The nurses get 5 stars!!! they were great but my overal experience would be 0 honestly. Money hungry in my opinion and they move so fast before you can realize you just got hustled. My adopted dog had kennel cough. had a free initial health visit so i came here since i brought my last pet. I explained his condition and the meds hes already on and that the signs have already degressed. he coughed up some spit while there because he was pulling on the leash pretty hard but hadnt coughed, vomited, or spit up for days before then. They gave him a treatment, prescribed cough pills, and a shot for the vomiting. gave him his first month of heartworm prevention and said that was free. Then said were going to schedule a follow up appointment next week for him to get his boosters which will all be free unless he needs more meds for the kennel cough. After they administered everything, and i repeat AFTER, i was told to proceed to the cashier to pay. and i said pay what...vet said for everything we just did. It got akward when i said i have to pay? you didnt say that. she immediately turned to the nurses and asked if they already administered the treatments and shots. they said yes so i was told i must pay before i leave. I paid about 160 for meds he didnt really need because he was already taking a strong antibiotic that actually was working. I was then told moving forward, ANY expenses will be given to me UPFRONT. i was interested in enrolling in a welness plan with them but wasnt given any further explanation, costs no nothing. i guess they wanted me to pay for another visit. I called to confirm the next apt for the follow up and they assured that the fee was 65 for the appointment, and i would be fully responsible for any boosters. im not mad but i do business upfront and despise people who try to take advantage. i should have cought it sooner but fool me twice shame on me. I have cancelled my appointment and have already chosen a new primary vet, who enrolled me into a welnessplan after explaining all of my options and expenses UPFRONT.

This is a nice vet's office if you are willing to seriously overpay for their services. The staff is very friendly and they obviously care a lot about animals. When my cat gets scared and potties in her cage, they will wash her and the cage for me. They always answer all of my questions and do their best to keep my kitties calm and comfortable during appointments. The problem is that they add unnecessary procedures without asking and rack up a huge bill for what should be a simple appointment. For example, I have a young and healthy cat who developed a small rash on her chest. She has had this same rash twice before in the same place and they did a bunch of tests, gave me some meds, and it went away. All I wanted was to get a refill of the same meds, since they have already done all of the tests before and it is in her medical history. The vet ended up swabbing her ears (without asking), looking at that under a microscope (without asking), checking the scab, looking at that under a microscope (same thing they did last visit), giving her a rabies shot (I agreed to this), and adding flea medication to the bill. Oh, and prescribing me the same medication as before and a diagnosis of "We don't know what's causing this..." At the end of the visit, the bill was more than $450 and I still don't even know what's causing this rash... I have brought both of my cats here, and this has not been my first experience where they have gone off and done a lot of procedures I didn't ask for, leaving me with a massive bill. Needless to say, this is the final straw and I will not be visiting this vet again, which is unfortunate because I really love the doctors here. Just can't afford these ridiculous prices with no helpful diagnosis.

So the first time I visited this place (this is my second time) I had doctor Anderson and she was incredibly helpful and kind—which is the only reason this review is getting two stars instead of one. I came back for a second visit and Dr. Krohne was my dogs doctor and she was incredibly rude and patronizing and her assistant wasn’t much better either. I told her assistant if it was at no charge, can the doctor measure something on my dog and she replied back to me, “yes”. Then when it comes time to go , the doctor tries to charge me for an “exam” !! I don’t have a problem paying what’s due, but I specifically said that I only wanted the measurement if it didn’t cost extra ! Then the assistant tried denying that I ever said that, and I don’t appreciate her trying to make Me out to be a liar. Then when I voiced my concerns about being charged for an exam my dog already had three weeks prior, Dr. Krohne seemed like she didn’t care and tried to make it seem like I was just trying to get something for free, which is NEVER the case! Like I said, I don’t mind paying for any fees , but don’t try to just charge me for something without telling me the price first and especially when I very CLEARLY expressed earlier not to do it if it had any extra cost! These people try to charge you extra without telling you all the details and pricing first and on top of that, Dr. Krohne made my dog bleed when cutting her nails, and didn’t even know it until her assistant said something! she made it an incredibly painful experience for my dog. I am seriously reconsidering having them as my dog’s vet, and if I do decide to stay with them I do NOT want Dr. Krohne anywhere near my dog I would very much prefer Dr. Anderson.

