Update- most my more recent interactions over the past year have been fairly good. So I am giving back some stars. Old review follows: They just don’t listen. 6 months running now. Every. Single. Month. It’s a joke really. I get two rx there. One I don’t care about brand vs generic but the brand is way more money-so I request generic obviously. The other, the generic doesn’t work right. It’s one of the very few times I request brand, with a coupon prices are comparable. So I want the brand. This is a two star review so you already know what happens - every time they give me brand of the super expensive one (actually usually they tell me it’s In stock then I get a message saying it’s out of stock then I have to call and call and call until I remind them they do have it and I do want the generic.) When I dropped off my prescription this month- I say to the woman- you guys always get it backwards. Let me be explicit - I want this generic and this brand. She checks and says they have it. Then I get a message saying it’s out of stock. Then I call and get that call center Walgreens started. The one where you think you’ve called the pharmacy but really it’s someone that has no idea what’s going on. Yet again they were trying to fill brand for the one drug and did already fill generic for the other. It’s the same error every single month. I’ve asked if there is some note that makes them think I want the brand of that other drug- as that’s the more egregious to me- a) they have to order it and I have to wait a few days- I can only fill 28 days or late and by day 30 I’m out- so if I’m traveling in screwed. B) it’s like $400. The amount of time I have wasted and they have wasted by simply not listening has got to be approaching 10 hours at this point- on hold, waiting at the pharmacy, on the phone, waiting in the lobby there. I will probably go elsewhere soon, it’s not worth it.
The pharmacy was fine and check out clerk was ok...it was the arrogant manager I have an issue with. My neighbor and I went in about 15 minutes ago..as we were entering this foul smelling young person approached and requested money. I said no. He followed us around the store..by the pharmacy, etc... We heard code 90 and a request for security to walk the floor. We assumed it was due to this person. As we checked out up front we ask the clerk if security could walk us out as we were uncomfortable ...and explained...she responded with..oh he's left the store..duh? She called the manager and explained...meanwhile a gentleman in line behind us offered to walk out with us...we thanked him and told him we would wait on him and very much appreciated it. Meanwhile the manager walks by, right by us does not acknowledge us...sticks his head out the door.. says he's gone..chuckles and says there's a cop out there anyway...not addressing us..he walks off. So, we walk out...thank goodness we didn't see the foul smelling guy and there wasn't a cop either. Now, this man is responsible for his store..had I been the manager I or someone would have made sure any uncomfortable customer made it to their vehicles safely and I dang sure would have at least nodded to them... This store is done for me!
Long store short: Pharmacy sucks, go literally anywhere else. Here’s the full story. The 24 hour pharmacy, doesn’t answer their phones after 9pm even though they’re supposed to. I called at 9pm. And stayed on hold for 3 hours. I remained on hold while I used a second phone to call the main store. They picked up first ring… I asked if the pharmacy was open: yes. I asked if the pharmacy was busy: no, it was empty. I asked if they could walk over to the pharmacy and ask them to pick up their line: they did and immediately my other phone was answered by the pharmacy (reluctantly! And after 3 hours of them just sitting there ignoring the phone). They just said: “oh sorry. Sometimes we do other stuff.” Sure, but for THREE hours without picking up for a 30 second question?? ____ During daytime: 7am-9pm, the pharmacy consistently has 4-8 cars in the drive through (each car takes 15+ minutes) and at least 10 people in line inside (they each take 15+ minutes too). At all times. Calling the pharmacy on the phone? It took me 3 hours on hold one evening, 45 minutes the next day, and 2 hours the following day. It’s not their fault they are constantly busy. It IS their fault they don’t work to hire more staff and serve more customers at once. Please chose another pharmacy :)
All your pharmacists are rude, not compassionate, or care about the customers they are serving. The early morning pharmacist seems to hate her job, mumbles under her breath(not even a smile) honey fake it to you make it, on top of that you can barely hear her!!! I know it’s it a great time to work but dang. My son takes a controlled substance, they couldn’t find his prescription and said they would call me when they found it. 15 minutes later I get a call they found it. It wasn’t lost, the top of the bag had been bent and they couldnt see his name looking for it! As for the front desk people Two nights ago My hubby came in and got me saline anti nose congestion and the way they person behind the counter handed his is item was like is was infected. I had a bacterial infection in my sinus and it wasn’t covid. But they didn’t know what I had, but still show more respect towards others. They could have nicely put it in a bag and put the item on the counter. New management is horrible. Customer service does not live in this store. Glad it’s 24 hours, but not glad to see the lack of customer service!
