Be on venus restaurant yesterday. When was be possible I was be give 0 stars , the guy taking order very arogant and not nice to costomer. From enter you feel not welcoming. The food was arrive cold. Its bring you food you say thank you. Them nothing and going away. Carefull for sauces. We choice one garlic sauce and was itching my tonque another one was be full and testing normal. Im a chef and trust me sauce was be old. Small portion and chicken doner propa cold . We went there lotsow times before and was be excelent. Now is nightmare. Even on the top of grill is soo many spiders with spiders webb. Thanks God we will not go there any more. Much better food, costomers service briliant and clean is in VENUS RESTAURANT IN BOLTON. Always welcoming you with smile, care for you, and serve you delicious food. Very nice menagment. Avoid another one. Waste off money and the service there is take your appetite.
Date of visit: Saturday, 3rd June 2023 Restaurant / Cafe was the worst eating out experience I have ever had. (I have Over 2 decades of eating out all over the world) hence the need to warn future customers. The gentleman behind the counter taking restaurant orders clearly doesn’t want to be there. Treated customers with utter disdain. Food was below average and overpriced for the type of setting. There are far better Turkish cuisine restaurants in Manchester. Please go to Cheetham Hill or Wilmslow road for better experience, service and at very similar prices of Turkish cuisine. I won’t be going back there even if it’s the last restaurant in Manchester. I will rather give me money to a small takeaway that respects and appreciates its clientele.
This place is amazing. Couldn't manage without it. The selection of top quality foods from the eastern med' at incredible prices is worth a visit on it's own. But they have attached to the shop the most amazing takeaway/cafe serving authentic regional meals. The kebabs are to die for, but actually everything is fantastic. It's not super cheap, but I don't want it to be. The quality is impeccable and I want it to stay that way. June 2023. I really don't understand the negative reviews, I've never been disappointed and wasn't this time either. I've noticed a slight adaptation of the menu so chips are included instead of begging just a side, but still lovely. I wish it was closer.
Came in for a late lunch with a friend. Haven’t been for quite some time and the layout has changed to make more seating area I guess. Chose the mixed doner plate. Good sized portion. Meat and chicken were cooked well. Slightly on the salty side for my liking but overall a good meal. Drinks are a selection from the fridge so a simple affair. As the restaurant forms part of the supermarket, it makes a handy place to start before doing your shopping. Parking spaces around the corner but can be limited when busy. You might find more space further along the side streets.
Came here for more than 3 times so you can say I’m a regular customer here. However, each time I come here I don’t feel welcomed, the staff here are so arrogant and really don’t know how to communicate with customers except one Syrian waiter, he was nice to us. The only thing that makes me come back is the food, the food is nice and delicious. My favourite is the chicken shawarma, I don’t recommend the lamb shawarma. I have tried the Leeds Venus and they had the same treatment. I don’t know how the managers here treat their staff but definitely not nicely.
Overall it's a nice supermarket some products are very expensive compared to other shops, but one thing I must say some products are priced wrong & I've been experiencing this for years hence my edited review, for example sarikiz drinks labelled on shelf £2.49 when you get to the till they charge you £3.20, this is just 1 example of many times I've been over charged somebody is not doing their Job properly or either that or there just ripping ppl off... Big let down tbh.
this place has really gone downhill. dined here twice in the last few months, and come away really disappointed. kebabs are over cooked and chewy, rice is boring and it’s not cheap anymore. ordered hallumi for starter…4 thumb sized pieces came…on a huge salad. rip off! bread was stale. the only thing we love is the cacik. try the baklava in the bakery at the back of the supermarket….delicious! this makes up for the food in the eatery.
I have been here many times, the supermarket is filled with everything you could need, delicious freshly baked bread at the back of the store, every kind of cheese imaginable and everything in between. Do yourself a favour and go into the restaurant, the food is unbelievably awesome and freshly cooked to order. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would.
Amazing Eastern European supermarket. Lots of foods in flavours not found in the UK. Wonderfully fresh pastries (savoury and sweet ) and breads. So many different pickles, pastes and chutneys. Meats and sausages, cheeses galore. An absolute wonderland. Could not see any form of insect killer and noticed quite a few flies, hence the 4* rating but it won’t stop me from going again.
Went very late on a Sunday afternoon and most items had sold out. Had been previously and was fantastic! Warm bread and lentil soup with a wide array of shawarma dishes. This time ordered lamb chops and mix grill kebab, they did not mirror the quality of the dishes in my previous visit. Would still recommend and they have store attached to the restaurant for household items.
It's a venus foods supermarket,Restaurant next door also has very tasty food I don't think I need to explain what you can find. The bakery is awesome,They do great Turkish desserts and that foccacia pesto, tomato and goat cheese is amazing, there is a whole shelf stuffed with Nuts,But I can’t find some basic stuff in it Anyway it's a good place to go…….
10/10 bananas. I just had a banana from here and it was the most perfectly ripe banana I've ever had. It had a beautiful sweetness and the texture was melt-crumble in the mouth. I don't usually leave reviews for places, but the banana was so amazing I had to do something about it and my friends don't talk to me anymore!
