Just the absolute worst...Let's start with the quality of the food products. There are ALWAYS at least four to six food products on one shelf that look like they were just thrown into the back of the truck and smashed with heavier products. When I brought it to the manager's attention, she was rude and dismissive about it. She also lied and said they never sold products like that. Which is definitely not true because I had been going there for almost a year. Now we move on to the pharmacy. If you want to be able to pick up your prescriptions on time, do not go to this walgreens pharmacy. If you want a pharmacist who cares, do not go here. My doctor battled the "head" pharmacist for days to be able to get me the prescription he ordered for me. They didn't want to let me have my own prescription because they thought I was picking it up too early, even though it was a new script with new directions and everything. We tried it all. And let me tell you, this is a medication that if not taken, can send you to the ER. This pharmacy is always understaffed, or the staff there is just lollygagging around while a line for the one open register gets longer and longer. Plus they will tell you your script will be ready in 15-20 minutes, but you end up sitting there for 30-45. Do not visit this place. Skip it. Go to the CVS on 30th for your food/convenience products, and a local pharmacy for your medications. This place is a nightmare.
Whatever you do never go to this location late at night just because you're bored and looking for something that you're not going to find anywhere else because nothing else is open 24 hours. You'll be accused of stealing automatically from the rude manager whom we assume gave us a fake name but is known as Matt* despite him asking us to leave our purses unaccompanied by ourselves with all of our personal belongings at the counter "because the camera is there" he refused to tell us his last name when we wanted to file a complaint against his unprovoked accusatory behavior. Only when I asked about others being asked the same and mentioned I felt we were profiled did "closing the purse" become an option suddenly. But my bad Matt... I hope your need to close some purses and automatically accuse someone of theft without cause was satisfied tonight.
I was discharged after three days at The hospital. The hospital sent my meds (including a controlled substance pain med) to my usual pharmacy, but that pharmacy was closed on Sundays. I first tried going to H-E-B since it was closer to me, but they were horribly rude and condescending and treated me like I was drug-seeking. They outright refused to help me. So I went to the nearest Walgreens that was open. There was a line when I got to the pharmacy, but despite the line, within ten minutes I had all three pharmacy staff calling the hospital, my insurance, and the prescribing doctor’s office trying to problem solve on my behalf so I wouldn’t have to go back to the hospital. They truly went above and beyond the standard of customer care and after a few long and difficult days, their kindness meant the world to me.
I wouldn't recommend making an appointment for a flu shot here because they are not ready for your appointment time at all and treat you like a walk in anyway. We were 5 minutes early for our appointment and waited about 40 minutes for the shot on a very tight schedule day. And they didn't even tell us after we told them we'd scheduled an appointment that they wouldn't do anything to try to rush, they just let us sit there. Idk why Walgreens even offers an appointment option (and tells you to be early!) if you wait 45 minutes anyway. It just makes people who are trying to schedule their day upset and late for everything else, instead of expecting to wait forever like any other walk-in situation. And the girl that walked in five minutes before my shot, was out in ten minutes with no appointment!
I am so tired of fighting with this pharmacy. They constantly try to sub one of my Rx's for a generic, which I cannot take. There's a note in my file that I CANNOT take that generic, yet every month I have to call, talk to a tech, and explain that they've made an unacceptable substitution. And almost every month (with one exception - shout out to the only dude in the pharmacy that has any customer service skills) I get a rude, dismissive response akin to 'all Rx's are the same' as if there's no reason for me to be getting all worked up over nothing. I get passed along the phone line, hung up on, dismissed and now I'm done. Transferring my script and not looking back. Please, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
We came in today to take passport photos for some government applications. I needed 8 photos and my wife needed 2. Here is the ridiculous part. Walgreen charges $15 for every set of two photos. (CVS charges $15 for the first set of two, and $3 for each additional set of two) We were not told that until the first two sets of the photos were printed out. We asked if they could give us the digital copies so we can print the rest of the photos else where, and we were told they ran out of usb sticks. We asked if they could send us the digital copies through email, they said they could not At the end, we had to pay $81 for 10 photos, and I feel ripped off.
