I truly wish that I could give this Walgreen's no stars. This location states that it opens at 8am. This morning 11.01.22, I arrive about 8:20am and the store is still closed. So I see potential customers waiting, So I asked is the store open? They tell me, Yes it suppose to be open and that the young lady inside stated that She's the only one there and she don't have any staff or guards to open the store. Mind she's busy walking around on her phone, pretending to count the money and just doing nothing. She even had the Lay's vendor standing out there for about 30 minutes. She finally come to the door and let the Lay's Vendor in, still stating that we can't come in yet she's waiting on her manager. Seems like this young lady that didn't want to open the door, her name is Lee. Customers outside of the Walgreens waiting with me stated they always have problems with her, and that her attitude is nasty. And they even stated they go through this all the time with the Store not opening ON TIME!!! My thing is years ago I used to work for Duane Reade, doesn't matter if your Cashier is running late and I'm there I had to open the Store and take customers. I understand many things have changed since Covid, But it's how you say things! Have Respect and Apologize instead of coming to the Door with your Funky Attitude. As I was writing this review, The Store Manager called me because I called Corporate as I was waiting for the Store to open. Stating she couldn't open the store because of safety measures. And he's sorry for the Mishap, All that is fair. It's how she handled it, along with customers stating that her attitude is bad and how she handled this situation. First off she should have Apologized.... That she never DID!!!!! Next Stop, Email Corporate. Mind you, in the nice neighborhoods, they don't do this to them. They do it to us, because we allow it and don't take ACTION! I've done this to a Rite Aid Before, contacted corporate, gave my side and that RITE AID is closed TODAY!
My partner picked up a prescription for me from the pharmacy. Their records were incorrect and so I was given a more expensive prescription that I never should have been given and charged for it. It was 5x the price of what I needed. My partner didn't know it was wrong at the time and left with it, and I called the pharmacy when I found out. They won't issue a refund even though it was THEIR error, and the receptionist I spoke with was rude and snarky with me. I had called my doctor just before to confirm this exact prescription, and they gave me a detailed accounting of what they sent, so I KNOW it is the pharmacy's error. The pharmacy not only refused me a refund without any discussion, they also made no attempt to rectify this. They only told me that I should refuse this prescription going forward. Why?? Why do I have to do that? Even though they told me they've closed it, they said there are four refills left. The doctor said there are NO refills and it was a one-time prescription. It's on the pharmacy to deal with its mistakes, not me.
It makes sense why their rating is so low, and it is accurate. As someone who works in customer service, I understand the saying ”the customer is always right”; isnt a practice easy to apply and not always correct. That being said — When you have one active person at the counter, and you have a line, it doesn’t make sense to close the counter stating “going to lunch.” While I understand you need your break, I also waited over 30 mins to be helped; your lunch hour arriving because you are understaffed isn’t my issue. Mind you I have an express pass which doesn’t mean anything because that line is never open at this store. One line at all times, no need to use the app for express pickup. The right customer service thing to do is to have advised those already on the line who would be the last to be seen, AFTER HAVING ATTENDED TO THEM (because we were there WAY BEFORE your lunch) then go on your break. That’s proper customer service and protocol at any respectable establishment. Do better. I’ve transferred my prescriptions elsewhere.
This pharmacy is terrible. My prescriptions were moved to this location by Duane Reade, which had shut down. Several times I have gone to pick up my prescription only to be told it was not in stock and I should call before going into the store. Every time I have called prior to picking up my prescriptions, I am placed on a 30-45 minute hold, and I can hear someone picking up my call, then placing me back on hold. I had an issue with a medication that the pharmacists were saying my doctor needed to give prior authorization. For two weeks, the doctors assistant would call Walgreens to sort it out, then inform me she was placed on hold for an extended period of time, and eventually had to hang up because being on hold for so long interfered with other duties of her job. In the meantime, I had to go without my meds. Do yourself a favor and do not use this pharmacy.
This specific Walgreens is terrible. I am a huge Walgreens fan. Needed to come to this one as my local store was booked for boosters for the next 2 weeks. Came to this specific store out of available appointment times and now I understand why. No one should come here. It's absolutely filthy. I'm literally looking at people's gum that has been spit out on the floor and piles of dirt. They are understaffed. I've been waiting at the pharmacy for over 30 minutes with only two people in front of me and I had an appointment. I'm over hearing the woman the counter now whose prescription was supposed to be ready yesterday. They haven't even begun to fill it yet. Needed her insurance information again. It's really utter chaos in here, staff is rude and stressed out. The lines in the pharmacy and at the register are stupid. Honestly, this Walgreens should just be closed.
