We have been loyal customers for 4 years, but we were incredibly worried this time as the quality of the food and coffee was absolutely dreadful. The burger bun was incredibly hard to bite into, and even pulling it apart didn't help. The schnitzel was even worse, requiring an immense amount of strength just to take a bite. To make matters worse, the coffee was absolutely horrible. It was without a doubt the worst coffee I have ever tasted. I even asked for it to be remade because it was so bitter, but the second attempt they gave me was even worse than the first. I paid for the coffee, but I couldn't stomach more than a single sip. When we expressed our concerns to the staff, they simply brushed us off, claiming that no one else had complained and walked away. I won't recommend this shop to anyone, and we certainly have no intentions of returning. To the owner : It's the same business we were this morning at 10.30am. We asked for manager or the owner. Staff said owner is not here. Try to take a feedback and correct your staff. You can check on the camera we didn't even drink the coffee and left it on the table even though we paid for it. All we asked for was better coffee. One lady came and said she drank coffee 3 times and it tastes the same. We own a hospitality business too but never reply in such a way to any of our customers. We tried to help your business as the taste changed a lot. But what we experienced was rudeness from the staff. That made me to write a review.

Coffee and B&E Roll I didn't expect this quaint, corner structured bakery to have a fully functioning eatery inside the heart of the shell, yet it beats away so eloquently with smiling staff and dedicated service. I haven't had a caffeine hit in months, and I'm glad I decided to stop here. There are ample opportunities here to chose from. My roll was fresh and fragrant. The texture of the combination between layers is a new experience to me, it resembles a brioche slightly to the touch of that silky smooth outer bridge and then you are surprised with layer upon layer of perfectly cooked egg yolk, fluffy white and an exceptional serving of bacon. The bbq sauce (relish?) made the experience more enjoyable and left my palette wanting another serve. Well blended Amanti coffee with the right amount of texture and a perfect temperature to drink straight from the pour. I will be back, hungry and thirsty for another sample.

Always on point with their pastries. Delicious potato pies, sandwiches and fresh juices. I previously rated this place 5 stars however have recently been let down. I came through a few weeks ago and was quiet disappointed in the customer service response when I’d ordered two large juices within plenty of time before closing only to be told that they had already cleaned the juicer machine and so they couldn’t serve me as it would be a lot of effort to re clean the machine? Is this for real? There was no signage to indicate that juices aren’t sold past a certain time. I work a similar job in a cafe and that to me sounds like pure laziness. The time after close should be allocated to cleaning, not before whilst there’s opportunity to make sales, they lost customers that day.

Such lovely smiling faces behind the counter - it is a joy to spend my money on such delicious food with such lovely people. I had a roast beef and gravy roll there a few weeks ago and on recommendation of a young lady there today, I had a Mars Bar ice cream. Oh my goodness - sensation overload (and I am sure it was probably low calorie and low sugar ... right?). I think I have found my new regular when I am out cycling and it will also be nice to stop in with family for a bite at times. Thank you ladies for such a nice experience. I am sure you were all probably tired after a busy day and looking forward to going home but you still had happy smiling faces. See you next time!

Almost always packed, great no nonsense everything for a bakery eatery. It's too busy to have such a poorly designed service area. Customers are always having to manage each other as to whether people are waiting for food and drinks or to be served. It slows down service, its annoying, because even if people are waiting in line they tend to hang back so far because of all the other people milling around but it's impossible to see what's available before you are getting served. A, Z shape rope line section would do the trick. It would force people waiting in line to move close to the counter so you could see everything behind the glass and on the menu.

I had the steak and bacon pie. Very tasty, lots of bacon chunks and a big chunk of beef, lots of gravy, pastry was good, slightly well done on top and slightly undercooked on the base, so perhaps I had one from the top shelf of the oven, perhaps they could be rotated for a more even bake. However it was within acceptable limits, still very palatable. Also had hot chips and gravy, shoestring/french fry style, plenty of chicken salt, cooked to perfection. Soft drinks were nice and cold. A good experience. Polite service. Will go back again. Looking forward to trying the wide selection of offerings on the menu. Thanks.

