I have used Village Apothecary for years beginning when I lived in NYC and even now since living in other cities for a number of years. I would NEVER consider using ANY other pharmacy. Never. The folks that run VA are absolutely AMAZING. They are phenomenal people. They are like angels. And they treat their customers like family. They are not only incredibly kind but very knowledgeable as well as extremely dedicated to the service they provide their customers. They consistently go way above and beyond the call of duty. They go out of their way to find creative and effective solutions to prescription challenges. They are always a step ahead and I have never had to follow up because they are always proactive and on top of it. I quit worrying about my medications and prescriptions years ago because I know that the Village Apothecary team has my back . No other pharmacy even comes close to the Village Apothecary. I have recommended them to everyone I know and literally all Of those friends say the same thing that I do…”Wow…amazing!”. Yes, the Village Apothecary IS truly amazing.

This bastion of the village has always been the best pharmacy with the most personalized service I can possibly imagine I moved to the village in 1988 and was an individual with HIV In those days the warm response and CARE of your pharmacy meant a HUGE amount ! Through the years I have had both knees replaced , countless broken bones, hormone issues back surgery and a pulmonary embolism! Through everything the entire staff especially the pharmacists John and Norman have moved heaven and earth to get quick approvals and delivered immediately! In a time when massive companies are taking over the neighborhood drugstores, I for one can swear to the benefits of personalized service THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTAANT THAN YOUR HEALTH and having a local pharmacy full of friends who know and care for you is invaluable ... I’m not sure I would be here without them

I have a long happy history using this pharmacy. Unlike the corporate chains, Apothecary feels like home, a family business, part of the neighborhood. I've known some of the employees for 20 years. It's important to me that they know my health history, and what medications don't go with my usual regimen. Best of all, they help me navigate the bureaucratic, obstacle course that is the American health care system. I don't know about over their over-the-counter items, but when it comes to prescription drugs and their side effects & interactions, I know I'm in good hands. With so many "mom-and-pop" stores being swallowed up by big business & gentrification, it's important to me to support stores like Village Apothecary when they've earned my business.

I have been a loyal client for over 30 years...Village Apothecary has dealt with the underlying issues that involves much more than just filling your prescriptions. Insurance regulations/prior approvals/etc. I appreciate the fact that they call the doctor's office and handle that for me. I'm not sure the chain pharmacists will do that for you...you might be told..."you'll need to have your doctor's office send over a new prescription, you have no more refills" then come back later and pick it up....really? I could go on and on about my wonderful relationship that has developed over the years...take a walk over, look at their website, meet the staff. You'll see for yourself what a pleasure it is using Village Apothecary.

Stephanie was friendly and accommodating in gathering items for allergy and sinus issues I needed delivered to my daughter attending NYU. Her patience and personable communication skills were greatly appreciated. I will highly recommend Village Apothecary to all the NYU students and staff I encounter in need of a personal care pharmacy. It will be a top priority to stop in personally my next visit into the Village to shop Village Apothecary and say, "hello," and deliver a big, "thank you!"

Village Apothecary is a boutique high end and high touch operation. They just went through a major renovation that looks fantastic. What is best about them is their caring a knowledgeable staff! Big box pharmacies are not in the same league. They always make you feel like family. They always get prescriptions to me on time as promised. It is a absolute pleasure to see such a well run vibrant establishment.

Excellent, very personal service. A true neighborhood gem. It's so important to have establishments such as Village Apothecary in our neighborhood, ones that know their customers and have been here for them for years. And also the shop is very cute, with a very well-curated selection of medical and beauty products--from band-aids to Provençal soaps. It's also generally cheaper than the chain pharmacies.

Village Apothacary has been there for me thru thick and thin for the past 20 yrs. Their friendly service and “can do”attitude…along with their deep well of compassion… has kept me as a customer no matter where I lived in the city, where I traveled to or whatever emergency occurred. These guys and gals are worth more than gold. I only wish I could return the many many kindnesses they have shown me.

I was denied medication for my sick 13 year old dog. I was told by a woman named MITA said that due to a dosage change they would be unable to fill this script. After trying to tell her she was reading the script wrong I just left. She wouldn't listen. I call my vet an they confirmed the dosage was the same. Be careful check your scripts who knows what else has been misread.

They are the best…great customer service. They seem to be really invested in making sure I get everything I need and and get it on time. Always helpful working with my insurance and with troubleshooting issues if they arise, which is rare because they’re so on top of things. Good location…very pleasant atmosphere. Can’t imagine going elsewhere now.

I love Village Apothecary. I’ve been coming here for years. A Very friendly staff as well as they always have my script n vitamins. Local delivery offered as well. I love this “old fashioned” apothecary. I get to support a small local business. Extremely nice and caring people. Not a chain store loaded with locked cases you have to find someone to unlock when you need a simple staple like a bar of soap.

Less expensive than Walgreens/DuaneReade for many commercial items. Prescription drugs are most always in stock, while Walgreen is often out of stock. A wonderful array of specialty goods. Friendly & helpful full staff.
