certain days so confirm with them when planning the move.

Moved from CA to MO but left most of personal items (except for the essentials) in a storage unit in the city I left. My options were slim. Fly out to CA, pack everything myself in a "U-Haul," drive truck to MO, Unload and return truck to pay over $6K not including gas. Hire a moving company to do the same thing and cost me around the same. My father suggested and got in contact with ABF (U-PACK) and was quoted a price that was just under $2K in savings vs U-Haul type move. It took me a long time to go from quote to booking, and they didn't hold that against me. They honored their original quote. The trailer was dropped off at the storage unit. Was given three days to pack it. I hired my daughter's boyfriend to pack the trailer and the trailer was picked up right on schedule. A couple of days later my stuff is in the city I moved to and was able to have the trailer for three days to offload (only took one). I saved money, I got my stuff in great time, and don't get me started on how great the customer service through out the process has been. ANY time I had a question or needed information - they were professional and timely in their response.

U pack has great customer service. I ordered two containers for my move and realized as I was loading them that I'd definitely need another. I called and they sent another one promptly the next day. I've heard terrible stories about opening the containers and having everything smashed so I bought some furniture blankets and had professional movers wrap everything up. Other then a few minor scratches, everything arrived fine... definitely wrap your belongings! I never had to wait long when calling them, everything was on time and the best part is that they store your containers at the destination city so it doesn't take long to get them once you're ready, some other companies store where it's cheaper and estimate a week for delivery from storage once you call. Hiring professionals to move my things from inside my house into the containers, u pack to move the containers and store them for a month, and professional movers to move my stuff from the containers into my new home (halfway across the country) was half the price of full service moving and u pack made the process easy.

The efficiency, cost, customer service, and product were really great. This was my first "Container Type" move and it was a long one from San Diego to Detroit. Hopefully I won't be moving again for a while, but I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone I know. The bad: During shipment, at some point, our container was punctured pretty deep. about a foot into the cube. Luckily, nothing was damaged besides the box. It was right at the bottom of the container and the box had enough paper in the bottom that the item at the bottom just had the paper it was wrapped in ripped. Accidents happen, but this was covered up. The hole had a piece of sheet metal glued over the hole so it looked like nothing had happened. It wasn't until I unpacked it that I found the hole. I just wish they would have contacted me. Otherwise a great experience. If you're reading this prior to renting, know that you need to pack every inch of this cube or strap things down. There will be shifting and settling. Now go forth and pack.

Highly recommend Upack (ABF ) moving service. Recently, my wife and I moved from San Diego, CA to Boston, MA, and were able to do so at a significantly reduced cost by using Upack. Everyone we spoke with was helpful and the terminal to terminal option was convenient since we had access to there shipping center basically 24/7 while loading our cubes. We were moving a one bed apartment and used two cubes: one we were able to fit a king bed w/ two box springs, a couch, and a TON of boxes. The other we used for some other furniture items. The nice thing is you can reserve two cubes and if you only use one, you only have to pay for one. They also have a 30-day storage option though keep in mind if you use any of those 30 days, you are charged for the full month. We were also able to track our shipping cubes online during the move, which was very helpful. Being this was our first major move, we were very anxious, but U-pack met our expectations from start to finish. :)

Just moved from San Diego to Grand Island Neb. The U-Pack option cost almost $2000 less than any other option that I had found. They brought out the trailer when they said they would. It had a ramp, the trailer was clean. You are charged by the amount of the trailer that you use, figured that I needed 24' and only ended up using 18', so the cost was even less. They told me the trailer would take from 5-7 business days to get to my new location. It only took 3, good and bad, it took me and extra week to get there because of weather. I would suggest packing very carefully and securing your belongings because they will shift during the haul. Nothing was broken, I just should have used a few more shipping blankets, had some rub marks on a few items. All in all, I would highly recommend this to anyone doing a long distance move. The driver, fuel and trailer are all included in the price. You don't have to worry about any of that.

