Terribly rude service by the ‘checkout girl’ named Darlene. No ‘hello’ or greeting, my deli meat barcode wouldn’t scan so when I asked if she could key in the code manually (as I stated I was in a bit of a hurry & had a huge trolley to put through) she stated, ‘I’m not doing that, the numbers are too long!’…seriously??!! After that, continuous rude & arrogant service, throwing my items through the scanner, throwing my items into my bags…I stated I was happy to be served by someone else if she had a problem with me; she stated ‘I don’t have a problem!’…. Continued with the rude & arrogant tone throughout….didn’t give me the total when paying (over $400 mind you!) & of course no ‘thankyou’ or ‘goodbye’…. Even though I actually was in a hurry I went to the customer service desk & asked to speak to a manager to make a verbal complaint, which I did. The male manager was very nice, apologetic & said he’d speak with her… I work in the customer service industry myself (retail also!) & HAVE NEVER & WOULD NEVER treat a customer in this disgusting manner! Even if you’re having a bad day she was just outright rude & nasty…! I also then saw her (obviously) telling the next customer that she served all about me as they both kept looking back at me from her register & she was laughing…! Even if I have to now go back to this store (which I’ll try to now avoid!) I will certainly be avoiding Darlene’s checkout line! SORT OUT YOUR STAFF WOOLIES CLAREMONT!

Hands down the worst Supermarket I have shopped with in all of Tasmania, Coles, Woolworths or IGA. 1.) Prices on most items are more expensive than any other store. 2.) Quality of "fresh" produce is laughable, I have regularly seen rotten cherries, beetroot so old and rubbery it bonces, flaccid snow peas and egg plants gone soft and a meat department that smells like meat going bad. (not to mention the water pumped meat that most supermarkets indulge in) 3.) Variety is horribly limited on some items and items with some variety are limited to a single brand. 4.) Getting service is appalling as there is regularly only 1 checkout open and 1-2 express people serving. 5.) Attempts to resolve these issue with both Woolworths head office and the local store have fallen on deaf ears. 6.) Regularly out of staple items such as eggs. 7.) Regularly out of common items such as potatoes and mushrooms.

This is the 3rd time and I am absolutely disgusted. I never expect to experience such bad behaviour from Woolies Claremont. My first incident was with the lady at the self checkout absolutely racist, My second incident happened at the express checkout where I put all the stuff on the counter still The lady said her hand can’t reach it so I had to give it to her hand and she still started to argue. Now let’s come to the last incident, Tonight when I came out after shopping and I was near the butcher shop the security called me from behind and told me that I need to put my trolley back that was on the self checkout. He could have told me earlier while I was coming out but no My question is what sort of customer service is going on here ?

As with any Woolies and Coles, the customer service just depends on the individual serving you at the time. They're always well-stocked and I've noticed that they seem to have roast chickens available later than some other Woolies locations in Greater Hobart, which is handy. There's a lot of parking, it's a wheelchair friendly venue, and it's usually a positive experience. Feedback would just be to continue reminding staff that the focus should be on the customer you're assisting, not the conversation you're having with your colleague. This only applies to a handful of staff though. Mostly they're friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and tidy.

Woolworths Claremont what can I say! Well to start of with how is your Hr management and Hiring personnel address the compitance of the actual service that your employees are providing to customers. Recently you're staff have forgotten the importance of great customer service as highly as you advertised. Especially your cashiers . Well I think it takes one Bad apple to ruin the experience for one shopper and move a paying customer to another compitor. Please adress this issue.

Same quality fruit /veg/meat as all other Woolies supermarkets ..can't complain about that......however the staff i came across besides the lass in the deli were very disinterested and obviously not members of the endangered species of friendly Tasmanians i have been told about. On a brighter note the music that greets you when you walk into the shopping centre itself is excellent not your typical elevator selection!!