Had the best experience when I brought lil Honey Butter Biscuit to this place yesterday after a traumatic attack at the dog park. I was able to get right in to an appointment since they happened to have a cancellation that day, and then we only had to wait maybe ten min once we got there (her injuries weren't urgent). Because of COVID, the vet tech came right out to my car to pick up my pup and take her in, which made me nervous since I couldn't be with her, but I was put to ease when almost a minute later Dr Clifton called me to ask me some questions and told me she was going to do a full exam. She then called me a few minutes later again and thoroughly talked through what she saw. She ended up shaving some fur and washing out the wound, and (thankfully) Honey didn't need stitches. She also did a thorough analysis of Honey's past records and made sure she was good food and preventatives - sending us home with free food samples and a free monthly preventative. The whole visit ended costing $120 which I was thrilled by because I was mentally preparing myself to have to spend thousands just because this is a "hospital." They also followed up today to make sure she was doing ok! We don't live in Atlanta, but if we did, we'd make Dr Clifton our regular vet because she was so so so nice and the prices here were incredibly reasonable. 10/10. Highly recommend. Go see them today!

I would highly suggest to anyone who thinks about doing anything other than regular check ins here to ask other places for prices. I've been bringing my pups here for few years. VCA is on the expensive side which I was fine with but I draw the line at the attitude and blatant rip off. Scheduled dental cleanings few months ago and asked for a general estimate. I was told about $500. Consistent with what I paid in the past at other places. Came in for a check in before the dental appointment. Long story short without too many details, the technician stated that my appointment will be $600 after they applied a discount. Otherwise, it's about 1.3k. After a shock, I asked if that's for today and the dental, the answer was no, dental will be another $700-900 (over 1.3k with the "deal" or over 2.6k without). That's just for one dog. I scheduled for multiple. The tech was visibly agitated with my pricing questions. When I asked for a break down, my request was met with eye rolls and annoyed posture and voice. Obviously, I canceled. I don't appreciate the attempt of ripping me off and being rudely talked down to. I called a different vet and asked for a breakdown. No surprise, $500+, plus regular blood panel less that $200. Shall I say more?

I have been going to VCA for almost one two years. Onyx LOVES going to the vet and we LOVE the staff. The medical care is fantastic and they are super professional. They have talked me off the ledge several times because I am a crazy pet owner! I highly recommend enrolling in the VCA Club Care because it truly saves you a TON of money, without it, it will cost you big time. You can read the reviews all day long about cost and blah blah blah. All vets are expensive just like doctors for humans. If you want the BEST vet care in ATL, choose VCA. We love knowing that we can go to any VCA and get the same care. Onyx was in horrendous shape when we adopted him and Dr. Anderson prepared me very well and spent 6 months seeing me multiple times making sure Onyx was healthy. They also prepared me for his heart worm treatment as well!! I’m just so thankful for them and highly recommend this practice. PS. AMANDA, KEVIN, SUE, and my bff Mrs. Beth, y’all truly work your tails off and it shows. You each give wonderful customer service and it shows how much you care. I will always be thankful for all of the countless phone calls with me

I think it’s time for us to find another vet. There is no amount of money we wouldn’t pay to take care of our dogs. That said just this year we’ve spent ~3k on our old dog and 1k on our 1 year old and in EVERY SINGLE INSTANCE regardless of the symptoms the answers we got were something like, “Well it could be this, it could be that we really can’t tell. Just take them home and let us know if it continues. Then we’ll run more tests. We’ve never once gotten a straight answer out of these people. Everyone at VCA Buckhead is very nice. Everyone is very kind. They seem to really love animals. If you have a really healthy dog and just want to check in once a year, this is the vet for you. Normal checkups are in / out no problem. On the other hand if you have anything wrong with your dog save yourself the time and $$. I am qualified to give you the same answer that VCA will. “Yeah we see a little something here. Not sure what it is. It could be this. It could be that. If you think it will give you piece of mind we can run another $700 test and then tell you the same thing tomorrow.”

