"It's a nice spot and the first world war memorials are well presented"
"If you come expecting lots of bold coloured flowers you have the idea of the site wrong, this area is conserving nationally important species"
"Excellent place to walk if you don't mind the odd hill"
"Lovely local walk"
"Well cared for park with plenty of easy to walk & interesting tracks, and fantastic on the mountain bike, especially riding down twisty, tight track (parallel to the highway) that ends up in Howrah"
It's a nice spot and the first world war memorials are well presented. Having said that, the walking tracks are not well formed past the memorial and it can be a steep hike in spots. Definitely not pram friendly, but kids should be able to walk most of the park. The views from the top of the hill are a very nice reward for your walk.
If you come expecting lots of bold coloured flowers you have the idea of the site wrong, this area is conserving nationally important species. The history and rock features of the site add interest however, bikers think they rule the place which for me ruins it a bit.
Excellent place to walk if you don't mind the odd hill. Also good for walking dogs. The tracks are many and various. Probably the most challenging is from Waverley St, and involves more than 200 stone steps.
Lovely local walk. However there are a number of interlinking tracks which are poorly signposted. Easier to navigate using Google maps.
Dog-friendliness
Dog walking permitted under effective control.
Well cared for park with plenty of easy to walk & interesting tracks, and fantastic on the mountain bike, especially riding down twisty, tight track (parallel to the highway) that ends up in Howrah.
The flora doesn't seem varied which I feel the name suggest. Stairs on the Waverley Street side of the park needs fixing which would make it a fairly easy walk. Has a memorial garden.
Great for dog walks but watch out for the bike riders especially in weekends, they come trading down the tracks and will scared both you and your animals.
I like going there with my dog. Is part of the Charles Darwin trail. Signage for trails could be better, but you end up finding your way
Family friendly park, this is great for all kids large and small, great for walks around the water front also, nice park all round
Great place for a walk and there is also a nice spot just off the track to do some rock climbing.
Hard to find parking. Just bushland reserve..nice for a walk. Pretty in spring.
