This review concerns only the Invisalign service offered by Washington Elite. I do not at all recommend obtaining Invisalign treatment here, as the office’s practices are misleading. I do not mean that they intentionally mislead patients, but I believe they should disclose much more information at the outset of an Invisalign plan. Here’s my experience: When I was first told by my usual dentist (not Washington Elite) that I needed Invisalign to correct a defect in my bite, that dentist estimated that the treatment would require approximately 8 months. I explored other Invisalign options in the area, and I found Washington Elite, which informed me that they could complete the treatment in 4 months. On the basis of their representation, I opted for the much shorter course of treatment offered by Washington Elite. Washington Elite, however, failed to live up to its end of the bargain. I began my treatment in September and concluded in December—or so I thought. After finishing the treatment plan in December, Washington Elite informed me that the process was not actually complete. Instead, I needed an additional 3+ months of treatment, lasting from December into late March. I protested that they told me originally that they could complete the process in 4 months, but to no avail. I acceded to the next course of treatment, and I recently finished that course. Once more, I hoped that I had completed the process, but Washington Elite again informed me this was not the case. Instead, I required yet more treatment that could last another 2.5 months or more. I again protested that such continued treatment was contrary to their original representations, but to no use. I am accordingly locked into what appears to be a treatment cycle with no definite end point, as I cannot trust the representations of Washington Elite at this point. The underlying problem seems to be that Washington Elite does not follow the treatment plan recommended by Invisalign itself. The Invisalign company (as mentioned on its website) recommends wearing each aligner for 1 to 2 weeks to ensure that the teeth move the full amount that they are intended to move. Washington Elite instead tells its patients to wear the aligners for only 4 days. This allows Washington Elite to promise shorter treatment durations up front, but the problem arises when—as a result of not wearing the aligners long enough—the teeth do not actually move. Washington Elite’s deviation from the standard practice—at least in my experience—thus requires additional appointments and additional aligners, beyond the original treatment plan. This turns the course of treatment into a much larger time investment than the treatment should be, as the patient must return to the office for new scans of the teeth to assess the (lack of) movement and to obtain new aligners. Even worse, Washington Elite told me none of this at the beginning of the treatment. They did not explain why they deviate from Invisalign’s recommendations, and they did not explain the possibility of a treatment plan that lasts many months more than the initial estimate. In short: Do not rely on the projected treatment plan provided for Washington Elite when it first presents Invisalign as an option. Instead, be warned that you may be locked into a much, much lengthier plan with more appointments and a much larger time commitment than you imagined. Edit: After I expressed my displeasure, Washington Elite explained they regretted how things had gone and that, because all teeth are different, the course of treatment may not go as planned. They declined to offer any financial compensation, but I appreciate they helped me understand the issue. I would still advise not relying on their stated timeframes, but I appreciate their sincere efforts to address my concerns. Let me also add that I certainly harbor no ill will towards them, and I think they do work quite hard for their patients. I wish only that my course of treatment had gone more smoothly and that I had received more information up front.