Horrible vaccine experience!! Took someone to this location to get a Covid-19 vaccine. Got there before the scheduled appointment time and when we arrived the store and the pharmacy were not busy at all. Checked-in, filled out the required paperwork and was told to have a sit. Over 20 minutes later still sitting and waiting to be called. Not 1 person was ahead of us to get a vaccine. When I finally went back up to let someone know we had been waiting 20 over 20 minutes, I was told that a 20 minute wait wasn't bad and that a lot of people have waited over an hour and that it was because they were short staffed...yet there were 5 EMPLOYEES WORKING IN THE PHARMACY!!! Turns out the pharmacy employee who checked us in NEVER completed the check-in process. Had I not have gone back up to find out why we had been waiting over 20 minutes in an almost empty pharmacy, we would have still been waiting there.
Overall positive. Convenient store and pharmacy that I’ve been frequenting for more than 15 years. It offers a better selection of cleaning products than the Harris Teeter across the street. Pharmacy is open 24 hours, along with the store itself, which is the best thing. Pharmacy lines can get a bit long, especially during peak hours. Sometimes, the line gets stalled for quite a lengthy period when there’s a customer who is having insurance issues and keeps asking monotonous questions, which needs to be dealt with in a better way than this location does currently. Sometimes the customers in the drive thru pharmacy area are not dealt with promptly enough and are left waiting for quite a while (20-30 minutes), which also needs improvement. Rough looking people are occasionally found outside of this location asking for money, which also needs to be dealt with better by the management.
I have had several bad experiences with this Walgreen's. Last week I was given, a prescription with another patients name and medication information on the label. Boy, this scared me, because I had been taking the medication for several weeks. It took a couple of days, the store manager and several pharmacist to finally figure out that I hadn't been taking the wrong medication. The bottle had "just" been mislabeled. Today, they can't find a prescription my doctor called in. This happens so often I have begun to ask the doctor to give me a hard copy, knowing the Walgreens pharmacy will be unable to find it. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for a copy on this occasion. Needless to say it is time to find another pharmacy. This type thing has become standard practice at the Morrison Walgreen's store. I would not recommend this store to anyone! Unreliable with medication preparation.
Unfortunately this is the only 24 hr pharmacy around, otherwise I would have had my prescription transferred right after being approached by the pharmacy tech. She walked up slowly with her head down, making no eye contact. I was never asked for my insurance card and was about pay full price for my RX until I asked if they had my insurance. At this point the pharmacist, was taking care of me at the register and he didn't verify insurance either. The same thing happened to the lady paying beside me. The techs need to be PROACTIVE and ask for insurance and verify contact info. upfront! I waited 20 mins on a Thursday night after 10pm for 1 pill!! They are super slow and do not have the personalty to work with public. WALGREENS, YOU NEED BETTER MANAGEMENT AND TECHS WHO WANT THEIR JOBS, NOT JUST NEED THEM.
I had a very positive experience today. My daughter diagnosed with the flu and her prescription was called into Cannon, our usual pharmacy. They did not have it in stock and were actually a bit rude to her. I stopped by Walgreens to see if they had the medication in stock and was immediately helped by Chris, the pharmacy tech. He helped facilitate getting the script from Cannon, and I walked out with it in hand. I also witnessed the pharmacist get harassed by a man pushing her to fill medication for covid prevention that she was not comfortable with. She handled it calmly and professionally. Walgreens at Morrison is a very busy place, and I'm sure things can go wrong, but I appreciate the kind and professional way in which I was helped today.
Worst Walgreens in Charlotte. That pharmacy is a complete mess. Whoevee is in charge of that area either need to fix the host of problems, quit or be fired. I stood in line and witnessed 3 complaints back to back by 3 different customers ahead of me. I also witnessed a couple leave after an extremely long time for their covid vaccines without being vaccinated because they were apparently forgotten about. I stood in line over 25 minutes and that couple was there before I arrived and left out right after me. They said they waited this long to get vaccinated and the state of that pharmacy has persuaded them to continue living without the covid vaccination! That is sad, WALGREENS!!!@
The only star they get is for being open and in a convenient area. I used to work for Walgreens and this location makes me sad when it comes to the customer service provided. Photo orders are typically late and then they have to redo them when they come out poorly or scratched. Not a single smile, greeting or even a demeanor that anyone cares. Both the sales clerk and his manager seemed annoyed that they had to redo my print, both wearing AirPods while working. The clerk went as far as to say how he never gets to work in photo anymore because people keep calling out. Poor attendance to work is almost always a reflection of subpar leadership.
