I had my doctor send my adderall prescription in earlier this week and every time I called to see if it was ready I was told they hadn’t received the prescription yet. I called back several times over the next couple days and checked the website as well but I kept seeing they hadn’t received my prescription. Finally Friday night I call back again and they tell me they actually did receive my prescription but they don’t have any adderall. I understand there is a shortage but the fact that they waited until Friday night to tell me they were unable to refill my prescription seriously ruined my entire weekend. Adderall is a controlled substance, I cannot transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. And my doctors office is closed on the weekends so I was unable to get a new prescription. I work full time on the weekends so I have had to work not only completely unmedicated (If you have ADHD you know how difficult this is already) but while also going through withdrawals because this situation caused me to have to abruptly stop my meds cold turkey with absolutely no warning. The withdrawals have been absolutely horrible and this was 100% preventable. I am completely done with Walgreens after this experience. I understand there is a shortage but they should have told me immediately that they had no way to fill my prescription, I could have gone to another pharmacy, I could have discussed solutions with my doctor, etc., but they kept me waiting multiple days and wasted all the time I could’ve used to fix this. Absolutely unacceptable, they really do not care at all.
Pharmacy Staff are super friendly and helpful. I've been there a bunch of times and they've been awesome everytime. They're actually much faster than CVS down the street. The only thing I would say is if you go to the urgent care next door make sure you get a paper script cause no matter where I go to fill it, it takes a bunch of time for it to cross over cause there's something wrong with the Urgent care's EMR system so they won't get the script for a while otherwise and you'll end up having to wait for it to show up in the system. But I learned my lesson so when I need something immedietly I always get a paper script and the ladies over at Walgreens are super fast and super nice. They even took the time to help me find the equivalent cheaper medication once over the counter which saved me a bunch of money and when my doctor accidentally screwed up and called in the wrong medicine that I was allergic to they spent half an hour trying to get a hold of him for me and by the time I went to grab a drink from the fridge and made it back they had everything ready for me :) I definitely am going there everytime cause if the pharmacist hadn't been paying attention I totally would have took that antibiotic and ended up on a breathing machine no thanks to my doctor.
The Pharmacy is terrible! I have been a customer for 5 years and it has gradually gotten worse. Last month the man on the other line was extremely rude, dismissive and clearly agitated before hanging up on me. Turns out, it was their call center so they are all in bad moods and don’t care about customer service. Walgreens pharmacy apologized and said they have received multiple complaints...great then use a different service! In the same experience I was unable to get my prescription for a week due to a glitch in their system. My doctor who is only in 2-3 days a week had to call them and send a new prescription...so I go without my medication for a week because of their screw up..doesn’t seem fair. Now this month, I call in to get the same prescription filled and after holding for 5 minutes they say I have to call back tomorrow to fill it because that is the date the doctor has down for the fill date. I have called early plenty of times and they fill it on the fill date and I pick it up then, never have I had to call on the exact date to fill. I’m over them! Switch pharmacies for next month! 2 stars because I have not had a bad experience with the store. Actually the lady with long blonde hair is super sweet!
Austin has over built in the past 3 years triple the people and this store has not adjusted to the volume. Medications, run out. The techs quit due to the stress, the drive in window is often closed, due to staffing. Quality has become nonexistence. EXPECT 30 MIN INSTORE WAIT TIMES. Same for window when it is open. Some techs are just rude and condescending. And this past week I made 5 trips for two medication. Either not ready, or the phone in prescription did not register the meds. But that's not what made me angry. Canceling out a current prescription, and filling it with a prescription from 4 years ago and with another doctor on my account. These kerffules are going to get someone killed. The tech on tuesday snapped at me because I could not remember how to spell the name of my husband medication, last month his diabetes medication was out of stock, I again came in everyday for a week to pick up his insulin. Only to be told they were out of stock. Had been all week . But they neglected to tell me during the other 4 visits. The pharicist needs to get involved. His career is at stake when someone dies due to the chaos and loss of quality of service.