I had a terrible experience here. I went here because I moved to DC and my other dentist that I loved was 3 hours away. This dentistry was in network and received positive reviews online so I decided to give it a shot. I had gone to an out of network dentist about a month before and had x-rays done so they told me to email them over. I emailed everything over and filled out my paperwork online. I showed up at 12:30 for my 1 pm appointment just in case I needed to fill out anything additional. 4 other people went ahead of me and then it was 1:08 when I was being called to the front desk. A gentleman said he didnt have my x-rays (even though I had emailed them over and received an email confirmation they were received). So I pulled out my email and forwarded what I had received. 5 minutes later another woman comes over and says we can't use these x rays you need new ones. I said I don't understand why? And she kept repeating "we can't use these". I was hoping for a better understanding as to why when she barked "that'll be $91 you need to pay now". I looked at her with disgust at how I was being scolded to pay additional money before my appt even began. I was reluctant to pay, but I needed some cavities filled and I though this appointment would be when that would occur. I was given a "tour" of the office in which a gentleman decided to show me the "sanitation area". If by sanitation you mean boxes piled ceiling high with wires in the sink. I should've run out of there after that, but again I persisted bc I thought maybe they were just having an off day considering all the other reviews. I was led to the area where my x rays would occur. Again, pretty unkept area with wires in the sink and all over the counter top. Granted, I just had x rays done with no issues from the other dental technician. This gentleman was terrible at putting the x rays wings in my mouth. He kept scraping my gums and making me gag. I finally said no that wont work you need to figure something else out bc you are hurting me. His reply was relax. Next the dental hygienist came in. I would say she had the only positive energy. She seemed like she genuinely cared about me, but is wrapped up in a cash incentive program the dentistry runs (just wait to hear what the quote is). After reviewing the x rays, she said so what else are we doing today a cleaning? I replied no I am not getting a cleaning I was hoping to get some work done today and she replied oh the front desk mustve got confused you arent having anything else done just the dentist coming to look at you. In addition, what was being written down as notes to reference were on td bank sticky notes and not an actual chart or notebook. By the time the dentist comes in, she has 5 minutes to dedicate to me in which she barely looks at me and says she's been looking at the x ray in the back. She rattles off to the hygienist a prognosis for each tooth. And says I think you need to see my friend who is an endontist for a second opinion about a tooth for a possible root canal. She also asks if I wear a mouth guard and says to me I should bring it in to be cleaned (which I am sure is a ploy for them to look at it to say all the reasons they should create a new one for you to charge more $$$). I go to the front and I am given my treatment plan with a total of over $700. I ask what the $45 charges are for each tooth that insurance wont cover and I just get stares and told its to stabilize each tooth. There's also a $150 charge not covered by insurance. My gut said this was all wrong. I left without making a follow up appointment and immediately called my old dentist over 3 hours away. They got me an appointment for the following monday and I was able to get him to review the x rays and perform work in the same day. The total for that day? $87. He scoffed when he saw the quote they gave me for $45 per tooth and the ridiculous $150 charge. I will NEVER EVER recommended this dentistry to anyone and WARN everyone against visiting this firm as it is beyond a scam.

This was my 4th visit to Washington Elite Dentistry. I went in to get a crown because my 20+ year old filling (received as a teenager) was cracking and chipping. The choice was to do a crown now, or wait until a cavity developed under the cracked filling, necessitating a likely emergency root canal. I had been apprised of the situation with that particular filling by my old dentist, who at the time had adopted a wait and see approach...but that was 2 years ago, and it had deteriorated even more. Dr. Berman and her staff get the highest marks for professionalism and compassion. When I went in to have the crown consultation, I was working with another dentist at the office. When I scheduled my follow-up appointment to have the crown actually done, the other dentist had moved on and I was treated by Dr. Berman. Their care and attention to detail was nonpareil. I am typically okay with seeing the dentist, because of a lot of dental issues I had when I was in my teens, but I was still nervous about this process (my first crown). Dr. Berman was very understanding. They have a procedure for communication when you can't talk and they go over the "rules of engagement" prior to throwing all of that hardware into you mouth. I had a local anesthetic (a shot of something in my mouth), and they took impressions and scans, and then ground the tooth down to where it needed to be. No pain at all; some slight sensitivity, but no more than when a cavity is being filled (I have had them replace 3 of my old metal amalgam fillings with new fillings as they have deteriorated). Here is the amazing part. When they went to put the crown in, Dr. Berman thought it was off a little bit. I could not tell ... it felt fine to me. It seems their machine that carves the crown out of ceramic had had to have a bit replaced, and the transition between the bits threw off the measurements of the crown by a fraction of a millimeter. They could have put it in and sent me on my way. Instead, they put a temp crown in, and rescheduled me for the afternoon to have a new permanent one installed. I was able to go to a lunch meeting with a vendor, and then I came back and they placed the final permanent crown in the afternoon. I have had no problems since then. I read some of these reviews prior to going to Washington Elite Dentistry, and I have to say that I think it's unfair of some reviewers to complain of being "upsold" on bite-guards. Being upsold is an unethical practice involving selling something to someone who does not need it: in other words, selling undercoating, clear coat, or scotch guard to a new car buyer. A dentist can tell if a patient is grinding their teeth and will recommend a bite guard. If the patient doesn't want to buy it; that's their choice. But it isn't necessarily upselling. Anyone making that claim must identify him or herself as a dentist so we can know they speak authoritatively on the topic. Reviews matter to many of us, so we want them to be as fair as possible.