Asked the pharmacist for medicine recommendations to nurse a cold, and he told me I should eat properly and exercise… first off, hard for him to know what my food or exercise regime is like considering he didn’t ask ANY questions, second of all, going to the gym while you have a cold is NOT good medical advice. Also, none of the pharmacy staff wore face masks… we still have a pandemic going on thats disabling millions of Americans spread through the air, and now we have an outbreak of respiratory illnesses and these people are consulting with sick people, and they’re not wearing masks? Definitely won’t be coming back here
Came to get vaccinated, the pharmacy was amazing. But the people working the front loved to practice discrimination on me. I bought some products after I received my vaccine, then asked for the bathroom code, was denied( they said they didn't know it even though they worked there) , and then late escorted personally to the bathroom after. If you want your daily dose of discrimination come to this Walgreens! Also the same women who escorted me yelled at my two year old because she accidentally dropped a product, saying "your messing up my stuff". You better believe I'm calling corporate when you talk to my child like that.
I had an incredibly positive experience with the pharmacy at this Walgreen’s. I am grateful to not be sick that often, but I’d been the sickest I’d been in my life last 2 months ago. I went to get medication from my local Walgreen’s and had no idea how to pay for my medication through the internet. A man with yellow rimmed glasses in the pharmacy helped me download the app, link it to my account, and pay for my medication. Which he really didn’t have to do considering he is a pharmacist and not tech support. Thanks so much for your help, it really helped me out during that time.
This is probably one of the busiest stores I've been to. I got my flu shot there this week and I did have to wait but all the information they gave me was accurate. The pharmacist was friendly as he gave me the shot. I continue to go there despite there being another one closer on the east side but they are not as friendly. _______ I originally rated them four stars. This new lower rating has to do with their phone system and not being able to get through. Further, Walgreens as a company is not paying their taxes. They are putting their money in offshore accounts.
Really Walgreens? You expect me to remember a zip code that I linked with my so-called rewards card from 10 years ago in order to redeem the rewards that aren't really Rewards? When all you do is just mark up the price on items to make you think that you're getting a discount. Why don't you just lower the price so we as customers don't have to jump through hoops and hold up the line while we tried to remember what ZIP code we had associated with the stupid card! Taking my business to Walmart and Target where they don't require such.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. The pharmacist Alice is RUDE, condescending and refuses to abide by lawful prescription refills. I'm not sure why she still has a job with how terrible her attitude is. I've never come across such a horrible human being. If you plan on getting medication, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go to this pharmacy, they will treat you like dirt and have the gall to think they're right. Literally, just shut down already - there are nothing but horrible reviews here. That or FIRE ALICE - she's the worst.
This Walgreens location is not open 24 hours in spite of what it says on the website. The store closes at midnight and the pharmacy is open til 10 pm M-F; weekends they close at 6pm, I think. The other thing I don't like about the store is that they don't have any carts or baskets You can only buy what you can carry to the register. The manager told me it's because people steal. I told him there's much better stuff to steal at Walgreens in the carts. ;) Other then that it's a nice, clean store.
Came here for passport visa photos for me and my wife. The photos that the person took were rejected by the visa office due to glare and the second pair was rejected due to background not being clear enough. Got the photos redone in India for the visa interview and the image quality, clarity were incredible. If I put the two photos side by side the difference would be night and day. Wasted $30 odd for two overpriced pairs of low quality photos here for no reason.
Terrible. Both the cashier and manager refused to honor my store credit card, issued to me by this same store. The manager insisted there was nothing she could do. Well, I called the number on the back of the card, and yes, there WAS something she could do: issue me a new card since the strip on the back of my card apparently was damaged. She kept saying she could not issue me another card. Corporate told me otherwise. I will never shop at this store again.
