Worst experience at a USPS ever. Thankfully this is a post office out of my area so I will gladly never go back but I have friends in the area and I will warn them because they actually try to scam you. I wanted to ship out a small, light package and I was disrespected from start to finish (employee was also eating while weighing the package which I found to be a little weird). They weighed the package and said it was going to cost $40. I thought that was pretty unbelievable so I asked them what they base it off (obviously the weight) but how do they come up with that sort of price. I got no explanation, I was rudely asked if I was going to send the package or not. I grabbed it and left. I went to a location not to far away and they quoted it for half the price… how does that make sense? I’m pretty sure the lady was Sherri, since I read other reviews that describe the same woman. Not sure why she’s employed there still, I know there is a shortage right now but USPS has always been reliable so it’s extremely disappointing. Don’t go here! Save yourself the money and go somewhere else.
This location is by far the worst USPS experience I have ever had. I purchased a $40 item online and paid for Priority shipping (1-3 days). The seller provided a receipt of proof dropping off this package at this post office from an entire week ago (Friday November 3). Since then, I have not received the package nor have seen any scans or transit updates when checking the tracking number. I have tried calling the phone number of this location several times, to which they never answer and the line disconnects after a couple minutes. I have put in multiple service requests, each time I am greeted with the typical automated robot response and nothing happens whatsoever. They do not care about their customers or recipients. Extremely unprofessional service quality and their ignorance is truly appalling. My assumption is that my Priority $40 package is sitting in a bin in their office, and none of the employees could be bothered to collect or check for the item after a full 7 days. So disappointed, truly disheartening after many years of sending and receiving packages using the USPS.
I can honestly say I have never encountered ruder human beings than the ones who work here. My mom sent me a valentines day package (she has been doing this since i was a kid) and for some reason it was being held at the USPS store. I was instructed by someone on the phone to go to this post office to retrieve it. I stepped up to the counter and said what I was there for to only receive a legitimate response of "no". I wasn't even asking a question and all she kept saying was no. She then started to completely ignore me when I started to ask her to please help me find out where I need to go to retrieve my package. I pulled up the USPS tracking to show her that it was being held there and she said "I didn't write that so it isn't here". Fast forward to 3 days later, and my close friend delt with the exact same type of customer service. Truly a disgrace that a human being so awful is representing your services. She genuinely left us feeling violated.
I have never had a worse experience with customer service than I did here at this USPS location. I went into make a few quick returns and immediately was ignored without even a hello. I was instantly instructed to tape up my packages - but was also told I was “holding up the line”. While being a bit shocked and trying to tape them up, i went back to buy the tape and was told I was not allowed to get my return label and I can go somewhere else. She immediately threw my label in the trash and ignored me repeatedly when trying to understand how I could not be helped. Overall a terrible experience, all other employees ignored me as well and refused to assist, forcing me to leave. Unfortunate that rude people chose to work in customer service!
Never thought I'd be writing a review for a post office but here we are... I'm laughing reading the reviews because we didn't look before coming. The two ladies at the counter were beyond rude for absolutely no reason. We are standing there watching one of them scroll on Facebook on her phone, she states to us "so are you ready or what!?". I stated back "well you're on your phone, so are you ready?", Her response "I'm allowed to do whatever I want on my phone". Ok... Then proceeds to be rude throughout the entire interaction, look I'm just here to ship out a package Glad to see our tax dollars hard at work here, happy holidays, but good luck to you if you chose to come to this post office.
I always dread having having to go to USPS but this location in particular is especially horrible. I am never able to complete the task I came for in one trip because of some dumb reason, like they won’t tape a prepaid label on your package. Even so, these minor inconveniences wouldn’t be that big of a deal if it weren’t for the fact that the staff at this location are consistently so very rude. They always act like I am an inconveniencing them for having to do their job. I’ve worked countless customer facing jobs and it’s not difficult to be polite. Avoid this location, go to the one on Ashland instead.
It's continually frustrating that they seem to close this location whenever they like. Google says 6:30pm, signage on the door says 6pm, and I'm told at about 5:15pm when I get there that they're doing drop off only. I ask "so, what are your hours?" and the clerk responds "now, we're closing." it was about 5:20pm. I said, "so, 5:30pm?" with no response. If they want to change the hours, fine, but be transparent and consistent about it. This is not the first time I've encountered them closing 30+m early. Is this standard across USPS? Are workers not being given paid time to close up shop?
