I’ve been with this dentist for over 10 years and up until two years ago, I’d say everything was fantastic. The current dentist is also nice and I haven’t had an issue with her (which is why I couldn’t give one star). However, unfortunately the admin is shocking! The last 3 times, we’ve been contacted on the day of our appointment and told to come earlier; this isn’t possible or practical at such short notice, particularly for my daughter who is in school. We shouldn’t have to take her out of school because the admin here is a mess. On one occasion, we were told the hygienist had to leave early for something, and could we come earlier? We couldn’t, and 30mins later we got a call to say our appointment had been cancelled because she was sick. It was clear she wasn’t! I had something similar this evening whereby we had allotted appointments times for tomorrow which fit with my daughter’s school (booked 3 months ago) but the text messaging has decided to move it 30 mins earlier. Can you imagine having to call your school to ask if your child can come out early because your dentist has mucked up again?! It’s so frustrating! Unfortunately, the messaging service they use is also a total mess and incredibly annoying. You will get 2 daily texts every day until you book an appointment, even if you are not due. They’ve a silly process whereby you are texted automatically after 6 months (even if you’ve been told to come back in 9). I have been told that you can opt out of any texts or emails, but this isn’t practical as then you don’t get reminders of appointments you’ve actually booked. The only solution is to book something months or even a year away, which can’t be great for their business. So unfortunately, this isn’t the great place it used to be and the administrative aspect makes it an unpleasant experience. I really hope they sort this out.

I would not recommend this practice not even to my worst enemy. They never admit any mistakes they make and usually they blame every single problem that you have on your diet. Previously I came home crying a few times after being told that my teeth are terrible, being shamed for eating sweets etc. By the way, my teeth are perfectly fine, they have a really nice shape to them and they're pretty white. I brush my teeth twice a day without fail etc. I truly never had any major issues! This was what made me decide to leave them though: I was their patient for a couple of years about 2-3 years ago when I decided to find a different practice after a poorly done crown. I have complained to them about the size and fitting of it as it didn't seem right, they didn't seem very keen to rectify it as they didn't seem to think it was an issue. Today, so after 2 years I have just found out that the root canal under that terrible crown wasn't even done properly, it developed an abscess over time which now requires a dental implant (approx. £2,000)!! I feel like this practice should be paying for this however I know I'm dreaming or something since this is never going to happen. Bottom line - find a different practice or if you're already with them, I truly hope you never have any issues!

Since being taken over from Mrs Riley, it has gone down hill. My actual dentist seems lovely but the owner is terrible. Has over charged myself and my husband for treatment and is being very pedantic when I want this sorted out. Has told me he will phone me back when the surgery is on lunch as speaking to me on the phone is not as important as patients who are physically in th surgery (even though I am not in the area and have a baby to look after so can’t pop in for 5 minuets as told to). I phoned back and although the owner said he knew what was going on with the charges, he wasn’t going to tell me, I had to wait for a call back from a dentist. I’ve never known anything like it! He of course had all the time in the Work to discuss teeth whiting with me last week. On offer for £395!! Money grabbing ring any bells??!! Reading some other comments, I’m not the only one who’s been given this opinion! 30 years with Mrs Riley and 0 issues. A year with the new lot and 3 separate costing issues...... Wish me luck in getting my money back!!

This is a terrible dentist. Mrs Riley no longer owns it and has new owners which are terrible and only want your money. They didn't listen when I said I had an phobia of needles and still tried to give me one. I was late to a 1 hour appointment by 20 mins (called ahead to let the, know I was running late) once arrived they said they couldn't do anything today now even though I had 42 minutes left of my appointment. They also tried to charge me for 2 fillings which were covered on the NHS, but they tried to put me through as private at £200 per filling. PLEASE don't come to this dentist, they only care about your cash and how much they can get from you. After today's experience I am changing my dentist and my entire family as these new owners can't be trusted one bit. WARNING: They will try and con you out of your money

The dental care was fine. Administration is, however, truly terrible. After my first dentist appointment, I was accused several months later of having not paid for the appointment in full - despite paying the price I was quoted. When I enquired, it became clear that the dentist hadn't even realised I was a new patient so had accidentally charged extra for X-rays. It is easy to make a mistake but there was no apology forthcoming and it was incredibly rude to be falsely accused in this way - especially as I was away on holiday. I've since tried to make appointments for extensive dental work but have never had my calls returned and have now joined a practice where the admin is much friendlier and more professional.