Superb service at the pharmacy! I was visiting from Houston and needed a prescription refill quickly. However, my PCP accidentally requested it at the location back home. I called this location and they were incredibly helpful in getting the prescription transferred and filled. When I arrived there seemed to be an issue with my insurance, but Lali (drive up pharmacy) remedied the issue swiftly and kindly. Also, my pup appreciated the treat! Thanks, y’all.
please use another pharmacy if you can. They were very rude to me when I tried filling a prescription for my wife. I gave them my insurance card but they didn’t want to call to verify because they closed in a minute. I understand you may be tired, but you are still in the costumer service industry. If I am trying to get a prescription filled and I get in before you close, the right thing to do is serve me and not be lazy.
Scheduled a COVID booster & flu shot with a 2 week wait. The night before they call me and leave a voicemail telling me the appointment is cancelled. Rather than reschedule the appointment promptly they tell me to do so on the website where there's another 2 week wait and no availability at this location. I don't know if the problem is at the store or corporate, but absolutely useless for vaccination purposes.
Word of advice- don't put all of your sale display tags on the shelves the day BEFORE they go on sale and then not even honor the sale due to your laziness to put up the tags closer to closing time. Poor decision making by management. If you already have it advertised during the middle of the day, then it should be honored, and maybe you would not have lost a purchase. Just my opinion, have a nice day!
My husband went to pick up my sons prescription after his urgent care visit. He was visibly in line, when 9:00pm closing time came, the pharmacy shut their doors and walked away. Didn’t help him, guide him to a 24 hour location. Just flat out ignored him and acted like he wasn’t there. This was an urgent prescription for a baby. The worst customer service. That’s why we normally use capsule!
The pharmacy staff are so caring. I came in for some travel vaccinations which I didn’t realize wouldn’t be covered by my insurance. Michael helped me figure out which vaccines were most crucial and even tried a variety of coupons to ensure I got the best price. Ended up getting 4 shots which were done well and without pain. They were even very nice about my obvious anxiety about needles.
I live two minutes from the store on Justin and Lamar, but it's worth the trip for the fast, convenient pharmacy service and because it's open 24/7. Walgreen's is my drug store of choice because I save so much money with my Balance Rewards card. I'm always pleasantly surprised at the savings when I check out. I also save with my prescription card. I just can't lose. I love it!
I was there at 8:52 on Monday night on 05/22/2023 and it was closed... normally I wouldn't be mad but now I have to explain to my doctor why I'm not taking the medication that makes me function. It's going to screw up my routine and also my daily medication. If I have to go to the medical hospital I'll be Suing whoever was there 05/22. This is not acceptable by any means...
To tell the truth Walgreens is not a place to get something to eat maybe something to snack on some cold drinks definitely awesome hygiene products yes and prescription medicine and maybe get a COVID booster shot or tested they always provide you with good service,. What else could we need ? Let Walgreens know and they will probably, provided for you and all of us to !
I recommend against this pharmacy. Note that calls are processed through a remote call center, rather calling the actual pharmacy. Remote call center with their “automated system” may tell you your prescription is in stock available or filled for you. The truth is the pharmacy itself may not have filled your prescription or even have the medication available.
Thank you to the 2 employees at the pharmacy who worked on the evening of 01/02. I’m desperation of needing my prescription filled and it being a Sunday to where the pharmacies closed early this one closed at 9 PM and the person who assisted me over the phone was able to transfer my prescription from the Walgreens my prescription was originally sent to.
Absolutely disappointed in this pharmacy. Your front desk people need to be retrained on how to communicate with folks coming in for their hormones. ESPECIALLY when a patient's insurance information is correct and you still choose to disregard their name/pronouns. Do your job correctly or just leave the field with your prehistoric biases.