I don't even know where to start with this review as there are too many good things to stay. I have to say that, as I am sure you know, the idea of having a doctor's appointment already makes for a stressful day. I find myself running through the usual questions - what will go wrong this time? How behind schedule will this put me today? Not with Washington Elite Dentistry. I walked in and was met with an immediate sense of relief. Not only was the staff welcoming and pleasant, they went out of their way to welcome me to the office. I received an office tour and an introduction to the entire staff, prior to even my appointment beginning. As soon as I sat down for X-rays, Dr. Berman came running over to introduce herself personally and say hello. The timing and execution of the various parts of the appointment were down to the second. I did not wait more than a breath between X-rays, routine cleaning, and the final consult with Dr. Berman. The entire staff wears a headset piece, so they are acutely aware of where everyone is and what is going on at every moment. What a well-oiled machine. I cannot speak highly enough of this place and the staff - they were so friendly and kind. Not to mention, the office itself is in pristine condition and felt more like a spa than a dentist's chair. All is to say that I am so excited to have found at least one doctor's visit I can actually bear the thought of going to, if not actually look forward to :) I highly recommend Washington Elite Dentistry, Dr. Berman and her entire staff. What a lovely morning.

I do not recommend this practice. My first cleaning went fine. However, when the dentist came in she pushed $500 worth of sealants on my teeth. I told her I would need to check with my insurance and was going to hold off for the time being since this was the first time I had been approached about sealants. I left feeling like the practice was more profit oriented, but okay overall. 6 months later I came back for another cleaning. The hygienist was nice. When Dr. Berman came in she told me I had cavities. I responded saying that I had never had a cavity before in my life and how would something develop that quickly when my x-rays, etc. were normal at my last visit. Her words were “you didn’t get the sealants last time and so now you have cavities.” She then walked away and said she would update my notes later with which teeth needed which work. I felt unsettled by this comment and left with an appointment for fillings, but no treatment plan provided by the office. Upon going for a second opinion at my longtime hometown dentist, I was told I did NOT have cavities and would not need fillings. They also said that they also were shocked to see the office add a pulp cap to my treatment plan as it was completely unnecessary even if I did need fillings. This practice feels like it is teetering into unethical territory and up-charging patients for profit. If you go, trust your gut and always go for a second opinion somewhere else.

Dr. Berman is a very good, probably even a great dentist, and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with her dental staff. However, the office itself is disorganized, uncommunicative, and dishonest. It’s next to impossible to get someone on the phone, and they are not responsive to emails either. I was left to believe that pain at a recent filling site was non urgent and could wait until they could get me in (months later). It turned out I urgently needed a root canal. Only one of the two appointment request forms on the website works, so I suggest emailing directly if you want any chance at a response. I brought this up with Dr. Berman, and she thanked me for letting her know. I also brought this up with Michelle after waiting over a week for a response, and she did not have an explanation for their lack of response except that they “get a lot of emails.” As of today, I’ve been waiting two days for an acknowledgement of my email requesting my treatment plan and itemized invoice for the crown I received. It turns out that even though I paid for the full price of my crown out of pocket due to a temporary issue with my insurance, they decided to later bill my insurance company for twice the amount I paid. No response, so I’m hoping someone sees this! It’s a pity because Dr. Berman herself is a skilled, kind, and empathetic dentist. Unfortunately, her office is so frustrating, I’m ready to go somewhere else.

I started going to Dr. Berman and her team at Washington Elite Dentistry back in 2016 for my invisalign treatment and haven’t looked back since! I was referred by a co-worker and shortly after, I found a few others in my office who go to her as well and I can see why! All my visits have been impeccable, from the cleanliness of the office to the friendly staff – Dr. Berman and her team, Maritza, Terri, Jennifer, and Nicole, are phenomenal. I am always greeted with a big smile once I step foot into the office, the know their patients by name and even form professional relationships with each one of their patients making the experience that much better. She has gone above and beyond to meet all my requests and concerns and make sure I feel confident with my smile, even if that means going back and forth with the vendors of invisalign. It’s no wonder she has been nominated as one of the Top Dentists of 2017 and most recently The Galler Cup which is awarded to the Top Invisalign General Dentists in North America. I can say with full confidence that if I had to redo my invisalign experience, I wouldn’t change anything for the world. She made the experience much less daunting and I would 100% recommend her and her team to anyone (and I have already)! I now smile more and much more confidently because of her.