Went to this post office to get Christmas stamps because when I called they said they had a bunch in stock. When I went they had only one booklet and when I said I called an hour earlier to confirm they said that it is impossible because they never pick up their phones.... The girl asked where I got the number and I said google and she said that was the problem... I never write reviews but I don't understand how rude employees could continue to be employed. I would never treat someone like that and why wouldn't they pick up their phones? I checked the phone number and it is accurate.
They open and close whenever they want, the hours are a farce. The clerks really are as unhelpful and mean as the other reviews say. I try not to ever talk to them more than the fewest words required because they literally delight in being obtuse and rude on the occasion you really need assistance, all smiles and smugness. I hate for my child to see adults act that way so I am in and out as fast as possible. I feel sad for them for being so miserable, and sad for us for the treatment. I hope the Ashland location opens again soon, I miss them.
The lady working is VERY rude. She told me they don’t take cash. And when I asked her why, she told me I could go complain at the Clark location. And I told her I’m pretty sure it’s illegal not to accept cash because it’s a federal building, and she says, DEBIT IR CREDIT, and when I asked her, why again, she repeated that I could go make a complaint at the Clark location. It’s sad that you absolutely have to have a bank account and or a credit card in order to ship a package now. What is this world come to?
Staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. Paid for a global stamp about two weeks ago at the register. Employee took our envelope without the stamp and ensured us that it was getting taken care of. A week later we received the envelope marked return to sender for no postage. Went back to the exact same employee with the initial receipt and she refused to give us the stamp that we paid for and refused to admit that she was wrong. Upon leaving we could hear her mocking us with other employees.
Horrible office and experience! I arrived 40 minutes beofre their online posted closing time, and over 10 minutes before their “revised” closing time and the office was completely closed. I had to travel at least 30 min just to get here. The USPS has to be the most unhelpful inconvenient way to send mail and work with. I as well as other customers were shocked to see they closed prior to their normal posted times. I will not be giving the USPS office any of my money if i can help it!
This location is historically under staffed. There are often issues with the system being down, or offline. Not sure if those are systems issues, or the staff is burnt out and just need a break. I don't blame the employees. They need some help from USPS with: hiring more people putting in more self service kiosks updating the tech Practice your calming breaths before you come here, as you will need them to get past the long lines and inefficient process.
Decent post office. I try and use the self-service machine when the line is long (around lunch and after work). The workers are hit or miss. When it's not busy they are great! I was once asked to use the self-service machine when I had my QR code ready, but there was no line and the machine had 3 people in it... I would hope that they would be willing to help people that might have trouble with the machine and just scan the code.
Mailed out about 130 wedding invites on October 29 and handed all to the girl at the window. Most people are receiving them now (Nov 9), almost 2 weeks later and they are postmarked New York City New York! How does this even happen!? UPDATE: still waiting for some of these to be delivered. Some are arriving without a postmark at all and some are postmarked New York.
Update 4/19: I reached out to the head of Customer Experience at the USPS who escalated the issue and had IT resolve it today. This location should now be fully functioning again! For the past 3 weeks (at least - maybe more), this location has had no internet and can only accept exact cash for transactions. They also cannot scan QR codes to print shipping labels.
Absolutely insane how this post office is still in business with no remediation. The clerks are always rude, but that wouldn’t matter if my packages got shipped. I have lost many packages from this staff. They shut down in the middle of the day for “lunch” even if it’s not lunch time. Just stop wasting tax dollars and shut this place down.
Showed up more than 10 minutes before close with a package that I just needed to have a WR code scanned for. This process takes less than a minute. But while the door was unlocked, the woman behind the second set of doors shook her head at me. It’s not a holiday, so I expected them to keep their posted hours a little better than that.
They do not honor their hours. I arrived 40 minutes before their closing time and they locked the doors and ignored three of us standing there with packages to drop off. It’s fine if you have earlier hours but you need to honor your hours and not close randomly and arbitrarily. This is a government service not a mom and pop shop.
yall gotta shut up about the employees they are queens and kings and i am tired of this slander. is the service good. no. does it close at absolutely any time of day. all the time. deal with it and be kind and respectful to USPS employees, their job is not fun
Came during operating hours and it is closed without notice or information about when it might open again or where the nearest post office available - in operation - is. Another customer here had already been to a second USPS to find that it was also closed.