I only use this Walgreens for the pharmacy and I've never had an issue there. There has been some rudeness on the phone in the past but only once and everyone else has always been super helpful. I like that they remind me multiple times when my prescriptions are ready because I do really easily forget these things.
Literal garbage. Always busy, pharmacists are useless, and no one is here to help. My prescriptions are never filled, and when I go through all the proper channels, I still have problems. They don't want to help and don't care. I've never had problems with the actual employees, but the pharmacy is utter garbage.
So sad this is the only place open late night. Horrible customer service. Multiple times came to get things and the refrigerator is broken. Which I understand is not the employee fault. My issue is the rudeness and them being unwilling to even speak to guest. Or do simple task they get paid for.
I lost the receipt for an item that I purchased and was told I couldn’t return it because I didn’t join their loyalty rewards program when purchasing. They refused to use the card I purchased the item with to find the transaction and refund me—a capability just about every retailer has.
After having horrible experiences at CVS, I switched to this Walgreens and have never looked back. They email to remind you to refill your prescription and all you have to do is reply. They are so friendly and always try to find coupons or deals if the price of the prescription is high.
Pharmacists is condescending and rude for no reason. He constantly sighs as if he’s having a bad day. I don’t get why he doesn’t work somewhere else if he hates his job. He can do everybody a favor including himself and quit. No one needs to be spreading that kind of negativity around.
Kind staff and convenient hours, but their dairy case has been out of commission for 3 months. Since I don't drive and this store is the only business within short walking distance from my house to buy milk and eggs, they have certainly lost most of my business since that happened.
Open 24 hours, every day. As many people at 10 pm as you'd expect during the day. Pleasant, helpful employees. Good range of choices, quality. Anything you suddenly realize you need but the store is closed, they probably have. Good cold a/c! Will go again.
This is my favorite Walgreens. The staff are very friendly and the pharmacy provides quick service. Duncan the cashier is quick and friendly. It's nice to see a cashier that makes you feel welcome, especially in these uncertain times.
Made a purchase of at this location in March. The clerk was having technical difficulties so I went to the ATM and paid in cash... Turns out he charged me twice to my card refunded once on my card as well. That's some shady stuff.
I had to come on here and give recognition to Donnie! As I checked out, Donnie was so kind and the conversation was quite warming about being your authentic self. People like Donnie are what makes this city such a beautiful place.
The cashier Duncan is wonderfully charming and efficient. This is the best customer service I've ever gotten, easily. Truly the Louis Vuitton of shopping at Wallgreens. Give her a raise if you know what's good for your store.
Fix your restrooms. I go to a class 2 blocks from here and always stop to get a snack and drink and potty before class. In 8 weeks your restrooms have been open 3 times. Now I go to a gas station for my snack and drinks.
Donnie at the registers is a gem of a human and made this the best Walgreens experience of my life. The rest of the store is, well, a Walgreens. Not sure why anyone would need to read a review about one.
This cashier guy is rude. I don't know his name, but he was a caucasian with dark brown hair and worked at 8/20 around 11pm. If his supervisor/manager is reading this, please re-educate him.
It's a Walgreens, it is what it is, but the crystals guy who works at the checkout is such a ray of light and he always brightens my day when I see him! It's nice to see a friendly face.
This is a good pit stop for small things Walgreens got the basic necessities. They always have good deals going on! But avoid the cosmetics lady she’s super rude
I’ve been a customer for 5 years. Now they need 4 days to fill a prescription. Something easy like eye drops, that are already in the bottle.
This place is made of gold. If you have ever asked yourself, ‘Is this place full of great Americans?’ The answer here is a resounding yes.
Fancy new coolers with the wildly unnecessary digital screens are broken down 9/10 times. Go somewhere else, maybe CVS.
Paid $50 of merchandise. Wont let you use the bathroom. Closed it for the night 2hrs before store closes.
Staff is a little slow but points for keeping it 24.7
I’m very pleased with the staff so far. Keep it up!
