I did my grocery shopping at this store last night. I went to the service desk to be served by a guy who was speaking to another customer the whole time he was serving me. When I got home I noticed one of my products was missing. I called the store immediately and I mentioned this and they knew exactly what happened and told me to come into the store with my receipt. Upon further inspection of my receipt after the call, I noticed that I was also double charged for another product. The man who served me was distracted by his conversation with the customer and made two mistakes with my shopping and he had no greeting nor asked how I'd like to pay or anything which is unacceptable and is how mistakes happen. I came back the next day and explained what happened to the nice lady at the service desk and got my missing product & a refund for the double charge. Be wary and double-check that your items are all bagged & your receipt before heading home if you go to an assisted checkout. I wasted petrol and time coming back to have the issue fixed. I'll probably use self service next time; I usually choose to be served whenever I do a larger shop, but I think I've just lost trust.
One star for the dirty presentation of the Woolworths precinct at Sandy Bay. Shopping there is pretty depressing because of the rubbish and leaves that are left for days to blow up into corners and accumulate around the place. It is surprising that Woolworths Management have no pride, nor consideration for its customers. Even if the whole precinct is not the responsibility of Woolworths, you'd think that they would keep their immediate surrounds clean. (I have noticed this for a few years now, and finally getting around to posting something).
Was trying to get cash out after my shopping. Did everything right said approved then the self serve wouldn't give me my cash. Staff where not helpful. Even after resetting the machine. Still nothing. THIS IS THEFT. the staff member Ethan was his name, said oh it will go back into your account in 24 hours. Pathetic.... Wouldn't even let me talk to the managers.
Sadly not a great experience at our last visit. We received a call to say our pre-ordered meat dept item was ready for pickup. Arrived within 15 mins of initial call and had to work through 4 levels of staff and all the bluster that entails to pick up a simple meat product. Lack of product knowledge was to blame, which means a lack of training.
A visitor to your area. Shopped at 4.30pm 27/11. The 2 staff members at the Deli were more interested in socialising with each other than serving. There were no other customers waiting at the time. Then when eventually served an answer to my question re product was treated with disdain and arrogance. Service rating. VERY POOR.
Terrible click and collect service again, order missed somehow, no help by staff 'we charged you but forgot to actually do the order, so you'll need to call the call centre and wait on hold for an hour to get a refund'- use Coles or click & collect New Town
Not sure if it is the policy here but Why the Hell do you need everyone working at the same aisle at the same time??? Chatting, yelling, throwing cupboard and stopping shopper from grabbing anything from the shelf ???
This Woolies has an INCREDIBLE clearance meat section. Onlookers stand by oohing and ahhing as the Woolies worker puts on the specials tags - not joking. Otherwise, has good parking and a great central location.
Good place to go shopping like other Woolie stores but not after 10pm or so … you will have all these salespeople running everywhere with trollies and stocking goods and won’t care that you are around …
Once again I can't get to certain products or practice safe distancing thanks to restocking trollies being left in front of selves unattended during the middle of the day.
Pretty much your standard Woolworth experience. The public toilet at the front of the building is a bonus.
Helpful staff. Abyssmal range of vegan/lactose free items - especially icecream!
Maggi oriental does not remind me of home, instead it reminds me of Australia