I initially took my dog in for a suspected ear infection and decided on this option as I can walk to the office from my house. Dr. Jen was great and quickly confirmed my suspensions. Later that day, my dog started to experience diarrhea; therefore I took him right back in just for them to spend a few minutes with him saying it was stress related. After suggesting a $200 care plan and 3 minute consultation, I was not pleased on visit number 2. Perhaps my standards are high, as I myself work in healthcare and my prior vet in Peachtree City takes more time and is more cost effective. Two days following, a text message is received to check on my dog. I replied that he did not improve and his diarrhea had progressed; however, there was no response. Thankfully, I was able to make a trip back to his original vet in Peachtree City who quickly diagnosed the problem, the care plan was half of the cost, AND they followed up with a call the night after. In other words, this place isn't terrible, but there are much more cost effective options that have higher standards of care.

I came here after burning a bridge with Banfield. Honestly, they were much better than I expected. Extremely friendly office staff who actually remember you and your pet, vets that are patient and answer all questions to the best of their ability, they speak in terms the average person can understand, and are pretty upfront about pricing. When my kitten had really bad eye boogers because of an underlying condition, the vet was so sweet and caring. She recommended three prescriptions, but also said I could get away with just two of them since they were all a bit pricey. He looked 90% better in two days. I always get a follow-up text about my pet, which is a little awkward, but I appreciate them reaching out. They make it super easy to cancel/reschedule appointments. When I called to cancel my cat’s pet plan, no one tried to convince to keep it. I was off of auto-renew in less than 60 seconds. I’m really grateful that, even though this is a corporate entity, they put in the effort to make you feel valued and your pet cared for. It really goes a long way.

Since conversion to VCA has been nothing but unnecessary and unauthorized procedures. When my dog pulled a muscle in her leg leaping from the car a few months ago, I took here to VCA for X-ray to be sure nothing too serious as she was limping. Vet asked for my verbal OK to do a couple X-rays, and that was expected, so of course, I agreed. But they returned with not 2 but 4 pictures. In one they shot an X-ray of both front legs (despite nothing wrong with the other leg at all) and then did an X-ray of the good leg only (because as they explained to me, they needed to see what a good X-ray looked like for comparison). Two rational explanations: Perhaps the staff is incompetent because they don't know what a clean x-ray looks like for a dog. Perhaps it's just VCA "best practices" to pad my bill by at least 35%. Conclusion: Used to be a great place. Tolerated a few silly billing items after the VCA conversion, but they lost me as customer permanently with this stunt.

We adopted a cat from Atlanta Humane Society and came to VCA because the first visit was free and it was closest to our house, and could not be happier. Our cat was extremely unhealthy from his time at the shelter (five different types of parasites and a respiratory infection) and every person we have come across at VCA is friendly, professional and helpful. The vet techs remember him and get excited to see him when he comes in, and all the vets we have seen answer all of our questions clearly and thoroughly. When he had a bit of an emergency, they got him in immediately and talked us through what was likely to be going on. Dr. Brennan emailed me for follow up to some strange symptoms and provided all the information I could have wanted to my questions. I could not recommend this place more.

