We adopted a rescue dog at 3 months old, we had fostered for several years before that so we had a decent knowledge of the common things that come up with dogs, but our little guy was a different story. He was having diarrhea - straight liquid - we tried to change foods a few times and when it wasn't getting better, we decided to go to the vet. We had done a LOT of research as to which vet we wanted to go to, but oddly enough Harvest Hills hadn't really come up in any of our searches. We went to two different vets, first one told us just to wait it out. I wasn't happy with that answer because there was no information backing it, so we went to a second one and did not get great service. A friend recommended Harvest Hills to me, so we went and I could not believe that a vet office like that actually existed. It is clean, the girls at the desk and the Tech's are SO friendly and extremely helpful, and Dr. Jess Oullett has been the most incredible doctor. We went through an extremely rough few months trying to find out what was wrong with our boy and it was expensive and emotional (side note - get pet insurance! We didn't at first and regretted it big time). Through the entire thing, Dr. Jess and literally every other staff there were so supportive and did everything they could to help us. Dr. Jess always helped us figure out ways to do things that would be cost effective and always gave us ALL of the information so that we could make an informed decision. I am one of those people who, when asked what the issue is or what symptoms we have noticed, can go on forever explaining every detail in case it is relevant and Dr. Jess always takes the time to listen, she asks us thorough questions, lets us know what to look out for and what certain things can mean, and is just a genuinely honest and caring person. I feel like the staff there truly love my dog and I can not tell you enough how great this place has been for us. Before writing this, I read some of the other reviews. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I can agree that some situations would be extremely frustrating and that likely not every person has had the amazing experience that we have, but it is important to remember that these people are human as well. They have days they aren't feeling 100% - so do we. Sometimes they will be busy, and sometimes they will be fully booked and can't accommodate your appointment, you have to expect that anywhere you go, especially the good places because of course they will book up fast. They aren't an emergency hospital, they aren't the place where your pet can go to have a major surgery, and really, they probably aren't the best place to go if your pet is in critical condition and needs medical attention - not because they don't care, or wouldn't try to help- but that isn't what their clinic is for, and they wouldn't have all of the tools and resources available to do what may be needed. We have had a few emergency scares, and even though they couldn't fit us in or weren't the right place to go for that particular situation, they have always recommended to us what we should do, in most cases it has been to go to the CARE center, because that is the purpose of the CARE center. It's great to look at reviews before you go somewhere and try and benefit from the experiences of others, however this is only beneficial to a certain extent, you have to be willing to try and sometimes you have to be willing to give second chances. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Harvest hills and have had great experiences even in difficult and emotional situations, I hope you do too, but really you will never know unless you give them a chance. Treat them like people, be understanding of their side of things and I have no doubt you will be treated just as we have. Oh and also, our dog is doing great, he is now a year and a half and though we still have certain things that we are working through, he is living a happy and healthy life and I honestly don't think we could have done it without the Dr. Jess and the staff at Harvest Hills.
We had decided a week ago that it was time to put our 17 yr old golden retriever down as she has tumors and lumps all over her body. Shes blind and deaf and cant even walk up our set of stairs outside. So decided for her better quality of life if we said goodbye. We booked the appointment and went to go in and get it all done. As stressful as this is I took my antianxiety meds that I have been prescribed and they said that because we took the medicine that we weren't able to make the right choices for our dog. That they wouldnt do the procedure. We made the decision A WEEK ago. This situation is stressful enough as it is and they just made it 10x worse. My mom just had heart surgery and Then they tried to say my mother was slurring her words. She was crying cause she thought we where putting our dog down of course shes gonna be upset and distraught. I'm sickened by the actions of this vet hospital they said it was for the safety of the dog but helped wrap my dog up that was already half sedated and cant be walk out. They wanna call it safety and wellbeing for the dog but clearly that wasnt the case! They wanted us to do test and xrays of thousands of dollars that we cant afford before they could say it was her time. It's a joke and they ARENT THERE FOR THE WELLBEING OF THE ANIMAL OR CLIENTS! Take your buisness elsewhere. They will just make you more of a nervous wreck then you need to be in at this hard time of saying goodbye. I'm going to the papers to because this is just straight up ridiculous to tell someone they arent making the right call when the animal is clearly in pain and cant even go outside to the bathroom. RIDICULOUS!