Exceptional Care and Service: I've been a patient of Washington Elite Dentistry since my relocation to DC. I know Dr. Berman for several years now, and I can confidently say that their dental practice is top-notch. From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately puts me at ease. Dr. Berman and their team provide exceptional care and service, taking the time to explain procedures and answer any questions I have. Their attention to detail and commitment to patient comfort make every visit a positive experience. I've always been somewhat anxious about dental visits, but Dr. Berman expertise and gentle approach have completely changed my perspective. I do not feel afraid of visiting a dentist as before, whether it's a routine cleaning or a more complex procedure, I trust Dr. Berman's skill and precision. They make sure I'm comfortable throughout the entire process, and I've never experienced any pain or discomfort during treatments. The dental office is equipped with the latest technology, which enhances the overall experience. The use of digital X-rays and advanced diagnostic tools not only provides a more accurate assessment but also reduces the time spent in the chair. It's reassuring to know that I'm receiving cutting-edge dental care.

I would not recommend this establishment. I found this location after moving to DC. My previous experience with dentists had been going to the same one for 20 years and then the next for 8 years. All that is to say, I was looking for someone who I felt comfortable/at ease with when in the chair. My initial cleaning was OK - nothing special and definitely nothing memorable; however, it became memorable when I received the payment statement from my insurance and owed $172. I went in for a 100% covered cleaning operation. When I left the cleaning I did not owe anything. When I called to inquire about this charge, the phone was not answered multiple times and I ad to wait for a follow up appointment to get the issue addressed. Upon my inquiry, neither the front desk attendant nor the hygienist could tell me what the charge was or why I was charged for it. When the dentist arrived, after keeping me in the chair waiting for 22 minutes, the dentist told me that I had directed a hygienist to grind one of teeth down during my cleaning which simply wasn't the case since one would have remembered someone grinding on their tooth. This dentist does not appear trustworthy or respectful of her patients. would not recommend using this establishment.

I recommend staying away from this practice. I don't believe they are trustworthy. My daughter went to the practice today for a cleaning. She is 23 and never had a cavity as an adult. A new dentist saw her and summarily pronounced that she needed sealants. The doctor then said the "sales rep" would be in to speak with her about it. We later learned that the "sales rep" is the practice's billing coordinator. Though not a healthcare professional, the billing coordinator told my daughter the advantages of having the sealants, including that her adult son had recently done it. I am troubled that a non-healthcare professional was providing my daughter healthcare advice. When my daughter suggested that perhaps she would do it next time, she was told that now was the time to do it. She was quoted a price that insurers will pay at $58 per tooth. Given that my daughter's insurance won't cover it, they dropped the price to $34 per tooth. This was presented to her as a $400 saving. My daughter had to ask what the actual price was, which was over $550. It is distressing that this practice took advantage of a young person, who on a government salary could not easily afford unnecessary expensive and unreimbursed procedures.

TLDR: Dr. Mina tried to fix my cavity, but the filling detached from my tooth a month later. She redid it for free, only for the filling to fall out a year later. Never coming back again. I visited Washington “Elite” Dentistry in March 2020 for a teeth cleaning. They told me that I have a cavity, so they went ahead and fixed it for me. Or so I thought. 1) It took them half an hour just to find a functioning X-ray machine. I had to go through the uncomfortable x-ray experience THREE TIMES before they finally got the scans. 2) Dr. Mina and her assistant took so long to do a filling, and the experience was so uncomfortable that it actually triggered my gagging reflex. 3) The filling cracked and detached from my tooth a month later. Dr. Mina “fixed” it for free, which was nice. 4) Except the filling fell out just now, 1 year and 3 months after she fixed it!!! I’m not even going to try to go back. I found a much more competent dentistry and I will never return here again. 5) Oh and Dr. Mina AND her assistant tried to sell me teeth whitening service for $400. It’s a minor thing, but I felt self-conscious after that — and I didn’t even ask for it in the first place! My teeth are fine, tyvm.

I recently visited Washington Lead Dentistry for the first time, and I am beyond thrilled with the results! I had been to three other dental practices prior to this one, and none of them were able to apply a crown correctly. From the moment I stepped into the office, I felt welcomed and respected. The staff was friendly and professional, and they immediately took me through the process of getting my crown. The dental hygienist was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain the process to me. The dentist was also extremely knowledgeable and skillful. He was gentle and attentive, and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I was amazed at how quickly he was able to apply the crown, and I am incredibly happy with the results. I would highly recommend Washington Lead Dentistry to anyone looking for a professional, experienced and reliable dental practice. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results, and I am so thankful for their outstanding service. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality dental care.