I went to self serve and purchased 1 bottle lemonade and $40 cash out Walked out to car park then realized i didnt take the cash out of machine Hurried back in to talk to staff and 1 lady checked footage for me and saw my money being taken by the next customer Unfortunately could not help me with any other help or refund etc So dissapointed

Less staff than required. Really felt sorry for the staff working at an unsafe pace. Prices super expensive, like most woolies. Good staff but that's not a credit to woolies. That's a credit to the fact that they are human beings, unlike the horrible corporation that is Woolworths.

Ordered and paid extra for a delivery window, however the driver stole our groceries and this store refused to reissue a delivery that evening. This left us without food for breakfast and lunches the following day. Will use Cole’s and Hillstreet instead.

Sunday 31/7 1 15 pm. Once again Woolworths Claremont with seriously uninterested supervisors organising staff rotations and people standing 5 & 6 deep waiting to be served!! I rang the office. Georgia said she would speak to someone on service desk.

3 people in line ahead of me and when I tried to ask them if I could go first because my trolley was only half full and they had less items they didn’t let me and when I went to complain to worker they told me to wait in line (very rude)

If you need to fulfill a shopping list and not just go home to the wife with a bag of red frogs this is the place to keep you out of the dog box . I went back . I got more red frogs . Whatever happened to the green ones

1st time I have been there and very impressed with the store and also the centre it is located in. So much better than where I normally shop. Big, clean, great deli section and overall a perfect selection of food!!!

Staff are friendly. Store is clean. Needs more self serve checkouts though. Five doesn't cut it. Especially when two or three are card only and most of the residents of Claremont tend to pay with cash.

Open daily till 10pm, usual Woolworths supermarket. Easy parking, friendly staff, not my local supermarket so found some items hard to find, the layout of the supermarket was very different to others.

This is one of the worst supermarkets. I only go here because it’s local to me. It’s old, dingy and always has long lines and wait time and hardly anything you are looking for is ever on the shelf.

Very busy place. But like other woolworths, good. Most items were in stock, specially toilet rolls, hand sensitisers, face masks. Vegies were fresh. You can also find parking close to the Woolies.

Doesn't stock as many items as some larger Woolworths stores. No proper in-store bakery so fresh bread is not as good as others. Roof leaks when it rains! Always friendly and helpful staff though.

Rude staff member at service desk bigger lady blonde hair was not only rude to me but also rude to my father. This was my normal supermarket not anymore tho. Staff need customer service training

Tidy store with a friendly atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Always enjoy shopping there. Store is in a mall where you can get a coffee, eat and do a wee bit of other shopping too.

Worst ever today. Checkout person was so slow I was tempted to take over. At a time when you should be limiting the amount of time customers spend bunched up in line this was really not on.

It's Woolies same old same old only more expensive, no space to move is always out of stock and more expensive wow woof. Poor brave staff with big smiles all are under paid and overworked.

yeah we used to do our shopping there we do our shopping in glenorchy because my bank. my husbands bank is there to but every week we get our meat pack and we mostly get smokes and milk

Well stocked with everything I like. Store and toilets clean. However it always seems to be rush hour. After work at 5 is a mistake unless you want to be there for an hour or more.

I have an assistance dog and the staff have heen trained correctly and I have never had a problem taking him in to the store. Also the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Best place to shop Glenorchy need to keep stick on there shelfs always out of everything,staff TO LAZY to go out back to get prouduct for you,Claremont so so much better

I used the self check-out today. The young boy working there ignored me and directed the young girl inline BEHIND me to the vacant checkout. Teach staff not be ageist.

The place itself is fine. Clean and tidy. Sometimes depending on the day or the time of the day they don’t always have stock. But other than that it has what we need

Had to return a hair dye as the dye tube was missing. They were more than happy to swap it over. Very happy with service and the chocolate eclairs were very nice.

Pretty good shopping experience but the only downside is that there are not enough checkouts especially self serve, even though there is enough room to fit more.

A great supermarket although you need to ask to find out which day the meat specials are out because any other time you will not find a lot of reduced meat.