We have been coming here for years but unlikely to ever go back again. We had a new vet, at least new to us. Her "bedside"manner was atrocious. She had zero tact and horrific delivery. After her 5 minute exam of the cat she announced we had a "very sick cat". She recommended blood work and an xray. We spent $600. The blood work came back normal. The vet was convinced that there was an obstruction in her intestines, "classic X-ray of a string like obstruction". She said we would likely be putting down our cat in the next 12-24 hours if we did not act. We would have to do an ultrasound of the abdomen and or exploratory surgery. Exploratory surgery. Are you kidding me. Let's just open up a cat and see what we can find. Even though the cat seemed to be getting better (eating, drinking etc) we had a sleepless night. Not wanting to take a chance and miss something, we went to the CARE hospital. The vet and radiologist did not agree with the diagnosis of the X-ray, but we decided to do the ultrasound based in the "doomsday" prediction of the first vet. We could not live with ourselves if we erred. So another $800. The vet at the hospital also did not agree with the first vets diagnosis of a "very sick" cat. After $1400, one sleepless night, stressing out our cat we found that they could not find anything during their exam or on the ultrasound. We are happy our cat is fine. As for going back to this vet. Never
Took my dog yesterday as something was concerning me - they got me in same day and were great! They were unable to do anything at the time, but let me know of the procedure that I needed to get done. I let them know that I had to check my schedule and I would call back right away to book in for that. I call back a couple hours later to ask for the price, as well as to book the appointment. They let me know that the vet was busy and they would call me back that evening with a quote, as well as email me. This morning, still no call back or email. The issue with my dog has got WORSE. I called back this morning let them know how this issue has gotten worse, and that I never received a call back about an appointment or the quote for the procedure the day before. She let me know the vet was still busy and that they would call me back or email me the quote, still haven’t offered to book her in for an appointment even though I told them over the phone she’s getting worse. 6 hours later - still no call back or email. They do not seem concerned about the well being of my dog, or any future business or even just basic customer service skills. I would recommend going to sage hill animal hospital - amazing service from both the receptionist, as well as the vet that got on the phone with me right away and stayed late to accommodate my dog and the appointment!
My dog got super sick very quickly, I brought him to North emergency and told them what had been happening and mentioned that his groomer brought up a possible ear infection. Needless to say they quickly diagnosed with old dog disease and a degenerative disk disease within 5 minutes without checking his ear gave me pain meds and told me to lock him in a crate for 3-6 weeks (5 minutes for a $400 fee) A week of him suffering and me agonizingly deciding that I would put him down that weekend, I first brought him to the Harvest hills clinic to get a second opinion and mentioned again the possible ear infection. Dr. Tara was amazing. She took her time with him and checked him from head to toe and listened to my concerns. she did a swab of his ear and found that he did in fact have an infection in his ear and gave me antibiotic ear drops for him. Well, two days later he was 100% better. He could move his back legs, could walk in a straight line, he was eating and drinking again. If it wasn't for Dr. Tara, I would have put down my companion of 15 years (he still acts like a puppy) long before his time. (Her visit only cost $100 for the meds and checkup) I am so very very grateful for her and going forward will not go to anyone else but her. I felt like she genuinely cared about my dog and it wasn't just a business transaction. Love love love Dr. Tara
CASH GRAB VET!!!!!!! Lower then a 1 star My awful experience is long and detailed so I'll make it easy.... The vet that saw my dog was the owner Les. - my dog went in sick and the vet didn't seem concerned almost annoyed when he offered a blood test and I agreed to it. - as we left the office room he told me he would only charge me for a "regular visit" (he did blood work and sent me to CARE ANIMAL EMERGE) (KEEP IN MIND LATER I FOUND OUT THEY WERE OWNED TOGETHER that visit cost me $2000) as I came to the cash and was asked straight out what I did for a living? When I replied after knowing what i did then charged me a full $300. Fast forward a few weeks - my husband called in for a sooner than a check up appointment due to my dogs addison's. We are new to the disease so we are kind of on the look out for any signs. Everything was fine until the vet called my husband back and told him don't bother bring him to emergency again.....they do not want to deal with him. So we took him to South Vet off elbow and $150 later our dog is just fine. The vet went thru all meds and seriously went thru the diesease in and out. Finally vet who cares and isn't in it for just more money. So sad! I will say they do have an amazing office manager and the girls up front are great at their jobs.
Ever since “Dr K Wall” started being my cats vet she has been horrible. Every year I see her she disagrees with everything I say. And she claims my cat is highly viscous and needs to be locked in a kennel or restrained at all times. I understand some pets may have issues but my cat does not have any issues, it all matters on how you raise and train your pet and my baby is the sweetest little guy you can ever meet. Everyone loves him and he has never bitten anyone. The last time I went into this clinic for his check up needles will be the last time I step foot in there. I am going to request a file transfer and I will be reporting to the veterinarian society about her. I have been going there for years and every year it gets worse. I wish I could post photos on here for reference. Usually my cat has his needles in front of me, he needs his momma. But this time they took him away from me because they needed to “restrain” him. I don’t know what they did to him in the back room but he came back shaking. Animal abuse. & also my good friend brought his dog in there for years & “Dr K Wall” literally abused his dog right in front of us one time & his dad freaked out at her. They never went there again and their dog soon passed right after. So very disgusted.