  • Juliana Gorena

this place is horrible. first off- the vet basically body slammed our dog on the ground and was so forceful with her it was awful. our dog is not aggressive and there’s no reason she should have been like that. second- they tried to convince us our dog had cancer & to get a $600 biopsy on a skin tag she has had since she was 1. they also did not inform us of the cost of the urinalysis (which was almost $150) and charged us $50 for a $2 pill we could have gotten online. For the urinalysis, they took our dog back and we heard her whining and they were back 2 minutes later. it was very obvious they were forceful to get the urine out which I have never seen before. I would NOT recommend this vet at all. it is very obvious all they want is your money. save your money and go somewhere else

I evacuated from Florida for Hurricane Irma, but my fur-child wasn't able to stay with me in Atlanta. VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital was referred to me by another boarding facility. They went out of their way to assure me that my sweet fur-child was safe and well taken care of during his stay there. They were flexible on my arrival/departure due to my circumstance, and they were able to accommodate his special needs as being an "only dog", dog. The entire staff and Veterinarian I spoke to over the phone and those I met, during my ordeal were beyond nice and extremely helpful. Thank you, VCA Buckhead! You made my crazy evacuating adventure less stressful. I gladly recommend VCA BuckHead Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a great Veterinarian and/or boarding facility in Atlanta!

Stay far away from this place. I took vacation from work to take my cat in for a simple nail trim on 3/19/21 and the unprofessional staff didn't know how to hold a cat to trim its nails. They told me I needed to sedate my cat the next time I brought her there and I fell for the con job by paying $27 for sedatives to use for future visits. I've had the cat's nails trimmed several times, including at this place three months ago, and never had a problem, but all of a sudden she needs a sedative Also, they charged me the full price of $20 for the trim, but when I got home I realized that most of the front nails had not been touched. In other words, I paid for a service I didn't receive, I believe this is known as FRAUD.

We just adopted a puppy from the Humane Society and brought our puppy here. I was a little bit apprehensive after reading the reviews and thought I may leave with some secret charges but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The examined and treated my puppy and did not charge me anything. I honestly think that perhaps some of the bad reviews may have been a bad experience but also may have been people who adopted dogs with either one not knowing of fees or two maybe their dog had more issues than was found by the previous owner or Humane Society. I hope to continue to get care here, because I love the partnership they provide for the Humane Society. I will update if something changes

I had my older dog in PetSmart care for 5 years until we moved to Atlanta. PetSmart service in most locations inthe metropolitan area is absolutely AWFUL and careless, so my husband and I were very concerned about where to take our pup. When we adopted our little girl at the Humane society, went to VCA as a recommendation from THS. The attention and the care was so amazing to our new family addition that we decided to pulled our older pup from PetSmart care and enroll him with VCA. This was the best decision we have made. I now my puppies are taking in great hands and when we have to leave town, they are in the best hands. My husband and I are very grateful and our puppies Ivan and Sarah are too.

I encourage do not I repeat take your pet to this facility....Staff is friendly but the clinic is just after your money. My dog was due for one shot only!!!! The representative on the phone told me that my dog would need to have pet examine whom he had two months prior...Can you tell me why does he need a a health exam again??? Well mam we wants to sure your pet is healthy...Sure how much is the exam....Yes mam it is 75.00...Mind you I call other clinics saying my dog does not need a full health exam for one shot ...This is a place to go to for you only to be rip off pay attention to your bill watch how it racks up at the end!!!! It's not about the money it's about the needs for the pets....

  • Laura Hill

The vet care at this facility is good. That is not the problem. I took in my dog who had a belly ache. They suggested that we should x-ray him and gave me an estimate for $325 to which I agreed. The x-ray was clear. They said that they would give him some fluids and some anti-nausea medicine. When I checked out, my bill was $480.25. I was never informed or consulted about the extra $150. When I spoke to the manager she was pleasant but offered me nothing. When I said they would lose my business, she asked where they should send the records. They didn't give a damn about retaining my business, just about collecting my money. I will never take my dogs there again.

  • Big A

I would love to address whether or not my dogs first was free or not? However I did notice that there’s obviously a huge turnover and the staff members listed online isn’t the current staff at all. I’m sure it takes a specific member to update the website regularly? I say this because I am very concerned about allowing your team to perform surgery on my pet but no reviews on whom is a great surgeon and nothing online detailing whom the current surgeons are because theirs no bio for them. If there’s some type of listing of the current staff with bio would be nice. Otherwise I’ll have take my pet somewhere else that has what I need to feel comfortable.

