I wished there is an option for negative rating for this USPS office, especially this office in general. And, I thought, the Chicago Chinatown USPS branch was bad. This USPS office made the Chinatown post office shine. I have visited this branch post office several time in the past 40 years, because they are the next closes one besides the one in Chinatown, that is understaffed (most often just one staff), often quite busy with very long line at certain hour and close for lunch unlike this branch. I have visited this post office many time (dreading each time I visit this post office). The service has only gotten worse, if I was not force to use them to mail an item to a P.O. box. Plus, this office has not only lost my registered mail once, but twice. Fortunately, I have backup copies, but it has cost me time and money. First time, this post office back in 1980s, the employees (made up of different nationality) were polite, and were willing to help their customers and those who are disabled. Now, I feel unwelcome and bothersome as if I should not be there and I should be with my own kind and not in their neighborhood. I am not saying all USPS employees are that way, but it seems like it, when USPS employees are in their own office environment, instead of being regular outdoor postal carrier. I am not trying to make excuses for their rude behavior, but I tend to get them each time. Even if, I had over 40 years of customer service experiences. Still, one had to treat their customer better, even like myself, who has been disabled for several years after H1N1. I asked politely asked for an priorty envelope, but was told to walk the other end with my walker to the stand where they keep the envelope instead of handing me one at their station as they had done in the past, knowing it is not easy to walk back and forth at one end and back to the other. Plus, I dropped one of the certified slip, and I needed help picking up, but they were not willing to give one, except told to walk again to the counter where they keep the forms. While, I was busy filling out my slip once again. I noticed another customer behind me. He was treated better then myself. I guessed, it pay to be of the same nationality. Eventually, I got my stuff done and mailed out, and hope I do not have to visit this USPS office again in the near future. ====== Jan 15, 2021 I lost an important medicine through the USPS, which UPS transferred to USPS for delivery. I called USPS central office, and all I got was an automated voice system. I went through the system, and it was no help at all, which I tried twice. I call their central number, and all I got was voice mailbox. I called this 22nd St. office (which I dread), the phone rang for sometimes, and it stopped. I guessed, the USPS office got to go. Even, if it dated back in the mid-1800s. At least, in the mid-1800s. They have better service and delivery. I guessed, I will not have my medicine this month. Fortunately, it is pay through medicare.
Normally a very poor experience here, but one person surprised me. FedEx Smartpost uses USPS to do the final delivery. I saw in tracking that there was an attempted delivery but no one was home (untrue - mom was home). Funny thing: my mom actually met with the carrier and gave them outgoing mail and packages. The carrier, of course, did not give anything to her. And there were no sticky notifications on the door to indicate a missed delivery. If I didn't check online, I wouldn't have known. With Smartpost, USPS does not attempt to redeliver the next day. It just sits at the post office until you call them (which you won't know about unless you're actively tracking the package). I called and was answered by someone who was rude and attitude-ridden. I stayed calm and was able to turn the person around. She said she would get this redelivered, but it didn't happen. I called later in the day and she said it would go out again the next day. At around 4:30 pm, my mom informed me mail came, but packge did not arrive AGAIN. So I called up, and this time she apologized and informed me she told the carrier to take it and not sure why they didn't. After shuffling through some scenarios (pick up? redelivery?) she finally said she was able to flag someone down to deliver my package RIGHT NOW (this is around 4:30pm!!!). Although initially rude and crude, I just continue to be sugary and was able to get on the other person's good side and she went above and beyond. Not sure how to rate - on one hand, that was a huge fumble, and I shouldn't have to be beg and become a submissive to get good service. On the other hand, the person on the phone (and the carrier) went above and beyond to rectify the issue. It started out as poor, went to fair, and I guess it landed on good. Thanks, whoever you are!
Went there for the first time and never going there again. My review on Clerk 6 on August 22 at 1:22PM (hopefully the post office will review this and the clerk). This person had an attitude problem and was so disrespectful when I was trying to ask questions about the service politely that I was not sure about. She had an aggressive, annoyed tone of voice. She is working at a customer service job and she can't do the simplest customer service job. At the end when she was handing my credit card back to me, I took it out of her hand very quickly and she lost her temper. She started screaming this: "You didn't have to do that, you almost broke my nail and I was not even rude to you one bit, it is not my fault you can't hear me when I answer you...you're rude...I am sick of working here, I am done, I am leaving..." and she just got up and left to the back. I could then hear her screaming in the back and someone else asking her, "What are you mad now for?" So, I was standing there confused and the line was getting longer. I waited for about 15 minutes and when she got back, I asked her if my package was done and if I had to do anything else, but she just ignored me. So, I kept standing there and she took the next person, so after that person left, I went in front of her and asked again and she replied rudely, "I gave you your receipt, didn't I?" She still had an attitude, it was so odd. I never experienced such low class. I then left, hopefully my package went through and is safe. I wasted about an hour when it was just a 5 minute thing. Yeah, never going again.