I called these folks 5 times on Sunday, twice on Monday and 3 times on Tuesday to try to pick up a prescription refill I called in almost a week ago. No one answers—waited over 40 mins on hold twice. Then I went down to the store. The pharmacist said the Rx would be ready on Monday. It’s Tuesday evening and the automated service says the pharmacist is “reviewing my Rx.” Still cannot reach them by phone. As of today, I am out of my medication. How can they call themselves a responsible pharmacy? No way I’m using Walgreens again once my refills are done. Utterly frustrating and dangerous to my health!! Would give negative stars if I could.
Wasn't actually planning on going to this location but when I called to make sure the Indian trail location was open the very rude woman was happy to tell me how they're closing 2 hours early. We then ended up going to the matthews location as it was open all night. We were promptly greeted the nicest I have been greeted in so long. Our waiter I believe was named Lavelle. He was beyond amazing! His energy at 1am is like no other. Along with the food beyond FANTASTIC .Cooked to perfection. There was not one minute of this visit I could complain about. I am so beyond happy we ended up here! We will be back weekly now!
Absolutely Painful Experience every single Time to get just one prescription filled. Last time I subject myself to this. I called and asked if my script was ready and made sure that I spoke with someone “in the store” and not a call center. I was told it was ready. Went to pick it up and not only was it not ready, they were completely out of the medication. I have never left a bad review in my life however this happens nearly every time I deal with this particular Walgreens. We all make mistakes or have an off day but every single day?? To boot, their reaction is they couldn’t care less about my inconvenience.
Extremely slow, always with insurance issues. This was the last time I'll use them. I write this as I'm waiting in the drive thru line for an hour past my scheduled appointment for a Covid test and having been told my prescription which I was told would be ready the previous day at 8am, is still not ready the day after at 5pm and I will have to come back. Also I was told I can try calling ahead but they may not be able to help me or tell me if its ready and its just a luck of the draw type thing. Very disappointing, enough that I very rarely post reviews and I am prompted to post one here.
This used to be an awesome Walgreens. The change in management and staff is now awful, rude, and no one knows anything. This is particularly about the pharmacy. Prescription was called in on 2/11. Get there and told it would be in on 2/18. I call to see if it’s ready and was told no the 25th. Get there on the 28th and was told it’s OTC. Like what. Finally was told they can’t order the medication. I went to HT, who had zero issue ordering the medication. I have promptly removed all of my family’s prescriptions from this location. Rude staff. Unprofessional.
Absolutely the worst. Called to make sure they had medication after my daughter's surgery. They confirmed they did and then when I showed up to pick up the prescription said they didn't have it but could get it on Monday - 3 days after surgery. Not helpful. Then needed a refill. After waiting 6 hours for them to fill with an error message saying it was delayed due to insurance, I called 3 times, waited on hold for 45 mins each time oy to get hung up on when it said my call was next.Absoloutely worst customer service experience ever!
Just about the worst pharmacy ever. Don’t start filling prescriptions here, go somewhere else!! The majority of the staff you can tell do not like their job and they are not there to help you. I have even been given the right medicine with the WRONG prescribed dose. Also, they do not process their paperwork very well. We have had so many issues here with things they say they see as not approved yet I call our insurance and it has been approved and hey don’t know why this pharmacy does not see it. Too many issues to count.
The location is convenient and that’s about all I can say. I waited 30 minutes in the drive through before being told there was an insurance issue and to wait for a call and come back in about an hour. Received an automated call saying RXs were ready. Called and spoke with pharmacy tech, who confirmed all were ready. Arrived in the store 10 minutes later and was told to wait 15 more minutes because the prescriptions were not ready. This sums up my experience every time I visit this location. Really frustrating.
I love this store It’s open 24 hours and I’ve never had an issue really until tonight when I called to ask if they were open due to it being a holiday “Good Friday” and the female that answered literally didn’t not say if they were open or not and when I asked just stayed on the phone quietly and then hung up on me! They shouldn’t just hire any ratchet but whatever I like the everything else overall. Luckily she didn’t cash me out…the male there did and he was super sweet and helpful!