I moved from San Diego, CA to Omaha NE. my experience with UP-Pack was so amazing!!! everything that they told me will be done was exactly that!!! they delivered the track on time to my house and allowed me 3 days to pack the track which was more than enough. when the track was loaded I called them and the next day it was picked up. they told me that it will take 6-9 days to arrive to my distention in Omaha. 4 days later I get a call to let me know that the track arrived to Omaha and as soon as I wish to have it delivered they will delivered it. I told them to drop it off 3 days after they notified me and sure enough the track was at my new place as they promised. the charged me only for the space that was used in the track so I know what my bill is before the track left CA. customer service was very nice and I will 100% recommend them and I will use them again if needed!!! Thank you U-Pack for doing a great JOB!!

I moved from VA to CA and the cube was a perfect size for my 1 bedroom apartment. This company was also the most affordable one. I was a bit worried in the beginning about the size but when it arrived I saw how spacious it was. I was able to fit in 1 king size mattress, 1 twin size mattress, 1 sectional couch (taken apart), my TV and a number of boxes. It was like playing tetris with my boxes. Be sure to wrap your belongings in blankets or bubble wrap as some things do shift or rub up against one another. None of my items were damaged. Customer service was always very responsive. Only thing is to have more of a time frame for pick up or delivery, both times they did give me an hour heads up. If I ever move across country again I'll definitely use this company. You are responsible for loading it and unloading it they give you a few days for that. The cube fits in a one car parking spot, confirmed that in VA and CA.

I do not write many reviews but these folks were fantastic. I was moving from the California (goodbye to failed social experiment) to Florida. Well everyone else is also moving east so getting a u haul is crazy expensive. U-pack charges by the foot and I only needed 18 feet so the difference between me renting a u-haul and u haul was less $600. I would recommend looking locally to hire someone to load for you. You can load yourself but a professional loader will save you money by parking the truck tighter. You can follow the truck on line as the truck travels to your house. You can also call them and they instantly know who you are by your phone #. Thank You U-Pack I used Upack again in Feb of 2023 and received the same easy to work with service. My mother-in-law only used 8 feet of space and the price was much lower than using any other service or rent a uhaul from the Soviet State of California to Florida.

  • SHELZ JULZ

We had the best experience with upack, I'd give them more stars if possible!! They are kinda too good to be true honestly. The prices are the cheapest & most reasonable not to mention they don't charge you a dime until your container is in transit. We shipped from san diego to hawaii and only took a week to get here door to door! That's AMAZING!! I also never neglect to appreciate the awesome attitudes and service from every person I spoke to throughout the entire process down to the drivers that delivered and picked up our containers, no one likes to deal with grumpy reps over the phone especially through the stresses of relocating. So I very much appreciated that!! I'd highly recommend upack to anyone looking for an affordable, speedy and pleasant move.. they won all our business in this department! Awesome!!

  • Larry Banks

U-Pack was great. With other companies you have to guess how much space you will need and then order a container a little larger to make sure you will have enough space. Not so with ABF/U-Pack. They dropped off a 28 foot trailer and we only ended up using 17 feet and only got charged for the space we use. It took all the guess work and anxiety out of the packing and shipping process. They estimated 6-8 days in transit and another day to schedule delivery. The truck arrived in the terminal on the 8th day and they were able deliver it before 11am the same day! I hope this is our last move as this is our retirement dream home, but if we should ever need a long-distance mover again, I wouldn't consider using any other carrier.

  • Kati Carmody

After starting with another incredibly popular portable box storage company, I switched to U-Pack because their policies, as far as insurance and protection of our goods, was far superior. Everyone I talked to, from the booking agent to the pick up agent on the other end, was incredibly helpful, extremely courteous, and very professional. I would highly recommend U-Pack & ABF Freight any time you need to move large items a great distance. The people are second to none and made a stressful life event (moving cross country) a smooth, easy experience. We were able to track our truck the entire time and the U-Pack team in Milwaukee was wonderfully helpful with our delivery and pick up. Truly, they provide great service.

  • Fred Edwards

Generally speaking my U pack move was good, everything went according to the plan, and I would recommend them. The first customer service rep that I talked to, Carrie, to set up the move was as great as indicated in the reviews. However, when I called in the midst of my move while i was stressed out the customer service rep, Erica, I talked to was not very helpful and was downright rude. She actually had the gall to say "Well, if you would just listen to me..." Then launched into an unhelpful diatribe telling me about the company ... When I asked for her supervisors name she replied she has three but never gave me a name.... Oh well, at least the Carrie was great and everything was delivered as promised.

