This location is HORRIBLE!!! Their carrier refuses to deliver me and my families packages on time, even when I pay for express delivery. They held a package that was due Friday purposefully that contained a dress that I needed that Saturday evening for a banquet! I tracked my shipping and it texted me to inform me that it was held by the carrier come Saturday morning. Though it was due to be delivered on Friday morning. I had to come back from out of town just to chase this dress, only to be told by an employee and management that I could not get the item because my Id and shipping address did not match. So if that was really a legal issue why does every store across the country allow you to have a billing address and a shipping address??? They clearly saw my name and my picture. On top of that they also repeatedly hold my grandfathers medications (a bag that contains 8 pill bottles) to when ever they choose to deliver it! My grandfather is a heart and cancer patient, so now they choose to risk his life because they are plan LAZY!!! If you don not want to deliver mail or packages I am sorry to tell you that you are in the wrong profession my friends, because last I checked this was the job that you assigned YOURSELF to do! To top it off, after I had to tell my what to do's just to get the manager to speak to me and for him to release my packages that I paid for, my items, my belongings. After I had to come back to the city to do their job because their package carriers at this location refused to deliver and that should not be. I should not have had to be so inconvenienced and disrespected with such blatant unprofessional-ism and lack of care for your customers! To top it off after all of that, the manager had the nerve to tell me that he was not going to release my package until I apologized... Really, I am apologizing to you and your incompetent team for refusing to do your job, deliberately leaving my package behind, then you all lying saying that it is was not there. I had to inform them, that I had already spoken to corporate and filed a formal complaint before I got there to make them move. They call the driver and ask him where the package was (after they just looked at it and told me that the address was wrong) he (the driver) states so callously over speaker phone, "oh I left it there". Really, no one cares that I paid for two day express shipping, right? Why am I paying for expedited shipping if carriers can deliver when ever they want??? I am so disgusted and dissatisfied with the overall treatment and lack of customer service and care from this location and the UNITED STATES POST OFFICE in general. Because I see here that this location has many complaints, but it seems to me that nothing is being done to ensure that your customers receive better quality of service. Which is why I didn't just waste my time complaining just to you but also to AMAZON who I order from and obviously has a contract with you. My family and myself refuse to do any further business with Amazon until THIS SITUATION has been handled!!! Thank you for the lack of professionalism and lack of customer service, but no worries, because Fed-ex or UPS will now become my choice for package delivery. When ordering online, I will inquire prior, and IF it is the USPS I will graciously decline ordering from that store. I am a paying customer, meaning that yes I have a choice with whom I choose to do business with, and that is no longer you until you and your offices have been checked, and realigned for proper servicing of your customers!!! signed a once loyal but now very angry and dissatisfied customer!

Some post offices are known for being rude and disorganized but this one takes the cake. How the federal government has not stepped in and arrested these people I don't know. The entire block did not get mail yesterday - January 2nd. It snowed and It was bad - I understand but I do my job because in the cold. When I called to find out about it I was put on hold and the person I spoke to would not give me his name. He said if you didn't get any mail yesterday it was because you didn't have any mail. I told him we were expecting mail - he said just because you were expecting it doesn't mean that you got it. When I asked his name - he said you said something vague to me and I said something vague back. We still didn't get our mail! The entire block didn't get their mail! Get a PO Box - anything to keep you from dealing with these people! Everyone I've spoken to has stated that this is the worst Post office! They never deliver on time. They never have your packages. They always lose your things! If your experience is not a good one Please complain in writing. We need a better Post Office. I just spoke with Ms. Trotter A SUPERVISOR from the Post Office LOCATED AT 11033 SOUTH STATE STREET - this is funny! We complained that we had not received our mail in two days! She stated that "Your stairs aren't shovelled." I asked if he could make a second trip or if we could just pick up the mail as we hadn't received it in two days. She said "NO! Shovel your stairs and maybe you can get it delivered tomorrow.!" ARE YOU SERIOUS! WHAT KIND OF SYSTEM IS THIS? NOW THE POST OFFICE HAS HELD OUR MAIL HOSTAGE. My husband has had a serious back injury. He can't shovel stairs. The person we pay to shovel the stairs comes on Thursday and Sunday. I'M FOUR MONTHS PREGNANT! OBVIOUSLY i CAN'T DO IT. REMEMBER OUR TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR THIS! AGAIN THIS POST OFFICE IS OVER THE TOP RIDICULOUS. GET A POST OFFICE BOX! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE TERRIBLE PEOPLE EVER!

