I can say I agree with other people that I have received the wrong dosage of my prescription here before, but has only happened that one time and when I went to return it they told me they couldn't take it back, state regulations. I have been hung up on multiple times because they were busy and couldn't ask me to hold on. When I finally did get through to them, they said that my prescription would take a few hours to fill, but the very next day I receive a message that prescription is out of stock. What was frustrating about this experience when I called and asked if they could transfer it to a different Walgreens they got frustrated at me and told me that I had to call the Walgreens I wanted it to be transferred too. How was I supposed to know that before I called? I have been super patient with this pharmacy after being hung up on twice and lied to when my prescription would be ready, waiting two days, and when I call I am polite to them but yet they are short with me? That is beyond frustrating. I understand that working in customer service can be incredibly hard dealing with people, but they also need to understand what their customers are going through as a result from the way they choose to interact with people.
I had the most uncomfortable and unbelievably RUDE experience with a red headed kid behind the cash register. I walked in to purchase medicine and feminine products. I didn’t know that Walgreens was going to come up as a “fraud alert” because the purchase was a high (almost $100) purchase. I logged in and couldn’t get the alert to go away but I saw the charge from Walgreens processing so I asked to try again or to have him remove something or completely because it had already gone through. He looked me in the eye, grabbed the bag and said “for security we don’t want you to steal” and moved the bag back. He then announced to the line that had now formed behind me “she cant pay the whole amount” and lifting my feminine products into the air for another (teen) manager to see… I asked them how I could just get my money back and he said “ I guess” his manager told me. “We’ll try, but depending on your bank theres no guarantee we can void the amount”. When he did finally void it when I was borderline tearing from the embarrassment, he wouldn’t even given me his name or any information showing me they voided my purchase and I still had to contact my bank to get it returned. The cashier was laughing when I left. DO BETTER.
I scheduled my dad for his fifth Covid shot here (he's immune compromised and it was suggested by his doctor) and when we went in we were first ignored by the pharmacist for about five minutes while he pretended not to see us, so I went to the prescription pickup area instead and was ignored there for a few minutes. When I finally got someone's attention she told me that no one was giving fifth shots and that my dad must have "misunderstood" the CDC website and his doctor. She was rude and condescending and spoke to us in a really unprofessional way, talking to my dad like he was a child, and eventually we just walked away because it wasn't worth it. We went to the CVS across the street and got fantastic service and he received his fifth vaccine there without even needing an appointment.
It's pretty impressive that this Walgreens seems to be the best in the area in terms of hours and staffing. That is to say, this Walgreens is the Rat King, in that the Walgreens franchises in this area excel in being astronomically bad. Somehow, no matter how many days early I call my prescriptions in, they somehow manage to find new reasons to delay said prescriptions. There's only so many days I can call ahead before my insurance won't allow me to refill it, Todd. This Walgreens has taught me pill rationing as a survival skill, and for that I am begrudgingly grateful. Thank you for at least not telling me to call the pharmacy while I am in the drive thru lane, as other Walgreens have requested of me. I am seeking other less abusive pharmacies, such as Albertsons.
Drive through pharmacy has the worst costumer service. They are rude disrespectful and take way too long. After waiting 15 minutes for a prescription that was supposed to be ready they then told me to go to back of the line because of their mistakes with our insurance. When I suggested I will wait for them the Lady then said she would call the manager and the cops to move me to the back of the line. The mildly infuriating part was their speaker was broken so that she and I both had to yell to hear each other. The Walgreens franchise has gone to Trash and even though my neighborhood one has gotten better when I have to go to others like this one I seriously consider switching pharmacies.
Don't even try to call the pharmacy. Been on hold for 2.5 hours and hung up on 4 times. This has to be the worst pharmacy in Albuquerque. Why are they allowed to treat patients like this. They are 100% Rude every time I have had to speak with pharmacy staff. They condescend to you like we are stupid or wrong for something. I would just like to pick up my meds 1 time and have an easy peaceful experience. If you can avoid it, pick another pharmacy. You will surely regret it. And if you have controlled substance and you are stuck with these guys, you are doomed.
I had one time that I had someone to pick up my kidney medicine and the staff at the pharmacy screwed it up. I didn’t get my medicine even though they sent me a text that it was ready. I called the pharmacy and they pretty much told me “oh well”!. I have been trying to get a hold of a manager, to no avail.. Now I have to pay someone to pick it up for me. The staff is incompetent because they can’t figure things out!! I will be moving all my prescriptions out of there again. Don’t use them, they can’t figure out what they are doing!!!!!!!
Pharmacy has one or two helpful people working it, the rest that work here are rude. When asking about prescriptions if you have never taken something before, they act like it isn’t apart of their job to help you and make asking those questions as uncomfortable as possible. Also if there is a line, finish the line before closing or don’t allow anyone past the closing hours. I can understand needing to follow hours of operation, but making an exception for one person and not the last person in the line is very disrespectful.