I am very upset about this place, after our senior cat could have died because the vet was very unprofessional. My cat is 17 years old, and she recently got 4 teeth extracted by the vet. She was sent home with two kinds of pain killers...yes, 2 kinds. We were told to give her 5 syringes per day.....and yes, you didn't hear it wrong, 5 pain killer syringes. The first day, she was knocked out all day. We woke up with her covered in her own urine and poop, because she didn't have the energy to go to the litter box or eat or drink. We had to reduce to 3 syringes, and she is still out all day. The instruction that the vet gave us was to give her these pain killers for 4 days straight, and weren't told how serious it can affect her. When we called the vet about it, they pushed the responsibility on us and made it sound like it was our fault that we did not know the serious outcome. As a pet owner, I strongly recommend everyone either choose a better vet or go in with caution.
I have two dogs that have been coming to HHV for their whole (9 Year) life. I have never felt overcharged or under attended to. The staff and assistants are super friendly and make you feel like you're right where you should be! We have seen 3 different vets from this clinic and I have felt that they are all as caring and educated as each other. One of my dogs has allergies and is in periodic need of prescription refills...I have never had a problem calling up and requesting a prescription to be filled with no visit required(based on that it is the same recurring issue) to be picked up the following day. I like how they are orientated on the long term health of your pet here. My dogs love coming here, they look forward to the treats they get during their annual exam. the fact that my dogs have no reservations of coming in to a place where they are poked and prodded tells me that the staff here are doing their job great!!!! My dogs LOVE the staff here!!
I cannot thank Dr. Morris and her team enough! I recently took my cat Minou in due to frequent vomiting. Dr. Morris called during the appointment and thoroughly went through all my concerns with Minou. Additionally, after getting the urinalysis and bloodwork back, she called and took the time to explain everything in great detail to me and answer all of my questions about the possible treatment options. Her team even took the time to shave some of Minou’s knots out of her fur as well. My fiancée and I took Minou in a couple days later, and the vet tech gave very clear and thorough instructions on how to administer Minou’s medication to her at home. Since giving Minou her medication, she has stopped vomiting and her appetite has improved substantially. In all my years of dealing with veterinarians, I’ve never had a vet go above and beyond the usual level of service like Dr. Morris has. I will likely be going back here for years to come.
I visited this vet place today for my dog. He had splinter in his and the doctor quoted me $988 to remove the splinter and to do a blood work that has nothing to do with my dog having splinter. I was so surprised by the cost and for something that little work needed to be done would cost that much money. I felt this place are out to grab your money than giving the right treatment for your pet. I took my dog some where else and the place I took him, took out the splinter with out sedation and handed me my dog and FREE OF CHARGE. Imagine for something simple as taking out of splinter would cost almost a $1000 dollars . I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Watch out they are looking for your money not for your pet well-being. My pet was examined in your clinic, that's why the doctor informed me how much was going to cost. Without examination you cannot give a cost. It shows what kinda care you guys give. Lies
One of the most professional and caring clinics I have been too. While many others in the city are very transactional and cold, this certainly was as positive of an experience as could be had saying goodbye to a pet. At a very hard time for our family, when our lovely chocolate lab was diagnosed with cancer and began to decline very quickly, Dr. Robertson provided the upmost care, respect and compassion at this transition for us and our sweet girl. Our usual vet was not available and they were able to help us without question and provided us with an unmatched professional but caring experience. They even offered us some keepsake options we didn't know were available which are now some of our most prized possessions. We have now moved our business to their clinic permanently. We could not recommend them more for any of your pets needs. Thank you so much for giving us so much at such a hard time.
Jennifer Robinson diagnosed my rare breed of dog with a neurological disorder and wrote pages of notes on my dogs file because he would not stop scratching. Conclusion after I SUGGESTED AS THE DOGS OWNER that he be given an allergy shot. Symptoms immediately subsided and the dog ultimately hated the collar he had on. Think about the wasted money that would’ve been spent if I actually followed her diagnosis. At no time did she suggest a rational reason for the scratching, just straight to the most severe and harshest diagnosis?? It felt like she almost wanted him to have a serious condition. Update: after taking the dog to a veterinarian that is familiar to the breed, the dog was pronounced perfectly healthy??? Just a heads up... we could’ve fell down an unnecessary rabbit hole of vet expenses if we didn’t use our common sense and request he be treated for mere itchy skin.