Rough experience trying to print invitations. The staff tried to help, but ultimately it was a disaster. The first trip resulted in them handing me a box and charging me for my order. I assumed they were all they there. I was back 20 min later when I realized they had only given me half more order. After discussing with the cashier and eventually the manager, they said the other half wasn’t available and they couldn’t reprint. They said they we would have to resubmit and they would print as they didn’t have supplies. But they said they would make a note internally and we wouldn’t have to pay upon picking up. Absurd already, but spending an hour was grating so I left. A week later we had resubmitted and returned to pick up. At this point they had only printed half of the remaining half. There was no note about not paying. They didn’t have paper to print the rest. They did eventually refund. Another hour at Walgreens, still without my order. At this point I realized I could’ve designed the invites, bought a printer, got it from Amazon, and printed my invites. Lesson learned
I called and was told my prescription was on backorder and unavailable elsewhere. I was quoted 1 day and that I could just come in and pick it up. Last second I was told they would call me. 2 days pass and my prescription isn't in. A 3rd day passes same thing and I've called and checked at this point. 4th day and I decided to call another store. Great, it's been in stock the whole time here, and she tells me it's also in Stock at my first location. Great! I rush to the first location and she tells me it's still on backorder with the most annoyed look. She gives me attitude the whole time and basically rushes me out of there while trying to fill my prescription. So now I still have no prescription and need to call the new store again. Great, I call them, another 20+ minute hold (by the way each time I call it's 15-20 minutes to get someone on the line) and have to get myself back to other parts of my day. Very frustrated I will be leaving a written email complaint as well as calling their corporate hq.
Rishma that works in the pharmacy was the most helpful employee I’ve ever interacted with across industries but definitely at Walgreens. I lost my job during the corona pandemic and was worried that my health insurance would not cover essential medications. Without me prompting, She assured me that I never have to worry about getting my prescriptions because she had various channels to work with that will provide me with what is required. Within a five minute phone call she had give me three options and let me know that I or my prescription manufacture representative could personally contact her anytime and she would work through whatever billing issues that come up. I think this is the only review I’ve ever written because I felt that was the best customer service I’ve ever received so thank you Walgreens for having such an awesome employee and extra bonus she has a lovely British accent
Worst pharmacy EVER!! Drop off 2 of my medicine i was told i was not in the Walgreens system i told him how is that i get my inhaler from Walgreens he kept saying uhhhhh nope dont see you and kept saying ummmm ok yeah there it goes so he said they will be ready at 8:30pm i get there at that time and only one was ready. I asked him where is my other one he said i didn't give him 2 i jus have him 1. I told him i know what i gave you and i gave you 2. And he jus kept giving me attitude so He goes to the back and finds my other one then says i forgot you did give me 2 and it well be ready in 20 mins. I told him are you serious i dropped off both together so i can have both at the same time. Now i have to wait more. Smh.. I jus told him that was the last time i go there again.. And asked for my paper he said he said no but i grabbed it anyways.. I'll stay with my Walgreens on stassney..
Worst Walgreens in the world. Why isn’t corporate changing this place? You cannot ship anything here even though they are supposed to. You can’t take passport photos even though they’re supposed to. The employees are like deer in headlights when you ask them a question. They radio each other and then radio each other and ask each other questions and then will come up to you and say “…uhhh that person is outside right now…”. And I say, what does that mean? Are you unable to do that job because they’re outside? “…oh well it’s really busy right now…” It’s comical. They don’t even know how to be honest and say “I’m sorry (we don’t know what we’re doing and no one has trained us.)” There are 2 patrons in the store. Where is management? I’ve tried this place twice and vow to never come back. Read the other reviews. Seriously… worst Walgreens out.
I had a photobook to be processed to this Walgreens, and to my surprise when I went to check on it at the location, the Photo Center is completely shut down. Unfortunately, online it was not distinguished that the photo center was not available and if I didn't go to the store I would've been waiting forever. However, I'd like to give a special thanks to Jada because she was so patience with and made sure to help me get my order canceled because it was too late for me to cancel online (what's with that short window to cancel?) Even though she had long lines to get through, she made sure that I was taken care of and I greatly appreciate her for heeding to my concerns! Super appreciate superstar Jada, but... Walgreens... would definitely be nice if that information was better communicated with the online platform.
