I reserved a pick-up order between 7-8pm. I checked in while in route, parked at 7:30pm, and selected parking spot #1 on the app. I had to wait about 30 min before someone came out with my order. Even then, instead of going to the car in parking spot #1, the store associate asked a guy standing nearby if he was Price, to which he replied no, and she was about to go back with the items. I had to roll my window down and say I’m Price. There was no verification. She proceeded to put the items in my trunk. I told her I did not want one of the substituted items; it was too late to make changes in the app when I noticed the change. She said it wasn’t there and that they must’ve removed it already. That was odd to me since I never gave them any indication that I didn’t want it. She was nice enough to give me a favor bag with candy and wished me happy holidays. But after she left I checked the items in my trunk, only to find less than half of the items I ordered. I called the 2 phone numbers on the sign of the parking space. Neither number was good. I checked online and couldn’t find a phone number for that particular Walmart. After fruitlessly waiting 10 min for another associate to come out, I went inside the store and approached 2 employees by saying, “excuse me” at least twice. They continued on with their conversation and one walked off. The other turned toward me and I told her what happened. She asked my name and parking space # and said to go back to my car and they would bring it out. About 10 min later, another lady came out, almost passing the car (it was dark outside). She said she had the rest of my items and loaded them in the trunk, again without any verification of who I was. I checked everything again after she finished and was finally able to leave nearly an hour after I arrived. I still had to request a refund for the substituted item that I didn’t want. Luckily I was able to do it online without having to physically return the item.
Let me be clear and upfront. I had an appointment with Dr. Jane McDow in the Vision Center. This review is related to that visit, her unbelievably accommodating(& hilarious) staff of ladies and how I actually ended up there. But 1s[ let me circle back and say that this Walmart has changed in a positive direction since I was last here. So yea! Now the day before my appointment I spent about 3 hours combing the directories and more importantly reading every review of every facility and it's drs and staff. I don't do this on the reg but I hadn't seen an eye doctor in awhile and I wanted to be sure of what I was walking in to. I'll just say this. I would not have willingly walked in to any of the many many offices for eye care here after reading real reviews from people who did walk in to those places. Seriously? I was shocked and eventually disgusted that these places and drs were in the healthcare industry at all. Only 1 out of at least 20 I read about. Was different. Can't remember the name but in the Broadmoor area and apparently nothing to look at but the single lady Dr there had nothing less than full 5 star reviews and was booked 3 months out. I want to see this place 1 day. I finally just looked up Vision center at Walmart and funny enough there were NO reviews. Anything was better than the horror show that is apparently every other eye care facility in New Orleans. Needless to say, Dr McDow and those amazing ladies have their 1st review and there is nothing to describe my satisfaction and joy over finding this Optical Oasis in the least obvious environment. Cheers ladies. You are amazing!
It was my first time visiting walmart branch, all the things I heard about walmart great service, variety and basically buy everything there is felt like a hoax. I wanted to buy several basic items, all where missing beside one, that I was also told they don't have and only when I asked again and showed them the picture, they found it. One of things I wanted to buy was harmonica. One lady didn't know what it was... Another lady said they might have one, so I told her I saw the harmonica for kids and wasn't interested in that but she still lead me to the kids harmonica. One more item was locked, I had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone to get there with the keys. They called several times for assistant and finally when the lady came she told them she was out for lunch and left the keys behind the counter. I didn't receive any discount for that misserale experience. When my lyft arrived, I told her about the experience and asked if there is a better branch than this one. She confirmed this branch is terrible and she goes to other branches.
It's a pandemic people. The mayor has mandated everyone wear a mask to protect others. Wal-Mart has been cited for employees not following the mandate at several locations. I had to stop at Wal-Mart to pick up an item that would take too long for delivery. Top marks for having signs posted to wear a mask, but there's no-one enforcing the rules. Hand sanitizer stations throughout the store is great, but what is a concern are the people coughing and laughing over the food and products you are potentially going to buy. Not going back to this store for sure. If employees who are predominately in the community spreader age range of 18-29 years old refuse to wear mask properly why would I expect these same employees to request customers to put his/her mask back on or to wear the mask as designed. Do better people please!
Despite a number of staff working on stocking shelves, there are some odd gaps in their inventory. In cosmetics, most setting sprays are out of stock... and while I understand the lack of fairer skin tone foundation in a Louisiana Walmart, setting sprays are fairly universal and necessary. Also concerning.. the woman at the counter for fried chicken and sides dropped one of my tenders in the mashed potatoes and still put it in my serving .. not a huge deal for me, a little potato isn't going to kill me... but there's a cross contamination issue there. Both for people with allergies and the impact of meat and breading in those potatoes until that tray is discarded. Hopefully that happened shortly after...
