I understand the policy of having people with back packs or big bags leave them by the registers, because I know this area deals with a lot of theft… but the way the security handled telling myself and another guy to leave our bags was so abrupt and accusatory right off the bat. The other man refused and left. Then the guard asked if that guy was my boyfriend? Just a strange thing to ask someone, which I felt clearly we didn’t look like we were together (the man was much older than me, we just happened to walk in simultaneously). Also, my sling bag is not big it just goes on my back but I use it as my purse with my money and cards inside. A woman in line had a much bigger bag that went around her shoulder… so it was weird that my bag would be seen as more suspicious than a giant purse. I asked to put it behind the counter in fear it would be stolen if I left it next to the door where the security guard instructed me to put it. He told me “no” and to place it on a stool next to the exit. I took my valuables out of it because someone could definitely just grab my bag on the way out and that security guard would not have been able to respond whether he was actively watching my bag or not. He said “I won’t touch your stuff” or something along those lines… I was just thinking ‘I’m not worried about you touching my stuff, but this is Albuquerque and I worry about someone else swiping my valuables in a second.’ Anyway, I really didn’t want to go to this Walgreens but had to because the one on 12th street was closed due to a power outage. I’m going to continue to avoid this location due to the sketchy area and the rude security. They just need better training in customer service. Don’t treat your customers like criminals and offer to keep their valuables behind the counter if you need to ask them to keep bigger bags up front while they shop.
This store has been disappointing and infuriating in just about every way this week alone. From failing to send a full delivery order, not answering the phone, staff being rude, out of uniform and without nametags and even attempting to AVOID customers. Such as one shift lead who was wearing ripped acid washed denim jeans, no formal shirt, airpods, and the only way you’d know he’s a shift lead is because he was wearing a uniform vest, we went in and asked for a manager, he lazily came up and the second he came around the aisle and saw us tried hiding and acting childish like we were dumb and hadn’t seen him. I approached him knowing he’s a shift lead, and he just ignored me and lazily went to the office to call his manager there. As one who works at a location with barely enough staff to run, they have no excuse to take 2 hours to even scan and bag a few boxes of cheez-its, a brush, and detergent for delivery. I’ve been painfully ill all week and their the closest location that does pickups and deliveries and they’ve been basically nothing but difficult with me, and making hard to have things I need, let alone just want around, without having to put myself through more pain to get up and go to the store. I’ve gotten them to answer the phone once out of dozens of calls, the cashier was rude and hung up after taking me off hold instead of helping. The only thing I don’t hate about this location is the area. The fact that Matt or other district leaders are not trying to improve these issues is upsetting.
I'm dropping my 3-star rating down to a one, and I would put it in the negative if I could. I liked this Walgreens, but I cannot excuse the gross, arguably illegal behavior of one of their security staff, or the failure of corporate to address the issue when I called their line. A few weeks ago, I went to this Walgreens in the evening to make a few purchases, and when I came outside there was a man sitting in a wheelchair having some troubles. He had had a stroke, he told me, and his wheelchair was broken. I let him use my phone to make a call, then tried to see if I could repair his wheelchair a bit. I had a bike trailer and a backpack with me. Security came outside and told me that I couldn't have my bike trailer up by my store — then said that the man couldn't have his things up there either, and the only things he had was his wheelchair. They told a disabled man who had a stroke that he couldn't have his wheelchair at the store. That's illegal. And it's disgusting. I called corporate, and they acted very concerned, and said they would get back to me next week. It has now been 2 weeks, and I haven't heard from them. Therefore, I think it's time for the public to know about how to store treats disabled people. I only wish the disabled man had had someone to advocate for him, as he could have probably sued this store for everything it's worth. As for me, I don't plan to come back.
To Alexander (pharmacy operations manager) and pharmacists (Rae and Sandra)…The three of you exemplify what good customer service and what Walgreens stands for is all about…Alexander thank you for taking the time to explain to me the process that is sometimes required for obtaining newer medications. Rae, you went FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND in helping me so I did not run out of a crucial medication. Sandra, your courtesy and professionalism as we BITH learn about this new medication I’m taking is far beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I am newly diagnosed as a type2 diabetic (within the last 4 months) and while I’ve been fortunate that I do have excellent insurance….the process to obtain the newest medication and treatments on the market has been frustrating to say the least. However the 3 employees whom I’ve mentioned above have been absolutely incredible. I will say this….ask questions about your medications that you are taking or need to get filled. As I have learned….the overwhelming majority of the issues with getting prescriptions filled are not with Walgreens but rather with the physicians who DO NOT take the extra step of filling out pre authorization forms and submitting to insurance so that when you do go to pick up your prescriptions there aren’t any issues.