***This is NOT about the walgreens store itself and the staff that works in the retail part** However this IS about the pharmacy and their staff. I’ve never dealt with such a difficult pharmacy? Why are y’all so rude to people just calling about their medications? It’s not our fault you have a bad supplier and are always out of medications. Don’t be surprised when people call multiple times a week to check on their prescriptions when you FAIL to fill them. Not only that but they always take forever, even for a quick pick up and you payed ahead of time. The hours are always different. For anyone reading this, I HIGHLY recommend switching to Martin’s Wellness/Lamar Plaza Drug Store. I was shocked by how kind, helpful, and FAST they were. Walgreens truly isn’t worth the headache.
After moving back to our home on the East Side last month from Buda (where I used & loved CVS), I decided to try the new Walgreens on E. Riverside, because it was closest. My issue is with the pharmacy. I've never had to produce a physical ExpressScripts insurance card, and in fact, was never issued one. CVS just called ExpressScripts to verify my coverage. The young woman at Walgreens told me I needed to call ExpressScripts and get my information. Wow, huge difference in service. I immediately drove over to CVS on S. Congress & Oltorf and got stellar service! They even greeted me when I walked in the door like my CVS in Buda always did. Another thing...why did Walgreens not build the front door accessible to the parking lot?! Bad building design!
This particular Walgreens pharmacy is number one from the last. The pharmacy technician looks at your face while you are right in front of the drive through window hoping to get your urgent medicine after staying in the slow long line of cars for almost 20 mins and, in such massive heat of Texas summer time and surprisingly, he shuts down the pharmacy by pulling down the metal guard right in front of your praying eyes. Why? Because it's 1:30pm and the pharmacy lunch time. This branch doesn't postpone the lunch even for two minutes unlike what you have seen with other pharmacies! Yeah, their lunch is more important than your medicine.
I despise writing poor reviews, especially when it's clear I'm merely piling on given the hordes of other single-star feedback, but enough with this place. The difference between my excitement when this location opened years ago near my home and my disappointment in several recent visits is making me find a new pharmacy. This Walgreens location seems to close at random hours without notice. The drive-through is shuttered more often than not. The shelves are mostly empty. What was once a convenience is now a headache because getting the occasional prescription filled here takes multiple trips and a big batch of hassle. I'm out!
Never going to ever step food in this Walgreens again. Yesterday I came to get money from Western Union and I had enough time but the kiosk wasn't working so by the time I downloaded the app and signed in and set it up on my phone it was 9:00 exactly. Usually with HEB you just give them the code and it's no problem. Today I get here and once again I had enough time, and I had it setup through the app but Victoria, the manager refused to come back to do the transaction because she decided to close the drawer down early. I thought Walgreens was known for good customer service. Not anymore. My HEB would never do this.
No desire to help whatsoever. Tried shipping a package through their in store service and was told they needed the shipment barcode so I went to Office Depot to print that out (since I don’t have access to a printer) and returned to Walgreens only for them to tell me now that they instead need the full shipping label and can’t print it out for me even with the scannable barcode in hand. They print photos, receipts, cards, etc and can’t even print a simple shipping label or offer any help. Terrible service and direction. I recommend going to literally any other FedEx or even ups if given the option.
This place has gone from the best place to get your meds, to the worst place. Can’t count on the drive thru being open. So, you sign up for there Express Pass scam do to limit mobility. After standing at the Express counter for 20 minutes, and having to ask for assistance to be told; Oh, we aren’t doing that today. So back to end of the line. Your customer service sucks, you see someone clearly in pain with a walker, maybe mention to them you chose not to accept express pass and take down your promotional “Skip the Line. Next time”. Sign up for our Express Pass Scam!! You can do better!!
I have had my fair share of less than stellar experiences here (mostly long waits), but I had an experience last night with the two women at the pharmacy that I had to leave a 5-star review for. I had a prescription sent in around 9:15pm that was urgent and I needed ASAP. I contacted the pharmacy because I knew that they closed at 10pm, and after explaining my situation, she told me if I stopped by my prescription would be ready. I ran in 20 mins later and they had my prescription ready for me! Absolute life savers. I wish I would have grabbed their names. Keep up the good work!