1st, this light skinned pharmacy worker wouldn't help me. Obviously, I really needed your help because I came back to her to help me. She was just walking around. There weren't any customers!!! finally found someone close by who was doing stock, and she helped me. Ridiculously crowded and 3 registers open as well as the self check out lines. I got paranoid cause I didn't have my mask with me. Because it was that many people in there. I'm not playing with this COVID stuff. My issue was the price for fluid pills. I was gonna purchase it because I really needed it, I just walked out. Prices are getting ridiculous on certain things at Walmart. Waiting in the lines, it was just too long.
Our trip to the Walmart in NOLA was typical of just about any Walmart trip. It was well organized and clean which is excellent because some aren’t. I appreciated being able to find most of what I was seeking while I was there. The only complaint I have is some of the staff were rude. They didn’t smile, their answers to questions were short and abrupt, and they seemed to be more annoyed than readily willing to service the customers. It was slightly disappointing. I’d love to provide them with the benefit of the doubt and assume they were just tired and ready to go home, however I hope that perhaps they will learn to be more friendly with customers in the future.
If we wonder why we have racism, check out the energy Walmart add to the community. I'm extremely offended by their choice to single out a particular race of products. We know it's not too protect from thief's because thieves steal anything that's available. How can we overcome racism when we have large organizations boldly offending and singling out a particular group of people. When I see this and I think about the black on white crime, I think Walmart is responsible for suggesting such hate. Theirs cause and effect. Walmart your the cause of the impact on racial violence.
Oh I am so disappointed in this store!! Have you ever heard the customer is always right? Well not the case with this Walmart...in the beginning... Well after my friend spoke with the manager about a situation that I had brought to the lead clerk who wanted to argue me down...she made it good..but the workers there acted as though they were pissed they had to come to work. My friend said one of the women were looking at me like she wanted to snatch my weave out You guys need to improve on your customer service skills please and thank you! GET IT TOGETHER WALMART!!!
This location hardly ever have the items I need. They are removing all of the cashiers for self check out. I hate the fact that they are doing that. Walmart find a way to get free labor out of their customers. I hate it and that’s why I don’t go in there unless the Winn-Dixie or Rouse’s on Tchoupitoulas don’t have what I need. The lines are always crowded bc people take forever in self checkout and the manager just sit and watch without opening up lines, even though there’s cashier standing in self checkout watching customers ring up themselves. I hate this location
UPDATE: Literally the worst Walmart. Just because I was with my partner buying alcohol and they didn’t have their ID but I did, they wouldn’t sell it me. This Walmart should be ashamed of themselves. I have been a customer here for many years and to be treated like this is disgusting. You need to fire the old lady at the alcohol section and cashier on Saturday, July 8 at 8pm. PLEASE upgrade your alcohol section. There’s no reason everyone has to stand one line to get someone to open the alcohol container and checkout in the same line. FIX THIS. WE ARE NOT CHILDREN.
Walmart should be ashamed for having this right at the front door. Are ready to go toys too much to ask for. I had to literally pry my kids hand off the box. I spent my $30 so you don’t have to. Unless you’re married to a mechanical engineer who can unscrew the battery case to insert the 3 AAA batteries for the thing to actually light up. An utter disappointment. If I spend $30, it should already be assembled with batteries and a pull tag to activate it. Disney was doing this 20 years ago. Returning this immediately. Ain’t nobody got time!!!!
Beware of this Wal Mart. Yes the staff is rude but that is all locations. This particular one steals from its customers. They intentionally mis label shelf giving you an incorrect amount and when you try to dispute it they treat you like your nothing. They especially do this when you purchase wine or spirits. The shelf has one price, they ring you up for three times the amount and then say that it is against the law to refund money on beer. But it's ok to steal from customers. If you have any other choice do not shop here.
Everything you wanted was in plain view, and if you didn't see it, they have staff on the floor who can tell you which Isle to go through. The only bad experience I had was at the Cashier they have these cashless Registers, and after waiting in line for 10mns I realized what was happening. I called the Manager and explained to him I'm not a US Citizen and not familiar with your system and if he can assist me. After waiting another 5mns a Cashier came on and I went to her.