It's always not a pleasant experience going to this post office. They lost my parcels twice and I have been going there back and forth countless times to try to get the problems resolved, though, no luck, they kept me waiting for an hour until they close the store, then asked me to go home and wait for their calls. AND I never received any calls from them! Recently, I have been waiting for my package to arrive then I check the tracking to see the status of the parcel. However, the first time I checked it they said it's out for delivery, though, I didn't received anything. I keep checking until two weeks later, the status changed to, "status not updated", well, that's always the case so I won't be surprised, and I kept waiting to see if I receive any notice or parcel from the mail, though no luck. Another week passed, I called and asked them (I have been trying to call but there's no way to keep in contact with the custom service, instead they keep putting you to talk with the machine! hate it!). Anyway, the parcel ended up sending back to the sender.!!!!!! That's crazy, I didn't receive any notices at all!!! They piss me off so much!!!!
When I went to pick up my package, they refused to hand over the package. I showed them my ID and everything. They said that "your ID's address doesn't match the delivery address". Well of course it doesn't! I'm only here temporarily for an internship. Even after explaining that to her, she still stuck with her original statement. "You need to reschedule for redelivery or have mail addressed to you at that address." I'm sorry but it appears that she might not have passed high school or something since internship to most people would mean that they work all day. Now I have no idea how to get that important document. I had to call up the USPS headquarters to get this sorted out because of an ignorant and uneducated person. I never had this problem in Urbana, IL. Not only did she waste my time, she was completely unhelpful and just sounded like a record player. USPS needs to do some checks on their employees. This is not the way to run a delivery service. This lady needs to be put through some common sense classes.
Everyone in the post office from bottom to top needs to be fired! I am taking it up and I will make sure they don't work with the USPS anymore. I have had couple of experiences at the location and I have came to a conclusion about the services being rendered at this 2035 S State St. USPS location. I was expecting a very important mail, a book (NAPLEX study book) to prepare for my exam. It didnt come for 2 week so I decided to visit my apartment Mailroom and I was told USPS guy serving our building havent brought any mail for 3 weeks ( She/He is on leave/vacation). I cancelled my book order, got refunded and re-ordered using UPS. few days ago, I got a slip in my mailbox, then headed to the postoffice and to my surprise, there goes the book. I do not want to go through the pain of trying to remembering how rude those ladies at the USPS station were, I dont wanna remember it. They treat their works like they own the place and can do anything they want with a mail intended to be expedited.
I live on the stretch of 1900 South Canalport. Most days the mail carrier does not show up. I was told by several carriers that they are too busy and do not have enough time to complete their entire route. I won’t speak on the physical demands of the job and the shape of the carriers. The USPS is understaffed! Secondly, they do not place correctly and properly addressed mail in the corresponding mailbox. Example the once or twice a week the mail actually gets delivered, my box is cluttered with mail of tenants in my building and neighbors on my block and from completely other blocks! 3rd. Months of the aforementioned mail is piled up in the hallway labeled returned to sender! The mail is never picked up by the postal employee. I’ve called this branch and gone in several times when I moved to this area summer 2017 and noticed inconsistencies with the mail service. When dealing with this particular post office be prepared for excuses, lack of accountability, and general laziness
Got a posting on my door to pick up a package which is odd since 30 other people live in my building so I'm sure no effort was made to ring the doorbell if they even tried to deliver the package, nothing specified what it was, or from and no re-delivery instructions so I called to see if I could pick it up and what I needed to bring since i thought it was a gift from someone. I got there, and showed them my id with my picture and name on it which matched the package but since my address on my drivers licence didn't match, they wouldn't give me my package without a bill or piece of mail. I make a second trip (gas not being cheep these days) to find out that the package was free priority mail boxes i had ordered weeks ago. Not to mention that all their free parking spaces are filled by non-customers forcing the customer to stick a quarter in the machine to pick up their mail. Simply upsetting and disappointing to say the least.
This place is full of thieves. EVERY-SINGLE-TIME FedEx or UPS transfers any packages here (which they do often for delivery efficiency purposes), it mysteriously gets lost. I order a ton of items online that I track constantly on the UPS/FedEX websites. I live in the South Loop, 60616 - so they'll often transfer items to this post office to help offload/offset their delivery labor. But the post office personnel will never "scan it in" to account for the items' receipt there, that way whoever was in the items possession at the post office can steal it. I order a ton of items online so I constantly track my packages on the UPS/FedEX websites. This is the WORST post office in the USA. These are supposed to be Federal Employees. They're unreliable, untrustworthy, lazy, lack customer service skills, and don't care about anything but a paycheck. Don't go here. Burn this place down.