If I could give this place zero stars I would. After seeing so many negative remarks about the staff, I know I am not alone when it comes to having a horrible experience at this location. The female pharmacist that handed me my prescription wanted to hand it to me without a bag. I asked if she could put it in a bag. She got upset about it and with my hand reaching out to grab the bag she dropped it on the counter without saying a word. She looked past me asking for the next person to step forward before I could even get the bag. Complete show of disrespect.
Three prescriptions ago they gave us a half of what was prescribed of an antibiotic. Quite a dangerous implication of not giving enough of a very serious medicine, two prescriptions ago they gave the wrong plungers to measure another antibiotic. Causing the prescription to be short by five doses. Today when picking up today's prescription they completely left one of the scripts out, then after I complained about the complete incompetence I was told " we can't do anything to fix what's wrong with the pharmacy". Maybe you could start by just doing your jobs.
bought a product here that I tried to return it another location when I realized it did not work for me and was told I could not because of what kind of product it was went back to the original location and the young manager there she was amazing she was great she returned it with no problem I got my money back and I feel much better and on to continue the rest of my night thank you Walgreens at least Walgreens at 1920 Riverside you guys are amazing the Walgreens down and Kyle no thanks you guys were not very nice to me I will not be returning there
Just awful. My husband went to pick up prescription for my daughter and the reciept was not stapled to prescriptions bag and it blew away. Then the store manger a black man with poor dress attire ignored him after taking information and never returned to give him a copy of the reciept. So i guess Angelo Saxons are not welcomed at the thug Walgreens on riverside. I will never ever go to that business again. Bastrop seems much friendlier even though they are out of the way for us. If you want genuine Thug atmosphere they have it and more. Good day.
Pharmacy is never on-time or honest about delays. I’ve been told three (3) days in a row, “Oh we’ve ordered it, it’ll be in tomorrow.” Normal turn-arounds at professional establishments are 1-2 business days but this establishment seems to stay well behind that ball. Punctuality and honesty are huge parts of any customer service oriented establishment but this place seems to have skipped those trainings. I recommend having your provider switch you to a different Walgreens or CVS so the riverside Walgreens can be turned into something useful.
I have never been to a good Walgreens pharmacy (no matter the city/state) but this location is on some sort of race to the bottom. If you’re lucky enough that they answer and don’t hang up or have you on hold for 20min, you will receive inconsistent answers from staff. I had to call back every hour for a couple days because no one would answer. The automated voice system is one of the worst but that’s not particular to this location, it’s all locations. I have tried calling a number of times today and it won’t go through.
I wish I got the cashier's name. She was completely rude to me, she tried to make me scan my own rewards card by pointing at the scanner. Then she handed me my item from very far away so I had to reach for it. And when she told me the total, she began a conversation with a coworker and completely ignored me. So I threw my money on the counter and left without my change because I was so done dealing with her horrific attitude and inability to do her job. Other experiences here have not been so terrible so I gave two stars.
I can't speak for all of the staff that works at the Riverside location but they have a tall balding guy who is more than polite and kind. He is helpful all the way around whether it be western union funds being sent or basic customer service. Another employee who is a little lady a bit older in age is also consistently kind and friendly, I shop here a lot and I like these people a lot :-) I wish I was more detail oriented and attentive myself so I knew the helpful employees names, none the less, they are great.
hey guys.. this place is ridiculously slow and nobody was answering the phone. I was checking prices around for lowest prices on the prescription and these people don't even answer. I called the other pharmacy on riverside Dr which was RITE AWAY PHARMACY AS THE NAME SAYS IT WAS RITE AWAY ANSWERING THE PHONE AND THEY ARE THE LOWEST PRICES IN THAT AREA FOR PEOPLE WITH NO INSURANCE. IT WAS GREAT AND FASTEST SERVICE IN FILLING RX IN 10MINUTES AND LESS. I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND OTHERS AS WELL TO GO...
I have always printed pictures from Walgreens. A recent move planted me closest to this walgreens. The last two times i have printed pictures the quality has been absurdly bad. Blacked out faces and eyes, shadows, general dark look to all the pictures. HUGE disappointment and waste of my time. I will not be returning to this walgreens. Not only that, but the staff at the counter are slow beyond belief and walk back and forth looking at you until you force them to help you. So annoying!!!!!!!
