I have come here several times since it opened and always loved it. Great deal, nice people. But I came to get my car washed today and had a terrible experience. After paying my fee, I placed the car in neutral and proceeded into the tunnel. It was extremely busy and the attendants were sending cars through with very little space between them. Towards the end of the wash, when I was going through the drying section, something happened to their tracking machinery. It shifted or lost it's grip on my tire or something. So my car suddenly bounced up and down a few times, but did not move further down the track. Then I felt my back end hit the car that was behind me. My car was fine, but the gentleman behind me suffered a small nick in the front of his car. We both pulled into the vacuum parking and spoke with an employee. The employee reviewed the camera footage and told me that I did something, either I hit the brake or went in reverse. He wasn't sure what I did, but he just said it was my fault. The problem was, I was in neutral the whole time and my feet were on the floor. It wasn't the first time I've been through their car wash. I know the protocol. I did nothing different. I was in neutral the whole time, with my feet on the floor, but the employee still insisted that it was my fault. I felt stuck between a rock and a hard place. The damage was quite minimal, a small gash in the paint, no smaller than a dime. But I still wound up paying the gentleman in other car $60 on the spot, just to have the issue over and done with. I still maintain that the machinery was to blame, in addition to the cars being crammed into the tunnel with so little space between them. I don't plan on pursuing the issue any further, but I'm mostly just disappointed. I really liked this place until today. Now I will never go back again, because I no longer trust their machinery or the honesty of their employees.

I have to tell you that I am so very disappointed in your carwash and specially at your worker name Chris. I have been a paying customer for the past 3 years and I have referred more than 10 of my friends and family to this facility. Today the carwash was busy so I pulled in from the Clairmont entrance, and I saw 3 empty slots to vacuum, so I decided to do a quick vacuum and then wash, as I was pulling in this guy name Chris approached me and told me I need to pull out and wash first, I told him I'll be quick and he raised his voice and suddenly told if you dont pull out I will cancel your membership. At this point I was surprised at his approach, and I responded that go ahead and cancel my membership. He walked toward the office and at this point I assume the manager Ramses approached me and told me that I need to wash first, this is the carwash rule and it is the violation of contract etc. Part G of your contract says otherwise, it says "you must wash your vehicle before you vacuum your car, if you vacuum your vehicle between the hours of 10am to 5pm and do not wash your vehicle your visit will also count as a wash in your monthly total. We do have vacuum areas as you are going into entrance of the car was, If you like to vacuum first." I thought customer service is a priority in any business. No customer deserves to be treated with such aggression and rudeness. There are many car washes in San DIego, you guys are not the only one. I will definitely ask friends and family to cancel their membership. It seems that your personnel that are working there, don't care much about your business. Derrick.

This place is ridiculous. I've been going to this car wash intermittently over the last 7-8 years since moving to San Diego. This place just keeps getting worse and I will take my business to PB Carwash going forward. Today on 5.19.22, I pulled into a vacuum bay. On 5.16, I used the car wash and was unable to get a vacuum spot. On 5.17 & 5.18, I drove through and there were no vacuum spots. Finally on 5.19 I went at a time they were not so busy to FINALLY vacuum my vehicle. As I began to vacuum my vehicle, I was approached by a man claiming to work there. He advised that no matter what, I could not vacuum without washing today. I explained that I just washed, didn't need to wash, and could share that proof, but he would not oblige. After 5 minutes, a man claiming to be the manager walks up. He acts nothing like a manager and immediately starts attacking me verbally about their rules. To which I told him I understand, and this way they were doing it was wrong. I proceeded to pull out a $20 bill and offered to pay for a wash service I would not be using that day. They would not accept my money claiming they do not accept cash and honestly spent the entire interaction being hostile without offering a solution to a problem that happens there EVERY day. I would not recommend this business to anyone as I've come here plenty of times in the same way without problem. I truly believe any business that can have employees like this does not care about its customers or their cars.