By far the worst WalMart experience we’ve ever had!!! No one greeted us, the employees at the self checkout were the rudest people ever! When we asked for help she rolled her eyes and scanned her card! When we said “Thank You we got “Yeah” as a response! We got the register that was card only no cash option and when we asked her opened her eyes big and nodded “yes” as in to say “yes duh” . This was our first time in New Orleans and will NOT be going back to this Walmart
Vast selection with recent improvements in the produce, frozen foods, and alcohol sections. Shelves are kept well stocked. Winn Dixie is still my go-to for better quality meat. I don't find the cashiers to be slow as some other reviewers do, but if you get there after 11AM on a weekend, all checkout lines are going to be at least 3 deep. Cashiers have been positive and friendly as of late which has not always been the case. Floor staff is hit or miss.
Customer service at the store is non-existent. If you want something behind a case, forget it. No one's going to open the case for you. Waited 20 minutes for the paint case to be opened. Was told by a manager that they didn't know who had the key. Me and another guy threw up our hands and left. This happens every time I'm in the store. I usually have to leave without what I need. Huge waste of time. I choose to shop elsewhere whenever I can.
It's great for all-in-one shopping. It's a hit and miss when you locate a friendly employee. There's little to no available cahiers. Be careful of items scanned more than once And, my goodness, if you leave a bag- don't call for you won't get an answer. When this occurs, I just count it as a blessing distributed. All in all, there are good, bad, ugly, ups and downs. But, that's life. I adapt to the environment and continue to shop there.
Great produce and protein for selection and price. App helps with aisle location, price check, and payment option. The self checkout line is not nearly as bad as it used to be without self checkout. Parking and driving through the parking lot is a bit crazy with so many people stopped in the fire lane. There is a band of guinea hens that have made this their home, and they are a little scary up close, but also heartwarming
Everette has been nothing short of helpful and the meaning of taking care of his customers and exemplifying amazing customer service. What was an unfortunate digital glitch that could have been unresolved, turned into literally making my day and making things right. Also never reviewed this, but once went in there for a papasan chair and one sweet lady went above and beyond for me to find this chair lol, thank you guys.
I was on this side of river and shopped at this location. My sister suggested that we shop here and I thanked her.I found everything I needed in one stop. Yesterday evening my sister went to pick up some things for my mother and the cashier coming on the evening shift was totally rude. Whomever is over the cashier in the pharmacy ,please retrained her on customer service. Maybe she needs to work behind the scenes.
The worst Walmart I've ever been to without question. I'd heard a few years ago that this location had the highest theft rate of any Walmart nationwide. I thought it was just a rumor until a manager in the store confirmed it to me. Don't believe the app / website when it says something is in stock because too many times I've made that mistake with something I really needed.
I didn't like this store and I'll shop at neighborhood stores while traveling to see if the standards of GA stores are the same. New Orleans needs to revamp their system. No cashiers making customers scan their food is absorbed. Then to see 10 associates sitting at a register just congregating with lines backed up. I will never want to visit a Walmart in this area again.
Don't care for their policy on booze purchases. If it's locked in a cabinet, you have to go to the register next to the cabinet. The line was a mile long. They had the cheap booze locked up, but the expensive stuff was out on display. That stuff you could take to any register. Makes no sense. Needless to say, I didn't buy it there. I went to a more user-friendly store.
Terrible this location in New Orleans don’t have damn person to answer with issues. I call 60 times. Requested a manager on duty they hung up on me order no manager was available. Placed a grocery order express delivery at 3:58 kept delaying by 10pm nothing. Then order was canceled. My Granddaughters formula was on this order. I will be calling District.
Was in there and they had about 14 or 15 self checkouts, all active mind you and only had 3 actual live human cashier's, I stood in that line for about 15 minutes with only 3 people ahead of me because the cashier needed a supervisor for her current customer, yes I took that long to find one ... smh ... I don't think I will be going back to this one ...
Most of the workers are Great!!! They are very helpful and nice!! They were out of bikes and it was the 4th place I had tried getting one! But the guy went and found me one in the back in a box and brought it to me!! I was so happy!! Been going here for 2 years now and most of the time they have everything I need!! Good work everyone!!
This Walmart trash. The people who work and operate this store should be ashamed. I’m sure they’re not. Bought a taped and packaged item, went to dinner, then went home to open item. An entire different brand item was inside the box and it was used. And of course when I went to return the item immediately Customer service is closed.
This Walmart refuses to update their hours online. For well over a year their hours are incorrect. Call ahead if you intend to go, even on a weekend in the middle of the day they may be closed (happened to me mid-March 2022). Hours on door clearly different than hours online. Google won’t update for some reason.
I miss the days of a 24/7 Super Center, but this store lived up to its name. I forgot to pack dress pants, and got some that fit (off the rack) just in time for my 8 a.m. business breakfast. They do open at 6 a.m., so I had plenty of time. Clean store. Friendly, helpful employees, lots of security on site.