Dr. Anderson and the vet techs are top notch. I am a “helicopter” dog owner and have never felt more at ease than with Dr. Anderson. She is very professional, warm and patient and takes time to explain things thoroughly. The techs are extremely patient and gentle with my dog, who is very timid with strangers. Everyone who works there reflects a medical standard that I wish all fields—human and dog alike —possessed. I also never feel judged when I ask about pricing and treatment alternatives and I never feel rushed out even when I know things are really chaotic for them. I am so sad I am moving out of state but am so glad I chose the Buckhead VCA!

  • Wilson York

This used to be a wonderful place. I took my babies here for 14 years and got loving, responsive care and clear communication from their caregivers. On recent visits, however, staff turnover was so high that there was nobody left in the building who knew my dog or me, and the people we saw treated us as mere customers with little interest in building a real relationship. Sad to say that BAH has declined significantly, and that their care and communication no longer match costs that have always been on the high end. This would be a one-star review if not for the years of good care we once got there. We won’t be returning.

  • Michael North

While I hope no one has to rush their pet with an emergency to a hospital, I'm glad I took my cat, Zig-Zag, to this location. They were able to check him in quickly, run some blood work and find out what's going on. The doctor, I believe it was Dr. Nina, went over some options, they kept him over night and she called me the next day to keep me updated. The entire staff was very kind, loving, and understanding in this stressful situation. I've only visited this place once and it was in an emergency situation but the level of compassion and communication was out of this world. Thank you for an amazing service.

  • toddsnends

I adopted a senior dog after her original owner fell ill. The staff knew and loved this poor girl, who, other than vet visits, was severely neglected at home, living mostly in isolation. The staff - vets and techs - were friendly and knowledgeable. Reading the dog's medical history, I found good detail that helped me understand her past. I didn't have the dog for long, she was already very old. I helped her to her finish line. She finally felt love and was tired and ready to go. The staff was happy her final months were bright as compared to her previous years. I felt their compassion. They were very caring.

Love Dr Krohne, Keith, Amanda, & Sue. They take the best car of my furbaby, Grantley. Dr Krohne does his teeth cleaning & mass tumor removal so he only has to go under once, being n old man dog & my baby, whish is very important to me. She's a Very Amazing Vet. I know Vets don't always get the recognition they deserve. She definitely deserves it though, she's honest, caring, thorough, fun, and an all around wonderful person! And the front desk Keith, Amanda, & Sue are all just the sweetest people too. They always remember me & G and make us feel welcome every time we're there. Thank you guys!!!

  • Rachel

I brought my 2 month old puppy here for his first exam after I adopted him from the Humane Society. The receptionist and technician were great but my dissatisfaction was with the veterinarian, Dr Willey. She talked with me for maybe 10 minutes and I felt that she couldn't answer any of my questions- the whole visit felt very rushed. Not to mention she said "heart and lungs sound great" and I didn't even see her listen to them. I was still speaking with her as she was trying to walk out the door. Was expecting a more thorough visit for my first puppy and to have my questions answered.

  • Perry Foster

This vet is just after your money - you will never spend less than $300 per visit. I brought him in during a bad case of kennel cough - they gave him a 10 second examination, prescribed cough suppressants, and charged me $300. I brought him in after he had gotten into some gum, they charged $500 to give him hydrogen peroxide to make him puke it up. And they wanted to charge another ~$500 on top of that to provide him with charcoal and other preventative measures, which I refused. STAY AWAY - much cheaper options are available.