This Walgreens is trash. I don't know who is managing the store but it is a joke. Closed down departments because they don't have enough staff. Offer better wages and staff better please. The lines are insane. They can't get anything right in the pharmacy. The pharmacists have no clear communication. The store just seems like it's all hodgepodge together, with no actual organization or supervision of departments. It is absolutely worth your time to go out of your way to go to a different Walgreens, CVS or Albertsons.
The lady with dark hair was very rude. No customer service skills at all. "Scrappy" as she said. I definitely will be going to a competitor store. Ive always loved walgreens but this is just ridiculous. I wont come back until she is gone. She had her hair up and she worked the photo department. She had a mole on her face. She continued to talk about me as i walked away.
This has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had shopping at a Walgreens. The worker who helped me was someone named Becky and she was very rude to me a paying customer meanwhile a shoplifter was just walking out and she just watched. That is really disappointing that this Walgreens doesn't value its paying customers. I will never return to this Walgreens
If I could write a review without giving a star rating this would not even get one star! This Walgreens has the worst customer service especially the “manager Vicky” who just kept rolling her eyes back instead of helping. I will not be returning to this Walgreens and suggest anyone reading this review to shy away from it. It’s not worth the headache!
The associates at this pharmacy are very rude and disrespectful. Every time I’ve called they act like they are very irritated to help you if you don’t enjoy your job I think it should be time to find a new one. They lack customer service and people skills so if you’re thinking of going to this pharmacy, just know that you will be treated very rude.
Absolutely the sorriest Walgreens in Albuquerque metro! Worst (so called) management I've ever experienced in my 30+ years being a Walgreens customer. Definitely switching to a competitor, any competitor would surely be better than than this B S. If it were possible to post a review with zero stars I would do it!
Literally the worst, rudest, not properly trained pharmacy people I have ever had to deal with. ***If you have important medications to take; DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY; they will take 10 years to fill your prescription and will then blame you for getting the wrong ones that they gave to you.
The people here are so rude that work during the weekdays!!! Including the pharmacist. They ignore you and when they do acknowledge you it's with an attitude and the wait times are completely ridiculous. Don't come to this Walgreens for your prescription! Way better places without attitudes.
Walgreens may be the largest pharmacy- but are indeed the worst. They drop the ball- pass the blame onto physicians, insurance plans & customers!!! It took 4 days & they still could not fill a script - will never go back- everyone from “shift leaders” to management lazy & disrespectful.
Hands down has to be the worst Pharmacy possible 30 minute wait time after I scheduled an appointment for a drive-thru covid test just be told that I need to come inside. What kind of logic is that I have covid potentially and you guys are wanting me to come inside utter stupidity
The drive thru pharmacy on Montgomery is the absolute SLOWEST pharmacy of all of them. They nevertheless have enough people working in the pharmacy. Anytime you ask why they are so slow the excuse the employees give is because Walgreens won't hire people because of cost.
Pharmacy staff have very little social skills. People taking prescriptions should have more empathy for sick people. I know they are short-staffed, but they are dealing with the public and need more compassion and a caring attitude! Very disappointed in this pharmacy.
Location is not the easiest, as there is a busy parking lot and lots of traffic. I waited here for an hour with a toddler and crying sick infant to be told my insurance information was wrong (it wasn't). Two different techs did not enter in
My family and I were shopping at this location and my 4yr old needed the bathroom. The super rude manager refused to let us use the bathroom. We told her it was for our 4yr old and all she said was the bathrooms are closed. I get that we’re
Well I switched from the one on Carlisle and Central but there it wasn't because of the pharmacy - they were great but the front staff was rude and condescending and I switched to this one and at first, I was treated with appropriate humor
This walgreens is so awful, especially getting your prescription from the pharmacist. The staff from the pharmacy are extremely rude accept one lady. I was told to come in one hour and they will have it ready, so after an hour I came
I had a very good experience. I came here from another Walgreen’s. They were able to help me with a simple insurance fix to Walgreen’s records. I appreciate the extra effort. I liked this Walgreen’s !
Today, my mother and I, went to the Walgreens on 5001 Montgomery Blvd NE Albuquerque NM, 87109. It is In the same shopping center as Burlington, Other Mothers, Ross, the Scrubs Store and many more.
The store itself is fine. But the pharmacy... wow. Literally the worst walgreens pharmacy on town. If I could give negative stars I would. Go somewhere else.
The pharmacy people are terrible especially the Asian girl that works she should be fired she's seriously the most hateful rude person I've ever come across
My 3 year old peed her pants because they wouldn’t let us use the restroom. They also told us to use the Chick-fil-A restroom across the street.
Pharmacist are extremely rude! Bad attitudes. I will change where I get my medicine to another location! . Always in hurry. Bad customer service