I rate this against other Wal Marts. Very clean. Very neat. Employees were actually very helpful. One employee even insisted of walking me to the product I asked about. Well stocked. Nice appearance. Very large store. This store is tucked away and without Google maps I never would have found it.
It's Walmart... what else can you say? You'll probably see half a dozen people wearing pajamas and shower caps here, but the store seems clean and some members of the staff are friendly. Chances are, you'll be your own cashier here, so if you are efficient, you'll get fast and friendly service.
The door greeters were friendly and helpful. The ladies that worked in the self checkout was very helpful and kind. The customer service staff need a little bit compassion, self accessment, and humble themselves when assisting the public in any form customer service! Thank you, Carolyn Thomas
The staff is just incredibly rude. Especially the greeter with the short green hair. She’s the first and last person you see when going into the store, she should have a better attitude. Can’t even ask her a question without her snapping at you. I respect my elders but she makes it hard too.
Truly caught off guard! What WALMART closes at 10 pm? I am from Texas. This doesn't happen in Texas. The Security officer screamed at me for trying to open the door. How was I supposed to know? Went there again the next day. Its a different world. You won't find Pickled Pig Lips in Texas.
Coming from South Africa, a store this size blew my mind. Selection of products so vast that i had trouble to actually choose anything. Clean, good prices. The sheer amount of information that my unadapted male brain had to process left me totally exhausted and dizzy. Very impressive
This one is my favorite Walmart superstore. It’s clean and has nice wide isles for shopping with a cart. Easy checkout with lots of registers open. Deli section has lots to choose from and bakery has plenty yummy treats. Parking is easy to get to and traffic signage is helpful.
Unhelpful and dismissive staff. Items on shelf that don't ring up in their system and best they can do is blame vendors... but they don't bother pulling the item off the shelf or offering any alternative way to buy (like they could hand key it). Just dismissive and rude
Floor was very much slimy slippery and slick. I rfell very hard??? and hgit my head??/vgf qhh aghghhh tt i love walmart mmmmmdhuwqebj3B I THIML I HABE A CONCUSIION AHAHHAAHAHHABDBASJDOBCOAUSCJX HEEEHEEE slippery floor wa,vreens slippy wslippery slipy INSHALLAH
Consistently have to go hunt for a shopping cart in the parking lot, every visit, only a couple of baskets w bad wheels, not single usable cart, not one Quite literally EVERY visit. Add the perpetually empty shelves for a truly "pleasant" shopping experience.
Xavier was a HUGE HELP!!!! THANK YOU XAVIER at the Tchop location for helping me find the perfect battery!! You were such a blessing and we appreciate your help and service! Employee of the MoNth for sure!!! Great selection of personal care products …
This is horrible! This tow truck hauling cars in the parking lot came to me and said it will be towed my car because it was on top of the line and it start towing other people as well… please Walmart how do you allow to treat your customers that way
They asked for receipt as we were leaving. My husband did not notice I stopped. He was pushing the cart. The lady got mad so she shoved not only my receipt but also dug her nails into my hand. All I did was hand this rude old woman my receipt!!
Walmart is not my go-to store, but the south is not a Target kind of place, generally. Still, it had what I needed, the parking was plentiful, and I was pleased that it was in New Orleans proper, & not way out in the suburbs. It was alright.
It’s freshmen college move in weekend in New Orleans, and the lines have at least 10 people in them with no baggers to help the majority black female cashiers. Horrible staff treatment and terrible customer service. Do better Walmart.
Walk all the way from convention center, more than a mile maybe. This walmart is the worst I've ever visit. Went to look for a nail clipper, there was none. Waste of walking. I saw chickens roaming the parkong lot, like a 3rd world.
If u work they there they treat u bad they like to talk to u any kind and they don’t want u to get mad or u get fired they show favoritism that’s the only way to keep your job you they use you up tell they ready to get rid of you
This Walmart is local to me but for the most part it's not a bad experience. The pharmacy is awesome, very helpful and customer service is great and their door greeters are pleasant just don't expect alot of help on the floor....
Can't even get Wal Mart brand stuff. Even when you go early self checkout is slow. Only 2 machines open neither would take cash. Two employees said to pay cash to go to another line that was unattended. Wake up Wal Mart.
Wasn’t a super centre - was quite disappointed with the selections on display - men’s nightwear practically zero stocks - range of other clothes too was limited - no small sized Deodorant sticks - etc
Whoever that woman is that works in customer service is rude, she does what the hell she wants todo. Either work on your customer service or change jobs not just reap the rewards of Walmarts benefits.
