It’s a hidden post office in the basement of a beautiful office building on the corner of 4th and Madison in the Safeco Plaza at 1001 fourth Ave . Head in and take the escalators all the way to the bottom and go straight towards a fitness sign on the wall and find this little shoebox of a post office tucked away. Or enter off third 3rd to access the building and get to the post office on the ground floor. Look for the address in the window 1001 fourth Ave and your almost there
I wanted to ship a package to Germany, and the package got returned stating "duplicate barcode label ID, apply new Customs Declaration form with valid barcode ID". I was expecting that a post office would know how to mail a package correctly. I assumed wrong. They also horribly botched my address on the printed label, so it was good I'd written my address elsewhere on the package or I'd of never known where it'd gone.
SUPER FAST! I was looking to ship 10 packages for the holiday and went to this location on my lunch. Despite my large order and 10 + people in line, I was in and out within 15 minutes. There was even a shift change during my wait. Considering there was only one cashier available, I was very impressed with the efficiency of this location. I will definitely be popping in here for all of my post office needs.
Generally this is a nice little post office without the huge line. But, because there's only one person who runs the counter, it's closed for about an hour around 2:00 o'clock. The problem is, they don't stick to the schedule. Sometimes it's closed 10 minutes early sometimes 30 minutes if they have a longer line, to ensure the guy gets his break. So, if you're just there to drop off mail, go before 1 pm.
I love this location! It’s tiny and hidden in a back hallway, and so there’s never a line. Everyone who works there is always nice and helpful, plus they actually have packing tape you can use. Best way to find it is enter the building from 3rd avenue, then walk all the left (north) all the way to the end. It’s just before the gym on your right.
I chose this post office because of all the positive reviews and made sure to arrive with time to spare before the advertised 2pm lunch break. Arrived at 1:50pm with my Express Mail in hand, and the office was already closed. Note on door says they may close as early as 1:30. If they close at 1:30, they should be honest about it!
The low ratings made me cautious but this is my go-to USPS location in Seattle. The lady is very nice and my packages/letters always arrive on time, sometimes even earlier. To get inside of the post office, you have to go left when you enter. If you see the gym, just keep walking till you see the post office sign.
Super nice lady and very nice location, especially compared to the other one in downtown that even feels a bit unsafe, this one is kind of hidden an office building. It took me a moment to find it, it is next to the fitness club on the 3rd avenue lobby.
Nice little office and not very busy. A little hard to find (it's at the very bottom floor near gyms. If entering the plaza from 4th Ave, need to take a bunch of elevators down). The guy working here is very helpful!
The USPS staff is really nice. Although my postcard was just sent out yesterday, I am not sure if the postcard will arrive successfully, but I will give recognition to the lady. :)
The staff is so rude and not helpful at all. They never truly answer your question. We have to repeat our question several times to got the answer without any respect.
It has been temporarily closed (for 2 months according to the security guard of the building) and is not reflected on Google maps nor USPS website.
I sent my package here and now it's lost because this post office is CLOSED. Is there any way to retrieve my package. Where was it sent to???
Enter from 3. Go to the back left corner, kind of under the escalators. The post office is at the end of the hall. Almost no lines!
On the bottom floor, down a small hallway by the fitness center. It’s a post office, that’s the level of service you can expect.
I love this little place. Not too many people know about it. Lets keep it that way.. Otherwise lines will be too long LLOOLL
This post office ALWAYS scans my packages 14-24 hours after I drop them off, sometimes later. If they are scanned at all.
It’s not busy which is good, but the receptionist man was so rude I will never go back again.
Impossible to get into. Don't put a public post office on a place the public can't get to.
A little hard to find. easier to enter on 3 rd then on 4 th. It's on the ground floor
A little hard to find but super efficient location and short lines.
Worse worse worseeee company They always lose my packages