Absolutely horrible. I have never written a review in my life but I have written one just to state how bad the experience was. I would excuse it, if it was the first time. This is my second time there and safe to say my last. I went there early in the morning. There was no one else there. I went to the cashier to ask for some products to be unlocked. She called the employee and I waited a good 10 mins. When I realized nothing would come from waiting, I left. After 10 mins. Horrible.
Beautiful store, nice, clean and decent parking... They must be under staffed. They are either slammed or not supervised well. They LOST an order sent to them for me from a vendor (10lb box) and then fought with me until I got the receipt from FEDEX showing their employee signed for it. They actually said "this employee does not work here anymore". I really do not care, just give me the script. They eventually did. Anyway they are hard to reach and do not care about you.
This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. And I have been to a lot of Walgreens. They are consistently under staffed and the lines to the pharmacy consistently stretch down the medicine aisle. There usually is only one cashier working the pharmacy who always seems overwhelmed. They also are consistently out of drinks in the coolers including regular water. This entire experience should be an embarrassment to the Walgreens brand. Ya’ll need to get it together.
Walked up to pharmacy asked if there was a wait for flu shot was told no. By time she had checked me out about 10ppl walked in line behind me and now all of a sudden I'm told 30min wait now....I now had to wait till everyone behind me had been helped....not sure how much sense this made. Very poor customer service to then have one of the girls behind the counter be extremely rude in the way she spoke to me. 2 stars is bc the other girl was so nice to start with.
This place has the worst customer service I any pharmacy I have ever used. 3 x's I have come to pick up a prescription after being told ur was ready only now showing up to pick it up and they have somehow list my insurance information and tried to charge me $65 for what should cost me $5. The people behind the counter are rude with no offers of apology our explanation. Now to be told the need proof authorization for the gel! Absolutely ridiculous.
Not sure why so few pharmacies exist in this part of town, but we are very fortunate to only need prescriptions occasionally. After visiting urgent care, my daughter was prescribed a med and we went to this Walgreens to find out they ran out of the medication and no one had bothered to contact us to let us know. The pharmacist told us it was our responsibility to find another Walgreens to fill it or they could order for pickup the next day.
This place is excellent. The retail staff and pharmacy staff are both great. Every person complaining about parking is simply incorrect. This is a busy shopping center in a busy part of town. Parking will be a headache here, and anywhere in any city that has a busy urban center. Pro-Tip: If you are overwhelmingly concerned about parking, you should opt-in to mobile and phone updates on your prescriptions and just do the drive through.
Sick people who give Walgreens' pharmacy their business shouldn't have to wait absurd amounts of time because corporate or management or whoever doesn't want to keep more pharmacy techs on call. Additionally, if you "don't have much control over how well the automated system works," you should probably get a new system. This will be my last time frequenting this establishment and I sincerely suggest you don't go there either.
I ordered some photos to be printed in store. They gave me 1 hour as an eta for pickup. I gave them a few extra hours to print and when I arrived to pick them up they just didn’t print them. I am now here past close waiting for them to “try” and print them because they didn’t have anyone working photo today. This seems like a complete failing on Walgreens part to offer a service and then just blatantly not print them.
Incompetent staff and an even more broken online system. Placed an order online for pick up, received a confirmation email, also received an email and text saying the order was ready for pick up. On reaching the store, the staff there tell me the order is not showing up and can't do anything about it, despite showing them the emails and text. Neither did they show the willingness to help sort it out. Totally useless
The new location for the East Riverside Walgreens is a huge improvement over where they used to be just a block away. It's nice that it's now part of a group of stores and restaurants so one can easily park once and make a few stops in a single trip. It's a brighter and cleaner spot making things seem much more friendly and accommodating. Walgreens has gone from a place that I avoid to my primary pharmacy.
No point in coming here because there’s no parking and no available cashiers. 1 cashier on a weekday lunchtime and she called mgr for assistance checking out customers and manager told her no. Parking is taken by patrons of popular restaurants that share the parking lot. Worthless having a Walgreen’s here because they don’t protect their parking spots and apparently don’t value their customers’ time.