Been there more than 5 times so far and will visit it over & over again! Greatest food I've tried ( especially the lamb shish and chicken wings ) the staff are great and friendly. The Hygiene is very good. The service is fast and perfect. The prices are affordable versus what you are getting! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
The food is good nothing wrong with it but staff very rude if you phone them and ask for products they are not wiling to help and look for products to help you find them just putting phone down strongly advising manager off the store in Bolton to pay attention at the staff how they behave very unprofessional
Fantastic super market selling all the best Mederterainan food and wears. they have a lovely take away next door that do the best shwarma in manchester by a long arm. the foos was fantastic and the staff were friendly and welcoming. a great place to eat, i would recomend to anyone.
Really bad service, food was poor, service was really slow. Didn’t even bring enough bread for two people. When we asked for more bread they just ignored us. Brought tea and didn’t even offer any sugar with it. Way overpriced and portion sizes were too small. Will never come back.
We came in for a happy family meal, what you may have there will not give you any joy. The resturant's staff are grumbly and hostile. They have no temper for anything. Will share a photo for what they sell a double chicken burger !!! And they get rude when just comment …
Be careful when you buy kofta and some other desert from the shelf, at first I thought everything is halal but unfortunately it’s not . other day I picked up kofta thinking it’s all halal , when I read the ingredients it was pork and beef ,
Bald Chap with moustache behind the counter extremely rude and arrogant! Food portion of mixed doner kebab plentiful but couldnt finish because appetite completely destroyed by awful attitude of above mentioned chap. Will not return back!!
Go to Restorant bit with family, Food was discussing, Had 2 iskender and turkish pide meat & cheese one. Guys behind counter shouldn't work there. Iskenkers bread was least few days old, meat was rubbish and souce (burned paprica) bitter
Fantastic supermarket with tons of goods from around the World especially Eastern Europe and Turkey. They have an in house restaurant, bakery, meat shop and and some amazing selection of sweets and mouth watering watermelon during summer
Chicken skewers with fresh bread was cooked well, hummus and olive oil was delicious and high quality, Turkish bread was lovely although quite thick Chicken donner was a let down, tasted and smelt old. Service is efficient and quick.
The bread is really amazing, sometimes it's not cooked properly, but it's si delicious. And the meat is a very good quality, i always get lamb or beef and i have never disapointed. I recommend thus place for meat and bread
I come here for the food. Great, fresh, authentic Turkish food in a friendly environment. Their lehmachan is the best ... Kofte are so soft they almost melt in your mouth ... Perfectly cooked each and every time!!
They have great Turkish, Persian, Indian products. Their own bread and sweets are high quality. Great place to visit after your Turkey holidays to pick up many items to reminder of their. Would recommend highly.
The worst food I have ever eaten. The kebab was very hard and dry. The chicken was very raw and undercooked. The rice was hard and dry. Very bad. I do not recommend eating here at all. One star is even too much.
Food is delicious.. Nice atmosphere Reasonable prices. Great collection of grilled kebab ..meat ..chicken and shawarma. They have great turkish tea which is the only choice for hot drinks section!
Definitely everything for every Eastern European, Middle Eastern or Asian person great range of products with more likelihood of finding actual organic fruit and vegetables. …
Fantastic restaurant and supermarket, has everything you would need, fresh, quick, friendly, welcoming and professional staff with delicious food, great parking space. Fantastic.
They don't pay taxes... Paid with card even when he encouraged me to pay with cash. When asked for receipt he gave me one where i essentially paid £0. Yeah, they don't pay taxes.
Great Turkish supermarket, will definitely be back to buy more. Great selection of Turkish breads, baklava and Iranian pastries. The fruit and veg all looked so fresh too
One of my favourite supermarkets in Manchester for Turkish snacks. The fresh bakery in the back in brilliant. Their borek is super tasty and baklava is also very good!
I go to the shop pick out an item and it is set at 1 pound then I go to the cashier it is turned into 3 pound. I hope you will fix this problem.
Supermarket review not restaurant. Bazaar of all food middle Eastern! Best for water mellons in summer. Lovely onsite bakery with Turkish bread.
Best sweet counter. Sells really good baklawa. If you are visiting, you have to checkout their sweets counter located at the back of the shop.
I been this Restorant unless tested mix döner, why Garip should be take good Turkish cheff froner staf they not understand Restorant …
Very good stock of particularly Turkish and Iranian foods as well as from across the rest of the middle East and also Eastern Europe.
This restaurant is going down and down and down.... waste of money! Used to be a lot better Rubbish fries , cold food , low quality
Love this place..My local for Turkish bread and feta cheese..They have so much variety of things in the shop and the bakery is great
Good place to buy few authentic turkish and Iranian items mainly. Also they have a restaurant under same name and food is tasty
Just had a browse and it looked like a nice change than the usual big supermarket stores that don't give a dam about you.
Great food. Best Turkish takeaway in Manny. And the food store is good. U must try the fresh bread baked on the premises.
Best place for turkish pizza. Also does great chilli sauces and international fruits in the supermarket section.
If you are from a slavic country, or Middle Asia, or Greek/Cypriot, definitely visit!!! They never disappoint.
Amazing for Turkish groceries, and the restaurant attached is fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Vegetables are rotten, baklavas are made of sugar and crushed peanuts and the restaurant is over priced.
Very nice supermarket.Good choice of food and drinks and the restaurant offers great food. …
Good quality food, frozen products With nice restaurant, good fresh produce and fresh bakery items.
*Halal* The food's really good and the portion size is huge. Must try if you love Turkish cuisine