All your standard white people “bakery” items. More of a Pie and Sweets shop than bakery. Exactly what you expect. No particular stand out items and a little on the expensive side (but what isn’t these days) . Quality is good and range is fairly large. It is what it is. But sometimes you just have a craving for an old fashion stodgy Apple Slice. One of those places you order too much on nostalgia, get half way through before questioning your life decisions (again) before throwing the rest in the bin while vowing to join the gym (again) tomorrow.

Fabulous old fashioned Bakery food. I have for some time now had these Guys cater for our State of Origin function. The order is always perfect, delicious and READY ON TIME. Something not to be taken for granted on this night. All of my guests have at sometime commented on what a great idea it was and how much better then pizza the Pies, Sausage rolls & Custard Tarts etc,etc are. A real Aussie flavour to a traditional Aussie night. The staff are friendly and efficient. The burgers are pretty damn good too. I absolutely recommend them.

  • R V

The Yeronga Bakery and Cafe serves up the best pie with mushy peas; so good it has to be served on a plate to cope with the thick layer of peas and the quantity of sauce provided on the side. Of course, if you're not into such Aussie delicacies, there is also a huge range of other bakery staples, including desserts. Whenever I drop family at the hospital, I drive the 10 minutes or so down the road to Yeronga, and grab some lunch or morning tea here for less than half the cost of hospital parking! Highly recommended.

Just tried your Crème brûlée doughnut. It was super delicious. Have tried your sausage rolls and pies too. They’re awesome. Will highly recommend this place

4.5 star rating from hundreds of reviews, seemed like the logical choice as I was working in the area that day. Said the price was $18, put $19.70 into the EFTPOS machine. The pie with peas was truly disgusting, cream donut was made with yesterday's pastry and cream. All around just bad, I am sick of these places that have great reviews but are horrible in real life. I had to leave an honest review of this place. Thanks for nothing won't be back.

My sister has been coming here for years for the curry pie ... We were there on Saturday and she was looking forward to her curry pie ...They mixed up the order and instead of 2 curry pies we only got one and the other was a chunky steak pie ... It was nice but the curry pie hardly had any curry in it at all ... Needless to say she was so disappointed ... She feels that they have changed over the years ... In saying all that the pies are ok ...

  • Amanda

My partner and I checked out this local bakery today and I'm glad we did. Awesome variety of home-made, freshly-baked goods that are seriously delicious and reasonably priced. The barista also packed a killer iced coffee that was one of the best I've had (used to be a barista) - the presentation and proper fresh cream (not just cream out of a can) really made it stand out. So good. Definitely will be back!

  • Jasmyin Tay

Staff are excellent! Come a few times and they make an effort to remember your name. They've got the usual breakfast but theirs is really value for money. Hamburgers start at 6.60 and it's a huge portion, juices are 7 each and it's done on the spot. Their scones are not typical but it's really good. Plus point - they open really early. We were there at 6.20am one day and they were already up and running.

  • Anna Truffet

Great bakery with a wide range of savoury pies, rolls and sweet deserts. Also great burgers for lunch as well as has English breakfasts. Would recommend. Coffee is decent but not great. Staff are always friendly and warm. You can take food on the go or have it dine in (dine in recommended for large food such as the burger). Be mindful weekend mornings do get hectic for seating. Wheelchair accessible.

  • Bron N

This is our local bakery, and whilst it has changed a lot over the years, the food is consistently delicious. We can not go past here without buying the passionfruit vanilla slice, however today I tried the savoury mince jaffle for breakfast. The flavour was immensely enjoyable! The flat white was strong and delicious, too - well worth the money! Thank you for a perfect meal

  • phut r00g

Great coffee, great baked goods, great bread, great made-to-order food (breakfast tools, sandwiches etc), great service. The ice cream cabinet is a nice treat too when it gets warm. Staff are all delightful; if ever they get someone in who doesn't measure up, they either improve or move on pretty quick. Have a cappuccino from Brian & anything to eat & you'll be very happy indeed.