DON’T USE WASHMAN CAR WASH!!! I have 3 cars that I take to Washman weekly and have for the past 3 years. I have been a regular happy customer until today (August 9, 2020)! I was told that I could not dry the outside of my car because of social distancing and then I was told that I could take the drying cloths provided home and wash them myself and bring them back. This made no sense. So I said then I can use the drying cloths provided to dry the outside if I take them home and wash them myself and bring them back? He said no, I could not use the drying clothes to dry the outside of my car at all. So why then did he tell me I could bring the provided drying clothes home and wash them myself? He had no answer for me. He went on to say that due to social distancing, I could not dry the outside of my car. Well, if you have been to Washman Car Wash you know that the distance between cars and drying bays are well over 6 feet so again, his request for me to not dry the outside of my car was not validated. They have been very rude and difficult to work with for a few months now. DON’T USE THEM IF YOU WANT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

I am really disappointed. I used them for carwash's for my wife's car, because she cares and her car looks great when it's clean. I took it in 2 weeks ago Sunday, I watched my windshield as an 8" crack appeared. I immediately showed the manager upon exiting the car wash he was very polite. He had me fill out a claims form and said I would be contacted. After a week and a half I finally spoke to him today and he told me that since no other cars were damaged that day that it must've already been there and that they are refusing to take responsibility. They obviously have video of every vehicle before entering the car wash in which he told me that it was too dirty to tell if the crack was already there (it's right in front of the driver) you can't miss it. Just thought I would let everyone else know how this company does business, and I will continue to remind everyone until they act responsibly

I came here to report something that made me very upset, I have been going to this car wash for over 3 years, I live in Mission Valley, there is a car wash on the street below my house, but I completely prefer Washman, no. I have to complain, I love washing my car there, my whole family only washes it there, this week I was washing the car there and the vacuum cleaner wasn't working, I asked the guy to fix it, it actually takes me a while to clean the car, I'm very detail oriented, as soon as the guy was arranging the vacuum cleaner he told me somewhat arrogantly that I would have 5 minutes to clean my car, I said ok, but I kept thinking about what he told me, I pay to wash my car and I only have 5 minutes to clean my car inside?? Last but not least, unfortunately they lost a loyal customer who washed her car once a week! unfortunate.

They do a good wash for the price, and free vacuum's are nice, but today we had a bad experience. Near the end of the wash, right when the blowers started to dry off the car the machinery seemed to stop, which caused the car behind us to roll forwards and into our car. No major damage other than two small nicks on my car, nothing to be upset about but more just annoying that it happened. Looking at the other reviews this is not the first time this has happened. They should probably fix this issue, it's not something you want happening at a carwash. Whomever was in charge tonight also came and spoke with us, he asked if we were alright and if there was any damage, kinda annoyed that he didn't offer a free car wash seems like if something happens they should try and make their customers happy. Not going to be going back again.

False Advertising! Stopped by to quickly vacuum some dirt off the floor mats. I was immediately approached and told I needed to wash my car first. I explained that I just needed to clean my floor mat really quick and pointed to the sign on the top of the building stating ‘free vacuums’. The response came that I could only do that if I washed my car and that the vacuums were only free if you wash your car. I again pointed out their extremely large sign, explained I have used them before to wash my car and asked him to show me where it stated I had to get a wash. He could not provide me with any such written statement but demanded I get a wash. I refused to do so and left without a wash and vowed to never give my business to this place again.

My husband works for 711. The parking lot is complete chaos. The washmen customers rudely block the driveway from both entrances. The workers can't direct their customers. They spend 20 minutes vacuuming while the cars pile up refusing to let 711 customers maneuver in and out of a 2 way driveway. They take up the whole driveway like it's one-way. The management won't limit vacuum use and they refuse to move to allow 711 customers to leave. just sit taking up 711 only parking detailing. Blocking cars because their next in line for a single vacuum space. And watch out they don't yield to you coming out of wash either. Then the workers try to direct 711 customers because they can't get their own customers to listen. Very prejudiced.

I loved this place UNTIL I found out that the Water used to wash your car has Bug Insecticide in it!!!! Unbelievable! This should be made very CLEAR to Everyone using this place and it is Not. Yes, you can opt out of the spray at the very beginning of the wash, (if you are even aware of it being used there), but according to the Manager it is in the car wash Water itself!!! That should be illegal ---cuz, Needless to say- Poison is Poison - and it is Not good for human beings either! It all accumulates folks! I highly encourage Everyone to Complain about it!!! And pay attention to the fact that your eyes may well start watering as you drive your newly washed car away from this place.

