Can you click less then one star? This US Post Office exemplifies everything that is wrong with this part of the federal government. Its not like I had high expectations going in but wow it sure hit the mark. Hours: AHHH get it together. The times posted for the lobby and the service counter are different... Walking by you might think you can go in but not until you get to next set of doors you find out oh... they take their lunch now... wish I didn't walk 3 blocks planning on going at this time (as it wasn't posted on exterior). Lighting: I'm not looking for museum quality lighting to highlight dusty boxes but can ANY of the lights not flicker... I'm getting a seizure being in here. Stamps: Wish this location had a self service machine in lobby... but that's okay I'll wait in a long line just to be the number 2 person for the one and only worker to then scream "oh, just so you know we only have Elvis Stamps" oh that's odd but I don't care who is on the cover... so then I get there to find they only have BOOKS of this specialty stamp... as I hold a lone dollar bill in my hand. Yep, you can't buy a single stamp at this post office today. Perfect. Venting done... I'd avoid this place as its dirty, not well serviced and doesn't offer any self-service options.
Came to this place three times for package and mails and got NOTHING. First time a lady in a wheelchair cut right in line and I got the curtain shut right in front of my face. Second time I came, a clerk went looking for 1 minute and told me she got nothing, even though the package has been clearly delivered a few days to this place. Straight up ignoring us and called next. The clerk that closed the curtain right on my face told me they are open on Saturday until 12:30. I was skeptical about it but desperately enough to try. Of course, it was very closed. Could clear hear someone was in the office. Unsurprisingly ignored my call. Don’t understand why they have to be rude and untruthful. At this point the staffs r not just unprofessional, they are just sadistic.
I have mixed feelings about this USPS. On the one hand, the one 40 -something woman working behind the counter is friendly, generous, and informative. On the other hand, they NEVER answer their phone, the hours are listed online incorrectly, it's located in a bit of a sketchy area, and they come back later than their 1-2pm break. After walking there, I had to deduce that a Dec. 14 closed notice was still in effect (today Dec 20, 2021) so I had to walk to the next location 12 minutes away, another 30 minutes total when walking back to my location.
I came into this post office today, March 1, 2021. I was mailing a parcel across country priority mail. The postmaster (Nicole Ortloff) was extremely helpful in her suggestion to use a different box, saving me five dollars. She went above and beyond, going into the back to get me a flat rate box, and putting my box into it, and re-fixing my label. This is the kind of congenial service I love from my hometown post office. Thanks, Nicole!
Hours are useless for working individuals. Now they are closing even earlier at 4 pm which is very inconvenient for people who work. I specifically moved to a PO box because my apts close early and now the PO box is causing the same issue. There needs to be a change in days the PO box is open and hours. The inner door can be locked like other USPS locations, this would allow PO box users to obtain their mail.
Arrived to the post office at 4:55 because I busted my way over here after work and made it on time. The clerk was assisting someone for SEVEN MINUTES until it because 5:02. He then closed the curtain on me and told me I should’ve gotten here earlier and to come back on Monday. I had essential mail to send out that only would’ve taken a minute or two to mail out. Ruining my day… thanks a lot :(
Office attendant is very very nice, but the place needs more staff. The open hours are impossible if you work during the week and can't get there at lunch. Most people work much earlier than 9am and past 4pm, and sometimes this location closes even earlier than that. USPS please give your staff adequate support to have regular hours!
delivery staff FALSELY mark tracking as "SIGNED BY ..(recipient)" and then drop off the item in mail box. Isn't this ILLEGAL? The USPS staff completely INVALIDATES the insurance associated with the package and puts the recipient unjustly responsible for the potential loss of the item. FIRE THIS STAFF
Of the many times I stop by in the hopes of purchasing stamps or shipping out a package, the store has been closed despite it being during hours of operation. It is severely understaffed and the one time I was able to talk to an employee inside, it was difficult to have my questions answered.
FIRST OFF. MISS LAMORIA,... this shout out is for you girl This lovely young lady was so sweet and so patient with me. Thanks for loaning me a pen, answering all my questions, and laughing at my cheezie jokes.(even when it was so close to closing time.) ❤️✌️ …
I went to get a PO box. The lady told me that she didn't have time to help me with that; and to go home, print out the forms, fill them out and bring them back. Yeah right. The UPS store is barely a block away, and they actually want to help me.
This is one of the worst post office locations I have ever been too. The staff is somewhat friendly, but the hour are no convenient and they are always understaffed. Not to mention it always has a dirty and disorganized appearance.
Mailing christmas gifts at lunch time? Try a different PO. This one had one clerk, a very long line, and it took 10 minutes to get through one customer with 4 packages (insured). Line was about 15 customer long when I left.
Get ready to *roll the dice* at this location. If you're one of the poor sops that lives or works nearby, just bust your buns up to the St. James branch instead. Sometimes great! ...when they're open and in a good mood.
Closed from 1-2. Even if you waited in line for 15 minutes, if the line does not move fast enough to get to the clerk before 1, you have to wait until 2! Understaffed in a highly populated area.
Went at 12 pm. Doors locked and no one to be found. No signs saying they were closed. Posted hours weren’t observed. Turns out they were closed for Columbus Day but no prominent signs posted.
Try to not go here, instead go to postal annex, on the next block. The lady on the counter is always so rude and rushes you, and this store's hours are so limited. Support the USPS.
My parcel was never delivered by the postman, and I left them a note and they never responded. I also tried calling and no one picked up the telephone. Terrible service all around.
i cannot believe. they don't have mind to help people. i have a few mistake on my sheat of package, then the clerk got angry and she really didn't do any support. super selfish.
I came by the post office at 10:30am. The young man at the counter process my mail very quickly. I asked him about other service and he guided me through thoroughly.
Charged less than $20 for a service State convention center's UPS store tried to charge me $44 for. Impeccable customer service. Short wait in line, accessible.
No one is even here half the time, they tell you to go to another post office. As someone who doesn't drive its so inconvenient. Hire more people!
I opened up a PO box this morning, and the clerk was very friendly and helpful. It was around 9 am and was quiet. Perhaps it helps to go early.
One of the best USPS staffs I 've ever met. He's patient to answer all my questions and the place is organized and clean.
The man who works here is SO NICE. It’s a busy location especially at closing, he goes out of his way to help people.
The hours are bad, and fairly often you won't be able to access the box lobby when the store says it will be open.
Limited hours of operation 9 AM - 4 PM and closed 1 PM - 2 PM. Do you run a business like that... closed midday?
This place is frequently closed during normal hours. I’ve seen this sign 4 times in the past few weeks.
USPS is ok at many locations but this one is understaffed and no self service. Expect a long wait.
I only dropped off my package twice at this store. Both of them are lost eventually.
Heard horrible reviews about this store but both of my couriers reached on time.
Visited on October 28 at 10 am. Door was locked and nobody was there.
Arrived 3:40 on a Friday and they were closed, lobby and all
Good service, clean and not cluttered. Accessible Good price
Very rude woman. Doesn't seem to like people or her job
"Can't do postcards to Europe." That's what he said ...
Closed during open hours, no signage regarding close.
Can't this place just open a little bit longer?
Excellent service and friendly staffing .
They close way earlier than they say
always gotten great service here.
The attendant is very helpful