Placed my order online. Checked in fifteen minutes before I got there. Checked in when I got there and waited. After fifteen minutes I had to get out of my car go into the store. The cashier in front had to page Destiny because she was nowhere to be found. Then Destiny was was told the name on the order and shuffled through bags as if she didn’t know what she was doing. After Destiny was told the name on the order three times she still couldn’t find my order. Destiny has to ask what was on the order and then she was able to find it. One star today for Destiny’s unprofessional attitude towards customers waiting for her to do her job. I mean she got the order, she got notified when I was 15 minutes away, she got notified when I was outside. There was no excuse. No long line when I went in. Sad! Maybe she needs to be transferred to a different department and/or retrained in the curbside pickup procedure.
This store never fails to find more and different ways to disappoint. I have never had a positive experience here. I made an appointment for a COVID shot, filled out paperwork, stood in line, to be told that they didn’t have the vaccine, after they had confirmed my appointment. Separate occasion: stood in line for my scrip. When it was finally my turn, they had to charge me full price because their computers were not allowing them to run it through my insurance. Last occasion: Today I waited in line at the drive-thru. When I arrived at the window, I was told that they were closing because it was 3:00 p.m. Their hours are normally til 7:00 p.m., but today they closed the store at 3:00 p.m.
Y'all are complaining about the area and people like its Walgreen's fault. I live in old town neighborhood and there's homeless EVERYWHERE. Of course their gonna go into Walgreen's. And the staff is ptettynrude bit I've worked customer service and its usually necaise customers are pretty rude. Lastly somebody complained about their medications not beimgnready I take like 10 different prescriptions and Walgreen's is always on point with them The only thing I will say its their always out of stock on items in the store and their a not pricey.
I was in that area and went into this Walgreens on the corner of Rio Grande and Central. I finished shopping and went to the cash register where I was greeted by a wonderful young man named Eric, I found him to be patient even under pressure, what I mean that the line was building and he did call for assistance but he did his job calmly and still gave me the respect I deserved as a customer, it's hard to find good customer service and Eric had great customer service. Thank you Walgreens and thank you to Eric
Avoid getting prescriptions at Walgreens, their systems were down. They wouldn't answer the phone, when they did answer a male pharmacy employee got on the line saying our systems are down, we don't know when theyll be up. After being on hold for 25 minutes, I hung up. He never asked what I needed or the reason for the call? SAD, for a pharmacy to treat customers like this. Needless to say I contacted the urgent care, had my scripts routed elsewhere, since Walgreens can't get it together.
Went there at 9:40PM because my three year old had a UTI and needed cranberry juice. Ran up to the doors with my two young daughters, the door was already locked as I looked in side I see the woman chashier ringing a man up. So I knocked on the door and the lady just looks at me, gives me a dirty look and continues with the customer. Customers should be able to rely on their neighborhood Walgreens to be open when they say they are open and not close 20 minutes early.
This the worst store I’ve ever came to especially the pharmacy, the supervisor of the pharmacy looks high as a kite and wants to cop a attitude because she didn’t have my meds ready even tho she sent a text to confirm there ready then she wants to just stand there for about 30 minutes and purposely not get my meds , I need to talk to someone above her because this is unacceptable
Called to refill my prescription and they said the don't have any they have to order more how do they not have and in stock?now i have to go with out my prescription for the weekend until they said Mon or maybe Tues .Very unprofessional ! I will change pharmacy do to this I can't risk my health on a business that don't care.this is the 2nd time it happened .
I happened upon the Walgreens looking for school supplies for my children. The selection of items fit all my needs and the staff was very personable and friendly. This Walgreens does not have the common “beauty counter” section we see in more modern stores. This store has aisles without even many end caps.
It's kind of worthless to be labeled a "pharmacy" when the pharmacy is never opened. Went to urgent care at 5pm (Saturday), had my meds sent to the pharmacy but they were already closed. Next day (Sunday) went to see about my meds that were called in and the pharmacy is now closed on Sundays …
The staff at Walgreen's, in all departments, are always friendly and helpful. The pharmacy staff, especially, have gone out of their way to be helpful, making sure I get the prescriptions and shots that I need. We enjoy going to this store, which we do almost every other day.