  • Christopher Buttery

Good quality food but a tad overpriced. My major grievance with this business is they have a minimum EFTPOS purchase amount of $10. They will specify they are willing to waver this if you are willing to accept a 20c fee which falls under the 'Ban against excessive surcharges' set by the ACCC under law from the 25 February 2016. Cleverly of course this is not signed as such.

  • Paula Peinbauer

Would only come here if you have no taste buds Coffee was way below par Their all day breakfast was extremely bland, the tables don’t even have their own salt and pepper. Such a small and cheap thing that could make this place better. Staff were ok. By ok, I mean ok and not good. Probably the worst breakfast I’ve had in brisbane. Cheap, but you get what you pay for.

  • D.G. Rebbechi

Pleasant staff and a good range of moderately priced sandwiches, pastries, biscuits and cakes. The hot chocolate was tasty and the coffee seemed popular with the locals. It is conveniently located in a shopping centre with carparking and toilets adjacent. It appears to have seating for around 20-25 people despite Covid restrictions and of course you can take away.

  • wc allen

Visited the bakery today and disappointed to find flies inside the glass cake display unit...like 2 bush flies and a big blowie! Mentioned to the young sales assistant but wasn't concerned. Waited my turn to get served and flies all over the fresh cream in cakes. Turned me off so boight a couple of hot pies. Not bad. I will be back to check tomorrow.pies

  • Carly Ponting

First time we have tried this bakery and a last minute decision as we were driving past! Best decision we could have made. Everything was extremely fresh, pies were delicious and the peas even more so. Vanilla slice was not too sweet and really lovely, and the date and walnut loaf was delicious! Staff were lovely and very attentive! This is a go too!

  • Bob Reilly

My son and I had lunch at the bakery. He had a beef and potato pie, while I had a lamb pie. The pies were hot, the fillings were top class, and the pastry was great. To finish off, we had some gelato. He had honeycomb, while I had peppermint and chocolate chip. Both were great! The service was fast and friendly. We will be back! Bob

  • Amanda M

Had coffee here before it was eh. Thought i just had a one off. Came again to try the coffee again and still eh. Definitely expensive for what you pay for. Great customer service tho for early hours in the morning. Not sure why but just taste like milky dyluted coffee. Also the size of the coffee? Very tiny for a medium coffee.

  • wayne jean

Great food, decent coffee. Always great service. Good job. I enjoy their steak sandwichs. As I uploaded some pics I remembered I forgot my takeaway juice after lunch. 10kms away I called them in case they are still calling my name wondering where I was. They offered to make me another on the next visit. Awesome crew. Thanks!

  • Adam Taylor

This was my go to coffee spot in Yeronga far a few weeks since moving to the area, but something changed on my last two visits and the coffee quality is not what it used to be. Nice little bakery with loads of options, great staff and a really accessible location. Worth a visit, and let me know how you found the coffee

  • Joseph Waghorn

This is an amazing bakery, they're pies and sausage rolls have tasty filling and flaky crusts and are pretty cheap for how good they are. The ice cream is also nice, and the fill the cone right up. They also have a really fantastic menu that I'm definitely wanting to try out but it all seems reasonably priced.

  • Y K

Well run place. Adequately staffed- which is quite refreshing to see. Could do with more options on the menu perhaps....will definitely go again. Good coffee. Will try their juices next time. Apparently quite the treat. Place did look clean and welcoming. Hopefully will get the fifth star when I visit again!!

  • M Brady

Have really enjoyed the sandwich’s and baked goods. Have not tried the coffee. A couple of times there were issues with the baked goods and they were happy to refund or give something new, no fuss. Really appreciate good service.

I must update my review. Today I tried to get a cup of coffee on my way to school with my daughter. After I paid for coffee, in 15 minutes nothing has happened. As a result, we had to run without receiving our order at all. It wasn't crowded, the waiters just did nothing. Guys, it seems you owe me $5.

