From our initial consult, to a thorough tour of all the available wood species, choosing our cuts, customizing our selected table legs and getting our table delivered - it was a breeze! We actually had to push back our delivery date because we were having renos done and I didn't want this table near any renos whatsoever (it's too precious to get paint or Reno dings on!) Melissa was so accommodating and stored it at their showroom for us until our renos were done. The delivery people were also really friendly and very helpful (they help move and assemble the table for us). We've had our dining table for about 6 months now and it's held up well (aside from the superficial scratches from usage, to be expected) the piece is solid and the urethane finish is holding up well! I do wish some of the smaller divots in the wood were epoxy-filled, but it's a non-issue Would highly recommend purchasing a customized piece from Urban Tree Salvage!

We got referred to Melissa through my brother who had a custom live edge table made by UTS a few years ago. We always wanted a live edge dinning table for ourselves. We opted for an ash table with spalting. Melissa was wonderful to work with and she helped us select the perfect piece of wood for our custom creation. When we received the finished product, we were so happy with it. It looked even more beautiful then we could have imagined. The table is absolutely stunning and I can't wait to enjoy it for years to come! If you are debating about getting a custom table versus buying a live edge table in store, I would highly recommend the custom route. Many mass produced live edge tables are not a solid piece and have visible connecting joints, which will impact the look and feel in your space. I will use UTS in the future for more custom products!

We wanted to hang some large, rugged barn board shelves in our new home and had no idea how to source the wood. Luckily I had bookmarked Urban Tree Salvage years ago, so I reached out. Melissa was fantastic at providing me with options, quotes and information while we chatted back and forth through email. She custom made us two 6’ threshing board shelves that look absolutely fantastic up on our walls. Exactly the vision that we were trying to achieve! The prices aren’t cheap but also not astronomical and the quality of both their product and their service speaks for itself.

Melissa was terrific. We told her we wanted a dining table for 6 people and she showed us the pieces of wood available and the options for stands, the height and width. We were given a 6 week turnaround and they had it done on time. The table was gorgeous and it was easy to install the legs with the pre-drilled holes. We love our dining table. The showroom experience that Melissa provided us was fantastic. She walked us through every detail from picking a slab (and helping to understand what makes each one unique and beautiful), its finish, to choosing a base and an overall size that would work for our semi detached East York home - she did it all. Communication during production was great and delivery and install was A1. If we have more pieces, we know where we're going!