The attitude towards patients at this place is dehumanising, twice I have shown up for an appointment where literally nothing was done, it costs me money to make it to the appointments. To avoid repeating the same mistakes, as I am disabled, I make sure to call ahead of the appointment to clarify what it entails. Every time I call I am rushed and spoked to condescendingly, being treated like I’m wasting their time. Sadly I am stuck with the dentistry indefinitely. Do not apply to be a patient at this dentistry, unless you can deal with being treated like an idiot.

I have been a patient here for more than a year now. When I moved to Bristol and needed a dentist fast because my implant bridge fell out, they were the only ones who were willing to help at short notice. They even sourced materials from a brand they normally do not work with to fit previous dental work. I stayed on ever since, and my husband is now a patient too. I have a history of bad dentists and dental botchjobs, and please do not believe the spiteful reviews, everybody here is brilliant. A good dentist costs money and takes time.

They often cancel appointments and get annoyed when you can't make their alternatives. One of the reception staff is really rude and unhelpful. They take a deposit in advance for hygienist appointments and then wonder why you ask for the deposit back when they cancel on you. Dental appointments are really quick and always end up with the guidance of booking with the hygienist which isn't covered under NHS, so it seems like a scam to make money. Also the hygienist is only there two days a week so appointments are really limited.

I phoned up to a polite receptionist around 5/6 weeks ago and she said she’d put me on the nhs waiting list at number 40. Next thing I know I’ve got my first appointment, I was very nervous as it had been a few years since I’d been the dentist but the staff were lovely and put me at ease. Had my two appointments in the same week and it was quick and professional. I’m over the moon with their service. Already booked my check up in 6 months. Thanks to everyone there especially today when I was nervous about my fillings!!

This is the best dentist practice in Bristol. From the lovely reception staff, the really attentive dentists, great hygienist care to the fantastic communication ahead of appointments. I had a check up, filling and a hygienist clean this month and I am so pleased with the level of prompt care I received. It was so easy to book appointments and each visit was a pleasure. The hygienist, Marta, gave my teeth the best clean in years. Thank you!

Had a check up with Malgorzata and treatment was arranged for the following week. Absolutely fantastic dental practice, where all the staff are attention and caring. The treatment was painless and I felt at ease the entire time. Highly recommended white dental practice and their fantastic team.

  • Renata Lopez-Gatell Fernandez

I was initially really not impressed with the service. Which was mainly due to miscommunication from both parties. That being said, the practice made the effort and took the time to try and rectify what had gone wrong. Having thus a real desire to provide good customer service.

  • Frances

Had a hygienist appointment today with Marta - I’d been putting it off for over a year as the last appointment I had with someone else was quite painful. Marta was brilliant, thorough and it was pain-free! I will be back sooner next time provided I can book with Marta again!

  • Thomas Brown

Great dentist, very accommodating. Generally cared about my tooth pain and squeezed me in 3 times in one week at short notice to sort out the two different problems .Now much better . All done on NHS quickly and professionally . Much appreciated

  • Robyn Anne

I signed up as a new patient and have tried to book an appointment by calling up multiple times over several days and emailing - never with a response! Would not recommend as it seems impossible to get through to someone to book an appointment

, 03/09/2022 I had a 11.30am hygienist appointment with Marta, who was really gentle, and compassionate whilst dealing with myself. Ive got really sensitive teeth. She consistently reassured me whilst dealing with me. Thank You very much

  • Lucy Everson

Great experience with the dentist, dental hygienist and reception. I was really worried about having my teeth cleaned as they are so sensitive, but Martha was so lovely and put me at ease. I won’t worry about going to the dentist again!

This was my first dentist appointment in a while, so I wasn't looking forward to it! The dentist is amazing! She put me at ease, was very thorough and explained everything to me clearly. I'm very happy that I chose this dentist.