  • Soldiers Of The Constitution

ABF U-Pack absolutely nailed this move. This system they have makes moving a breeze. The price beats U-haul and the like hands down... And you don't have to do the big truck driving..... and fueling.... and finding places to park on that cross country move. Book it... They drop the trailer... U load... Or buy extra help... Seal it up and what space u don't use they subtract from your bill... Out trailer actually made it the same time we did....Both San Diego and Nashville terminals worked very hard and went the extra mile for us to accommodate our rather tricky time lines... And special needs. Thank you ABF for having the best moving service I have ever used. KUDOS!!! A+++++

  • Peggy

I am so glad friends of mine recommend U-Pack. If you want to pack your own belongings and desire responsible, timely, and economic service, this is the place to call. I decided to use their truck to load my mom's belongings rather than a pod as it gave me lots of flexibility and was cheaper than the pods. The only thing you must remember is that many places do not allow parking on the streets and the truck is long--a full three car lengths is needed. I loved how you could track your truck's move at any time. I felt relieved to know where my "stuff" was at any given day. I highly recommend this company. Drivers and staff were all responsive to my questions and needs.

  • Alan - Private

The empty truck showed up on schedule. They picked up the loaded trailer the day after I called. The truck showed up across the country on schedule, they stored the truck without so much as a phone call for almost 2 weeks, and dropped off the trailer at the destination when they said they would. The driver was friendly and helpful. And they picked up the empty truck when they said they would. They even gave me a refund of 1 linear foot when I pointed out the origination (in CA) had read the position of the bulkhead incorrectly. An amazing experience. No fuss and everyone was very friendly at every step of the process. So glad I chose U-Pack to do my move.

  • Mike Siebenthal

U-Pack impressed me so thoroughly, that I am without words. Astonishing. Would do 6 Starts if I could. My experience was a last minute order and they were terrific. The price was right. The drop off and pick up were like clock work and the staff was incredibly friendly. From Emily, walking me through the initial order and calling me back on schedule. Fred in San Diego dropping off the cube. finally, to Sheena on the billing and closing side, the service was absolutely wonderful . They made it easy and even fun to watch (that little fork lift & operator in action). Thank you! I would highly recommend this company and will DEFINITELY use it again!!!!

  • Sterling Worth

If you are thinking about a service similar to what U-Pack provides I can personally vouch that U-Pack does an OUTSTANDING job. Handlers at my origin in San Diego and Delaware were knowledgeable on how to place the cubes efficiently and without blocking the cube's doors. Each time I had to talk via the phone it was polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. Scheduling was simple and although I had to reschedule my final delivery, it was delightfully stress free (props to Carrol!). I had no damage dealt to my items from the move. Excellent service overall and I will be going to them for my next move.

  • Annalisa M

I priced it out and it was about the same price for 2 relocubes as it was to rent a truck, except that: - You don't have to drive a truck - With a truck you generally have 6 days for the total move. With Upack - You have three days to fill the containers - You have three days to unlock the containers - If you need to store your stuff for longer you can (for a fee) - It's as simple as clicking on a text link to schedule pickup or dropoff of the containers. - Make sure you pack things tightly to secure them. Wrap them, using moving blankets. It's worth it to have your stuff arrive in one piece!

  • Lisa

I would give them 0 stars if I could. My friend booked 3 pods about 3 weeks ago. They were to deliver today and we have been packing to be ready for the arrival of the pods. 3 minutes before they were due to be delivered u-pack called to say they would not deliver the product/service as promised. Not only did they put my friend in a terrible situation the guy on the phone was rude about it. Please never use this company. They could have canceled at any point and not 3 minutes before my friend was expecting them!!! Bad customer service and does not honor their products and services!!!