This is the worst location too shop. Lack of customer service, the staff is not friendly very unprofessional. An item was not placed in my bag, when I got home called the store, the store manager said she needed to view the cameras. She came back said the items is at the store. My went to get the item 2 days later a manager asked why now she’s coming for the item they don’t have the item , mind you it was already paid for so all she needed to do was pick the item up. I called customer relations I kept hearing a District Manager will call me in 2 to 3 days it’s now 2weeks now no one has yet to called. I will never have any of my family or friends shop at Walgreens ever. Now I will be emailing cooperate because this should have been resolved by now going onto a 3rd week with Walgreens having my money and I don’t have my item.
The only reason I go to this Walgreens location is because the pharmacy is walking distance from my house. The staff in the Pharmacy department are super nice and helpful and when I finally get up to the counter, or off hold on the phone, I've had nothing but great experiences with them. However, they are seriously understaffed for the amount of traffic this location gets. The store in general is in shambles. It is one of the dirtiest, saddest Walgreens I've ever been in. Unless they're planning on opening a bigger, new location somewhere else in the same vicinity, and closing this one down, they could really benefit from some basic renovations, routine cleaning, more staff, and possibly a new manager!
After being on hold for 25 minutes, I was hung up on when it was my turn to be assisted. Unfortunately, I can't rate this pharmacy highly at all. I've been using them for approximately 2.5 years and I have not had a good experience. It is somewhat of a staple in this neighborhood - the lines for both the pharmacy and regular checkout are always long. Regarding my prescription, I can go in physically or call ahead, it does not make a difference. Once, I had to wait over 6 weeks to get a prescription filled and I still can't tell you what the reason for the delay was. They are understaffed for sure. I'm sorry to say I do not recommend which is a shame because of its accessible location.
I would like to begin by saying as a valued customer you would think Walgreens carry’s a wide variety of products. Ooopp they don’t! To add, this Walgreens has been operating slow for some years now. I mean really slow. Most of the time there is only one cashier and you have to stand on a long line for about 10 to 15 minutes for less then 3 items The wait is simply ridiculous. I have been a cashier before in my life, and sometimes I be wanting to help the staff there just to get the line to move This Walgreens would be great if they had more cashiers, large selection of products and a self checkout for items 4 or less with security at watch
I will explain something, i see comments but do they really say the truth? Walgreens be gaving you good customer service but the customer really nasty not all of them but the mayor of them does. Rited close because of the thieves not because a customer call abd report it, get some information before you gave you ansome and liars comments if you as a customer come nice and gentle you will not get a nasty attitude from no employer i been standing here watching this lady yelling at the cashier because her car is not working. Not all employees nice but from 10 i cam get 8 good of them
This is the worst Walgreens ever. Cliff the manager was extremely rude and disgusting. He has no customer service skills for him to be a manager. He speaks to customers condescendingly and is a poor representation of management and the Walgreens brand. Will never come here to this store unfortunately my packages sometime go here. The Walgreens on Cortelyou & East 15th is a better Walgreens and treats customers kindly in addition to their practices and policies being customer friendly. Stay far away from Cliff and this store!
Customer service sucks. I was in line waiting for the cashier. The cashier by the photo department was dealing with a customer. The Indian cashier was waiting on the manager for a void and Nekiva the cashier by the door saw me waiting for 15 mins and choose to take the guy before me because they were friends. He just walk up to her and she cashed him! When I pointed it out she gave me a "so what"smerk. Thank God Rite Aid is a block away definitely not getting my money EVER AGAIN!
DO NOT GO THERE TO GET VACCINATED I REPEAT DO NOT GO THERE FOR VACCINATIONS I asked for the Pfizer vaccine and when I got home I was furious too see that I was given moderna. I had a feeling I should ask but I trusted that my instructions would be followed. That is the last time I make that mistake. If you do decide to go I recommend you ASK which shot the pharmacists are giving you because they won’t tell you.
THE WORST STORE. Always 20 ppl in line and only one check out clerk. If you want to waste 20 min of your life on a consistent basis then use this store. I have given up and use other stores for scripts as well as products. Also you will see people blatantly shoplifting items and walking right past security at the door. WORST WORST WORST. Get it together Walgreens this is unacceptable!!!