Probably one of the worst stores you can work for, no management system, everyone here treats you like your nothing, long lines to pick up prescriptions, rude customer service, I know its a 24 hour location but if you can I would recommend staying away from this store. One of the worst stores and one of the worst management system. Just stay away, you’ll thank me later. Trust me. Horrible and rude people here is all I see. They don’t care about there customers or the employees.
I work overnight mobile security and alarm response, and I was down horrendous from pollen since my Claritin was wearing off. I went to buy some Zyrtec and Tony made is seem like he was getting 100k by walking over and unlocking the case. He had enthusiasm and was friendly as all hell. Days been horrid due to constant alarms and allergies playing together and Tony somehow made that way better. If he's not being paid at minimum 50/hr then he definitely needs to be
Of I could give negative stars I would. This is the absolute WORST pharmacy ever. Staff is extremely rude very unprofessional and unorganized for a pharmacy they either can’t find my prescription, tell me it’s out of refills when it’s not or give me the wrong medicine. It’s horrible!!! They never answer the phone and act as though I am bothering them for getting my prescription for the Pharmacy. DONT GO HERE !! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED EVERYTIME!
Poor customer service. Pressed buzzer for service to get into a case. 2 employees chatting 10 ft from me. I assumed they didn’t have keys. Pressed again and eventually one of them came over to unlock. Then at check out cashier called for a manager several times and nobody came. Again, the 2 girls chatting it up… low and behold finally one broke away from her conversation to work and assist cashier.
Since Walgreens bought up Rite Aid the two that were closest together are not being treated unfairly. The one on Fairview Rd is being treated like the red-headed step child & is out of stock of most everything. The one on Carnage & Sharon Rd is being stocked properly but also says the policy is to sell not more than two packs of cigarettes to an individual per day. First I've heard of that.
Wanted to leave a good rating for Alicia in particular who told me about reward points I didn’t know I had. She took time to notice I had a missing email and quickly fixed it. She was so kind and sweet last night. I’ve always stopped by this store at night time and it’s always pretty good customer service but encountering her really stood out in my mind. I hope she has much success.
Don’t come to this place for Covid-19 vaccine if you value your time. I had an appt and arrived 5 min earlier. Took 10 min to check in even though I’ve already filled out all forms online. Then it took more than an hour to wait for the physician to get ready. What’s the point of having the appointment system??? I’ll never come to this Walgreen for anything.
I had a great experience receiving my First Covid Vaccination shot at this Walgreens location. There was a wonderful Pharmacist by the name Catherine that did a great job I thought administering my Covid Vaccination shot while taking my mind off of things. I’m not a fan of needles so I had to force myself to go but ended having a pleasant experience!!!
Very rude pharmacy staff members, they are mostly difficult to work with. Just because you have a job that requires you to learn information that may not be common knowledge to the general public does not make you superior. If they keep up this attitude they may just keep customers purely out of the convenience of their location.
I feel bad for staff! The pharmacy line was always 6 people deep. The meds were on back order but you don’t find out until you’re forced to go in and talk to someone. Phone system didn’t work. Took two days to find out they didn’t have what I needed. People in line were so upset they were shouting profanities. Not ok Walgreens!!
Trying to refill a prescription is frustrating! App doesn't work and automated can not get the RX # correct. Finally talked to a person and they tell me no refills on file when the bottle says 1. Then the tech will not give me the fax number to give my vet to fax a new one. Beyond ridiculous! Happens time and time again.
This got to be the worst pharmacy ever they tell people to wait and medication will be ready in 1 hour, and after waiting they still say not ready yet for pickup. The pharmacist need to approve it to be prepared. I am wondering what they were doing that whole hour then. Very an professional.
Had an urgently-required prescription that I needed filled in the evening, and they were there to help out. Didn't even have to wait. Professional pharmacy, very cordial people. Would recommend to all. Many thanks! Very clean, open, well-lighted, and refreshing store. Nice neighborhood, too-
Massive store and great selection of both products and snacks. They even have great imported beauty products such as No7 which as a foreigner, it is nice to find and prices are very reasonable. It's always right around the corner from Southpark Mall so it's handy and accessible.
