We had a terrible experience with Westheimer Transfer due to multiple issues. To start, our sales person was not very responsive even through the initial sales process but we decided to move forward with them due to the competitive price they initially quoted. We had our content in storage with them for four months. When it came time to ship our content, they increased the price significantly (~ 25%), citing labor costs have increased substantially which they could not forecast. This is in spite of the fact that we had agreed on a fixed price and our sales person had confirmed same in writing. With us in a different city, we had no leverage and had no choice but to pay the higher price. While the staff that packed our content were respectful, the driver that dropped off our content was very unprofessional and got into an argument with our new neighbors over where they had placed their garbage can on the street. He also shouted at a landscaping crew that were servicing a neighbor's yard for parking too close to his semi truck (completely insane!!!). To top it all off, he also refused to setup most of our furniture pieces claiming that a 'third-party' arranged by Westheimer Transfer will be doing that the next day. That third-party called us one week after our content was dropped off. We had already put everything together everything ourselves at that point. Last but not least, we were asked to sign all the forms at the end blindly confirming receipt of all content without actually going over the tag numbers to ensure all content was actually received. We used King's Transfer about 4 years ago and found them to be better on all fronts.

We have a large house and a lot of inventory. You sent us a crew of 6 people to pack up all of our belongings and move us. It took 4 days to get us packed. From Dan Morgan, who came out to give us our quote to the crew that you sent, Driver Chon Serna and crew Juan Durantes, Antonio Vanentine, Leslie Taylor, Jaketa Hardy and Areatha Williams were excellent. They came into our home with a smile and were a little overwhelmed at all of the items that needed to be packed. All were very courteous and helpful and over the four day packing period we developed a wonderful working relationship. After we were moved into our new home it was sad to say good bye to them. We would just like you to know that you have a great team and they deserved an "ad-a-boy" for all the hard work that they had done! You should be very proud of your team and know that they represent your company extremely well, upholding your high standards that you are trying to achieve. I will recommend your company to anyone that has to move. There is always a lot of stress and hardship when one has to move and you made the move an effortless and easy part of this hard ordeal. I utilized this company mid summer 2020 for a move from Houston to the Dallas area. I was initially impressed with the team. They were very nice and responsive. Our items were moved into a storage facility until were found a new house. I would have given them a higher rating but the overall quality is not what is expected. We are now 5 months later and taking our items out of storage I am extremely disappointed in the condition that our items are in. We have a dent in our refrigerator, several scratches on furniture, and a couple of broken items. We decided to use a local moving company and when they started moving items out of storage even they inquired who we used because there were items that should have been better protected and they were not. There were heavy items stacked on fragile light boxes. It is unfortunate because after spending over 5K you would not expect to have damaged items and some that you have to throw out due to the damage. Now that we have had another company moving the items it is likely I will not be able to put in a claim for the damages. Just so disappointing.

We had a great experience with our move from start to finish. We were moving our whole home from Houston, TX to Boston, MA. Getting a quote was easy, and it was binding and accurate (we did not go over our quoted price). Working with Angie to coordinate the logistics was great, she was super responsive and was always able to immediately answer all of our questions. The driver was Garcia who was accessible throughout the long trip to keep us updated on the ETA of our things, and he went above and beyond to deliver our stuff on a day that was more convenient for us. The moving team took great care to make sure our stuff was wrapped carefully, and laid down carpets to protect our floors. We did have a couple cheap items with very minor damage and our set of bolts was lost that was used to assemble to table legs to our dining table. Both of those things were easily fixed. We had no major damage to any of our other furniture or fragile items. We would not hesitate to use them again.

We used Westheimer Transfer and Storage for our move to Melbourne, Australia and again to Oklahoma City, OK when our international assignment with my husband's company was complete. Upon returning to the States, Westheimer shipped our items that we had stored with them while abroad to Oklahoma City, OK. Once delivered, we realized that our china cabinet had been damaged during the process of either packing and moving for storage, during storage, or while delivering to our new home. We spoke with Westheimer's representative, Shirley Papich, only to be met with hostility and anger. My husband and I were hung up on several times and were even called "liars" when trying to submit our claim for the damage. We eventually did receive a payment to fix the cabinet but this was not without disrespect, frustration, hassle, and more time than we should have had to spend. I will not and would not use this company again because of the disrespect we received.

From 2008-2017, on average, I moved more than once per year and usually acquired the help of moving companies. My most recent move (and hopefully the last one for some time), was in Dec. 2020. I used Westheimer Transfer & Storage, and I can honestly say that I have never been more pleased with a moving company. They were on time (even a few minutes early) and were extremely professional. They took great care of the items that were valuable and wrapped any items that could possibly be damaged in the move. The best part was that it was not done at the expense of time. They moved quickly, but with great care. It was without a doubt the best experience I have ever had with a moving company. I would use them again in an instant, and would recommend every one else to do so as well!

I'm a driver for another agent out of New York that has handled moves lead by Westheimer many times. I must say, they are VERY organized and even more so professional as well as polite and courteous. So many moving companies out there are what I call "horror story moving companies". Not these guys. On top of that, they've always been so kind to me any time I've been to their warehouse to pick up shipments and always have all the details for me to make it a painless experience. I know it shows itself to their customers as well because they're always in a great mood when I arrive and always tell me how pleasant their experience was. I highly recommend Westheimer for any move!

Do not use that company, we still hasn't received our packages and boxes. Angie is the most irresponsible, careless agent. You will call her all day along, leave voicemails and she wouldn't bother to return your calls or give updates. She is never at her desk, either at lunch or stepped out. When to charge a service fee she would be calling you from early morning and charge immediately before picking up the stuff. We've been waiting for it almost 3 weeks although we were told it will take a week. Because of their carelessness I had to buy vacuum cleaner, towels, bedsheets, blankets. Spend money on the same stuff we already have.

