"A wonderful neighbourhood and park! Definitely beauty and a peaceful setting abounds here"
"It's a little scary of you have kids that like to climb and have no fear yet"
"Nice place to go for a run"
"A beautiful park offers rugged and diverse trails for different exercise levels or just a leisure walk in the woods or by the river"
"If you want a challenge and view the beautiful river, climb up the stairs and have a great work out to reach the top"
A wonderful neighbourhood and park! Definitely beauty and a peaceful setting abounds here...just another firm testament to Edmonton's marvelous river valley and interface with unspoiled natural settings in the middle of an urban setting. The only disappointment, at this time, was that one branch of the many branched trail here was closed and under significant reconstruction due to washing out. However, well worth the visit regardless!
It's a little scary of you have kids that like to climb and have no fear yet. On the bigger structure, they are able to go up pretty high using just plain stairs, and then at that height (over 6 feet) there are places that are open, so they can just step right off. It's nice that there's a parking lot to use and the sightlines are great pretty much where ever you are in the park.
Nice place to go for a run. Has the hardest stairs in the city in my opinion but I like that. Love that the footbridge is right there too so after the stairs you can easily run across to Fort Edmonton Park. There is also a beaver hanging out at the bottom of the stairs. He's pretty big and cool to watch. Bring bugspray though!
A beautiful park offers rugged and diverse trails for different exercise levels or just a leisure walk in the woods or by the river. Whether you chose the stairs or the tracks, often you will be rewarded with stunning views of the North Saskatchewan River and the nearby bridges.
If you want a challenge and view the beautiful river, climb up the stairs and have a great work out to reach the top. There you can continue down several paths of hiking but don't forget to take the time to look and take in the magnificent view of Edmonton river valley
Nice playground and sport field but No washroom as of now, I guess because of the covid? To avoid confusion About the stairs down the river, you need to walk, following the walking path ahead about 15 minutes from the park to reach the stairs though..
People looking for a nature experience without leaving the city don't have to travel far. A wonderful experience for getting in touch with an almost natural atmosphere (there are some paved trails). It offers great walking or riding ones
Beautiful wide open park with trails for walking or biking but trails aren't very wide but still good, there is a playground near the parking tennis courts soccer fields space to bring sandwiches and a blanket, tables pretty nice place.
Fabulous river valley connector pathway. Be kind and share the path with your fellow humans. Try not to take more than your fair share of space. Your garbage should not be tossed ANYWHERE except in a bin or pack it home!
Our favorite park in West Edmonton. My kids are entertained for hours with the variety of play structures, sand and wood chips. Lots of parking. Bring bug spray, since it's near the river, there's mosquitos.
This is a jewel in the city. Many trails branch off from the park to take, lots of green space and scenery, highly recommended if your looking for something to do outdoors and you have some time to kill.
Great trails to walk even if you wanna stick to the sidewalk it's a lovely stroll. Recommend bringing water if you do the trail in the back and know that cyclist also ride through those narrow paths!
Nice place with some different types of play structures. I filled in a couple of ankle breaking holes but that could happen anywhere. Nice deep sand base under play equipment.
Great park to partake in some of your favourite outdoor activities. Lots of walking paths through the neighborhood and river valley. Also an excellent outdoor rink in winter.
Had a nice walk here and went to the fort edmonton foot bridge.I even saw the train from a distance for the first time. There is stairs so just leave your strollers at home.
Amazing park, kids super polite and play well with others, for the most part parents are friendly. (The ones I spoke with). Lots of activities and walking paths.

Parking is in a residential only area. The paths are nice but be aware of the staircase with 200 steps in order to get down to the paths by the river.
Beautiful walk down a flight of 200 stairs leading to a trail to a beautiful bridge. The stairs are a great workout and the view is a nice treat.
Completely feels like you leave the city, great walk, bike, run. Mosquitos are crazy though, so bring bug spray and be prepared to reapply :)
This natural area is such a wonderful part of our river valley trail system. The bridges and stairs make it very accessible to the public.
A nice community and a nice park. Many paths leading to routes of varying difficulties depending if you want to go into the ravine or not.
It is a fun park with basketball nets 3 soccer fields and a playground. It is situated in a wonderful community with caring citizens

Its has a very iconic view in Edmonton parks and those stairs get you in shape in no time. Good place to spend some off time in.
Our favourite hike in the city. A set of stairs that you will remember. Find the path across the bridge to Fort Edmonton Park.

Nice newer playground, for smaller & older kids. Lots of neat slides & crawl thru areas. Dinosaur theme.
Great stairs and very cool view of the river valley. Hard to believe only a few miles from downtown YEG
I'd love it more, but those stairs had my legs burning for days (although that's why I was there).
Awesome stairways to heaven takes your breath away on your way to the top if you can make it lol
Edmonton has the most beautiful walking trails. This is one of them. You need to explore it.
Great park that connects you to the river valley trails via the fort Edmonton foot bridge .
Great place for kids to play. Just wish it was the same park that I played on growing up.
A beautiful walk in nature. Stay in Oleskiw and Westridge or cross over to Fort Edmonton.