The service is terrible...especially with package delivery...whenever I track packages from here...information is always wrong...they love to put notice left ...and never put a notice...I have gotten two things weeks after it was suppose to be here and one package ,they put delivered to mailbox and nothing was in the mailbox. When u call or visit ...just more problems and no truthful explanation...just tell u something to keep u quiet...they need more help and ppl that can do the job w/o all the attitude. Why shouldn't a customer be upset about packages we pay money to have delivered and you can't even tell us where the package is sitting?...or tell us the info says it was put in your box ...well you guys info seems to be wrong too many times.Your carriers shouldnt put false information if they know they didn't deliver it ...but still document it as delivered.Need big changes.
Miss Clark helped me locate a lost package which was the medication my dog needs in order to process her food, and ultimately survive. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and Miss Clark told me “she would do everything in her power to find me that medication” - while I thought it was sweet, I also thought it was probably out of her control if the package was lost. I ordered another batch which wouldn’t arrive until Monday. Sunday evening, Miss Clark called me at 7pm to tell me she found the medication and to come pick it up. Her sincerity and genuine desire to help me warmed my heart. Anyone who has worked retail or gone shopping knows how insane of a time of year this is for delivery services. While Miss Clark could have easily just “added me to the list” she went out of her way and above and beyond to make sure my dog was okay. I cannot express my gratitude any further.
We’ve had so many issues with our mail since moving here, most people in my neighborhood, including myself, send their packages to their work offices because it’s a 50/50 chance you’ll actually get it. I’ve seen mail just thrown in a box, jury duty on the ground, and packages opened with no note or tape from usps. Went in to ship some packages and the lady at the counter was nice but barely said a word to me & sped through the confirmations of the addresses - which worries me because who knows if she read or typed the addresses correctly!? I felt very jaded because I couldnt confirm where my mail was going & she didn’t give me a shipping option - instead chose to ship my prioirty mail by weight (of course the MOST EXPENSIVE). I spent $60 on 4 small local packages. I’m done with USPS! Get it together, learn customer service, and be respectful of your customers!!!
I am BAFFLED by how bad this post office is. I would rate it 0 star but I obviously couldn't. Everyone there are just lazy and rude people. I am genuinely surprised by the fact this post office is still up and running. Mailmans will sometime purposely not deliver your package if it seems like too much work for them. Bad attitude when you are there just to get what is rightfully yours. And the worst part is that sometime you go there, with your request pick up confirmation and tracking number, to get your package and they won't give it to you because you don't have a notice due to the fact that they didn't give you the notice on the first place but it appears that they did on the tracking. If I have the authority I would tear down the place. I don't care if they lose their jobs because they don't deserve a cent.
Worst post office I have ever been to. The staff are all rude and the managers are worse. They serve my zip so I have to interact with them. Would never go there otherwise. I have tried to complain to the regional office but they don't seem to care. Avoid this place if you can. One example of many - I ordered postage for a package online and requested a pick up. (you can do this) No one showed up for the pick up so the next day I brought it here and the manager told me that I wasted my $35 and would have to repurchase the postage there if I wanted to ship the package - this after 35 minutes in line and a 10 minute encounter with the initial clerk who was completely clueless. I took the package to the post office on Clark and they happily accepted it and apologized for the mix up on the pick up.
I've been to many post offices in Chicago, this unfortunately is my local one. I go out of my way to Harrison to avoid this location if I need to mail anything is the extent I'm willing to go to for my own sanity. The staff here are by far the worst I've seen, everyone that walks in happy walks out upset or livid by the service provided. You're expected to be at their hands and feet just to have them talk to you about the service their company is offering. You will never know where your package is because they can't keep track of their own heads. If it says it's out for delivery, expect it to be delivered (maybe) the next day. Your package could be sitting right next to them and they wouldn't know. Give the jobs to people who actually deserve it.
They hire new customer service reps. and they’re just as horrible as the former reps. ♀️. I hate having to deal with these people. The carriers suck, too! Today, 12/22/18, a package I’ve been waiting for since 12/10/18 was marked as delivered. I check my mailbox only to find that there was no key (for package locker). When a package has been successfully delivered, there’s always a key in my mailbox, but not today . Now I have to wait until Monday to see wth is up. Also, my carrier, #027 I believe, has a habit of mixing other residents’ mail with mine every now & then. I’m sure other residents have received my mail once or twice due to this habit. I’m wondering if that’s the case with the key. ♀️
Ms Cassandra and Ms Armon was the worst employees that I have ever dealt with a USPS especially this facility that I been coming to for years, they were rude, bland and honestly disrespectful. Especially Ms Cassandra the employee with a blonde buzz cut and glasses who proceeded to tell her manager how I was lying about a service which included utilizing the priority slip they stick to the customer box who paid for priority shipping. I didn’t have tape but because I paid for priority service I thought it should be fine to use the priority tape at the desk they proceeded to talk to me slow and said that is a courtesy and we are not offering you that courtesy. Awful service and it’s suck this is the closest USPS in my area!