I would avoid this practice for a few reasons. First, the technician treating me used offensive language (calling her coworkers the “r” word) and admitted she hadn’t eaten all day and could “hardly pay attention.” The dentist working with me then dropped several tools on my face and sprayed my eyes with water by accident. I didn’t much mind this (and otherwise had no issues), but I was then recommended over $1,000 in services without even being shown X-Rays to verify the work that he claimed needed completion. I got two second opinions by different practices in DC who confirmed only one of these services (under $200) was necessary—and that several of the recommendations (replacing fillings before they require it) can actually be damaging to dental health long term. This comports with Yelp reviews in which multiple patients confirm this practice to be up-charging. Long story short: choose another provider (I ended up with Washington Center for Dentistry and am quite happy). I wouldn’t have switched dentists apart from the up-charging issues since the dentist was very friendly, gentle, and thorough with my cleaning.

I rarely write reviews about specific employees who make their business shine, but Jessica, the Office Manager of the 555 12th St location, has gone above and beyond in terms of customer service—and so I very highly recommend Washington Elite Dentistry. Yesterday, after almost a year of Invisalign and (although 100% satisfied with Dr. Burman’s excellent treatment) a bit discouraged by having to wear retainers that were giving me issues for the next year, I came in for a consultation about options as to different retainers. I was past the warranty period, so assumed I’d have to pay for new retainers. But Jessica assured me that she would make everything right, and sure enough, she called me later that day to tell me that she convinced Invisalign to give me new retainers for free. The part that struck me the most was the excitement in her voice when she said she was able to obtain from Invisalign what I was hoping for. This goes above and beyond customer service, and shows that you will be in good hands if you choose this place.

I’ve been with them for at least 3-4 years now doing many procedures and out of the all the places I’ve been to, Washington Elite Dentistry is truly the best with no competition! Dr. Berman is the best at her job, she’s very likable, funny and is highly progressional while ensuring that every procedure is done flawlessly. The assistants like Gwen are delightful to be around and I also have to mention receptionist Michelle as she’s one of the kindest and relatable people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She can easily break down all procedures, how they’re done, what to expect for yourself and has this gift of making you feel less anxious about what you have going on. They’re also super flexible on payment options so you don’t have to worry about spending too much money on your first appointment To any who are looking for a clean, top tier, and affordable dentistry with overall likable staff, look no further than Washington Elite Dentistry! You won’t be disappointed.

3/4/2014 Most definitely the ONLY dentist I could ever say I look forward to seeing. I grew up terrified of the dentist. I don't know why, but the idea of sitting in the chair is enough to send me into a full blown panic. Dr Berman is so calming, thorough and fun that I actually enjoyed my visit. She made me feel comfortable and taken care of AND I didn't feel like he was selling me on a bunch of bad news. She told me exactly what I really needed to get done and made sure I understood everything. She's an incredible doctor, and his results are even better. She IS the absolute best. ********Update************ I went for follow up and a deep cleaning with laser and it was painless, I was glad to paid cash but no suffering the horrible pain of the old fashion deep cleaning that my crappy insurance cover. Thank you Washington Elite you are the best

I am a new patient at Washington Elite Dentistry. I saw Dr. Jassam and I highly recommend her. She explained everything clearly and was sensitive to my comfort levels as she worked on my teeth. I appreciate how direct and clear the staff is about appointments and financials. Everyone was friendly and professional which is the perfect combination for a dental office. 06/04/2021–I want to update my review. I don’t think Dr. Jassam is working at this office anymore and the other medical workers (hygienist and dentist) I saw in a subsequent visit seemed to be pushing procedures on me and trying to make me worry about my teeth more than I feel was necessary. Also, the dentist pretended to have met me before even though I had never been her patient previously. I felt uneasy at this office after that and I have since switched to a different practice.