They are pricey but to be honest I’d rather pay more for good service. One of my dogs is a bit of a lemon with a variety of chronic problems. So I need more than just some shots every few years. I’ve had to do some shopping around for a good vet for her. We recently got a new dog from the Cochrane shelter and there were a bunch of vets offering free check ups. I picked these guys and am happy to have done so. The front desk guys are awesome, they know a lot and aren’t rude. The vet techs are pleasant and very knowledgeable. My new vet, Dr. Hancock is just great. She’s clearly a busy lady but takes the time to call me and check in on my sweet girl. The location is very clean and looks pretty new. I had a problem today and they fixed it right away. I’m very happy with my decision to switch to Harvest Hills. (Also to HH- thank you for everything)
We have been going to the Harvest Hills Vet now called VCA Harvest Hill since it opened. When Dr Les McCurdy owned this place it was the greatest place ever. We visit weekly in our walks just to hangout and make sure our pets are always comfortable and not reactive. Prices were so reasonable and staff are always great and accommodating. We have had many pets (cats/dogs/our older kids pets as well) come here and each and everyone had the best of care. I have referred many friends and family here and they all had great care as well. But since it has been bought by VCA the price has almost doubled. The staff and doctors are still great and never an issue with them at all, but the cost is not. For this reason I will start looking for another vet. It saddens me that I have to do this. An era has come and gone.
Dr. Morris is absolutely fantastic! She is always very helpful and friendly! We recently moved to Airdrie, so it's a bit of a drive to see her, but for us, it's worth it! Sheppard absolutely loves going to see "the doctor ladies" and willingly goes into his kennel when we tell him that. It's one thing for pet parents to like a vet, but it's a whole other thing if your fur baby loves their vet! We will continue to see Dr. Morris as long as possible and the clinic staff are great about helping us with that! On another note, the doctors here are also amazing when it comes to having to send your fur baby to the rainbow bridge. We lost both of our dogs within a few months of each other and this clinic was very supportive and professional when it came to us and our dogs.
Absolute horrible experience, they charge you outrageously high prices for services that other vet clinics charge a fraction of the price for. 100$ consultation fee.. completely absurd. Have no knowledge about what they're doing. The receptionists are completely incompetent and rude, they should not be working in customer service. Especially the one with purple hair. Learn to direct your customers to someone who can actually help deal with and resolve your problem . What a waste of time and money. I would not recommend these incompetent people to anyone. Do yourself a favour and call other clinics before going here, their prices are insane. They don't care about your animals, all they care about is your money. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I have been coming to this clinic for 15yrs. And the standard if care has really gone down since Dr.Mcurdy is no longer working full time. Today I had dropped off a urine sample for my dog which has to be collected first thing in the morning and dropped it off at the clinic. Not even an hour later I received a call that they had thrown out the sample and told me that this happens all the time. I called back asking if the vet can give me a call and the front staff was rude and told me that she is too busy . This is not acceptable to throw out specimens and to have it be happening all the time. I currently pay for care club for my dog at this clinic but will not be continuing this for another year once this period is over.
I had to take my 12 year old cat in to see what was going on, she had lost weight and was constantly going to the litter box. The vet Jennifer was fantastic, she gave me all the particulars of what could be going on. My cat loved her and was so relaxed in the examining room. They had to take blood and a urine sample and she was back to me the next day with the results. I had to take my cat back to see her because she ended up with diabetes. The staff was so helpful teaching me how to give her insulin and my cat was not stressed out at all. I feel very comfortable in saying that this clinic is very friendly and make sure that you know everything that they will do to help you out with your pet!
Our family has been taking our Golden Retriever and Black Lab to the Harvest Hills Veterinary Clinic since they were puppies. The two dogs are one month apart in age and the loves of our lives. We were extremely careful in the beginning and checked out a number of Vets in and around our area before we decided on HHVC. We find the Vets as well as the entire staff to be courteous and always willing to help. But the one thing that separates this Clinic from all others and continues to this day is...........they genuinely care about the animals they treat. I would highly recommend the Harvest Hills Veterinary Clinic to anyone looking to get the best care for there best friend(s).
Update: 5 years later, and a move to another city, and I still prefer coming here. They know my pet and her history and allow me to come in to try and make things less stressful for her. Which, is so incredibly appreciated! Original: We love coming here. We've been taking both our cat and dog here for months and we're so happy to have found this place. They treat us and our pets so incredibly well and we love the advice and support we get. We've seen Dr. Morris the most, but have interacted with most everyone in the clinic when we bring our puppy in for treats and socialization and it's great to know the kind of people who take care of your loved ones.
Called this place for a phone quote to get a shot for my pup and found out their price was almost 50% more than other clinics. I do understand that private practices have the right to charge whatever they want, but at least make it competitive! The price difference and poor reviews left by others set off alarms bells that they will be gouging you for alot more in the future. I felt that the receptionist is trained to handle customers much like they handle customers at a dealership. 1 star cause this is the minimum amount you have to give in order to write a review. The reason for my review is to make others aware and save you time and money.
I have two cats and both so far have been treated very well by the staff. One of the cats had an allergic reaction to one of the vaccinations and the staff asked me to bring him in and they made sure he was ok and re-hydrated etc. At the end of all this, I was fearing the bill but ready to pay, and there was no charge for it. All the staff are very helpful and polite and listen to my questions etc., I have never had a problem. Just saw the 1 star review below and I really hope the person got the vet clinic wrong or something because I just can't imagine which vet at Harvest Hills would actually have treated him this way.