The black lady with thin, long bohemian twists was rude and unprofessional. Every time I come here, she rolls her eyes and is very short with customers. If you don’t like your job, find another one! The man who is usually in here is so nice and informative. I asked her what do I need to do to get a label and use my own box. She said “we ain’t got no tape.” How do you not have tape for customers in the whole store? I literally had to leave her line, walk around until the other man called me to his register to be properly serviced. I have to do this every time I come in here because the women are SO NASTY and CATTY. I genuinely do not understand what their issue is. Praying for them.
The BEST post office in the city! I sell on eBay and Etsy which means I’m always shipping packages. I make a special trip from my home in Printers Row to use *this* post office! Everyone that works here is always super friendly, helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. While sometimes there may be a long line, the wait goes very fast because the staff actually cares about their customers, and gets everyone quickly through the line. If you’re looking for fast friendly service, and postal employees that are helpful, efficient, and nice, then this is your post office. Just remember to treat people with kindness and that’s what you’ll get in return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I believe that Google should start considering adding a zero-star rating seriously because of a place like that deserves zero out of 5. The WORST customer service i've ever seen in my entire life. It took me one hour to pick up a package, and after going through long lines and arguing with the rude personnel, they ended up giving me the wrong package. Which had me go back and arguing with these rude people again trying to get my right package, but after spending a lot of time arguing with them -exactly THREE HOURS- I didn't get the package. I'd file a complaint regarding that, but I know it's just useless as arguing with these rude staff.
Pathetic service at this post office. I mean it. The staff behaves like providing service to customers is doing them a favor. They are paid for it, they should do it at ALL TIMES. I went to get a letter that was in transit for 3 days expected to have arrived 3 days before and they tossed me from one counter to another. I called their usps customer service and they said the address on the letter was wrong when clearly it was correct. Thank god for informed delivery service because I had an digital image of the front window of the letter and was able to verify myself that the address is correct. I recommend informed delivery.
I wish my packages would not get sent here!! They lie all the time an say they've attempted to deliver a package when I know for a fact I've been in the house all day an no one tried to deliver anything. I never even receive the little sticky notice that their suppose to leave if they had been there!! This happens all the time so I'm almost certain that this is not a mistake, the postal worker is just too lazy to do their job. They always have a long line outside the door and the cashiers move entirely too slow and have bad attitudes! Maybe they need to retire. Don't waste your time going here if you don't have too!!!!
No exaggeration. 0 stars. And I don't even live in Chicago yet. All my interactions with some particular woman there have been rude. I sent 4 large flat rate boxes with my valuable items to Chicago from Houston and there was a problem with the delivery. Where are my packages now? Nobody knows. When I call they said my packages were sent to the postal inspector's office but when tracking it, it says they were returned to me. This was about 2 weeks ago. I've sent packages to that same address before. And the person on the phone seems to take great pride in letting you know there's nothing you can do about it.
Why does this place even have anything high than ONE star. This place is absolutely terrible Apparently this is my local post office so I have no choice but to come here. I hate this place everytime I go to pick up my packages. I've lost multiple packages because of them. They are so unprofessional its ridiculous. I wish there was a way to complain about the workers. They are so rude. Why have a job in customer service if you hate it so much. Dont even try calling them. You wont get put through. Dont waste your time even trying. I hate USPS. I dont get a choice when I order things. I recommend FedEx people.
I got a text alert saying my mail package was scanned at 5:57 pm. I went to check immediately after and it was not delivered. I called the post office emergency line to file a claim and try to track the carrier. I was put on hold and as soon as someone picked up, I was hung up on. The next day I called the post office during normal business hours. A lady answered and immediately put me on hold... 15 minutes later still no one on the line. I'm assuming my tickets were stolen as they were scanned for being delivered, but actually were not and no one seems to even pick up the phone. Horrible experience.
If you prepay for your packages online, NEVER drop off any of your packages without a receipt, no matter how long the line is (and it can get quite long at times because they don't have enough staff). Let's just say this post office has a tendency to lose packages and/or possibly steal them. I've dropped off a couple of packages over the months without getting a receipt and it's always come back to burn me because I can't file an insurance claim because it never hit their system. So again, please remember to grab the receipt, no matter long it takes!
I honestly could not find a worse place to have to go to for anything! There always is one really nice guy and one really nice girl at the front and the rest of the employees are as rude as you can imagine! Then somehow at 5pm they only have one person working at the front, when it is crazy busy. Other employees are always seen just talking in the back. Half the time they won't even deliver your package and make you come pick it up, the other half of the time they lose your packages. If i didn't have to come here, I would avoid it like the plague!