Got a pick up ready order for a poster. Drove 20 min and then waited another 20 min in store to find out it wasn’t printed. Employee puts in the order to print. 10 min later a manager comes by and says they don’t have the right size of paper. The employee admits she just hit the print button and didn’t check the supplies. Your store has terrible reviews and is so unorganized. Do better.
TRIED calling in a prescription lasted about 17 mins only to be hanged up on. Called for a second time and the lady was so RUDE! Either someone wasn't having a good day or this job is too much for them. Imagine how she spoke in the phone I feel bad for the people who actually have the luck to speak to her in person, phew. I wished I would've gotten a name... maybe next time.
This Walgreens is so close to me and I have watched it go straight down hill since it opened. I had a prescription sent here - got no communication but it was apparently canceled because they needed additional documentation from the doc. When I called back to make sure they had gotten everything they needed, I was on hold for nearly 20 minutes and then got hung up on.
the female pharmacist with the British accent is one of the kindest most attentive people I’ve ever met. You can tell she really cares about her customers and is always in a upbeat mood. I have moved away from this particular Walgreens but I still pick up my prescriptions from this location because of her and the staff. Keep up the hard work, it doesn’t go unnoticed.
This "new walgreens" is ridiculous. The pharmacy hours Saturday are suppose to be until 10. Yesterday they closed at 6pm! 6pm on a Saturday!!! What kind lf sense does that make? I have a serious health condition and needed to pick up my prescriptions, I would have went somewhere else had I known they wouldn't be available after 6. What time do they close today noon?
I swear at this location they hire people who just don't care and lazy. This will be the second time I've had a bad experience at this store and will be the last. I thought the pharmacy would have better people instead of the store. Dead wrong!!!!! I'll have my prescription moved to another walgreens way out my way, than to come back here and deal with these......
Worst customer service First The lady behind the counter kept ignoring me and when she finally helped me She clearly had no idea what she was doing as she kept saying my package wasn’t for FedEx. I had to go to another Walgreens to ship. Thankfully they knew what they were doing and the customer service was great at the airport location. Never coming here again.
The pharmacy here is a joke. I regularly fill two prescriptions and they regularly proceed to fill one of the two in the order. They call me every day with threatening messages about putting my Rx back, even though they only filled half of the order. I call every month and explain that I don't want to make multiple trips but the threatening calls continue.
Pharmacy is run by idiots. Make sure you check before ordering any prescription to this store. Can’t input any of my insurance information correctly and just told me to get in the back of the line in order to get my medicine. 5 to 6 people have been waiting on the staff to get their medicine and it is just a mess. Never using this store again for anything.
I have a problem with the PHARMACY, not the store. This is the second time that they’ve forgotten to include my husband’s needles/insulin at the drive-thru. You’re not supposed to go without taking it, it can be dangerous. The pharmacy is really forgetful or maybe they’re high on something… I’m trying to convince him to just go to another pharmacy.
This pharmacy has failed to inform my husband that they were out of his scheduled medication (required to stop him from a life threatening incident). They also had no record of any of his prescriptions after 6 months of regular pick up which was alarming. This pharmacy has been so bad and so dangerous I don’t even know how it’s legally operating.
Do not take your prescription here. I went in at 10 AM to get a prescription and was told my medication would be ready by 12:45 PM. It's now 6:21 PM and my prescription is still not ready. This is medication I needed TODAY and now I'm stuck without it. Literally have never been to a Walgreens pharmacy this incompetent. Go elsewhere if you can.
If you like waiting in 15-person lines for your Rx, go here. If you like calling multiple times a day to never reach a human, call here. If you like being told what time to pick your Rx up, and then return to grab it only to be be told to come back tomorrow, go here multiple times. It shouldn’t take this much effort to get your medication.
This Walgreens looks recently rebuilt, and very nice. The staff has been very friendly and willing to help out each time I've been there. If I need to stop by a Walgreens, and I'm in this area, I always stop at this location. Note, the maps currently say this one is closed. It is not, and I've put in an edit to that efffect.
Everyone who works here is nice but it’s happened to me way to many times that they say my medication is ready and when I get there they tell me I have to come back tomorrow. Please have the system work better so it doesn’t keep saying it’s ready and then it’s not. Waiting multiple days to have to pick it up really sucks.
