DO NOT rent from this place. My travel agent booked for me and if you prepaid you got an amazing discount. No refund, if you cancelled which I was fine with. I had a printed invoice with the amount being $244.50 in Canadian funds for 5 days. No shuttle from the airport as the instructions on the invoice was to take the skytrain. Arrived and to find out they didn’t even have my payment & was then told I still owed another $268.00 and had to put a deposit of $500.00 down. And said they charge in US funds. My invoice had TOTAL 244.50 in Canadian funds. I had to show them on my visa statement that they already charged me $244.50. Was not impressed at all. Very sketchy to me. So in otherwards, no discount. So they get you to book, and say no refund once booked because of this great discount and there is no discount. The only good thing was the vehicle and they did shuttle us back to the airport. I had to ask for a credit back on my visa for $500.00, since they said it would do this automatically. No thank you! Book at the airport to avoid this place.

A complete disaster booking with them. We arrived early, found no one at the desk, so called them and were told to wait here as someone would come pick us up. We wait 20 min, no one calls, so we called them again and they replied they will double check. Still no one comes so we made the third call, this time they said they are closed for the day so they can't help us! So we were stuck in Vancouver without a car as every other rental was closed by this time, when we really needed a car today. We didn't have any other choice but to get a cab to the airport and rent at a far more expensive rate than we planned. This is completely ridiculous I still can't believe this happened. I demand a full refund + compensation for the whole mess. What a way to treat customers! So irresponsible!!

So, to start with the positive. The car was in order and we were lucky. A few before us had to change their car twice within half an hour. We got the car less than half full of gas. This is a scam that I know only from countries that are somewhat poorer and the people have this necessary. Also, the insurance is very bad. With other providers you get a full insurance, with this one you pay up to 2500 dollars selbts. Never again I rent a car with this dubious car rental. Answer: My colleague had rented the car, that is the reason why they do not find me in the system. We just wanted people to know what they are getting into when they book a car with you.

This company is an absolute scam! Rented through Priceless with this company being the car provider, was an hour late due to flight being delayed, and was told they can't honour the rental. No phone call was made to the customer to let them know this policy nor does it state anywhere in the T&Cs despite them saying so. Further goes on to lay the blame onto the customer saying its a busy season. My hunch is they overbook and collect fees from the customer and dishonour the reservation. Not to mention the person answering the phone (Shakoor Wazeer) has next to no clue what he's doing. Should seek a job elsewhere. Stay away!

This company goes by a few other names on travel brokering sites. For me, it was called Mex Rent a Car but more misleading than that is that Priceline states it's located at Vancouver Airport but is in reality quite a distance away. Travelers like myself book rentals at airports so we don't have to pay or plan for travel to/from the rental location. They do not provide transport outside their hours so early or late travelers must incur additional hidden charges. BTW there is only one monopolized taxi company that services Richmond. One star for misleading booking information causing last minute unexpected charges.

Please, be aware of this company. They charge hidden fees (if you go outside of BC, they charge extra CAD 40/day). Also, I got the Nissan Kicks as a 'Premium car'. Interior of the car was very dirty. Used toothpicks, dirt, etc. Also don't trust the technician that is supposed to check a car with you during your pick-up. He misses some broken stuff and when returning, they try to make you pay for the damage. UPDATE Apr 18, 2022: After I followed-up on their response, nothing happened. No one replied to my email. So, the rental office is just pretending that they care, but they really don't.

The customer service is not great. I asked to add the insurance a couple of time and they never got it done. I called to change the car since we didn't order a basic mini suv, but I needed to go to Richmond to make the change. The car was very dirty and damaged and the tires were not great. The value was good but I'm now dealing with the customer service again for the return. They asked me to pay for the damages when a claim was sent to my insurance company since they couldn't do it properly with their insurance the first time around. Still waiting for the deposit $1000 to be refunded

Was a good experience once I got the car - I wished that I had rented directly through West Coast Car Rentals as that would have dwindled a lot of my doubts. It was hard to find the location but the agent was very helpful when I got a hold of him. Communication could have been more clear, travelocity had them listed as Priceless rental car which caused confusion and challenge getting in contact. The car was great, smooth drop-off and smooth convenient pick-up. Reasonable pricing for a weekly rental. I would use their services again.

Unprofessional service when answering the phone. Called to confirm my rental a week before and got put on hold and then hung up on. Called back a few days later and the gentleman who answered didn't know what company my booking was under (had to explain it was under West Coast Car Rentals) even after I had provided my booking number from my email. I did not feel comfortable renting with them so I called to cancel. Could not provide me with written confirmation that my booking was cancelled and got hung up on.