After I missed a delivery, they left a sticker with my name and address on my door. So I went to this USPS store with the sticker and my valid DL, but the officer told me I need to bring a bank statement letter with my name and address, so I have to go back home and wait in line for another half an hour. But according to what I read from their website, this bank letter only needed when people does not have the notice sticker. And the worse part about my experience is her attitude, I can feel how much she hates her job and her customers. Sad...
This is one of the worst post offices in the area - rude, long lines, workers standing, chatting, singing to the radio, eating - when a customer asked why the worker was not assisting he got a "I'm on break" reply. Then why are you distracting the workers who aren't on break? The worst post office however is at 2300 S. Wentworth; they open and close when they want - they do not follow the posted hours and actually bully and mock the Chinese community they serve. Too bad there is absolutely no oversight or response to the service.
The people here didn't deliever my package and didn't even leave a letter saying saything. Luckily, I tracked it. Called them to see what was going on. Put me on a 1 hour hold and when I got someone they were rude. I don't know how is this place still running. Deserves to be shut down. This is the 3rd time my package was not delievered and didn't leave anything to let me know. I highly doubt that they even ATTEMPTED to deliever my package. I will be complaning to the main headquarter for sure. They were really rude and useless.
If I could give them zero stars, I would without hesitation. The people who work here OBVIOUSLY hate their lives so they have to make everyone else's lives miserable as well. They are the RUDEST, LAZIEST, absolute most ghetto people I have ever met. Unfortunately, my mail goes to this post office when I am not available to sign so I have to deal with their idiotic antics way more than I should have to. Today they made me wait 20 mins for a form and I still didn't receive it. Everyone who works there should be fired.
I’m always happy with my help and service. Everyone there knows there job, and has answers for my questions. They also know that being yelled at and threatened won’t make things go faster, or change the answer to what you want to hear. So no, don’t expect the time of day if that’s your approach. The few times I’ve had a bad experience there, it was actually because of a customer. People need to learn patience and acceptance. It’s not always the employees who are the a-holes, sometimes it’s you. No one is perfect.
Do not call them unless you feel like sitting on hold for no reason... the next person picks up and throws you on hold again (never ending cycle... they are hoping you just hang up). Called them about four times and was on hold for at least twenty minutes every time and no one answered... Called at 2:30pm on a Saturday to track a lost package... Guess What??? thrown on hold only for a lady to pick up the phone at 3:05pm to tell me, "Sir, we closed at 3pm and there is no one left here." Absolute joke of a staff
Horrible ! Do not go to this post office. The mail is never delivered appropriately. The mail person who comes out never delivers it to the right person. I called to complain... manager never came to the phone. I called back and no one would answer. I went in person and dealt with an ignorant and unprofessional person. The mail issue was not resolved. So, I called their customer care line and spoke to a fool, who was just as incompetent. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE. ZERO stars should be the rating !!!!
***BE PREPARED TO WASTE YOUR TIME*** Typical afternoon/evening at the local 60616 USPS station smh. Long, extended lines with no sense of customer service and efficiency. Lost packages, mail carriers who don't even attempt to ring bells & would rather leave pink slips forcing a trip to this pathetic place. Good thing I have notifications set up since my carrier didn't even leave a notice! Groups of employees in the back having personal conversations while only one dude at the counter. Unbelievable.
Horrible service, Multiple accounts of attempted delivery and no actual delivery attempt. I know this because shortly after speaking with a manager my package magically arrived. The carriers are inept at their jobs and the service counter workers cannot do anything to fix it. Avoid this facility as much as possible. Only redeeming factor is our UPS delivery person actually does his job very well including coming to the door to deliver in our large apartment complex.
For the most part when the young gentleman (Troy I think his name is) works that front desk he's quick, very efficient and friendly. This is the only P.O. I go to now. Sometimes there are two of these gentlemen and they have great teamwork among them. If I remember correctly their name is Troy and Trenton. It's just really nice to have a pleasant experience at the P.O. and I noticed that they are like that with all the customers, at least when I've been there.
This office is so ghetto especially the operator or whomever answers the phone. I waited for over 10 mins to speak with a supervisor and still haven’t spoken with any one now they are not answering the phone They really needs improvement I have packages that never show but are marked as delivered. Even when I meet the mail man he say he doesn’t have any package but when I check my mail box I always receive a slip to redeliver. Pure laziness
I wish there was a score lower than one. The supervisor I spoke with was extremely rude and disrespectful. When I inquired as to why my package was never delivered she went on a rant about how USPS isn’t properly equipped and don’t have the tools to deliver heavy packages. 1 the package wasn’t heavy & 2. As unfortunate as that is, I have no control over that. If you have any choice at all, absolutely do not engage with this business.
The absolute worst experience I have had with a post office. Tracking often says "notice left" or "delivered" and the package comes days later or not at all. Calling the manager does little as they just "look for your package and I'll call you back" send off. What's the point of getting priority mail when they never deliver on time? The usps should investigate this office. Shame on them for such a downright abhorrent location.