BEST carwash in SD. Our go to because its affordable, great service, quick and easy. $8, $10 or $12 single time option or monthly plans. We usually do $10 option. This is not a touch free but have never had an issue with scratches. Car wash takes a few min, a mix of manual service and machine. Guys spray down your car to start, then squeegee the car dry at the end. If your car isn't completely clean they will send you back through a second time free, and you get 5min free vacuum time. There are 2 vacuum pumps, one on each side of car so bring a passenger to help you make max use of the vacuum time. Love this place!!

The price is always right because it is super budget friendly. I usually pay the $8 wash and still end up with a good experience. I love that they proud themselves of being a great carwash place by always making sure we drive away with a spotless car. If they see that there are still bugs on the front bumper or on areas that could use extra cleaning, they do not hesistate to give you another round of wash on the house. Another thing that I love is that they provide towels for us to use to clean our car. Let's hope others will not abuse this luxury. Highly recommend it for the amazing price and great service!

I was on my way to a date and had parked under a tree the night b4. I don't have to tell you what the birds did to my car. Found this place last minute on Google maps. It was a gamble that paid off. They let you ride through in your car. That seems small but some places don't and it's a big deal when your on the go with limited time. They wipe your car down for you at no extra cost which I love. Totally prevents water spots. They also supply unlimited vacuuming hoses for free. I didn't use one but I completely appreciate the convenience of it. My car was bird poo free and I was happy

i came to get my truck washed and it left almost as dirty. I know they recycle the water here but apparently their filters suck or just need to be replaced. when i rolled my windows down and up about a half hour after the wash the windows were still wet, but when they dried it looked like their was muddy water film on my windows. I had to get out and wipe them off. Which means I have a muddy water film on my truck. Just fyi, this is a brand new truck, 1000 miles on it. Not really dirty because garage kept. It was just pretty dusty when I went in. That was my last trip

I was in San Diego on vacation and went to Washman Car Wash to clean off my dirty rental car before I returned it. This place did an amazing job for the $12 I paid!! I run a car wash of my own back home and this place had everything. The car came out even cleaner than when I picked it up from the rental company and the vacuums were extremely powerful. The light show at night was so impressive as well!! I introduced myself to the night manager at the time and he was very friendly as we discussed car washing. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars!

They charge to vacume your car. We traveled from Kansas where it's 75 cents to vacume a car. You put the chance in and you're timed. We got off the highway and searched for coin slots before just assuming it's free. We needed to clean our rental car. Guy walks up and gives us a hard time about it only being free to people who wash their car and ask if we wanted our car washed when we tell him no he tells us it's $5.00. Wow!!!!! I could have got two car washes in Kansas for that price. We pay him and leave.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! IT RUINS YOUR CAR!! My car has several little scratches all over my car. I am 200% certain they are from the car wash. They were not on my car before entering the car wash. Whatever you do please do not go to this car wash. I wish I looked at reviews before hand because other people claim the same thing. They will not send me any video footage and now I am having to get my insurance company involved. They are refusing to take responsibility. A terrible experience.

Excellent quality, service, and prices. After you get your car washed through the machine, a team of 2 or 3 workers personally hand dry your car. Afterwards, you get to use their vacuum for however long you want. There is a vacuum on both sides. Complimentary wet towels are provided. An air pressure gun is provided, which was amazing and helped me blast out dirt from hard to reach places on the sides of the door. Overall, I was very impressed and the prices is hard to beat.

Nice people but was dissatisfied with scratches to car from machines. At the end, I was told by an employee that it's usually because they're already there and that after a wash we can see them for the first time. This doesn't apply as this is my first machine wash with this car and otherwise for the past year (up until 2 weeks ago), I've washed my car by hand, and never had any of these scratches. Wash by hand yourself, guys - machines will mess your car up.

All I can say about this place is; "wow!" You take your car through the wash, they towel it dry and you can vac & use the air spray for no additional cost! All your paying for is the wash and that was so affordable! Very impressive I wish Washington State would do such an amazing job at an affordable cost point. Bravo to Washman for putting the competition to absolute shame!