Poor inventory....unhelpful sales clerks. If I ever decide to enter a WM again...it wilk be in Jefferson Parrish. And....WHY are Christmas displays already on the floor in the first week of October?
They had 12 Handicap buggies and none were operable. This as at 1109 am on 15th of June 2023. Very poor layout of merchandise/grocery. The metairie and Laplace stores much better.
The lady working the cash register was beyond rude and accused us of stealing until she finally saw that see had set the rest our item behind her. Even then she was still rude.
You don't see staff around to ask questions and when you do they'll say that is not my department. Store bathrooms are always filthy especially the women's absolutely terrible.
I was not expecting to see a full range of liquor and alcoholic beverage so easily accessible. Found quite a few deals on the clearance rack. Got some LSU stuff for my son.
I don't usually review Walmart, but this was the first walmart I've ever been too that didn't look like a walmart from the outside. Pretty cool that the building was brick.
This particular Walmart is always VERY busy as it the closest to the downtown area. I have never had a terrible wait in line and usually always am able to find what I need.
Terrible in home service/Walmart+ service. 1/2 of the deliveries get cancelled by the associate that you pay to deliver your orders. This location should be shut down.
Absolutely amazing not a single thing you could not get. TIP: With there website you can even navigate inside the store and it shows which article is in which row
It's a little hard to find the entrance but it's in a nice area and very well stocked lots of items I've never even seen before which was nice while on vacation.
These Walmarts here are terrible from customer service to sorry worker's they can't doing know right or at all cause everybody on there phones …
Said I couldn't return a DVD because it was opened, but the DVD I purchased didn't work (How would I know it wouldn't work without opening it?)
Too many things without a price. Often out of Generic cornflakes. Often out of greatfruit juice. Meat prices not as great as other places.
Everyone that works here are very friendly and help out if you have a question. They sell some bicycles and bicycles parts like tubes etc.
Not too busy; ample staff -- friendly & helpful. Some shelves a bit picked over -- to be expected on 'boxing day.' Overall, nice Walmart.
Just disgusting. The restrooms have a good of urine on the floors. Usually no towels or toilet paper. The store is in general chaos.
Top 5 one of the worst walmarts I've been to. Staff is incompetent, food consistently always has mold or is out of date. Just no.
45 minutes just to pay for a 12-pack of beer never again they had 25 people in line at every horrible I would not shop there for
They never have enough of produce or groceries stocked in store. I don't know why some Wal-Marts are well stocked then others.
The products I came to but were all locked up and had no assistance to reach them. Needless to say I left without a purchase
This Walmart is ok. I only go here occasionally. It's usually clean. Employees could be friendlier. Prices seem HIGH.
I’ve done pickup three times and it’s more than an hour wait for them to bring them out the door after you check in
I just love this Walmart. I'm a local, and it's local. They have everything I need and look for when I'm shopping
Large walmart Easy access to bus Large parking lot Good supply of toys Staff helpful McDonald located inside
It's ok, the service sucks sometimes, but it's alright to shop. We all have our good and bad days at work
Medium sized WMT location well kept easy access and parking. Great to have so convenient to city center.
Same layouts with most Wallmart Stores, well-stocked, Associate ready to assist you and well light up.
Very nice store. Went for some travel items and found everything I needed. In and out in 15 minutes.
Fresh off the plane. Needed some items. Good location. Huge Walmart. It has everything. Even liquor.
I ldo like Walmart you can fine almost everything at good price and save,I do recommend very much.
Parked for the night where trucks delivere, hopefully no problem, it is at the back of the store
Little jenky, don't go at night, but quick stop...just use the self checkout and you're fine
Could not find product I was looking for, however, promptness on customer service was a Plus
Friendly staff, up-to-date products, and clean aisles. I appreciate coming here every time.
Customer service isn’t the best. Some employees act like they don’t have time to help you.
They don’t restock but always have a new fleet of employees every two weeks. Good luck.
We went seeking a sd card for our camera and the Lady in electronics was VERY helpful.
This walmart has nice kind effective people working here. The neighborhood is great.
Typical walmart but way more self checkouts then I have seen before at any walmart.
employees were rude, eating at checkout and very very slow...store somewhat dirty!
Always available until 10 PM. I miss the good old days of 24 hour shopping though.
Clean , wish employees were a lil more helpful though.
Yes, they have it all . Friendly staff.gtray selection
Disorganized, but has good prices and kind people.
Clean and well stocked Found everything I needed
Nice enough store, stays busy though.