Since October 24th 3 packages have come up missing and y'all don't know why. I researched myself and found out that the packages made it to your station. Also, your worker loved in one as delivered, A LIE!!!! They betbett cance in the gate. AND y'all still giving my mail to somebody else. USPS CORPORATE IS GETTING A CALL EVERYDAY FROM ME UNTIL I GET MY ITEMS. Yall need to be shut down and gutted. Bring the suburban crew to Roseland. They'll get y'all together or fire everyone that doesn't work to standard. This is from 7 months back.... Not only is my mail still going to other people with my personal information after I've made complaints, but LIFE THREATENING mail wad sent back to my medical provider twice since December. It wad a notice telling me I needed to have a procedure taken care of. Due to this incompetence, I ended up having to have an emergency surgical procedure on Friday that had I not went in for pain could have ended my life. This could have been avoided!!!! I'm now home, unable to walk normally, and having to have other services so that what happens doesn't reoccur. I called today and talked the supervisor, Bradley who is going to check with the postman to see is there is "SOMETHING I NEED TO DO ON MY END" and he's sorry about this. He kept saying, Oh my God. I want to see what they do when they are sued. That office needs to be revamped and a whole new efficiency trained crew needs to come in. I wonder if I'll get my package today. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT, IRRESPONSIBLE AND LAZY.

Update: 8/11/23 - Same stuff, different day. Today our mail person (WE MISS YOU MISS J) didn't even attempt to see if our gate opened before hoisting and dropping a heavy box of items I ordered over. Two of my items burst on impact, and now, in my attempt to contact the post office, I keep getting a busy signal. I want our neighborhood post office to be great, and the actual people INSIDE the post office are loads better than when I wrote this, but the people delivering our mail outside of our regular worker just don't care about how they handle our packages. ****************************************************************** If we don't get our regular postal worker, we don't get mail, or our mail is destroyed. Just had a package thrown over my gate because the temporary postal worker didn't attempt to unlock my gate, like they always do. Because of this, a subscription box had all of the contents in it explode everywhere, and now I'm out of what I paid for. I did call the branch, and we'll see how they handle the situation. I'm not holding my breath though. If they do rectify the situation properly, I'll be surprised.

March 12, 2016, I've lived in my home for 15 years and only had 2 explainable issues until now. I had a package (priority) that was to be delivered on the 10th of this month. I receive my mail but no pkg so I call and the supr takes down my name and number to notify me of my pkg. I received no call from him so I called back the next day this supr say well if he say he going to call you back then he will call. I him how hard is it to track a pkg "um I guess not hard at all" he puts me on hold and then the phone call is disconnected. I try calling back but by this time you can't get through because they are closed. They attempt a delivery after 7pm and claim receptacle blocked. You can clearly see just a few feet an opening to get to my door. So I report again for another delivery for Monday 14th. We will see how this turns out. As a former carrier myself I have never seen should poor delivery and customer service. This only happens when my regular carrier not on.

Needs to do better! I've been having problems with various people mail (4-5 to be exact) being delivered to my house which I've lived in for the past 4 years. The mail being delivered is ranging from lots of junk to important mail like legal documents from the police, attorneys & courts. I've been patient trying to work through phone customer service process and USPS internal affairs since I couldn't find a direct number for this branch. This situation forcing me to have to continuously write return to sender / addressee unknown is a pain! Especially when I do so, put in the USPS mailbox at the corner of my block to have it delivered back to my house the very next day... Don't even want to elaborate on what happened when I went into the branch to figure out a solution to my issue. Lets just say the first associate I spoke with at the branch should be FIRED! And I would never want anyone to lose a job...

The clerks are won. They are very polite, courteous and helpful, especially a special lady named Elizabeth. She is patient and filled with excellent public relations. She works almost every day of the week and solve any problems that a person have. Miss Elizabeth is one of a kind. God bless all these wonderful employees. In addition, Lady Nicole, who works in the rear and comes to the front windows in the days to relieve the other workers on their break, is such an exceptional person, a one in a million kind of lady. She is the most attractive or encouraging female I have ever met. She is my number worker stationed at this branch. In fact, I have no problem with these wonderful group of workers. I'm very shy to say this. However, I don't like them. I really love and respect these special workers. Some customers just don't have respect or patients. That's why they say negative things about them.