  • Tina J

I moved some things from San Diego to my college-aged daughter in Fort Worth. Everyone I encountered and spoke to over the phone was helpful and easy to work with. The trailer was dropped off early and then picked up right away when I finished packing. The delivery in Texas went just as smoothly. They even called to see if I'd like my things sooner. The transit time was very quick. The guys helped me get the ramp set up upon delivery and removed the bulk head so I didn't have to wrestle with it. Awesome service. They exceeded my expectations at every turn.

  • Jub's Journey

Great customer service and the staff is always there to help with your needs. This was my second time using them and they never disappoint. First trip was from PA to South Texas...and six months later from Texas to California. After my ABF freight truck arrived I needed to make arrangements to get a moving truck to transfer goods from one truck to another, due to our apartment complex being so narrow. UPack was happy to help and even gave me a discount because we now had to pick up at the ABF facility. Overall wonderful experience with customer service.

  • IVAN YAKIMUK

I was highly satisfied when I used U-Pack as my moving partner two years ago and this time I want to thank you guys again for a great service! I can describe their job in two words - fast and flexible. We're ordered delivery to a certain city but while our containers were in their way we've changed our plans and found a new home in another city. I just called them and asked to bring our cubes to another city. They said "no problem". I was worried that it can take a lot of time but as always they were pretty fast.

  • Jeff McNamara

U Pack preformed in every way they said they would . The lesson I learned was to plan your pack. I moved cross country which is a lot of miles . You really need to pack with the idea the load is going to go over rough terrain . I did not load it that way and things were a jumble which had nothing to do with U pack’s service. The price was great delivery was on time and everyone was great. In retrospect there are YouTube videos on how to load do your homework and I’m sure you’ll be happy with the experience.

  • Linda Brettell

This company has the best customer service Ive experienced in my whole move. I moved cross country from CA to Ohio. Everything that was in the containers arrived safely, any question I had was answered. The people who dropped off the containers were careful both in depositing the empty ones and delivering the full ones. Every step of the way was handled with the best possible results. I had the containers in storage for a month while waiting my new home. It went very smoothly. I would never use anyone else.

  • Laurie Sweeting

I have and will definitely be recommending U-Pack to my friends and family. The pricing is extremely reasonable and they are very accommodating. All the pricing is upfront and very clear, absolutely no hidden fees. I appreciate the fact that you don't have to know how much space you need in advance and you only pay for the footage you use. Everyone I had any interaction with during the process was friendly, professional and helpful. Thank you U-Pack! Next time the military moves us we will be calling!

  • Colleen Flaherty

Highly recommend! This is my second time using U-Pack for a cross-country move! They are the most affordable option in addition to being extremely professional, helpful, and responsive. Per the reviews before, make sure your goods are "vibration and shift proof" as the cubes get fork-lifted about and on the trucks, vibration can cause a "sanding" effect on objects that aren't covered or rub against each other. Nothing has ever been broken and they're extremely accommodating as a company, great people!

  • Robert Whiteman

So glad this service came to my attention! Never heard of it before, though this is our first move in 25 years. A real plus in our moving experience. We used the trailer and saved over the cost of renting and driving a truck from California to Pennsylvania while having more time if needed to load/unload. Trailer arrived to local depot days before scheduled delivery to new house and was able to be delivered to the house a couple days earlier. Very satisfied with U-Pack from start to finish.

Moving out of California to the East Coast is expensive, and most moving companies prices were $20,000 and up. Even renting trucks and moving ourselves was easily $15-$18k. U-Pack came in at under $10,000 and the process was easy. They dropped the truck off as promised, we loaded our own stuff and they delivered it as promised. No fuss, no headaches and best of all, they stayed in communication with us during the whole process. I would highly recommend them for anyone making a long move.

U-pack delivery was good. However, their partner company Moving Staffers arranging loading/unloading companies was really bad. The loading company was good. However, the unloading company, Elite Movers, was worst moving company ever. This company unload very slowly and rejected to unload my piano. However, Moving Staffers did nothing to solve this problem. Thus I arranged another company to unload my piano and paid $350. So don't use the loading/unloading services through U-Pack.