NEVER GO TO THIS ONE AGAIN. I prefer I can give negative star on the service for this store, 2017NOV20 5:30pm, the stuff was so rude and over picky. The stuff refusing offer a proper service and direction, just keep asking people go away. I saw a women was refused by this stuff for the reason she was not in the right queue, but she kept waiting for a long time. So shame that USPS hiring this kind of unqualified employee.
Had a very pleasant experience. Remember that the Congress, and by that I mean republicans, have long sought to privatize this service. But due to that tricky document, the U.S. Constitution, specifically, "Section 8: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;" they can't. As republications have the Constitution printed on their underwear, they de-fund it to the point of customer up roar. They are achieving that aim.
I called today to simply ask about a package I dropped off. It's been almost 2 days and there has been no update on the tracking. The woman on the phone was rude from the start. She first stated my tracking number wasn't real and she then started to berate me over the phone for simply asking the possibility of it being lost. This place is a JOKE. The service is always terrible. Never taking my business here again.
I have went here multiple times and have been treated with disrespect repeatedly. Called to talk to the supervisor to make a complaint but was quickly and rudely interrupted by the disgruntled employee I interacted with earlier that day since I was on speaker phone at the post office. It baffles me that I cannot even call to make a valid complaint without being harassed by the people who work at this post office.
Just plain bad, dealt with a Ms.Murray could not/would not find my certified mail letter. After waiting 25 minutes, asked to speak with a supervisor and she played it off like she didn't hear me Filed a complaint with USPS customer service. ps - the inspector general should look into why postal employees are parked in customer spaces. Their little postal employee tags were hanging in their car windows
wanted to ship out a package with an ebay label ready, the man in charge told me and reinsure that they couldnt send the package out because it was missing a label while code bar was in the label, of course i spent 30 minutes, so i went to another location, it took me a minute to deliver the package!! because the label had a code bar!! they need training and self-esteem classes, im sorry for them
I've been waiting for a week to get packages delivered to my house. So that's a week of not leaving my house even for a minute, three calls to the 1-800 number, three filed complaints, a complaint to the post master general, and three large signs on my door...and still nothing. No missed delivery slips, no actual attempts to deliver, and no one actually doing their job. This is ridiculous.
Went there this morning and got excellent service. Was greeted by a person at the door and got guidance on what type of box to use for the things I needed to send. Then I waited in line until the cashier was available (only took a few minutes) and again was met with a smile and excellent service. I don’t understand why this place is so poorly rated. My experience was very positive.
Worst post office in the world. Staff is very rude and unhelpful. They all seem like they are there to collect a paycheck and just ready to get their day over. They do not care about helping you or your business. If I could, I wouldn't even give this post office one star. Will never go here again. I would rather walk 10 miles to a different post office than 3 blocks to this place
The staff told me to leave prepaid packages at the counter and I did. I didnt get a receipt because there was a long line. I never had this problem with other location post office. But my packages just disappeared after that. No one has any information about it. It seems like dropped off packages without a receipt often disappears at this location. Terrible experience.
One of the worst place to get your things done. They never let you know where they left your parcel and the time we go to collect the parcel they let us know that it is left in mail room of our building. I wonder how much time and efforts it takes to write “The parcel is left in Mail Room” on Sorry We Missed you receipt. The rating clearly signifies the ignorant staff.
Had gone to collect my roommate's package and was carrying his State ID with me. They refused to hand over the package to me initially. Only when i told them that i've picked up my friends packages several times did they relent and handed over the package to me. So why all this show off of rules initially when they could have just checked the ID and got done with it!
Deserves 0 stars. I don't understand how career postal employees who make great money & get even better benefits can always be so unhappy and discontent with dealing with their customers who tax dollars pays their wages...the customers who's business pays their wages. I think they forget customers come first. So unprofessional and the station is grossly understaffed
Very rude and very unhelpful. When asked a question, they yell at you especially those driving the carriers. Doesnt bother to care, just answers questions with generic answers. Left with figuring out now to get refund back from company where I bought my shoes. Now, I will use other delivery services and never here again even if I have to pay 10x more to get my item.
This is by far the worst post office I have ever stepped foot into. Not only is the staff horribly rude, but it took me almost an hour to simply ship an envelope (the line was only 4 customers long). If I could I would give this location zero stars. Hopefully USPS will begin reading these reviews and realize they need to do a major overhaul of this office.
Long lines, unprofessional, rude to customers, undelivered packages. Tracking number says package delivered but its not. If you never received your package dont just claim insurance call HQ and report it stolen and tell them about customer service. They dont accept your photo ID w/ difference address. Im from out of state ridiculous!!. Dont bother calling
Horrible service, horrible place... they are in here dancing, playing loud rap music and cursing... Extremely racist usps, dont be surprised if you hear racist terms here as the staff uses them... supervisor as of 9/1/18 is the worst.. Please file complaints, only way to get this USPS fixed.. I have filed a complaint with the inspector general of USPS...