DO NOT GO HERE. I went for three different visits, thinking each time would get better, and they never did. They use temp hygienists who have no idea what they're doing. One time I didn't even see the dentist at all. I asked why, and they said, oh if you want to, we'll bring her in but you're good. I'm at the dentist and not going to see the dentist?... Then, for my last appointment, I need to cancel the DAY BEFORE. I had not gotten any appointment reminders up until the day before, and then was informed when I got the reminder the day before that I would be charged a fee for canceling late. I figured ok $25, sure. THE FEE WAS $100. That is ridiculous. The office was completely unhelpful and disinterested in understanding the situation, especially having not gotten any reminders. I would definitely go elsewhere.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Berman, Michelle, and everyone at Washington Elite Dentistry. I have lots of anxiety about the dentist, and after years of fitting in checkups during my out-of-state hometown visits, I decided it was time to find a local provider. Dr. Berman and every hygienist I saw over three separate visits had wonderful chair-side kindness, performed efficient and pain-free work, and had a genuine interest in making sure my oral health is the best it can be. This all made the initial exam & follow-up appointments a breeze. The treatment plan and expected costs were explained thoroughly before anything was done, and Michelle was an angel when it came to the financial/billing side of things. Will definitely be returning.

Dr. Berman and her staff are top notch professionals. I have been going to the office for many years and am always impressed with the treatment I receive. The office is always very efficient with keeping appointment times and the doctor and the staff are phenomenal. During the pandemic I have traveled an hour each way from my house to make these appointments. It would be easy for me to go to a closer dentist since I’m no longer working in the city right now but it is worth the drive to me. Dr. Berman does wonderful work and makes sure that I am always comfortable and not in pain. I am in the process of getting Invisalign done with her as well. Always impressed by this office and their staff. Would highly recommend this dental office.

They ask to collect what they expect your payment responsibility to be before your appointment AND before submitting to insurance for review and payment. I advised that this is not the normal practice for dental offices and couldn’t be provided an explanation outside of ‘this is what what we do.’ I asked my coworker that referred me and he said that they’ve never asked this of him. Their practices are INCREDIBLY suspicious and I would advise anyone to pass on this dental office...the office is mediocre at best with subpar services from the dentist (Terri was the only great part of the experience). Not sure at all how they were voted the best dental office...maybe the others are much worse? Check out yelp to see more accurate reviews.

An update from my first post. Going for crowns? Find someplace else. Not a day goes by I don’t look in the mirror and hate the way my two front teeth look. It took so many tries for them to even get them this decent—from them looking like Bucky the beaver teeth to being the wrong shade, the process was miserable and took many MANY visits. I decided they were adequate and I wish I hadn’t. Thousands of dollars and only one year later, I’m already considering paying out of pocket to get new ones. Dr. Berman and her entire staff are excellent, not to mention SAFE. Going to the dentist amidst the pandemic can be a little bit nerve-wracking, but at Washington Elite Dentistry, they've truly gone above and beyond to assure patients' safety.

It's supposed to be 5-star because Dr. Berman and the entire staff are pretty great. Reasonable. sequential treatment options; no real prodding of additional unnecessary services and efficient dental care. They lose two stars for one incident and I'm happy to revise this review in the future if it turns out to be an isolated incident (this was my first visit). I was given a treatment and was told beforehand it's USD72, only for them to realize it was a mistake and it's actually USD172. No apologies or recognitions were made; I took on the chin because I would have paid the actual price anyway, but the experience did leave a sour taste. It's dishonest, mistakes happen but you have to own up. Anyway, hopefully a one-off.

I have been going to Washington Elite Dentistry for two years and I LOVE them. I originally picked them because of their proximity to my home and work, but recently moved about 25 minutes away. I could switch to a dentist much closer to my home but it is well worth the trip because this office is the most comfortable and pleasant dentistry experience I have had. They have many great comfort measures to choose from, and you can tell that Dr. Berman and her staff really care about how you feel during each procedure. I felt very safe and comforted by all the safety measures the office has added to address COVID. Staff (including reception) are all friendly and accommodating and both doctors are professional, knowledgeable and nice. As a female scientist myself, I also appreciate having two savvy female dentists run the practice! I've been going to Washington Elite for the past 3 years and enjoy their service. They are also well connected to other very experienced doctors in DC to provide recommendations - when my husband needed his wisdom teeth removed, they recommended a very experienced oral surgeon with 30+ years of experience. I feel safe and healthy in their capable hands!