We have used Harvest Hills Vet in the past when we lived in the area and they always provided great care. We moved to south central Calgary a few years ago and tried 3 different vets - they were all terrible with our dog - even though reviews said they were good. So we thought we would try Harvest Hills again, and so glad we did!! We were BLOWN away by the care, the love and the attention she gave our dog. Dr Stephanie Hancock treated our dog just like her own and we walked out of there with smiles on our faces. When you find a vet that cares for your pet and treats you like family, why go anywhere else?
We’ve gone here for the last 2-3 years for our cat and dog. While the care has been good for the most part, we have decided we will no longer be using this clinic. We were very disappointed to find out that the owner would not put up our missing cat poster because it made it look “too cluttered.” It makes us wonder if this is just a business for them or if they truly cared for the animals, not to mention whether they have any sense of community (we live 2 minutes away). We world rather travel further and find a clinic that is sincere about their dedication to our fur babies.
I’ve been going to a VCA animal Hospital since I was old enough to have my own animals as an adult. I love her other one but this one is fantastic too. I think I’ve been more times than I’ve actually paid for because they follow up so many of their visits with a bunch of phone calls or little tiny five minute visits where you just pop in and they just check that everything‘s going OK. It’s seriously an awesome peace of mind feeling to know that you’re not just all on your own. They are so nice there. Honestly in terms of customer service they are pretty top notch.
We have gone here for 7 + years with our lab, apparently none of the vets we have seen previously are on staff as of now. Our lab gets frequent ear infections always treated with the same ear drop prescription, today they will not refill unless we bring the dog in, which as far as I’m concerned is a huge cash grab. Never going back. I’m a prescribing healthcare professional who treats humans, I refill prescriptions frequently without marking patients come to see me. This is absolutely the worst service, and not to mention a cash grab. They’ve lost our business.
Typical license to print money like most veterinary clinics. We explained clearly the issue that we had and were hesitant on their recommended xrays and blood work, but they are the “experts” and then $800 unnecessary dollars later our dog still has the same injury and they’ve referred us to physio to help fix it, which is what they should have done in the first place. Had we known that Physio for dogs was a thing we would have avoided being ripped off by these clinics like we normally do. I would recommend going elsewhere. I will be.
We have been clients for 3 years now. Today my wife found a kitten in the snow at work, very frozen, but still breathing. Everyone in her office made sure he was keeping warm to raise his temperature, but he was not doing well. She tried making an appointment for today explaining what had happened, but was told 'sorry you will have to call back tomorrow we are fully booked'. Wow, this was an emergency - they could have taken a few minutes to take a look at the little kitten. Kitty just died... WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!
I wish this was my doctor's office, too! My cat and I had an amazing time here. They treated us like family and made sure all our needs were taken care of. The staff was great from phone call to checkout, and I cannot recommend it enough. For perspective, I went there with my 12 year old domestic shorthair cat, and they treated us like royalty. Cat-oriented room with pheromones and cat toys, a veterinarian who was kind and very knowledgeable... I could go on and on. This is the best place for your pet, period.
We choose to drive across the city to take our cat Ziggy to Dr Les & the team at Harvest Hills Vet Clinic. We have been going there for over 14 years with various pets & couldn't be happier with the caring, compassionate attitude of everyone there - they really have gone above & beyond for us & we know from others who have been there that our experience is not an exception! We have & will continue to highly recommend this clinic - we wouldn't look anywhere else for quality care & exceptional service!
Love this place! We've been going here for 7 years now and never once had a bad experience! The reception staff are always super friendly, knowledgable and go out of their way to help. We've spoke with different vets throughout our time here and they've always been very thorough and patient. Our Basset had to have major surgery recently and they helped us get to where we needed to be and checked in throughout. Would definitely recommend!
I have been here a few times most of the doctors are good. Ì have been where one was awful and I needed to pay and go to another vet and they gave me a lot more information about my dogs situation. Ì have since found a vet that the actual vet himself calls me to check on my dog and not to upsell. Ì will not go back to harvest hills they over charge and don't show a genuine interest in the pet after they leave. Ì have found one who does.
I have been with this clinic for over 7 years. This use to be a good place with caring employees. Now it has become a cash grab don't give a crap about you place. Today I had to take my son's dog in because of an irritated eye issue, I called to say that I would be 20 min late which the girl said would be fine. When I got there they wouldn't see the dog. So they lost my business over what probably would have been a 5 min check up.
I first came here as an out of town guest...the excellent service continues. The clinic is clean, peaceful and well laid out with beautiful animal-themed wall murals. Superb professionals! Jennifer is caring, takes a personal interest in my cat and was very helpful in making practical suggestions. The website is very well done and they actually take the care to follow up after appointments. Top dog...I mean 'notch' all around!