1 star is generous. Scheduled to open at 9, about a dozen of us were waiting outside the doors for the office to open. A worker came in around 9:40 FaceTiming a buddy. Claimed the “system was down” and the office would be kiosk only all day.
I've always been able to get what I need at this location, and when I am considerate to the employees they are nice in return. I don't expect all retail staff to be saints at any store. That said, they should maintain posted operating hours.
I have never met a more disgruntled and unprofessional post office clerk. Her name is Sherri and she’s described in multiple reviews here already. She was incredibly rude to me - throwing my prepaid package and telling me I have to scan it
The people working here couldn't be any more rude and unprofessional, it's like they're doing it for fun. I feel so incredibly uncomfortable whenever I have to go in. They are fully aware at how rude and inefficient they are but they know
Absolutely the worst post office in the system. I am standing outside, at 3:20 PM, on Wednesday, November 22. As I know the post office will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, I came today to mail a birthday present. They are closed.
Post office worker a lady with orange hair bad attitude/rude African American took care of an African American what else a guy behind me when I was first in line and she yell “come down sir, no not you” meaning me, wow the worse part she
One star it too much for this postal office branch, and that's when it's open. The branch randomly closes during published working hours: could be Monday morning, could be midday Saturday- you never know when and why. No notice or
Arrived 15 min before the posted close time on the USPS site and the sign on the door stated that they were closed. Evidently, even though the site says they close at 6:30pm on weekdays, if you need a person to assist it’s 6pm.
Every time I've been here, there were no employees working and only the self-service kiosk was available. Buy your stamps at Walgreens and bring your mail to another location, because this one is effectively non-functioning.
Closed an hour before they are supposed to and then once I gave them my package, got a receipt, it was never sent. They legitimately threw it out. Horrible. Ridiculous. Despicable. I don’t even know what else to say.
This place isn't open on Mondays at 9, or 9:30 or even 10am. Sometimes they don't open until 11 and that's only if another manager gets a call about this location. Don't waste your time. This location is useless.
Be forewarned - their hours on Google maps are not correct. Close at 6pm (I arrived at 5:50 and they’d already locked the doors) and their internet doesn’t work so they can’t take QR codes, the employee told me.
Not only are the staff here some of the rudest, most disrespectful people, but they also regularly close much earlier than they’re supposed to (6:00pm instead of 6:30pm). I would give them zero stars if I could.
Was instructed to print my label at FedEx since they didn’t offer printing services. Told her I’d be back shortly. Returned with my printing label and the woman working had closed up shop 30 minutes early.
Service is simply zero. If it was possible to put 0, I would. There were 15 minutes left before the end of the working day and they simply kicked me out and did not serve me during their working hours
This is the most unreliable post office I've ever experienced. It's consistently closed when it's supposed to be open. 10:30am on a Saturday I walked in and the doors are shut and windows closed.
Just prepare yourself to be talked down to by government employees. Go in expecting a homeless person to be playing bouncer & to be disrespected, & you'll be fine.
Quick and easy experience when I needed to mail a package! Clerks were patient and efficient! Just be kind to the staff and hopefully they will return the favor!
Despite being open until "630pm" if they are behind they will close early at 500pm and you can only drop off... So get there before 5pm or don't waste your time.
This post office closes at 3pm on Saturday. We arrived at 1pm and the post office employee refused to let anyone in because she was by herself. Like what?!?
The people who work here are unhelpful and condescending! Horrible place. Edit: 8 years later and this USPS had gotten worse. The stair lift has been
I've been twice during their posted open hours but they're locked up and definitely closed well before 6:30p. Understaffed or poorly managed or both.
Super lazy I don't know why do you need to hire people If they telling you just to go to kiosk They can just leave a sign ^go to the box^
Please see photo. I consistently am turned away from this post office. No credit card. No change. No QR code. How about just No Mail?
Rude staff, slow workers they take 30 minutes to send one box. I highly recommend going elsewhere. They should shut this place down.
This post office lives up to the hype. The mailbox outside at least seems to get my letters where they're going.
Crawling on all 4s and delivering your mail in person would be more effective than this post office.
says it’s open till 6:30 online. get there at 5:45 and it’s closed.
Randomly closed two hours early today? Great customer service!