Cassie is incredible! Great hiring decision Walgreens! I went in and normally I don’t like when im approached while shopping but Cassie was so kind and very very helpful in every way! I actually live across town but I would DEFINITELY go there again just to see her. 11/10
Avoid if you can. Pharmacy staff gives inconsistent and vague information and closes early with no notice after telling patients prescriptions will be filled the same day. People depend on medications to survive. Walgreens needs to sort out its staffing issues.
This corporation does not care about the neighborhood or its community. with billions in profit they can hire cleaning and maintenance crews. Exposed electrical wires and garbage everywhere. your money is a vote. Shop some place that cares.
It was okay. The store was stocking stuff and boy was it crazy with isles fun of merchandise that needed to put on shelves and no one working on it. There was also things just put on shelves that were in empty place still in boxes.
Monica works at the cosmetics counter and is terrific. She seems to know where everything is in the store (including home health items) and could direct us there exactly without having to look. She was friendly and very helpful.
The Pharmacy has terrible customer service. One of the techs is extremely rude and tells other employees to help me when she sees me drive up. I changed Pharmacies due to her poor and aggressive behavior. Such a shame Walgreens.
Pharmacy staff is super-helpful & really friendly. Front store staff are fast and efficient. Store is well-stocked and always clean no matter when I go in. Professionals like this make my life easier and I appreciate it.
Pharmacist was extremely rude. I wasn't able to see her name but she is older with curly dark brown hair. The only upside to the pharmacy are the two young gentlemen that work there. They are always pleasant and helpful.
This place is pretty sketchy. The workers don't seem to care and move at a snail's pace. Last time I was there a guy walked straight out the door with two handfuls of stolen products. The cashiers just laughed. #pokegym
Pharmacy staff is EXCELLENT! Always going out of their way to help customers. Thanks Ashley, Alma, Alex, Paula and the others I don't know so well! I can trust my meds to be on time and correct! Love you all!
The pharmacy at this location is beyond horrible. The staff is rude and lacks any type of customer service or communication tact. I've had countless issues regarding prescriptions at this location.
This is specifically for the pharmacy. I am guessing they are short-staffed, but the last two times I’ve been here - the women helping me have been wretched. I’d recommend trying another pharmacy.
This Walgreen's us horrible espically their pharmacy.Don't need more training. They don't know their job title or how to give you the correct change. Please beware i will never good here again.
The staff is excellent. They have always treated me well. Although recently I'm seeing a drastic change in staff. This has me worried. The pharmacy is the best.
They take the longesg to get your prescription ready! And their hours are a lie! They close early! Do not recommend coming here to get your prescriptions!!
Thank you Walgreens for all you do and especially the pharmacy, you work hard ,take care of a whole lotta orders , and now testing and shots- we love you !
Pharmacy supervisor is unprofessional and uneducated when in comes to pharmacology. How can someone be hired if they don't know anything about it.
Pretty much what you'd expect from a Walgreens. Has a great selection of goods and very friendly staff who welcome you when you enter the store.
They are a pharmacy but they don't actually care about sick people. No public restrooms for people with disabilities. I'd skip these hypocrites.
No enforcement of mask wearing in the store. I just stood behind a man checking out with no mask and not a word was said despite the signs.
Crazy drivers at Central and Rio Grande corner but this Walgreens has everything you'd expect and the check out people are always friendly
The pharmacy was a bit slow but had all medications my doctor sent over. I use this place for most household items and small food items.
I get my subscriptions here but i could also place an order for other items they have in stock and pick them up there at the same time.
Restrooms closed, even for children in emergency. Apparently employees never go to the bathroom. Worst customer service ever.
The worst customer service. The manager down to the cashier has the worst customer service skills. Major attitude problems.
Awesome Service! Kevin, the young man upfront was polite and extremely helpful. Mentioned he was new, great job!
Alex B the pharmacy tech was super personable and kind! Thank you for helping me with my congestion needs!
Going on my list of stores i will never ever do business with again. Corporate thieves.
Everything you'd expect from a Walgreens. The staff here we kind, quite, and helpful.
When it comes to customer service, Kevin is a god among men. God bless you Walgreens
Rude staff at the pharmacy... had a long wait... the store is clean and organized
Great place to purchase sim cards, greeting cards and last minute items.
Great selection of cologne and perfect for a quick in and out experience
the cashier thanked me for not stealing. lmao i love albuquerque
Hated it, lady was rude and sassy