We have had 2 dogs come to HHVC our 1st dog a chocolate lab was allergic to anything with poultry in it and then she became diabetic in her last year of life. We were always treated with the utmost respect and even when her time came we were treated like family with dignity at our time of loss. It took 2 years for us to get another dog and when we did, we came back, we wouldn't go anywhere else to have our pets treated.
I have been bringing my cat Bella here for 2 years now. I love their friendly manner. Bella is not the easiest cat to do a check up with but they are very patient and kind to her. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions I have had. Even though I moved across Calgary I will still be bringing Bella to Harvest Hills Veterinary Clinic and would recommend them to anyone with a beloved fur baby.
Absolutely AWSOME people, went way beyond my expectations to help my Hound (Astro) They directed me to the proper place for an emergency which saved her life after eating a pound of chocolate. They even called back several days later to see how she was doing even when she wasn't at their place. I would recommend this Vet to anyone :) Way beyond my expectations !!!!!!!! Thank you guys, awesome job ! Astro's Mommy
My cat was aging and had been losing weight excessively. HHVC helped us to make a decision that was right for us. They were patient, thoughtful and very supportive as we tried medication before considering "end of life". When we couldn't bare the thought of seeing her drift off, again they reassured us with science and gave us faith in our decision. She was loved right to the end. Thank you Harvest Hills Vets.
The staff here are soooooo nice and caring. After an emergency with my dogs neutering, we had to take him to the pet hospital and we took him back here for a checkup. We didn't have an appointment but they squeezed us in and kept him for the day. Monitoring him and giving us updates on how he was doing. They really care and took good care of my baby. Definitely one of the better vets I've been to in the city.
Great Vet. and Fair pricing. I have had my dogs in there for there yearly check-ups and was very happy. Then about a month one of my dogs was attacked by 2 Coyotes. They got me in even though they were booked up. They could have sent me to an emergency Vet, but they didn't. They Fixed up my dog and saved me a ton of money compared to what I would have paid at an emergency Vet. Thanks guys. :) your the best.
No help!! I am not in your files because you would not help me. I went to another vet, closeby. Your receptionist was very dismissive. No problem I found a wonderful veterinarian not far from you, who treated me with respect. I am from Montreal, I was on the road. I needed help. Too bad, you lost my business. Not sure what other people think about your front desk, but I was very unimpressed. Good luck!!!!
This clinic has been great so far in helping to take care of our cat who has a chronic respiratory issue that we have yet to be able to diagnose. When we started at this clinic, they did a very thorough job of looking through my cats records from our old out of town clinic so that they could make sure nothing got missed, but also so that they didn't end up re-doing any of the tests we had already done.
I've been so pleased with the vets at Harvest Hills Veterinary Clinic. My dog is having a really rough go of things but the staff here is so knowledgeable and really care about what's happening with my dog. They have worked with me every step of the way, providing me with all his records and anything I request. It's been a real comfort knowing that this team is on my dogs side in this.
Very professional and provide great insight to our pet's health and care. Dr. McCurdy and his staff have always shown great compassion towards our animals. Care isn't always about Cost, but the Value presented by its staff. They have always had great Vets and Vet Techs that support their clients. After 20 years they continue to offer our family pets tremendous value. Thanks so much.
I took my newly adopted dog to Harvest Hills Vet Clinic for the first time. Dr. Wall and staff were very friendly and caring. Dr. Wall was very thorough. I received a written health report of her visit via email which is good to have. I received a follow up phone call after my visit which isn't done in other places. I would recommend Harvest Hills Veterinary Clinic to others.
I just had my first appointment with my dog and it was an amazing experience!! Dr. Robertson is fantastic! My dog needed a few things done, and the vet did a complimentary nail trim and anal gland expression for my dog! This clinic has outstanding service, and such kindness. The front staff are very friendly and super helpful. I will be going to Harvest Hills Vet for now on.
Just brought my 3 cats in to see Dr. Kelsie Kearns. She was great with my cats! Sasha the tech that got all their bloodwork collected was great at handling them as well. My cats felt safe in their cute cat room! Thanks to the girls at the front desk as well that helped me carry them in. (Their hefty cats lol) Thanks to all at Harvest Hills Animal Hospital!
Over the past few months my four dogs have had a myriad of health problems and every time I have come to this clinic I’ve been treated kindly and respectfully. They remember my dogs and call up to check on them. It’s unfortunate I’ve had to come here so many times lately, but I’m grateful of the vets and staff here taking care of my precious fur babies ❤️
These guys are great! Took my fur-nugget there last week with minimal stress, great about COVID responsibility and keeping standard of service. SUPER accommodating when I went to the wrong VCA(also on Country Hills Blvd). Vet called me during pet's exam to discuss and keep me informed, very willing to answer alllll my many questions. Great job team!