I had to Uncesserly go to this post office because I haven't received Mail now in 6 days. This is very dangerous for me as I explained to the postal worker. With this cov-19 going around and my immune system is already weak due to my health problems and I'm handicap. The lady that I spoke with said her supervisor is unavailable as I was standing there the supervisor came to the front to help a customer (LIED RIGHT IN MY FACE) as she took my ID she stated that my mail carrier was in the back and I have no mail in the box in the box. She sai she left a note in the mail carrier box and insured me I would get my mail today (4-12-19 Mon.) Needles to say I didn't receive my mail. Now I have to expose myself once again to go back to the post office. This is the worst post office I have ever been to.

If I could give no stars it would be preferred. Anytime a payroll check is on my mail digest and other mail I never receive my payroll check. It’s like ok yall making all this money but of course yall gonna steal as well. Why not? Then you call the unprofessional team who handles these types of situations and they don’t care. Maybe yall splitting it. This is one of the WORST postal offices! I saw the mail person which it’s a different carrier everyday ; could be the reason I’m never receiving mail; BUT ANYWAY. I asked the guy where my check was because it was scanned in and he looked like he had seen a ghost. Um are you shocked because I want my check or are you shocked because you see that I am aware that you may have it?! Either way this place needs to be shut down.

Over time, I have become very fed up with USPS’s drivers. I have had several delayed deliveries of packages for absolutely no reason, especially with my Amazon packages as they often use USPS for their package deliveries. Of my last 5 packages I received an email on 4 of them stating that delivery was “attempted” but they could not deliver due to not having access to my front door which is right out in the open and so easy to access. And they don’t knock either. I truly think the delivery driver gets lazy and decides that instead of walking up 4 steps we’ll let someone else do it another day. The worst service. USPS is the only carrier I have had this problem with. You need to do better, starting with better delivery drivers. I would give no stars if I could.

i have reported over and over again missing mail for 8 adults, 8 children and over four businesses and over and over again it is your fault, you dont know what mail is missing, we dont have it, etc... One day i reported the missing mail and opened mail and wallah, 8pm at night two deliveries with over 20 pieces of mail per delivery for that day, two deliveries! This week, guess whats missing, w'2s that were already supposed to be delivered, how do I know the household has informed delivery! And even still you dont know what you talking about when you are reporting your missing or damaged and opened mail. I've even had opened mail delivered within a usps plasic covering saying we're sorry this was opened by accident within our facility. When will this stop!

Yes..mail carrier doesn't deliver the mail sometimes until late night..and lately has been leaving messages saying they attempt to deliver and cant get access to home...when there is no gate and a big giant mail box..right in front of the door and a doorbell..this has happened ..quite a few times..i believe they are just not delivering and just send the messages to cover themselves for the reason why which is a big lie...i was home didn't leave at all..and receive this message from Amazon..third time in 2 weeks this has happened and someone was home..my daughter was on the porch the 2nd time when the message came through her phone from Amazon...for a small package being delivered from the post office...you all need to look into your carriers

Regular mail delivery person has been gone for about a year and one of her replacements is either throwing mail away or just not delivering it. We go days with out mail and the days where mail was missed, no one knows where it is. The response I received from the clerks at the Post Office is, "Well, he's been out every day". Ok, I've seen him and he does a block or two and then goes back to the truck and we don't get mail. This has been an ongoing issue and nothing has been done. The mail person that is the subject of several complaints actually told my brother that he was upset because people are complaining about him not delivering mail. The solution to that sir, is to deliver people's mail!!!!