Cashier was silent, no hello, no thank you for shipping at Walgreens…:.nothing! Not a good look to customers shopping there from out of town. Will never go back to Walgreens on Morrison Blvd again! I don’t care if they were giving out free items. One star is pushing it
I was visiting NC from NH to visit a family member on hospice and my husband needed cough medicine at 3am. The staff were super kind and friendly despite how late it was. I really appreciated their kind words and help. The store was also sparkling clean and bright.
I don't use the pharmacy services here, but since it is in walking distance it makes it very convenient to grab vitamins or bath products when needed. The store is always clean, however it may be understaffed because when I go there is always a line of 4-5 people.
Received a robocall about insurance so I called the store and sat on hold for 53 minutes before the system "kindly" thanked me and hung up... Pros: Open 24 hrs Cons: There are "issues" way too often and it usually takes at 30 minutes to speak with a pharmacist.
Needed something at 2:30am and this Walgreens was the only place open. The overnight manager, Tony, was so incredibly nice and helpful even though I think he was the only person working due to a staff shortage. So so so thankful he was working!!
Convenient location in Southpark with a large space and 24-hour pharmacy. The pharmacy's hours make this a strong choice for where to get prescriptions filled, and the array of products inside is sufficient to replace a trip to the grocery
Actually they don't deserve a one star either. Pharmacy is horrible. They've asked 5 times for my birthday, then told me my daughter didn't have coverage when I'm the plan holder and have coverage for my daughter and i. Smh. I then called
Today i went to this walgreen store after driving for 4 miles. As soon as i enter, nobody at the store greeted mine. It is fine . I want to buy for baby vicks rub, but i did not find any at the baby care section. poor customer service.
the worst pharmacy in all of charlotte. i never leave reviews based on bad experiences because i know how hard customer facing jobs can be, but i have been to this store 4 times in the past week and each time they have told me my
Pharmacy struggles to get prescriptions filled accurately and in a timely manner. When brought to the attention of store management, there seemed to be little concern. The six or seven pharmacy customers I observed left unhappy.
After traveling to 3 different Walgreen pharmacies to fill my prescription this has to be the worst in customer service. Although I was the only person in the waiting area I had to wait 20 mins and the pharmacist was very rude.
The pharmacy staff if very difficult to work with. I have gone to another Walgreen's as a result. I thought maybe it was just me but while I was sick and had a friend go to the pharmacy for me, she said the same thing.
Great improvements at this location. Staff is always very professional and friendly. They can be a bit busy at times, as they are a 24 hour pharmacy, however this also makes it a very convenient and dependable location.
Tony and Alicia are always here when I come. They are so sweet and polite. They made my day better and they deserve a raise for the work they do! Seems like the store was struggling but they had it all under control!
Tony always gives exceptional customer service! He always goes above and beyond - even when I’m having a bad day, he puts a smile on my face and greets me by name each time I visit. He deserves a raise/promotion!
Terrible service. Very long lines waiting to pickup meds. When you finally get to register, any issues with insurance are fixed when you show up, but must wait another 20 minutes to get that prescription.
The employee working the night shift on 11/18 was wonderful. I stopped by as an aside on my drive home from the bars and he made me feel welcome and as if my purchase was not an Inconvenience in any way.
There’s a reason why this location gets such a low rating… simple as that. Avoid giving them your business so that this location learns their lesson. Incompetence, unprofessional, unethical, unorganized.
I had an issue with a GreenDot card purchased from Walgreens, for my daughter at Christmas. Since it was a Christmas gift, the person who purchased it has since thrown out receipt. (Since the other two
The staff are all friendly and helpful, but the pharmacy is woefully understaffed every time I’ve been. Every medication pickup takes a long time. Will be switching to somewhere else next round.
My psychiatrist prescribes me Alprazolam, which is no ones business. However these are the comments that have been made to me by the current pharmacists at Walgreens on Morrison;
They're one of, if not the only 24 hour drug store in all of Charlotte and they're closed from midnight - 6:00am because they don't pay their employees enough.
Slowest pharmacy in America. Clear your schedule if you plan on picking up medication anytime during the day.
These people are the worse. There is no leadership and they lie about everything. I am never going back!
This pharmacy will not pick up the phone EVER. Sat on hold for 45 minutes and finally hung up.
Completely incompetent pharmacy staff that are also rude.