We aren’t regular medical clients but we come because it’s very close to home for pet food and for miscellaneous grooming services for my senior dog. They are so accommodating and helpful and it really means a lot to have these resources close by. The hospital manager was really kind too. I think you are all very special for doing what you do
I LOVE LOVE LOVED them, this is my first dog on my own (ei: not a family dog) and they were very nice, my dog actually really enjoys going to the vet, they created a positive atmosphere for my dog, and I could tell they love their jobs, I found it very inexpensive too, compared to other vets that I've been to! overall a great experience!!!!!
A year ago the bald guy there wanted to put my cat down because he "think" my cat has cancer, cannot make it even in a week, my wife and I were really sad and cried. I took my cat to another vet for second opinion, turned out my cat doesn't have cancer at all. Don't completely trust them if you don't want your pets die too soon.
This place is absolutely amazing! They cared for our two dogs until their end of life. When it was time to say goodbye they went above and beyond for my entire family and even provided a second room where we could escape if the emotions got to be too much or it was scary. I highly recommend bringing your pets to this vet.
We have been taking out cat to Harvest Hills Vet Clinic ever sine we got her two years ago. We love the Vets and the office staff. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. They take very good care of our cat. I like being able to book online, and getting reminders of when she is due for her shots. Great job everyone!!
I've always had very professional and accurate service at this clinic. I've tried other vets but always go back to Harvest Hills. I find the vets trustworthy and knowledgeable. They are a little pricier than other clinics but I find going somewhere I know my furbabies are in good hands is worth the extra money.
Dr. Kearns and all the staff are very warm, concerned about what is going on and always follow up after appointments. They are always kind and gentle with my Senior dog. I even recieved a hand written condolence card when my other Senior dog passed away. Dr.Kearns , the tech's, and vet nurses are amazing.
The staff is always very friendly no matter who you talk to. They are also very understanding and patient with my dog. She isn't always the easiest to handle but they cater to her individual needs to make sure her experience is just as good as mine. I would recommend Harvest Hills to anyone.
This is a fabulous vet clinic - they have been a part of our little dog Moka's world for 5 1/2 years now and we wouldn't take him anywhere else. Their kindness and caring is primary as they put Moka's health and well being first. He loves them all. Dr. McCurdy and the staff are terrific.
Thank you for making my cat feel comfortable and going the extra mile to ensure she was safe and as happy as a cat can get at a vet visit . With your care and expertise, today went easily great. Pansy is happy and more healthy. Again, thank you, Dr. Roberston, Lina and all of you! …
Even though I had never been to this clinic before, they got me in immediately when my little Ruby had an emergency. The staff were very welcoming and so caring. They put me right at ease and handled the problem quickly and professionally. I would definitely go back to this clinic!!
Amazing staff who care about both your pet and you. Everyone at this vet clinic seems to genuinely love and care for animals. No upselling or sketchy reccomendations to buy additional products either. I will drive across town to stay with this clinic as they go above and beyond.
Terrible vet and staff, Was lied to by two receptionists and hung up on. The vet only helps the animals he chooses too. If you care about your animal stay clear of this vet clinic. They have there own agenda and it's not helping the animals they took an oath to help.
Great experience. The vet, the staff were all so friendly. We had an appointment booked and didn't have to wait at all. The doc took her time explaining and clearing out our doubts. Got the vaccination done and Olivia(our lil pup) didn't feel it at all. Thanks guys.
We have been bringing our two dogs here for the 8 years we've lived in Calgary. We recently had to put one of our dogs to sleep. The staff have all always been efficient, pleasant - and latterly been very empathetic. I know our remaining dog is in very good hands
Thanks so much for a wonderful experience! I was greeted at the door and even though I was a bit early, they were ready to bring me to a room right away! There was a hand sanitizer station at the door, clear markings on the floor and clear separators at the desk.
We adopted a senior cat almost two years ago and didn't anticipate just how involved her medical history would become. The staff at Harvest Hills is always quick to respond to calls and answer questions and the doctors, Dr. Wall in particular, have been amazing.
Hands down, the best vet clinic we have ever been to. It’s truly all about the well being of your furry kid. All the staff from reception to the veterinarian are knowledgeable, kind and patient. We have Dr. Morris as our vet and we couldn’t be happier with her.
We love this vet! Everyone is kind and caring, very well educated and they ensure you understand everything. Our pups had surgery in janruary of this year and they were just the absolute best with her and us. I can't thank them enough for their care of our dog!
One of the best Veterinary Clinics in Calgary. The Dr.'s are very thorough and helpful. Knowledgeable and friendly. I feel that my cat is in good hands and is safe when I am there. The staff are terrific and go out of their way to assist you. love this place !