Honestly the best usps I’ve ever been to which I know isn’t saying much 1) they were super fast and efficient moving people through the line 2) the people working were actually friendly and helpful, even cracking jokes 3) I didn’t know about a certain rule they have in place but the lady was super helpful and accommodating and helped process my order
This post office is absolutely terrible I feel sorry for the people that have no other choice but to come here. Long lines, rude employees. Well there is this one guy, black, kinda has a fro that's works there who's very nice but the the women especially the light old woman that wears the ugly glasses she is very rude and nasty and unprofessional.
This post office is rude and ghetto two tellers sat on their behind and took their time to call me to the desk where I was the only customer there. Then both of them are rude. The older lady been there too long to be acting like that. And the newer dark one is way worse. The lady with the fro is always a sweetheart and the gentleman in the back.
Never received any packages always spend more than 30 min to receive a package that should have been delivered talk to manager and the packages was supposed to be in my mailbox so now I have to find a different address to get my son medical supplies sent toooo the worst experience that I've ever experienced with any post office in Chicago
The overarching concept here seems to be rather minimal. Worker commitment to service, with a couple notable exceptions, is nil. There seems to be plenty of goofing off and movin' slow. Nothing is done with a sense of urgency or patrons' time. One counter woman has fake nails so long as to interfere with pressing keys or handling papers.
This place is the worst post office in the world. Literally. Delivery of packages is poor - most likely they are stealing items. Customer service is something that they never ever heard, people are very rude and aggressive. If you have chance to avoid this place and pay extra do it, you will save your time, money and millions of nerves
For over 20 years I have been forced to use this post office. They are always slow with no one at the counter. You will always spend at least 15 minutes minimum no matter what type of transaction you’re conducting. The postal workers don’t care about providing great customer service because they know they won’t be held accountable.
Look... no one likes going to the post office. I absolutely DREAD it especially because I was expecting my package to deliver to my apartment. However, my experience wasn’t horrible! I was actually really surprised by helpful and quick the service was. While I don’t wish to go back... I won’t be as dreadful as I normally would be
Very rude!!! The lady was yelling at me over the phone today when I called about a tracking my package who's been traveling for over a week in between the local post offices, but never made it to my home. Awful customer service!!! The employee there should learn how to talk with respect to other people, instead of yelling at them
Woman has AirPods on.. on her phone.. lashes so thick she can’t see that she has a line of customers waiting. When I said “excuse me” she pointed and said line start there and continued on her phone.. she wasn’t even with a customer.. and then when she got my package she threw it in a container.. absolutely terrible service.
The absolute pits, ALWAYS a massive line with two windows open. Slow isn't the word. I've had two packages listed as delivered, one of which came AFTER the delivery date listed, the other is among the missing. I called and was told to call back in the morning. Great help. Use another location, they are BAD NEWS!!!!
I called for an undelivered package. A lady answered my call and hold my phone for long time. She did nothing for me and only told me that I need to go to the location to file a claim. But today I go there, another rude lady told me that I need to file a claim online!! That's ridiculous! They just waste my time!!
This place is horrible! The female staff members are so rude to the customers the only nice person there who actually helps the customers is the tall darkskin guy the other heavy set guy is rude along with the rest of the female staff. This post office needs a set of workers ASAP before it runs out of business .
I waited over an hour for my package only to be told they couldn’t find it and would call me when they did. The staff was not helpful at all seemed to not care that people were waiting for over an hour only to be told they had to come back when they found their packages. Worst post office I have ever been to.
Smooth process with clear guidelines for social distancing. There was a packed line with only one frontdesk staff on site. Cottrelle was a real professional - greeted everyone nicely and kept the line moving. Other reviews are too harsh after one bad encounter, while not respecting USPS as a whole. Good site
Update : they arent now even leaving any notification and have returned my licence to dmv twice. Worst service ever received. The delivery guy just drops a message saying he missed us and i need to pick packet from usps. The delivery person never calls at the phone number to come downstairs to pick packet.
I'd like to give them a zero if I could. They show no respect to customers, talking about customer right in front of them. And never make anything clear, you have to come back home several time to get what they need. All of them are moving slowly, they don't give a damn if there is a line with 20 people.
This guys just dont care. If anyone waiting for some important documents, consider using UPS or FedEx, as this guys will lose it or steal it. CROOKS! More over they put status Delivered, so technically speaking you cannot claim insurance as it was "delivered". The worst post office in the world!!!!
1 employee was on duty sending packages and did it veeeeeryy veeeery sloooowly and extremely rude. Took 40 minutes just to send a small package. In the end instead of 2 day delivery to the suburb, my package went to another state for sorting. So Apr, 30 - accepted. May, 10 - delivered. Fantastic!