Awesome place for such a great price! Staff is amazing too. I had some nasty spots on my car that I guess didn’t wanna come off. The staff was aware and told me before and after the wash. What made me appreciate them more was when one of the staff members, most likely a manager, said to go again free of charge since the spots hadn’t gone away. They made sure the car was spotless before I left. Awesome staff and service! Definitely coming back!

Pleased with this car wash, except for the guy with the attitude that does the dry down. His coworkers should know he's the reason I no longer tip, and the owners should know he's the reason I'll probably take my business elsewhere. Last time, he didn't dry his half of my car. There was a line down the center of my hood, half wiped, half unwiped. I keep hoping he'll go away but so far, he's been there a while and just keeps getting worse.

Washman is awesome! Not just an automatic car wash: it starts off with a couple guys that rinse the gunk off your car, then you drive through the automatic wash, and a crew of guys use pressurized air to get water out of your mirrors and then towel dry the stuff that the blowers don’t dry off. Quick, thorough, friendly, and fast! Not to mention it smells great and is fun to do! I’m adding it to my “must do” San Diego experiences! :-)

I've always known this carwash to be good and gives a good wash. When I went it was around lunch time, it wasn't that busy. But they got busy after I arrived. They TAKE NO CASH,the prices are always decent for a basic wash and they hand dry your car after. You can also countine drying , vacuuming and other stuff you want to do. They also have rags you can use to dry , the air to take excess water off. My car is looking good now...

Great place to take your car for a wash. All workers are friendly. Cashier was helpful. That was the first reason I am writing a five star review. Second was because they would not take a tip. Twice he said no. He said the best tip would be to give a review. Awesome response. This car wash has air to dry out your side mirrors and remove dust from dashboard. I've Been waiting 5 months for a refund of monthly car wash plan after canceling. Was charged twice after canceling. Been given excuse after excuse. Telling me all sorts of BS like--because of the amount of the refund it was under more scrutiny because it was $60 and not $20. WTH. I lost my job in February. Can't bloody afford for them to string me along. Will never refer anyone here ever again.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! This place has always had great customer service and my car always looks great after I leave. Today I met John, if he is not the owner he should or very well could be! This man went above and beyond!! Thank you for such amazing service! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know, as I know their cars will leave there sparkly clean!

Was well worth the little drive & time. Prices are affordable & within reason, but for once I drove out with a decent wash & hand dry!! Hand drying is HUGE & they don't use the same towels for ALL the cars. Free vacuuming is great, times are bit little & slow on weekends, but I understand due to demand. All in all, this place is on my list to get my car washed for now on in San Diego.

I have been a client here for a while, always when I asked to wash my hands in the bathroom there was no problem. Today all of a sudden I finished cleaning my car and when I asked to wash my hands, they said we can’t use the bathroom anymore… is that so?? I don’t believe it. I just feel like the workers were not having a good day and made that up… too bad. One star for you

Like many other reviewers, my car was scratched at this facility. I showed the damage to employees, and I was told that it was not caused by their equipment. My car was less than a year old without any cosmetic damage. I know the damage was from their machines, and it was bitter sweet to see that other people had the same experience. Protect your car and go somewhere else!

I leave disappointed at regular car washes because they always miss the nooks & cranies. Here I can do it myself. Vacuum, dust, wipe, airblast every nook and cranie until satisfied. Do they split or share tips? Anyone know their tipping policy? My car doesn't need frequent washes, it's not driven often, so I purchase the gift card, buy 4, get the 5th free. Use as needed.

Super convenient location right off the 5 and quick service for a $8, $10, or $12 wash. If your car isn’t clean the first time around, they let you go again for free. Vacuums are free and there are free towels to use as well. Also offer more extensive detailing services at a cheaper rate than anywhere else I’ve inquired in town. Avoid Sundays as they are the busiest.

The prices are reasonable. I started coming here when it first open and it was awesome. Now the staff doesn't do as good job as they used to drying your car. They limit your time to two minutes only to vaccumm the car and it is not enough for you to finish the drying job and vaccumm. This is the only down side. I would add an area to detail the cars.