Great experience! Moved my one bedroom (door to door) from Oceanside to Virginia Beach for under $2,000. Everything was done timely, professionally and without any hustle. However, I would recommend the company to improve notification procedures in regards of trailer delivery timeline (process) to the costumers. For an example, send an automatic txt updates on the status of the trailer delivery etc. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the service and value.

In the past, I used Uhaul to move. When I researched moving companies, I discovered Upack. I was amazed to learn that I could have all of my items shipped across the country for LESS than Uhaul. And that is before I included the cost of gas and the time and hassle it would have involved for me to do it myself. When you add in the responsiveness and helpfulness of the people that work at Upack, I have found the company I will use for any future moves.

If you're planning to make a long distance move, these are the people to call. This was my second move using U-Pack and everything went as smooth, if not better, than the first. With the exception of the actual move, all of the preparation work is actually done online. On the day of my move, I had a full day window to load up my relocube. During the move, I was told that it'd arrive at my destination in 6-10 days, but it actually only took four.

  • Caitlin Auvil

The process of using U-Pack was almost too easy I called multiple times to ask the same questions! After booking with another company I thought there had to be a cheaper option, and my further research led me to U-Pack. I was able to book with them for half the cost of competitors including 1 month of storage in Denver. The staff was thorough and helpful, making my moving experience painless.

  • Nina Chandler

Our move was delayed by over a week due to bad communication between service centers. Customer service was difficult to reach, gave different answers Depending on who I talked to and was very disrespectful. My family and I moved 2 states away with three small children and were displaced for over a week because our truck was severely delayed. I will choose a different moving company next time!

  • Jason Day

Absolutely fantastic experience. Moved from San Diego to Tennessee & the experience throughout was great. Was able to track my shipment the whole way and everything was delivered within their time frame right on schedule. Customer service was just incredible all throughout. Moving is stressful enough but they really helped alleviate a lot of that stress and I'm very appreciative.

Great service, affordable price, fast and helpful customer service! I moved a complete three bedroom house from San Diego to Northern Wisconsin, the trailer arrived on time, was picked up immediately when I called to report it was packed and ready and arrived in Wisconsin within the estimated date of delivery. Couldn't ask for more! Thumbs up all the way around!

This was surprisingly easy. Too often moves are stressful and using movers can be panic inducing. This was a simple way to move our household! We took care to pack everything with padding and straps, when it arrived 1100 miles later everything was in great shape. They communicated often by text, letting us know status along the way. Overall, a great experience.

  • Sheri Hunter

Moved from San Diego to Idaho and we were very happy with their services. There was no problem setting everything up, they're customer service was wonderful, they did everything they said they would do, call before dropping of and picking up the trailer and they were actually able to deliver our things early! Thank you U-Pack!

  • Sarah Ford

Most painless part about our entire move across the country! We did A LOT of research before using U-Pack, not only on reviews but cost as well. U-Pack was so accommodating to our last minute changes-of-plan and the price was perfect for our small budget. Everything arrived on time and not damaged. I'm very happy!

  • Dale Frohock

The trailer had some type of black stuff on the wood parts along the floor which got on to many of our items which not only ruined them it also transferred onto other items like the new carpet in our new home. I complained to the company and only got a generic file a claim response. Beyond disappointed!!

  • Mary Ellen Graves

You will NOT regret using U-Pack, they are the best company.....they met our high standards and when they said they would deliver the cube to our new home within 5 to 7 days....they were here inn 6 days. NO DAMAGES, just great service door to door....if we could give them 10 stars we would.

  • Andrea Cescolini

Highly recommend - both the pick up in Washington state and delivery in San Diego were timely and well-communicated. The drivers were very helpful in ensuring the containers were well positioned for loading and unloading. And nothing broke inside the containers! Would definitely use again

  • Holly Salvatore

I've used U-Pack twice now for two out of state moves. The locations for my pick-ups and drops-offs were not easy and the U-Pack staff was always kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The service is affordable, quick, and highly responsive. Well deserving of all 5 stars!

  • Christian R.

U Pack is possibly the best moving service if your planning to go long distances. Everything is affordable and made to make moving easier. I just moved from San Diego to Washington without having to worry about all my stuff. Just be sure you pack everything as tight and held down.

  • Scott Martin