You are better off hitchhiking than renting a car in this place. This must be the worst managed car rental in the western world. Personnel at the counter is clueless, you are mislead to think vehicles are available at a certain office when they are not, and if you complain about any of the multiple issues you will most probably face when attempting to walk away with the vehicle you expected, within a reasonable period of time, the last thing you will get is an intelligent answer. STAY AWAY

Listen to me before renting, do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT WITH THESE PEOPLE, I must say they’ve got a pretty good fleet, the prices are very low, but with low prices comes the worse costumer service, I called, they answered, asked a question and they would hang up on me, I reserved the car on the website, I did everything I had to do, but didn’t get the car because it had already been reserved, save yourself the time, trouble and money. Pay extra and get extra

This is the best place for car rentals in Vancouver. They really do care about customers as I had a great experience with them this spring break 2023. I ordered a mid size suv and they offered me a Highlander according to their availability for the same price. It was really a friendly customer service and they will take care of you for the entire time. I highly recommend this place with regular and luxury cars as they provide an excellent service.

I had a reservation for a jeep and when we reached their office they said its not available anymore. We has plans to go for a road trip and all that because it was a friend’s birthday. They did not even offer us another car and it seemed like they did not want to help in anyway. We went to another rental two blocks down independent rent a car and they helped us out with the best deal possible.

Car was great, but I booked the car for 10:30am, and the car didn’t even show up until well over an hour later, which was a large inconvenience on my plans for the day. There was also a warning saying that the car was over 500km past due for an oil change and that driving could result in serious damage to the engine, which wasn’t exactly comforting while trying to enjoy the car for the day.

Do not answer the phone with the name of the company. I had to ask. They took 30 minutes to pick us up from airport in a non-descript vehicle after I called the third time. Car was very clean and perfect size. On the way back driver asked me to do a review while driving. He was watching me! While driving! Will never patronize this clearly unprofessional establishment again.

Avoid at all costs. First time I rented a car from here, it wasn't ready until 3 hours after my reservation time. Second time I tried to rent a car here, they were out of cars and cancelled my reservation after I arrived and waited in line. Use Aligo instead (about a 10 minutes walk away). After West Coast turned me away, I went to Aligo and got a car within 5 minutes.

Called to confirm my reservation three times, and yet once we arrived they told us they did not have a car for us. Something about a mix up by a third party. Offered us nothing in return and we can't find the same deal/price anywhere else in the city, in fact it is virtually impossible to find another another car in this city on short notice. Unbelievable.

Terrible customer service experience. We tried to rent a car from here through NextCar and received a text message that our pickup window would be from 9-10am. When we arrived at 9:30am, West Coast Rentals told us that we had been marked as a no show and refused to help rectify the situation. This is a predatory establishment - buyer be warned.

Staff was very help. It was the day that rogers was having all there issues. The most of the systems were down but desk staff stayed relaxed and calm. They were very pleasant to the people who were calling. Car was clean and great on gas. The desk staff on my return again were very nice. I would definitely us them again.

Horrible service and very Ill mannered staff. Don’t know how to treat their customers properly and even though they charge so much don’t have the decency to update their website. I highly recommend looking for other options as this has been my worst experience being in Vancouver and renting cars for 2 years.

Rented a 911 Carrera 4s from these guys and it was fantastic service. Ahmed and his crew at the 1156 Hastings location were great. Very professional, helped me out big time after hours so I could get a bag I had forgot in the frunk. I’ll be renting from these guys again.

Worst place to rent a car in Vancouver as no after hour service/call/support, paid extra money for full coverage yet company refused to claim through the insurance and charged me 572 CAD without my permission. Please avoid paying anything extra for their service.

I was in a bind, all car rentals on the entire Vancouver Island were taken and I walked into this office, was helped by very friendly staff, and left with a brand new car within 30 minutes. Highly recommend, especially if you desire more luxury over economy.

Was suppose to receive the GTR and I asked them on phone if there’s a deposit and they said only 1500, when I show up there to pick up the car they said it’s 20000. Definitely wouldn’t recommend there rental cars cause there’s lots of hidden fees

My mother always taught me that if I don’t have anything nice to say, I shouldn’t say anything at all. So I find myself in a conundrum. West coast helped me realize how great the other hundreds of car rental experiences I have had really were.

Good car rental but not very confidence experience. Car they gave me was nearly 100000km driven and had worn out tire not street legal even. Car had a lot of scratches and dent. Then they charge you for going to another province or usa.

Got this rental through Expedia. Good service, though it's not at the airport! You need to call them for a ride or take the train. Otherwise all went well, they weren't too busy on the day of drop off so we got an extra hour for free!

I’ve rented cars from this company twice and have had good, quick service. I even had a free upgrade this most recent time. The shuttle to the airport is comfortable and fast.