Leaving another review cause I simply can't stop giving these guys their well deserved praise. All the staff are so understanding and accommodating, I can't thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism. Best vets in the city in my opinion …
Always so accommodating and kind, as someone who has lived with pets for a long time and is recently a pet owner for the first time. Just so helpful and loving, helping me with the particular troubles of rescuing and with health problems when adopting
I have been going to Les for 20 years and have always received excellent care for all my pets. I most recently adopted a dog from the Dominican Republic who had a number of complications. They took great care of her and she is a different dog now.
Dr. McCurdy and his team are great and treat our dog like he is their own. The whole team works seamlessly and communicates the care plan for our dog, make the last few months easier to get through with our dog's health. Thank you for everything!
Awesome staff and always wonderful service. The prices are a little high from what I've researched, but its worth it for keeping my furbabies happy and healthy :) They have a dedicated cat room which keeps kitty comfortable during her visits.
This place is great if you get the right vet, as noted in other comments. I have Doctor Wall for my 6 year old dog and she is great with him, I never feel pressure to get unnecessary vaccines/treatments/etc. The prices are reasonable as well.
we saw dr. jess ouellet for our cat with a sore tooth. she is very knowledgeable and I felt her exam and diagnosis was thorough and well explained. the clinic itself was very clean and I enjoyed the open concept as it felt more inclusive.
I think for the most part they're good with animals but don't ever be late or you'll be met by one of the most sarcastic receptionists you'll ever met. Maybe they care about animals but much less so about people or their circumstances.
I am assured that my dog gets nothing but the best from everybody at this Clinic. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are taking care of my "baby" for more than ten years and I would never take her anywhere else.
I can't speak highly enough of the attention my cats receive from Dr Les McCurdy. He keeps very much up-to-date and is very caring and sensitive to the needs of my animals. I am very happy to have been his client for many years.
Dr. Tara & Dr. Les - Went in this morning for an opinion/help and left with such a sense of relief and a path. We are so grateful for your help, making us feel better about George's prognosis. Highly recommend this clinic.
I was so happy to meet Dr. Jess and the staff at Harvest Hills Vet Clinic. They were friendly and gentle with my dog. I really appreciated being able to stay with my dog, Vaya, while Dr. Jess took a sample from her leg.
My sheepdog and I love Dr. McCurdy and all the staff at Harvest Hills Veterinary Clinic! They do their best to accommodate the needs of my aging pet. Dr. McCurdy shows such empathy for pet caregivers and for the pets.
This clinic has always treated our dogs with the utmost care and concern. We will definitely continue our relationship with them, and feel very comfortable in recommending them to our friends with furry children.
This place is the cat's meow! ( See what i did there?) Seriously the staff are very friendly and very helpful. They answered questions for us we didn't even know we had and took excellent care of our little Lucy!
The Assistants and Technicians were super friendly and caring, and the Vet took her time explaining things to me and discussing any and all concerns and questions I had. I would definitely recommend this clinic!
My pup was really nervous and anxious at first. But by the time we were leaving, she was wiggling her tail. Guess she liked this place better than the place she used to go. Friendly staff and prompt service.
I had been taking my little dog Max there since he was a puppy. We have been going there for 12 1/2 years and they took amazing care of him right up to the end. I give so much thanks to the vet team there.
The kindness and understanding that we received for our little Moki was above and beyond. We were treated so well and Moki is now walking much better. I highly recommend Harvest Hills Veterinary Clinic.
Great service! They were excellent with my cat and called to follow up the next day. The vet took several of my calls asking follow up questions as well. Highly recommend. They are caring and thorough.
Every time my dog ruby goes here, they are always super considerate of how reactive she is, our budget, and any time constraints we ever have. This is the only Vet I feel comfortable taking her to.
The vets, techs and receptionists are all super friendly and very helpful whenever I bring my pup in or even when I call or email them w/ questions. I feel like my pup is in good hands with them.
Being a pet owner of both dogs and cats, I have been going to this clinic for over 10 yrs. Each time they have been helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding through the good times and bad.
Dr. Morris, Dr. Wall and Dr. Robertson are three of the best, most compassionate veterinarians you will ever meet. Always looking out for the best interest in the pet and owner.
This is the worst vet I have ever been to. She bullied my wife and child and made a very sad car vs. dog event even worse for our family. I would never go back to the clinic!!!!
Great staff friendly and helpful to any animal or person who goes there. Doctors and staff seem to love what they do so am comfortable going there knowing the care will be good
Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. They are very quick to refill prescriptions or answer questions/concerns when needed. Location has lots of parking.
I take my dog and cat here and I have never been so impressed by a vet in my life. The staff are friendly, informative, and have the biggest hearts for animals.
All the staff are very attentive. In our last visit the Vet was great he explained everything in detail and only charged us for a short visit, which was great.
Dr. Tijan is great. Not pushy, very professional and has expert advice. And clearly loves animals. I can definitely say my most recent visit was really great