My wife and I moved from Houston to Palm Desert,Ca. So after 20 years of living in the same home , we have gathered alot? They came on a Monday and began packing and on Wednesday everything was being loaded and moved. The driver asked me on Wednesday would I like to have our things on Friday? Of course I said yes? And Friday morning at 9;30 am .they were at the gate. As they unloaded, I helped them by checking off the numbers, which tells you whats in each box. Nothing was broken or damaged and the driver and his crew were very professional the whole time. We appreciate everything that was done to help make this move a success.

I had called at least 5 moving companies to get quotes for a move. The salesman from Westheimer sent over to do my quote (Dale) was very pleasant and was knowledgeable about the move details. He gave me a sense of trust. Then I talked with Angie who works in the office and she was very helpful, pleasant and responsive. The drivers they sent to do my move (Luis and Marie) were very efficient, patient and professional. They arrived on time, respected my property on both my old home and my new home. I would highly recommend using Westheimer for your next local move or your out of state move. No complaints!

Our experience was great. We moved from Houston to Roanoke, VA. Dale came to the house to prepare an estimate. He was totally professional. Sean was our driver and was in charge of hiring both the loading and unloading crews. We did all the packing and unpacking ourselves. Sean could not have done a better job. We completely trusted him to take care of our house and our possessions. Also, the reason we called Westheimer in the first place was due to the excellent experience our kids had with them when they moved from Beaumont to Victoria, TX.

We recently moved back to Houston and utilized the services of Westheimer Transfer & Storage. The service was impeccable. The crew arrived on time and were very courteous. They worked hard throughout the day and cleaned up after themselves. We had Westheimer pack us as well and I would highly recommend using that service as we were able to relax and watch real professionals handle the responsibility. I would recommend Westheimer Transfer & Storage to anyone who is looking for a great moving company!

This company packed, ,moved and stored for me. There were packers in different rooms and I was handed an inventory list which I did not question when my belongings were being loaded. Storage was over four months and I did purchase insurance. Delivery was made and I signed accepting it . I was deceived .This woman who just showed up at the end of the day assured me that I was only signing for delivery . Boxes were not all opened. I was denied any compensation Fraud and Deception !

I was very pleased with my overall move. They were prompt, professional, and did an excellent job with packing, loading, and unloading my stuff. This was a move of over 160 miles. My only area for improvement would be more communication on the front end on what the movers will and will not take and the timing of when things will occur. I felt like I had to ask a lot of questions on things that should have been explained to me. I would definitely use again for my next move.

Westheimer Transfer & Storage absolutely exceeded my expectations. They were ver but proactive in following up on all the details. I had to reschedule packing/loading and delivery dates a few times, but they were on top of it and able to fit me in. The movers themselves are now like family to me. Hired Westheimer Transfer & Storage receive/load/unload three pallets and various equipment for a job. The team at Westheimer was professional, friendly and very responsive to communications/inquiries. I was emailed every time equipment arrived, as well as alerted to any potential freight damages from carriers. They even coordinated someone to meet me at 7am on a Saturday to finalize the job. This is my 2nd move with WTS. Each one was as good as it gets. Extremely professional and courteous team - top to bottom. The first move was local. This recent move was a challenge - load, unload to storage, reload from storage, move across the state and unload at our new house. Roughly 10 tons. No issues at all. No breakage, no dings, no dents. Each promise date was met. And the packing/wrapping was top notch. HIGHLY recommended.

The crew that helped pack and move us was phenomenal! Such care was taken with all our possessions to make sure they arrived safely, and in two days they had a big house ready to transfer. The unloading was also amazing as each box was labeled for the room destination. Cannot say enough good things about the hardworking, courteous, and honest folks who helped us get into our new home! Not a very happy experience with Westheimer Transfer & Storage and Allied Van Lines, so many cartons were opened by movers during transportation and so many items were stolen, and much furniture were damaged at delivery, they just care how much they charge you, they don't care how to serve you, be careful and good luck if you decide to choose them as your mover.

Dan (coordinator), Chon and his entire delivery team did a fantastic job helping us move from KS to TX. They were called out as a backup crew since our primary driver had a mechanical issue with truck, nonetheless the team carried on professionally and did a thorough job to ensure all of our belongings arrived safely. The packing/loading team was great. We had no broken items on a 1,000 mile move. I’m leaving 4 stars because one of the unloading crew kept hitting on my girlfriend. I don’t think he was an employee. I know day labor is hired for a lot of this. I still don’t appreciate paying several thousand dollars to have my girlfriend made to feel uncomfortable.

This was the easiest and most professional moving experience I have ever had. The movers work efficiently and carefully. I am beyond grateful and satisfied. We chose this company because they were available to move us in the time we had to move. It was a recognizable name company that gave us a binding contract. Communication was very poor as far as the move. The third party movers they used were excellent. If possible I would hire them instead of Westheimer.

Very pleased with initial point of contact, but then various people handle the process and at times things slipped through the admin cracks. The container arrived safely, but the level of frustration because of repeated questions could be a point to work at to imporve their overall customer satisfaction.

Completely disgusted by the phone customer service. Angie not only hung up in my face, but wouldn’t let me get any of my questions out. When I asked to speak to someone else, I was put on hold, and then returned to the managers voicemail box. I wouldn’t leave 1 star if I could.

The move was flawless. Everything was in good condition upon arrival at my destination. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star rating was the poor attitude of the folks that came in to pack my remaining goods (about 5%) because I had not completed the packing.

They are the best movers I have ever encounter and I have moved 12 times now. They were on time and worked all day and night. Nothing broke and nothing had a mysterious disappearance. I will hire them again next time. Price was reasonable too.