The absolute worst mail carriers in the city of chicago. Have special instructions for delivery? Don't worry they'll do the complete opposite and have your packages come up missing time after time. Have a door bell? Don't worry they won't use it and leave your goods out on the steps even if it requires a signature. Have notifications on your phone so you know exactly when it's dropped off because they are too incompetent to correctly deliver? Never fret they'll mark it as delivered when in fact they never arrived at your address. This place needs a thorough investigation into theft and mishandling of mail.

wish i didnt have to give a star at all. My post person MR.HIGHTOWER is the worst, he flirts with all the young girls and pissed b/c my daughter reported it. He delivers mail when he wants to and a 39 pound box for my fundraiser event came up missing right after that as a retaliation I assume. He continues to screw our mail up and person and NO ONE I REPEAT NO ONE has done a darn thing about it. The director says one thing and does not another HE DOES NOTHING.....its so sad that we cant get good service in our community. HOPE I STILL GET MY MAIL AFTER THIS

These people have a vendetta against us and won't deliver our mail let alone our packages we have to go on a hunt because our carrier is not our carrier so she feels the need to release our mail when she feels like it I have exhausted reaching out to anyone they hang up on you they lie they misplace mail and their in office workers are lazy when you come up there to pick up your mail and say it is not their job when you make them get up off their comfy chair we need our mail and packages and your carriers need to stop holding our mail hostage.

Always - They ring the bell when leaving a package. I witness their actions on the RING video doorbell. Gladly - I participate in answering the survey questions. I am delighted to continue to give high ratings. I am completely satisfied with the loyal essential workers at this Roseland Post Office. I think that you will love the EXCELLENT service work that they perform, too.

The absolute worst, I haven’t received mail on a consistent basis in months. The Roseland post office has been messing up before COVID and it has only gotten worse. I didn’t receive mail for 2 weeks, when I finally received it they delivered for two days straight. After that, I haven’t received mail now for a full week. When you go up to the post office they won’t give you the mail or packages. The employees have attitudes that the customers are frustrated. The post office needs customer service training and new managers.

I wish I could give 0 stars. This is by far the worst PO ever. The workers are lazy and incompetent. It’s always a issue receiving packages. If the package doesn’t fit into the mailbox it’s going to be an extra day or so to get it because the carriers are so lazy. They lie about “attempted deliveries” they manipulate the tracking system in their favor. I really wish Amazon consider using another carrier.....what’s the point of Amazon Prime when you don’t receive packages in two days. I can’t wait to move from this area.

My regular mail carrier gets four stars But as far as that post office is concerned they need new management and some reconstructing They are not delivering these packages as they say they are It irritates me that they say they didn't have access to get in clearly on the camera you can get in what are they doingI feel this is an attempt to steal what's in the package No I can be wrong However when they are not monitoring these mail carriers that they're hiring these new folks Anything is Possible.

Everytime I order a package now they mark it as delivered before bringing it to my house. I usually have to wait a few days before I can find out if I'm actually ever getting my package because when you call them they just say "well... it says delivered on our end so..." as if they just aren't responsible for the packages. Horrible post office. Edit: I also love when they marked it as "attempted delivery" when I'm home all day and not a single post office worker has come to ring my doorbell.

The worst post office I’ve ever been to in my whole 42 yrs of living. The manager is very rude & unprofessional talk to ppl any type of way behind that glass. Haven’t got mail in 2-3 weeks but they deme it necessary to deliver packages. Ppl have bills & other important mail that comes in the mail & she refuse to give ppl their mail. Understanding all that’s going on with the pandemic cause I’m a frontline worker but delivering mail should be a priority over delivering packages.

My usual postal worker is amazing and reliable. When I do have issues like when someone is working for them or for any other reason, I always can get help from the clerks here. They are about their business and efficiency so no frills or superficial affectations here. When I call they just need me to get to the issue so that they can resolve it as quickly as possible and personally that's the customer service I prefer. And when I do come in they have been super sweet!

For some reason when I order something, the mail carriers can't seem to not put my stuff outside my apartment building door. I live in an apartment building so that means you can't just leave packages outside because people will take it (I've had it happen already) Someone has talk to these mail men/women. They leave packages where people can take it. Common sense says that if this person lives in an apartment building then maybe I shouldn't leave the package outside.

This Post Office is always losing packages. I and tenants at my other properties have complain to management multiple time about mail being place an other tenants mailbox. The staff is known for putting you on hold for a long period of time and most of the time they never return to the phone. This place needs to be shut down or everyone needs to be replaced with respectable staff. I have never experience this type of behavior until I move into this area.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This Post Office is constantly losing packages (I suspect theft) and their staff is extremely rude. I and several people in the neighborhood have inquired about lost items claiming to be delivered and have been met with nonchalant or rude attitudes. The staff is known for hanging up when you inquire about lost items. This place needs to be shut down or everyone needs to be FIRED and replaced with respectable staff.