1st of all, i mostly visit here for Hallmark greeting cards...it's the only place i know that stock them & is fairly close by...it may not make a difference to most people but for me it counts... the pharmacy maybe crowded at times but the staff recognised this & will act accordingly to answer questions & ring up hour items without too much of a long wait...
This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been. Half of their merchandise is in locked cases which an employee needs to open for you. They don't do this in their other locations. (My guess is that they're biased against the people in the neighborhood). Good luck finding an employee to help you. They are always understaffed and their lines are always long.
Disgusting Customer service. Never ever answers the phone. The entire pharmacy looks in disarray and is messy. The workers are too lax and chill for professionals dealing with customer. However, this is their way of speaking on their opinion of the individuals in the neighborhood. They obviously lack respect for the members of this community.
I don’t want to complain as much as warn other folks - the pharmacy regularly takes several days to fill my prescriptions and sometimes only fills them if I show up in person or call (there is generally a line with both). My health issues are not life-threatening but this would be an issue for those with more serious conditions.
I have never, in more than two years, come here to pick up a prescription and have it be ready. Either the quantity is wrong, they're out of stock, or some other problem, but it's always the same: super long lines and no answers. Every time I have to come here it's an hour long odyssey, and I never leave with what I came for.
I order my mother's birthday card from the photo Department and they Canceled my order without my consent. This Walgreens is Super Slow .. Pathetic.. Never have enough people to handle the store Nasty Management and I don't know how they still have this store open This is BY FAR the worst store I've ever been in
I usually hate going to Walgreens because the line always long, but there was an associate there today named Jewells he was so nice, left the area he was working on to help me and Lord knows I needed it I was so lost lol but he was patient and helped me so nicely keep him‼️‼️‼️
Don’t have your packages held at this location….. I usually have my FedEx packages held at this location and never had an issue. However, I went for my package today and was told it’s not there. FedEx said it was scanned in since yesterday but they don’t have it. Unbelievable.
I had an emergency today that only a couple of stores could help with. After making wait so long they just told me that they could help me and were so unprofessional with communicating it to me. I was very upset with there service. Don’t waste your time going there
I called the store seeking the pharmacist help and all I received was a long lengthy hold time. After being on hold so long the call picks up only to be put back on the que for a lengthier wait. No. One picks up the phone at this store. Very bad customer service.
Anyone who gives a rating of five stars is lying. Because of the rudeness of the staff and their lack of consideration for customers, I will never send another prescription to that particular pharmacy. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE They need to be fired all of them.
The absolute worst… going through a serious diagnosis and have to wait nearly an hour to get someone on the phone , just for them to tell me my meds might not be there yet, and to call back later…. You’ll also be disconnected while on hold for over 45mins smfh !
the slowest checkout line / experience i’ve had in my life, something about this location that checkoyr lines take their sweet time, always expect at least a 15-20 minute wait before checking out, put in a self-check out, im sure i could check myself out faster
Absolute worst Walgreens you can visit. Staff does not know what they doing, always a mega long line with one register barely serving it, always dirty and messy. Prescription pick up is a guaranteed half hour wait, if they have it right. Worst Walgreens ever.
This place is so unprofessional when I order online I wait at the photo counter for more than 20 minutes before I get help!! And when you finally get help you’re greeted with a nasty attitude no hello how are you today who hires these people?!!
The only pro about this store its convenient, however, this location lacks customer service, lacks staff, has products always out of stock, and an epic line. I personally prefer the location on E. 21st or Utica if they weren't out of my way.
GO to the 724 Flatbush Avenue location! Lines are always long. The pharmacy especially is the worst. Usually you can see the pharmacist and the back in most stores. But this one is closed off, leaving the employees do disappear for a long
Do not get your prescriptions sent here. They take forever to fill and probably won’t even take action unless you call. I’ve been waiting on a script for a week now. I finally just transferred to a different pharmacy. Awful.
This store is somewhat a mess & most products aren’t priced. Beware of a long line + make sure your points is applied from their sign up somehow they couldn’t find my #/ information? Robbed my $ with false advertisement.
Go to any other pharmacy if you can. Takes SO long to get a prescription filled and picked up. No matter when you go, you’re going to wait for at least 45 minutes to an hour, and your prescription may not even be there.
Worst pharmacy I have even been to. Staff is very confused on a lot of simple processes. They tell you prescriptions are ready, then when you arrive they aren't or had an issues processing. Very bad customer service.
Honestly, one of the female pharmacists here really helped me with a complicated script mistake and figured out how to get me the medication I needed while explaining to me how to navigate it. Very grateful.