Marc the Manager was unable to ring up a product carried in his store. He out it on his vendor and basically said there's nothing he can do to help me. Pretty lazy and unprofessional. He also wouldn't let me buy the product. I'm forced to go to a competitor because of incompetence. And it's probably not his incompetence.
Regarding the pharmacy- the head pharmacist Rishma (I believe that is the spelling) and the rest of the team are awesome. She is very attentive/caring and will hound insurance and doctors on your behalf. She has always seen that my medication is filled on time and checks up on my health. Great work overall, keep it up!
Terrible experience waiting for a simple antibiotic. First someone started my order. Then left. Then the computer was having an issue taking my insurance info. Then the pharmacist forgot to put the script in checkout status and went on break. I was waiting over an hour for a prescription that was digitally sent.
My monthly medications are regularly not refilled and I'm told to call the pharmacy. It take hours to get ahold of anyone at the pharmacy. I usually don't leave negative reviews at places, but it is dangerous to get your medication from here if you rely on it or are at risk of withdrawal symptoms
Wow I'm a diabetic and I had to use the restroom I bought something and the manager wouldn't let me use the restroom I believe this needs to be addressed discriminating against someone who is a diabetic is not cool y'all have lost my business I will be transferring all my prescriptions elsewhere.
They pharmaceutical team hear provided the worst pharmacy-relates experience of my life. Rude, dismissive, and unhelpful was the name of the game. Will definitely be avoiding Walgreens. Would rather drive out of my way to another pharmacy than having to experience the awful service given here.
Parking sucks. Weird middle row always creates chaos. Watch out with the really crappy looking cars. They don't have anything to lose when it comes to damaging ur car. Some problems with homeless people hanging around the parking lot as well. The usual pricing higher than next door at HEB.
Worst management ever It was my first time there, they they took my prescription they asked me to wait 10 or 15 minutes After waiting one hour and five minutes i went to the counter and ask if it's ready Then they told me that sorry sorry it's not gonna be ready today you can come tomorrow
TERRIBLE SLOW SERVICE multiple times I’ve a prescription and needed it before an hour of my surgery and had to wait 20 mins even though I called it in 3 hours before to make sure it would be ready prior to my surgery. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU . PLEASE DO NOT PICK THIS PLACE ON RIVERSIDE .
I work a late shift and stop in here all the time to pick up stuff on my way home. Tonight I was informed (rudely) that the restrooms are closed at 10pm, which has never been the case prior to tonight. I'll find a different place to shop because of the nasty attitude I received.
Never had a problem with the pharmacy in the past year I've been coming here. When the app says my prescription is filled Igo and get it, no hassle. Also got to witness the pharmacy manager patiently handle a clearly upset individual thar was making a big scene
The parking lot at this Walgreens is terrible but it's mostly because of the homeless people hanging out. Although the outside of the store is not the cleanest the inside of the store isn't too bad. The cashiers are usually friendly though so that does help.
I paid hundreds of dollars multiple times because they couldn't find my insurance on file then when I brought in my insurance info they said they already had it in the system. What the hell? Who is going to give me the money back that I was overcharged?
Mauricio needs additional training customer service skills. He is one the rudest persons ever worked there. The stores policies are changing day to day depending on who is working. Additionally that Walgreens is not for Chime members. Do not go there.
So sad that the most convenient pharmacy to me is the least reliable. The store closes without notice and there is no way to know when they will reopen. I cannot check to see if prescriptions are ready because the website is down as often as it is up.
Worst customer experience I’ve ever had at the pharmacy. Impossible to get these people on the phone and they’re either rude or hang up on you if you get someone on the line. Moving all my prescriptions to another place that appreciates my business
This is the slowest pharmacy I've ever been to. Whether you go inside or drive-thru, it takes FOREVER. I waited 45 minutes today in the drive-thru to pick up one antibiotic prescription. The location is great but service/wait time is unacceptable.
Kristen is a stereotypical horrible manager who doesn’t care about her staff at all. The pharmacy had one person who knew what they were doing and Kristen said she is too busy to help. There were 20 customers in the pharmacy and 2 in the
This Walgreens fails at literally everything all the time: staffing, inventory, consistent store hours, pharmacy, customer service, all of it. I’m trapped here because it’s the only pharmacy in my neighborhood. Consistently just awful.