I can go to any surrounding suburbs and pick up mail from my property's without an issue. This roseland post office is something not to desire. I'm going to say this, I'll bring in a different set of management as well as mix up the culture. It is a predominantly African American neighborhood and never should received b.s. service like this. I push the issue with the local alderman but it failed on deaf ears unless its election time. What a joke.

My old dependable postal carrier retired over a year ago, and now the service is really bad. I had some pictures to be delivered and packages the clearly stated DO NOT BEND. Not only were the pictures bent, the package was open with one 8X10 picture missing. I have also had problems getting mail timely and I am constantly getting my neighbors' mail...Does anyone pay attention to the address listed on the envelope anymore?

We receive mail in West Pullman on 124th Harvard once a week. Yesterday I got mail dated July 14th 2021 & Yesterday was July 27th 2021..this is simply ridiculous they put my child support check in someone else's mail box last month, thank goodness the people brought it to me a week later I might add..what is so hard about delivering mail daily and delivering it to the correct address. Geesh Geesh

Worst post office ever and i work for USPS my damn self. I don't understand how difficult it is to ring a doorbell and leave a package that tells you to leave it at my house whether I'm home or not. And of course, I was home when they claimed the front door to my HOUSE was inaccessible! Beyond pissed off. My regular carrier is the best. Whomever can't find the front door is an asshat!

My packages are being marked 'delivered' yet they are not! The second attempted delivery of a clearly marked box (making it easier to know the contents) have gone missing! What is happening? Will the USPS refund my money? Can I still trust the neighborhood(111th and State St) post office??? I believe the substitute carrier stole several of our packages. This is unacceptable

These reviews are giving me second thoughts. I have a package that was sent there from FedEx (I wish FedEx) would've kept it, and delivered it themselves. It's said "Out for delivery" since 8:57 this morning, and it is NOW nearly 5 pm, and I have not seen ONE mail carrier through the whole neighborhood. This is ridiculous, and it shouldn't happen.

I have lived in my house for over 20 years. They still deliver the wrong mail to my house. Vacation holds are a joke. I get mail everyday despite the vacation hold. Quite a few times I have gone to bed with an empty mailbox and checked the next morning and have mail. The mail carrier is never the same from month to month, sometimes daily changes.

Deliver my package to the wrong address, said they would handle it, but it's been a month no answer nothing has been done. If it was their package they would be on it right away and confront the handler, but since it's not their problem they just brush it under a rug and hope you forget about it. Was suppose to receive a package on March 23rd and said it was delivered but wasn’t. Email said delivered to my door steps @10:45a and I was sitting in the living room waiting all morning but never received my package. I’ve literally called this post office 50xs and still no answer. These postal workers are stealing our mail/packages.

These guys had me wait on the phone for 45 minutes just to hang up on me when I said hello. Also I'm still waiting for my package that was suppose to be delivered a week ago. I'm handicap and cant walk to the post office to pick if up , so its important I get my mail delivered to my mail box. This is criminal how terrible USPS is.

At times substitute carriers lose packages and won’t deliver mail. I believe they are short staffed and do not have enough carriers for my route. The supervisors are incompetent and lack customer service skills. My male carrier is the only one who delivers my mail and packages on time. 0 stars would be the TRUTH!

This is actually the best post office I've ever been too. They're very friendly and fast. The post office in Morgan park is full of rude, disrespectful, & slow people. I'm so happy I moved next to this one! There's never a long line or wait. Pleasantly surprised. I go a few times a week, never had an issue.

This P.O. is by far the WORST one in the city.... Horrible customer service.. Long lines... It is hard to fathom how they stay open. The only reason they have one star is because You can't give them less than one. Oh Yes....Final nail in the coffin... They open at NINE THIRTY!!!.... Ridiculous..

Just like most of the other people in the reviews, once again it's saying my packages were delivered to someone but I have no packages. Who did you deliver them to because nobody was here. This post office is a joke. There's so much internal theft at this location it's ridiculous.

