"Well who can argue the Marshes? If you're taking your kid along make sure their Wellies are at least knee deep"
These marshes are wonderful, I count myself as incredibly lucky to have all this green space right on my doorstep. Teaming with wildlife, you can also forage if you know where to look and l make elderflower champagne and sloe gin every year …
Fabulous place the walk or run. Large open and generally overlooked. There are cow and horse in the stables to wonder across. It’s quiet and very generous on the eyes in the sun. A “hidden” gem. You feel like your nestled in the countryside.
Without a doubt my favourite place in London. So beautiful at all times of the year - with incredible nature, marshes, grazing cattle and meadows you can explore. A great place to get some peace and quiet, or to hang out with friends
These marshes are managed and great for walks, picnics and allow enjoyment for a city green space. The canal gives an idyllic boarder with additional boating life to sit back an enjoy or participate in.
Well who can argue the Marshes? If you're taking your kid along make sure their Wellies are at least knee deep.... Visit here in the depth of winter... The cold chill will do wonders for the kids...
Simply beautiful. Wild, natural and full of wonderful surprises. Flowers, birds, bees, butterflies, cows and plants to name a few. Space to walk and reconnect with nature. Just wonderful....
Stunning but quiet meadow. Tall grass in summer makes it ideal for a picnic. There is a protected nature Reserve in the marsh with cows, do it doesn't feel like you're near central London.
Designated as a Site of Scientific Interest, dissected by railway and bordered by the River Lea. Encompassing meadow, grass, wet and marshlands with important flora and fauna
How lucky are we to have this amazing space, so close and tranquil. Heard American Goldfinch and Eurasian Blackcap birds yesteday, (and possibly a Greater Peewee!)
Love this area, such a beautiful place, as lockdown eases lately and with temperature high, place has seen a increse on the number of people visiting
Really nice place to walk. Different paths leading to different areas of interest, and plenty of wildlife, and very close to walthamstow wetlands
Great place for picnic, walks and bike rides, by yourself, with your partner, friends or family. Flowers are beautiful scenes are breathtaking.
Not the naturalist type but this Park made me change my mind. Walking down the canal with peaceful stroll down the field is heavenly.
Lovely open grass areas with benches dotted about, views of the river, sunset, sunrise, birds/waterfowl, and plenty of good dogs :)
Lovely place, that feels like the middle of the country, in London! There's even cows! Beautiful walks along the canal …
Is a beautiful place to.go alone, with friends, family. The view gives you peace and silence everything around.
A nice relaxing place to walk and look at wildlife, plants and trees. Great place to take a microbreak.
Great place for a walk, many different paths and it's interesting seeing the canal boats.
Lovely place for walks, plenty of benches here and there to take a rest.