There is no purpose for the new screen doors on the beverage section. It's a detrimental feature, more so now when things seem to run out of stock faster, which the screens don't bother to tell you. Waste of resources and peoples time.
Not all pharmacies are the same. Horrible service, never has anything in stock, don't inform you when they can't fill a portion of the prescription. I went there for convenience but I will be switching to one farther from my apartment.
I literally used to go here for snacks/dinner every shift when I got off work since I work food industry and usually get off between 11pm-1am but was denied the restroom and told to just pee outside the building. How is that okay?
No carts or baskets? Ridiculous, do you want me to spend money here or not? I had a few items to get and asked where carts and baskets where to which the response was they have "none and never have" that is just stupid. I left
Horrendously slow at the pharmacy. Currently, waiting 20min with only 2 people in front of me. Pick-up Express isn't working either. Tick, tick, tick.... Update: just told it'd be another 30min. Skip this place. I'd go to CVS
First review at the new location. The interior is nice and a brand new building in an up-and-coming East Riverside area. There is ways a line and a confused staff. Low rating because of the lack of managing at this location.
Horrible customer service. I stood in a line with 5 people in front of me while 3 out of 5 employees stood around doing nothing. Only 2 we’re checking out people. The manager, Austin, stood there not doing anything as well.
Worst ran pharmacy - and I’ve given it multiple tries to correct issues and every time I pick up a prescription it is the same thing. I now travel an additional 20 minutes just to not have to interact with this location.
Friendly and helpful staff! Great selection of inventory here and definitely plenty of items in stock usually. Good rewards if you are a member of Walgreens rewards and the beauty club that anyone can sign up for.
Slow experience for everything from simple checkout to the pharmacy. The lines are always long despite the store being empty. Don’t ever use the drive thru pharmacy, you’ll wait 15-20 minutes per car ahead of you
I’m just here to say how much I love the pharmacist, Rishma. As depressing, expensive, and often humiliating as it can be to have to get pharmaceuticals, she’s always lovely and friendly. I appreciate it so much.
This is more a criticism of the shopping center than Walgreens. Whoever designed the parking lot in this place should be fired. From a cannon into the sun. Everyone here is super cool and helpful tho.
The worst experience I have ever had as a human! Do not go in here. They treat you like dogs. I spent $100 on groceries and they wouldn't even let me use the restroom. They dehumanize people. #boyco
Arrived at 5:45 to pick up a prescription. Lady there sent me away because they close at 6. :-/ I went to a the 2501 S Lamar Blvd. Walgreens and they filled my prescription in less than 15 minutes.
Dude working the night shift had mentioned to his coworker that he had just witnessed a girl get kidnapped from the store. And then proceeded to joke about watching TV just to see her face pop up.
Justin did a great job! He was friendly and welcoming despite the fact that his manager came up to the register and was rude to him in front of customers. Thanks for the great service Justin.
8 people in line, one person checking customers out. 3 other employees in the front, one of which was a manager, none of which, apparently, were able to assist customers in any way.
This Walgreens location can get busy as it’s right on riverside in a busy plaza. Store was clean and well stocked, but checkout line was long and there’s no self checkout kiosks.
The location is good, but it always appears too busy for the unfriendly staff and the selection isn't as good as down the street at CVS. I say take your business over there.
God help you if you need to speak to a human being on the phone. They pick up the call when you're on hold, and without words put you back on hold which resets their timer.
LabCorp person called my name then immediately shut the door and didnt give me a chance to respond and took the next person waiting. Terrible service. would not recommend.
Actually gave me someone else's prescription. Kind of a big deal. They are also incredibly rude every time I go there. Transferred my prescription over to CVS on S Lamar.
It's ok except something was stolen out of my friends car and the night manager lied about looking away the recording of the camera and said no one else got into it.
Had what I needed, well-lit interior and cashier was a living human. It's a Walgreen's! It's fine. Not sure what all the crybaby reviewers were expecting.
This is a big nice walgreens, but they are always understaffed the lings are crazy long and often they just close the store due to lack of staffing
The BEST Walgreens in Austin! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and courteous - even if the customer in front of you has been a jerk. …