Washington Elite Dentistry has the best staff - from the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the staff who were all so kind. A gentleman took my xrays then immediately after I was seen by Dr. Terry who performed the cleaning. I let both individuals know I was in a bit of a time crunch and both were respectful of the fact that I had a limited window for my appointment. I felt comforted by the level of professionalism all of the staff showed, the cleanliness of the facility and the efficient process from arrival to checking out. Looking forward to my return visit in January and I’ve already told several others they need to book their dental appointments with Elite.

This was my first time going to Washington Elite Dentistry and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Austin Harbison and his assistant Ms. Kim. They made my dentist experience easy and painless. Dr. Harbison took the time to make sure I understood the procedure and answered all of my questions. He was very professional and caring. I hate having to say this but I had an absolutely awful experience here. Their dental repair failed in just a couple months (should have lasted years for this procedure) and they were in no hurry to schedule an appointment to fix it. Getting them to actually answer the phone is hard, and their customer service can be appalling. One receptionist told me to just go to another dentist and another person was quite rude. A third person was sickly sweet to the point of being unpleasant. I wish I'd had a better experience because the location is convenient, but will not be back and would advise others to beware!

Great dentist office! I went after having not gone to the dentist for the duration of the pandemic, and they we're great. Easy to get an appointment, clear about costs, kind people, and great staff. The team was great as individuals but also worked extremely well together. Kimberly the hygienist was professional, kind, great at her job and hilarious. And Dr. Austin was also super personable, kind and great at his job. He also took 20 maybe even 30 minutes after he had finished everything else to answer my many questions about my teeth. Very knowledgable and made complex concepts easily accessible. 10/10.

I had my first cleaning and check up after a couple of years not wanting to visit a dentistry and I have to say it was the best experience I have had in a dental office. The hygienist was very gentle, checking on me every minute for my comfort. I also, got to meet the doctor, who was very informative! They did the best explaining with details what I needed and answered all the concerns I had. The staff was amazing, so cheerful and full of energy. Dr. Harbison was amazing and I can't speak highly enough of his work, professionalism, and courtesy. I went in for an initial intake which consisted of X-Rays, a modeling of my teeth/gums, a cleaning, and a review of future work needed. He explained everything very well and always made sure to ask if I have any questions. On my follow up appointment for a filling, I never felt nervous and he explained everything as he went along. The procedure was painless (shockingly!), quick, and I had minimal recovery time. Again, I can't recommend Dr. Harbison enough, especially for nervous patients like myself.

After several bad experiences with dentists and oral surgeons, I was petrified of dentist and therefore neglected my mouth for years. It was embarrassing. The staff at Washington Elite Dentistry never judged me. They just went to work. Dr. Berman saw the challenge and the need and she immediately saw a vision. After several extractions and visits, I see her vision coming together. We are not done yet, but, she has a unique gift to see the "end result," and my mouth if finally coming together beautifully. Hats off to the warm and caring staff at Washington Elite Dentistry!!!

I went to Washington Elite Dentistry in 2016-2017, and liked the staff and dentist, but was told at every other visit I had one or more cavities. I switched dentists because they dropped my insurance before I went in for my "cavity." My new dentist made no mention of a cavity. I've since gone to a third dentist because they were more convenient to my new job, and this one also said nothing about a cavity. I would just be cautious and potentially get a second opinion if anyone is surprised to hear they have a cavity.

I just had my first visit with Washington Elite Dentistry after switching from another dentist in DC. I was a bit early and they tried their best to take me in a little early so I wasn't waiting. I brought in my retainer just to show it to them and let them know I have one, and it turns out that they'll clean it for me if I just bring it with me to my visits! Their staff is super friendly and the office is very clean. I definitely plan to stay with them until I have to move out of DC!

Excellent service, this dental practice was able to set me up for an appointment very quickly, I came in from overseas & needed some urgent treatment for a loose tooth. I have been coming to this practice for about 5 years now. The staff is very efficient, knowledgeable, informative about insurance matters, and patient. I recently had a procedure to have a crown put on my tooth and the procedure was so peaceful that I fell asleep in the chair and only the area around the tooth was numb.

I called in to request patient records and I was on hold for 15 min. I then called again and Young lady by the name of Paulina answered , She wasn't nice , and when I mentioned the extensive hold time her answer was "hmm mhmmm " . Patient customer service and relationships build with other offices are really important. Sad to see this happening .

When I had to leave to go back to work, the front desk staff promised they would email my treatment plan, but it never came. I called several times and basically begged for it, still no treatment plan. I obviously won't be going back.