  • Richard Waterhouse

I just recently took my dog to Buckhead Animal Hospital for severe diarrhea. They diagnosed what the problem was quickly and gave me pills and special dog food which cleared it up quickly. Also, the fees for the visit and special pills & dog food were very reasonable. We have been taking our animals here since 1986 and have been so impressed how they cater to the animals and let you know up front what the cost will be for any procedures. I also impressed that they call the next day and see how the dog is doing.

  • Lilly Terrell

Took our cat here who had neurological issues and they did not help at all saying our cat was fine. Took our cat back again and tried to charge us for tests that had nothing to do with the situation. We are young and think that's possibly the reason why they think they could try to up charge us. Sad. Took our cat to vet in Inman park and they were amazing! They took time giving us options and medication, and it worked!! If you're looking through reviews this is your sign not to choose this place.

  • Natasha Powell

I was slightly hesitant to visit a vet clinic amidst the pandemic but VCA Buckhead has got their clinic operations working perfectly. There is no waiting after you call and tell them you are in the parking lot. A vet tech comes out to your car and picks up your baby and loobingly transports back and forth for the appointment. What's more, you check out over the phone having never come in contact with anyone inside the clinic. It is wonderful and VCA Buckhead has become my dog's permanent clinic.

  • Lucy Smith

Was desperate to get my kitten into the vet and within 12 hours of me calling for an appointment we were headed (as a new client) to VCA Buckhead. The vet was on time to the appointment (meaning we didn't have to sit in the waiting room for forever), they were gentle with my kitten and helped quickly address the problem with clear direction for me when we returned home. Even gave us a goodie bag with toys and a bag of kitten food upon departure. My kitten and I are very appreciative!

  • Shane R

I have only been twice so far, but I will say I have VERY pleased with what I’ve heard and saw so far. VCA’s Dr.’s & techs have been very clear and concise about entering they recommend and what it all involves. They are “Fear Free” certified and did things to ensure that my female German Shepherd was at ease and didn’t feel threatened. I was amazed at the care given. They followed up with both phone call and text steer the appointment. I just felt great after the visits. Thanks VCA!

  • Mary Martha Adkins

I have been bringing my dogs to Buckhead Animal Clinic before it was owned by VCA a very long time, over 25 years. I am getting more and more disillusioned with the VCA company as a whole. They overcharge on services but especially on heart worm and flea prevention medications. I am sure they make plenty of money with the vet services they offer and then charge so much for the monthly medications that are so important for our pets continued health, it is a shame.

  • Fubux07

These pet places are scammers. They all claim to want to help but all they want is your money. Don’t come here if your buddy is injured, all they will do is take an x Ray, give your pet pills, send a referral to another expensive place, then charge you over 500+. The doctor knew very well what was going on with my buddy and still took my money. That could of been applied to fixing the problem and not putting me in more of a hole. Thank you for nothing!!!

  • June Nwachukwu

I took my new cat friend Doug here right after I adopted him from the Atlanta Human Society, and his first visit was free with a free complimentary dose of anti-worm and flea medicine! For those mentioning hidden fees, of course if there is an underlying issue with your baby they may have to add on a few services which I was prepared for before adopting my little pal. They truly care about the health of your pet, and I will be back!

  • Andrew Nelson

They stick needles in your cat, right in front of you. Then, rather than having the vet tell you what they recommend, they send an assistant to upsell you. Those assistants will either push you to buy stuff out of fear, or they just don't know what they are selling at all. It's also really expensive. Find a locally-owned, non-franchise veterinarian. Preferably one that treats only cats.

  • Mert Uzunogullari

We have been taking our Goldendoodle, Rico, to VCA Buckhead since he was 2 months old. Dr. Clifton has been great at keeping track of Rico's needs and she patiently explains everything he needs in detail to us. This is by no means an affordable place, however working with Dr. Clifton gives us comfort that Rico is taken care of! They always check on him the next day too.

  • Douglas Greer

I can only wish there were not so many issues with the front desk. The manager is incredible and fixes matters as they are brought to her attention but sadly they shouldn’t have had to be in the first place. I had to report to her that a tech was literally dragging my BLIND DOG down the hall in lieu of actually taking their time with her (they knew she was blind).