One of the worst post office haven't seen or had any mail in 3 days plus the mail man is always coming after 6PM very poor service it needs better management and trying to call them they let the phone ring this is all day trying to reach them but the phone just keeps ringing.

I order 4 video games and they were out for delivery on Monday and somehow they got a hold of my packages and I still haven’t gotten my 4 packages and it’s been almost a week now and the tracking update says it’s still processing USPS WHERE ARE MY PACKAGES

Carriers are stealing small boxes and amazon packages. Tracking number says attempted delivery but that is a LIE. I am working from home all day bc of quarantine; I have not received anything. This has happened 4 times since February. What is going on???

I had delivery problems in the past. But, Mr. Gee the manager made some changes and my post person(s) are on it now. I actually get my mail delivered by 11a now, when before it was 04:30p or later, if delivered at all. Praise God! Thanks Mr. Gee

Roseland Post Office has always provided Excellent Service to me. My Mail Carrier- Ms. Cynthia is polite and consistent! If there is a problem the Postal Workers at the Office have been more than willing to assist me. I am completely satisfied.

Worst post office I've ever seen. You may get your mail in a few weeks. I Iwas asked what was I looking for .. oh my goodness my mail ! I didnt know i needed to specify and this is business mail! There solution was to get a P.O. box.

mail delivery is horrible no mail for weeks at a time no carrier in our area cause they there hurt so others fill in to deliver for overtime but we still gets no mail got mail Thursday after waiting a week and complaining

Trying to track down a package is like searching for the holy grail. I had to call four times before I got any information. I got disconnected, rerouted to the automated recording, the number listed on google is outdated.

My packages has not been delivered after 3 days of expected delivery, first the tracking says out for delivery, and when I check the tracking says no access. Must be the new mail carrier that is Very lazy and neglectful.

Horrible service! They misplace or claim to deliver packages they never delivered. They put packages anywhere even when they are instructed not to and they don't answer the phone because they know they're in the wrong!

Every comment on here is definitely true. I got 2 messages about an attempt to deliver my package on a Sunday and Monday. I was home both days, my bell works. I guess because it's a black area they don't care.

This is the worst post office in America. Worse Customer service people I've ever come in contact with. Attendant sent my package back to me in areas of where it was supposed to go. Then cussed me out for it.

This post office was a hidden gem, the word got out and everybody from everywhere started coming here. Plus the closing of the Chinatown office added to the crowding. It's still one of my favorite offices.

No mail delivery in an entire week! They also listed that there was a delivery attempt on a package that was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago and no attempt was ever made. WORST POST OFFICE EVER!!!

Letter carriers are beyond belief, Monday (11/28/2016) the carrier delivered my mail after 7:30 p.m. and now it's Wednesday 11/30/2016 and the mail carrier still haven't arrived and it's 7:30 p.m.

The mail carriers and there superiors should all be terminated at the same time. Their just a bunch of un-professional clowns. If post offices do close, this facility should be first on the list.

I have been calling this location for 2hrs and received no answer I called to other locations and they answered which means this location just chooses not to answer their phone.

Last Saturday was the second time in 2 weeks that tracking said it was delivered and I even talked to the mail carrier both days and they said they didn't have it on the truck

They steal packages. Never call them to file a claim call the 1800 number directly. I also caught the mail lady putting packages on my porch without ringing the door bell.

The one of the worst government offices in the Roseland area. It's no wonder people over here killing each other & can't pay their bills. They get no mail around 60628

I have called and I have been on hold for over an hour!!! I haven’t gotten any mail in almost a MONTH! This is ridiculous!! The workers are rude as hell! This is sad.

My P-ebt card was stolen from this post office. They dont know I have informed deliveryman app that tells me what is being delivered. And i got all mail but that.

Sometimes I get mail and sometimes I don't and they have a habit of putting my neighbors mail in my mailbox and I have to deliver it to them!! Ridiculous

My package was delivered at the Address 10615 Halsted 60628 my address is 10615 Hale Chicago 60643 but the supervisor Mr Charlene straighted out for me

This station should be closed and revamped with new people. I work for the P.O. they never deliver but do say they attempted witch is the biggest lie.

Anytime I've had problems I've called and it's been addressed, the customer service is excellent at this location.

I gets everyone mail from 3-4 blocks and my mailman delivers my mail at 6-7 o'clock at night this is a dam shame
