lets start off with the size. it's pretty big. you think it takes 8min to walk to the station but once you get there, it's another 2.5mins (sometimes even 3mins) just to get up the stairs and then down again to the platform. having said that, there is a great view from up the top. they have great bike facilities but they are occasionally broken. i was very pleased to see one of those instant top up with card only machines at the old platform one. but then they did construction and the new platform one doesn't have one. you have to go all the way to the other end. those big myki machines are so slow there should be more of the little card only ones. i used to like it when the beautiful freight trains were parked close by but now sadly the tinsel town houses block them out. i met a chap on platform 2 the other day and he said exactly the same thing! lastly, i'd like to critique the colour choice. yes, i understand the aim is to have a big burst of colour on the horizon, but who chose that green, and what does it stand for? it has a bit of a lego land type feeling. something more neutral would have been a more appropriate decision. all in all, west footscray is an ok station. 3 stars from me.

It’s a nice station but the best thing about it is the free carpark for commuters. It’s impossible to get a cark park at Footscray so West Footscray is the next best thing. There are lots of stairs to climb to access all platforms, but there are lifts if you’re unable, or don’t want to take the stairs. There’s also a wheelchair ramp down to one of the platforms. The main negative is that at peak hour many trains running a limited express service don’t stop at this station. Google maps doesn’t yet factor that into their journey planning so make sure you check the ptv site as well.

Great station. It's big spacious I love it. Not to far from flinders street but I saw a review on a bike so maybe be a bit more carefully and if anything does happen. Make sure you call the police ASAP okay I am updating this review now I have seen it but there is a vandalised bike (not mine ) I have also put in a complaint so it should be fine but PLEASE Park at ur own risk

One of three stations in Footscray, and for design this might be my favourite one. It was upgraded a few years ago and is very modern and accessible with stairs, ramps and lifts on both sides. There is a customer service desk here. Less people seem to use this station compared to others. However during peak hour, many trains skip this station so watch out.

Great functioning station. I just wish they could label their platforms from the Concord floor. This is the first time I've been to the station and I had to ask someone where platform 2 was, not knowing there is only platforms 1 & 2 here. But other than that, it's nice station with wheelchair access & two vending machines -one for drinks, one for snacks.

DO NOT LEAVE BIKES THERE, NOT SAFE. Ok, so I am at this station every day. The other day I left my bike in front and didn't pick it up same day, and it was stolen. They've cut the chain and stole my bike and my helmet. Today, I've see another bike being vandalized. SEE PHOTOS.

Has a handy clothes/toy donation bin out the front with plenty of parking. After going up the stairs, there’s a beautiful view of the city through a photograph mesh reflecting Footscrays history.

The station itself is fine but security at the bike parking area is a joke. Don't lock your bike here unless you're ok with it getting stolen or stripped for parts.

Clean and nicely renovated. There are some place to park your cars and bikes. This place is relatively quiet and well lit. Very close to Bunnings.

Great station wirh frequent trains. Good for gunzeling as many interstate freight trains and regional passenger trains going through.

Announcements from station staff are totally inaudible on platform 1. I've advised staff in writing but there's been no improvement.

The station is pretty clean and majority of the time; the trains are on time. I'm a early starter, so I always find car park empty.

Been here 3-4 times for various reasons. Like Footscray, RRLA did a good job rebuilding this. Massive step up on the old station.