  • Queen Venus

They are amazing!!! They fit us in at the last minute and I was grateful. My 9 month old brindle baby had an eye infection. The staff is beyond wonderful and we're so attentive and loving towards her. How can you not be grateful! The nurses and doctor were knowledgeable and the care she received was refreshing. They are stuck with us and all my fur babies!

  • Brittani Frye

I adopted my dog 4 years ago and came here. They helped us out so much. Things I couldn't afford at 21 they would provide for me with no cost for the love of my dog being healthy. They were so nice, professional and loving during each visit. TAUGHT ME SO MUCH AND I AM SO GRATEFUL. I am moving back to the city and Blur and I will be coming back.

  • Joe Brottman

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank this VCA. For my dog Reese and I, this team defines quality of care. Between their communication and attention to detail, I simply trust them. We've had a hard month of medical complications, and they always make the time to listen to my endless questions and concerns. Thanks for taking care of us.

  • Bahar A

The staff at VCA Buckhead is truly amazing! My cat hates going to the vet, like most animals, but the VCA staff is always gentle and caring and make her feel safe. Dr. Brennan is especially wonderful and will patiently answer my many questions with frankness and honesty. I’m so glad to have found a place that I can trust with my baby!

  • Kelly Singh

They are the absolute best and I love Dr. Krhone! They explain all charges before proceeding and they don't try to make you spend unnessarily. They always try the cheapest solution first and if that doesn't work try the next. It is easy to get an appointment. But the most important thing is my dog loves it here.

  • Damon W

The staff on every level/visit are so professional and caring. My dog Simon is so well cared for in their clinic that I don't mind a slightly higher price sometimes for great care. Simon is now 17 years old and blind with some arthritis aches occasionally but so healthy and cared about here. Thank you!

  • deepsouthculture

Stopped taking my pets here after the changed hours of operation, but was looking for a new vet even before that. The vet we saw was not very personable, and didn't explain much on what was going on with them. I ended up going with a cat only vet which, in my opinion, is a better option for cat owners.

I've used VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital for about 15 years now even though they are no longer a convenient location for me. They've treated 4 dogs for me. Everyone (from the front desk staff to the doctors) really care about their patients and their owners. I trust their medical advice.

A caring, efficient and knowledgeable clinic. Dr.Willey is so wonderful! Everyone from front desk to the vet techs are the best! I feel reassured knowing my kitten kimchi has a safe place to go to for care. I will be bringing my other kitten for care as well. Definitely recommend!

I have received top notch customer service and my dogs get top notch care. I have been other places and once my dog almost died from a misdiagnosis. I do not buy my monthly meds here. They are cheaper elsewhere. Again, I go here for quality of care and I get my money's worth.

We had to put our animal down and it was great breaking. The staff and doctors here were so supportive, kind and loving during this difficult time! Thank you so much for all of your help! We are getting new pets soon and will be brining them here for sure!

  • Rick Howington

Dr. Davis and the entire group at the VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital are amazing. They helped us with care of you our cat Alex in his final days. With kindness and gentleness, they treated us with with dignity providing both expertise and loving support.

  • James Berry

Vets are great and the staff is always so friendly. My puppy Georgia doesn’t even mind going to the vet because they always give her lots of treats and love to make sure the shots don’t scare her. Great at answering phone and have an easy to use app.

Pretty bad about trying to get every penny out of you. Annual wellness exams are charged EVERY time you go there. Never let them try and stretch out your pets vaccines over multiple visits. Lesson learned. Unethical business practice for sure.

  • Felicia Burzotta

Nothing but great things to say about VCA. Every time my fur baby has an appointment, they text me the day after to check in on her. I’ve never had a vet clinic do that. I can tell Dr. Clifton genuinely cares about my dog and the front desk

  • Amy Herman

Aside from being easy to schedule with and delightful to work with, the customer service here is absolutely unparalleled. Filling out forms, submitting to insurance, and re-sending forms due to varying regulations is an ABSOLUTE BREEZE.