The wash is fast and efficient, followed by two guys wiping of the water spots. Not as detailed as if you took fifteen minutes to do the job with opening the doors etc but really good if you need a quick wash. If you've the time, you can then go to the vacuum stations and clean the insides. Really central location next to on ramp to Interstate 5.

$8 to wash your car is a great deal! Not only that but your car gets a wipe down at the end and the vacuums are free. They have different options for car washes, $8 being the cheapest option. They also have 2 different vacuums, a trash can for emptying out trash, and towels for extra drying. A cool plus, this location shares parking with a 7-11.

This is my favorite carwash in town. Good service, slightly pricy though. Machine wash does good, employees do a great job hand drying. Free vacuums. They're one of those businesses that doesn't accept cash though which really bothers me personally. That's why only 3 stars. Other than that, best place to get a quick car wash in town.

I wish they had another location up North. I do make an attempt to go there when I am in the area to have my car washed at Washman. I like the fact that they dry my car after washing, free vacuuming and use of towels. Sometimes the wash doesn't come up clean but having the towels helps so I can clean it myself. Very friendly staff.

I love coming here...the machines do a fantastic job and the people at the end work hard drying up your vehicle...I always leave a tip and more people should do so as well. I love the spaces you drive into to clean the inside and plenty of towels to clean inside and vacuums that work. Next time you are near here drop in.

Always the best car wash! I will go out of my way to go here. The staff is so nice and the car wash is top notch. The towel-dry at the end of the wash is what sets them apart from every other place. The areas with the vacuums for after your car is done are fully outfitted and my car always looks great afterwards.

The best part about Washman is they truly understand the sensitivity of time. I was short on time for my emergency office trip and the car was out for a wash, when conveyed they immediately put all their work on the fast track and delivered me a shining ride at the step. Thank you, Washman! Keep up the good work!

I am very dubious about the 5 star reviews on here. This place is dreadful. The staff are rude, the car wash and dry-down caused scratches on my car. They use the same towels all day long, which pick up dirt and particles that cause scratches. When I pointed this out, they were extremely rude and aggressive.

I have monthly wash agreements on several of my vehickes. I love the people who work here. They dry your car and prepare it for going thru (bug removal, etc). When your done, they have great vacuums, towels and air sprayers for detailing your vehicle. All under car covered canopies! Love this place

Great service at an affordable price. The staff seem motivated and work hard to keep everything moving. They also hand towel dry the exterior of your car after the blower which is a nice touch compared to most drive through car washes in this price range. Everything is always impeccable maintained.

Don’t use this car was!!!! They have now damaged both my wife’s suv and my full size truck in the last 3 months. When we asked them about there damage policy they have zero accountability for damages caused. There are plenty of good cars around town just not this one. Never use this place!!!

Best car wash in San Diego hands down. Great service. Super fast, vacuums, pre damped micro fiber clothes, trash cans, compressed air gun. What else do you need. All for $8. To those wondering, you can go through this wash with a ladder rack on your truck unlike many other car washes.

This car wash is just down the road from where I live. I get my car washed once a week. The staff are always nice and I am very pleased with the results. Plenty of vacuums to clean out your car and they supply wash cloths for any other cleaning you may need to do. I highly recommend.

Got the ultimate wash and in about 3 minutes my car went from crusty to sparkling. Super affordable and staff was nice too because I put my car in reverse instead of neutral by accident going in to the thing and the guy could have easily been annoyed but if he was I couldn’t tell.

Best car wash in SD. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They hand dry each car instead of making you do it, this service appears to be included with all levels of service. They let me run thru twice since my car was super dirty, no extra charge. Vacuums provided, great spot!

I had a great experience at the local! I live relatively close so I stopped by first this in the morning. Service was quick and the dry down of the vehicle by staff was great I used the free vacuums no issues at all. The auto wash itself was fantastic and my car is shining!!

So much better than waiting for your car to dried by people in a hurry to get a tip. I like that I can vacuum my car to my satisfaction and wipe down areas others would usually miss. Only 4 stars because when it's busy they can get a little pushy on how long you take.