TERRIBLE customer service. I waited 30min in line before having to just leave. One person at the desk helping customers, and other people visibly lazing about chatting in the back. No work ethic, no customer service, and no way to get in touch with anyone for help. Stay away from this location!
This post office location has the most useless employees. I've been trying to track down my forwarded mail since October. With the exception of a few, a majority of the staff are rude, combative and downright unhelpful. There needs to be a clean sweep of this branch. Beyond trifling.
The worst USPS I have been to. My package has to be delivered one week ago and still I didn't receive the package even after one week. I called the customer care and asked them to redeliver, but I haven't got the package yet. I don't know why Amazon processes packages through USPS.
Worst delivery service. Never comes to the apartment. Just checks the space to in the mail box. If the parcel is good enough to fit then they put in the mail box, else just puts the receipt for the re delivery. Put 5-10 complaints in the USPS customer service, but nothing changed.
I tried to purchase a stamp book and post an International letter. I only carried a credit card as I did not want to walk around with a hand bag. The clerk asked for an ID. I said I didn't bring one. She snatched the stamps away and just glared at me. So rude and unprofessional.
i wish i could give this zero stars. Worst service ever. They never deliver packages properly. Have to fight with them and ask them plenty of times to get package. Sick of them. So many undelivered packages reported from them. I am gonna guess they are stealing packages.
Very very rude staff, asked me to get a piece of tape only because she wanted to charge me. How is it possible that there is no tape in the office. My sender had just asked me to give the package and not asked to seal anything. Super rude trying to exploit customers.
I think they should get 0 start.I arranged two times redelivery and no one sent the package.I ask them why and they can not explain. So my package was return to the sender.I had to pay the post fee.I am very angery. The sevice is so terrible. I want to complaint.
Just check my shipment summary. It said I refused my package yesterday. Ridiculous. How can they lie!! They didn't even show up at my door!! Now my package is sending back to sender without even doing 3 attempts. No wonder they got low rating. Service sucks!!!
Careful with this place, the employees are Rude & staff (TROY) LIKES TO CHALLENGE PEOPLE OUTSIDE TO FIGHTS BECAUSE HE HATES HIS JOB. Strongly advise not going in this place alone, it's dangerous, and they like to call the police and lie on YOU. THE CUSTOMER.
You'll never wait in line any less then 15 minutes at this location. Was just in and with a line of 12 customers an employee decided he needed to break for lunch. No one replaced him for 10 minutes so only one line was open for everyone needing assistance.
I scheduled pick up in store. But when I get there they even didn’t try to help me with the package only let me write down the information. They told me their supervisor will call me. I wait for two days no reply. I really don’t know where is my package???
The worst postal service and facility ever, they lost 3 of my packages, sending from person to person, dropping calls, rude, i just have no words how mad i am. cant believe that place like this can have such a crapy service, this place should be shut down
I was dropped off two package, then they are gone, no any tracking information, I tried to call the service, but just gone , just like I had never been to the USPS station! Wow!so when you mail something, you better get a receipt ! No kidding here!!!
My personal experience is typically good, but the dedicated parking - big problem. This may not be employee’s fault, but all customer “10 minute limit” spots are typically taken by what seems like employee vehicles (usps tag displayed on mirrors).
I’m shocked by all the bad reviews. I’ve had to come here often lately as I’m selling some things on Poshmark and every time it’s quick and kind service. I’ve interacted with several employees and they’re all nice and professional. No complaints.
Cece (guessing at spelling here, sorry!) was SO NICE to our child. She patiently showed him all the stamps they had and answered all his questions. Other staff were also kind and joked with him and clearly had good rapport with regular clients.
Just because you can get a quote on the USPS website to ship an item doesn’t mean this location will ship it. They said the item was ‘too long’ even though it’s well under the shipping limit. Pretty standard ‘we can’t do that’ USPS attitude.
This post office has the rudest clerk I have encountered. This lady makes you feel stupid every time. She mocks you or stays on a personal phone call through your entire transaction. I never post reviews but she should not have her job!
Worst USPS ever. Also, the delivery lady always leaves a note that she cannot enter the property to deliver while sitting right inside my apartment's lobby instead of getting her lazy ass delivering the package to mailroom or our doors.
They always say that they can't do cash transactions. I've been told on three different occasions that they didn't have cash to cash a 100 dollar postal money order and I can only purchase money orders by using credit or debit card.
Everyone there needs to be fired. They're lazy and just want to argue with you. Everytime I order a package it says they attempted but there is no notice left on my door. They take forever to answer phones. You have a job so do it.
I called up to this center and asked for their help with my Package that was misplaced and the representative was very disrespectful. Was not at all ready to hear properly what my queries were and straight away hung up the phone .
bought items from Amazon, never deliver to my apartment but leaving a notice instead, the worst service! then I went to the office, it always takes half an hour to look for my package, wasting time, low efficiency, bad attitude!