  • Stephanie Boles

Always pleased when I take my pup there. Everyone is so kind there and you can tell they love animals. It can get a little pricey so beware. When I boarded my pup they sent me pictures of her and texted me updates, which put me at ease.

  • Irina Marchenko

Thank you very much for Dr. Brennan. She always takes care about our dogs. I like this clinic so much because of our professional Dr. Brennan, all stuff, they send notifications about vaccinations for my dogs (it is very comfortable).

I recently adopted a cat from the Atlanta Humane Society and went to this VCA for an initial complementary check-up. The staff was very friendly and very efficient - I actually got there about 5 to 10 minutes late and they were very

We just adopted 2 cats from the Humane society, and went to VCA for a new pet checkup. Service was super friendly. Vet was fantastic with the cats and my son (hah!). Seems like a truly genuinely caring environment for animals.

  • Allie Powell

Best staff ever!! They not only care about your pet but also the owner. They text and call to check in after visits and are very knowledgeable. I’ll be taking both of my cats there for now on. Highly highly recommend!

  • Deborah grantham

We were given a referral from the Humane Society of Atlanta to have our dog’s teeth cleaned. They were wonderful in every aspect. Timely, professional and compassionate. Would definitely recommend them to everyone.

  • Beatriz Rodriguez-Gomez

Super friendly staff. Clean and safe environment. Dr. Binkow and Dr. Clifton have treated and continue to treat all of my 3 fur babies. They are kind, understanding and very informative. Thank you so much.

Very Pleasant staff , clean facility efficient all around. It was my newly adopted dogs first visit to the vet with me. The staff, and Veternarian herself took extremely great care of both of us.

  • Kaitlyn Shea O'Connor

We've been taking our pets to this location for 8 years, and the staff has always been kind, efficient and caring. Dr. Willey was especially wonderful with my cat. Would highly recommend!

  • Christine Wilmott

I had a great experience with my newly adopted cat. The staff was very knowledgeable and kind. For the nosiest cat in the world, they were very accommodating and gentle. Thank you

  • Adriane Lapsley Butler

The only Vet we have taken our dog to. Great hours, fantastic follow up care and pleasant staff (extra points for this when they are dealing with sensitive pet parents like me)

  • Jay C

Way too many surprise fees. Something that was 65 would have cost be over $500 with all the recommendations they said my pet needed. I said no thank you and that cost me 95.00.

  • Wallace Vaughan

They take the time to figure out what’s going on with your pet, and they know what they are doing. Overall a pleasant experience for the vet, and extremely friendly staff.

  • Brandon Nuccio

VCA Buckhead is absolutely wonderful. The staff from the front desk, to the vet techs to the veterinarians is incredible. I trust my animals 100% with them!

  • Nick Parete

Sat in the waiting area for 2.5 hours and had to leave without being seen. I’m Told them we had a flight to catch and they still didn’t care. Go elsewhere.

  • LaDee Po'aTree

Our pets have been patients here for years. We love it. I'll tell you why; We just adopted a new kitten misplaced from Dorian, and the amazing BAH team

  • Sheila Pollino

We have been taking our dogs to this office since we first moved to Atlanta. Fast forward 5 years later and we still love all of the staff and vets!

  • Clinton James

VCA is always spot-on. The vet was great. And the staff is great too. I have used VCA in three cities in two states. They are worth the money.

  • Pamela Rewald

Our cat Hal is a frequent flyer and always comes away feeling loved. Love that the vets always follow up the next day to see how we're doing.

  • Erin Ed

Brought our new puppy here for a wellness exam. They answered all of our questions and even gave a few goodies for the pup.

  • Camilo Arango

Always great with my dog. They found an issue another vet was not able to and have continued to go to them since.

  • El Jewel

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, felt welcomed from the second I brought my new cat in