My favorite San Diego carwash... From $8-12 a wash, you drive through, they dry and wipe, you vacuum. The vacs are powerful and efficient, staff is friendly and helpful, add it's a cheap way to get a thorough cleaning, remove sand and crumbs and other messes quickly.

They no longer offer towels for cleaning the interior of the car which makes this car wash no longer a good value. We switched to the one on Balboa and Genessee which does. Using Covid as an excuse to remove essential services for a car wash is quite disappointing.

This wash was ok. The drive through one in pb is much better. This location the staff was a little rude, the wash wasn't as good and it barely dried the car. The wash in pb works better, washes better and they give you a air freshener everytime and it's cheaper !

Ditch your Gas Station Drive thru! Same price, but 5 star friendly capable staff who are truly focused on getting your car clean. Blow Dry service for your rear view mirrors...buy a Prepaid card & get a free wash! Do it yourself vacuum included. Fab!

I'm not huge on reviews but let me tell you that this carwash is awesome. Prices are great, staff is professional and friendly and the equipment there to clean the cars are top notch! I would highly recommend anyone that needs a wash to go there!!

This was the best car wash I found while living in SD over a year and a half. It beats some of the hand car washes I’ve been to. I like that they do a quick hand towel dry at the end, the included self-vacuum and reasonable prices.

I was there at 8:20 AM on a Saturday; no wait, but already busy. This place is the best! Offers self vacuuming, clean rags. Exterior wash is drive-thru. Basic wash $9. Middle $11. Super wash $13. Avoid mid day, probably crazy busy.

Best car wash in SD. Had a really dirty car (sitting outside for months) and didn't get everything off on the first run. They let me go around to make sure I got everything off. Great prices and great drying service (included).

Nice fun car wash with a towel dry at the end. They do a good job of drying off your windows and mirrors after the wash. With vacuums with multiple hoses and microfiber towels, its really a treat to clean up your car here

Probably the best car wash in San Diego. Wish there were more closer to me and a little cheaper on their monthly rates. Soapy Joe's is even cheaper with the same amenities but you have to dry your car yourself.

Paid for a extra service but probably could've gone with their basic wash and saved myself some $$ and it would've looked the same. Found uncleaned places as soon as I sat in the car and looked around. Oh well.

Nice car wash. Here are the prices. $10 for the cheapest car wash. Pretty good considering they have guys pre-washing and hand drying the car as you leave. Results are just about as good as any car wash.

So if you like wasting your money then go to wasman car wash where you leave with your car dirtier then when you came in. Customer service sucks I can't believe how much h dirt and sand is on my car.

It’s definitely a decent wash, I love being able to vacuum after, but don’t expect anyone who works there to smile at you, no matter how friendly you are (They usually do once I tip at the end! Lol)

Great carwash, they do a quick hand dry once you exit the wash. Powerful vacuums. I locked my keys in my car and they were able to help me out and open the door for me in about 3 minutes.

They need to dry alittle better! With 4 people drying all at once there shouldn't be so many drips. I go at least once a week. But very friendly service with cashiers.

great deal for a car wash. paid for their premium wash and me car still had bird poop and leaves. But got it off with the towels they provided. Overall good service

Great place. Car is wiped down by hand after wash. Air blowers and damp towels are provided at the vacuum area. Friendly staff. Been going for years, no complaints

Best car wash I've ever had. They let my car go a second time for free because it was still dirty. They have multiple people drying with cloth and free vacuums.

I love this place. $9 for the cheap wash, which does a decent job. Then you get the free vacuums afterwards. Takes like 15m to do both and your car is all set.

They cleaned my car with care and precision and they had it finished in 25 mints. Their prices are also very fair and reasonable. These guys are the best!

Very efficient, albeit often crowded, car wash. Reasonably priced + a cheerful crew that dries off your car. A good number of free vacs in a small area.

Great service, free vacuum and towels and air spray. They even let me go twice because my car was so dirty. Also hand dry by them.

Super helpful staff. If they notice your car isn't completely clean, they'll offer to run it through the wash again.

For $9, you get a fairly good clean on the exterior and on top of that, you can vacuum the interior afterwards.