  • Spittali Spittali

The BEST bacon and egg rolls! I use to be a interstate truckie. Travelling over a 1000k a day, I've had my share of them all over the country lol.. Good value for money makes them the best cure for that hangover. I really wish I could say great things about the coffee, coffee is average

  • Paul Ansen

Best Bakery around the area, Work local and searched for weeks trying many places for fresh, tasty, healthy options for lunch and Yeronga Bakery come out on top by far. Thank you for your professional service and delicious food, keep up the good work. See you soon for lunch.

  • Lachlan Shine

Like it says on signs it has the best pie I would recommend going here ASAP. If you love pies you will love this place cause without a doubt this has the best pies in the world. If you guys are reading this keep up the good work and make food people I know will love. Thanks

  • Shane Law

4 July 2021. Went to bakery after lock down. Ordered the chicken schnitzel burger , $9.8. I will be back for another, hope they don’t change it. They use real fresh cooked schnitzel with fresh salad. Friendly and efficient service. This is great local spot. 5 stars.

  • Goll I

Had a chicken and salad sandwich here this morning and wow it was fantastic made to order and with brilliant helpful staff it was so nice to visit and those pies and cakes are to die for and did i mention the amazing coffee ide give this place 11 out of 10

  • Kylie Shiels

Nothing makes my morning better then a hot coffee and chat with the incredible staff at Yeronga Bakery ☕️ After moving to a neighbouring suburb, I still make the trip everyday for that first coffee and it’s the team behind the counter that

  • JADE SAR

Went in as soon as they opened for some fresh bread only to be told they don’t have any. A bakery without bread? Fancy that! I grabbed one of their pies since I wasn’t going to be able to cook my planned breakky at home. It was pretty good.

  • Karen

I ordered a lactose free medium coffee yesterday & paid an exorbitant price of $6.40, it was definitely undrinkable, the coffee tasted like hot milk, no coffee. This place use to be a regular place for me to visit, I won't go there again.

  • Bertram Tregenza

One of my regular haunts with consistently good food obviously made with quality ingredients and skill. All the pies and sausage rolls are fresh and savoury. The burgers are tops too. The sweets cabinet speaks for itself! Always busy.

  • Trent Riley

Went here for some brekky which was amazingly priced and absolutely fantastic. Ended up having 2 coffees which were absolutely phenomenal, asked the baristas name who was bryan (brian?) If he is on for sure smash out a coffee or two!

  • Karl Teske

I can't eat here, but my partner loves it!!! It's always busy, but you never have to wait to long and even of you do, it will be well worth it. Everything from delicious sandwiches to awesome bakery snacks. Will not disappoint!

  • savannah wong

Bacon and egg wrap! Winner! And everytime I come here, my coffee is made perfectly. Great and friendly service! I've got birthday cakes made here before too! And each time, they were helpful, and the cakes fresh and delicious!

  • Natasha Harvey

Disappointing. The gravy for the chips was watery and lumpy, i may as well have popped into coles and mixed my own powder mix. Strawberry milkshake was almost flavourless. Waste of time and money, should've gone to Chompers

  • Insert Name Here

Give this one a miss, too much onion in these pies. I don’t think there is a baker in there. I bet this review gets no response explaining the onion in the recipe, or if there is a baker or not baking them. Oh well, next.

  • Alexander

Have been going to this bakery for roughly the past 5 years and the quality of food has not changed; always top tier. Often switch between getting a pie or one of their big breakies. Their baked sweets are delicious too!

  • Arnold Fisher

Always excellent friendly service, great coffee on the run and very fair pricing. I have visited this shop for over 5 years on my way to work. I buy my colleagues a bun for under $6 that serves 10 plus awesome …

  • cm-bsr

The best Curry pies in Brisbane. Good sausage rolls as well, although the snag rolls have gotten smaller over time, they're still real and filling. Always good service and reasonably priced for the quality you receive.

  • Fee Noack

There all day breakfast was great but there pies are just absolute slop paid $7.20 for steak a mush pie could not pick up to eat it. One of the worst pies I have ever had. Then your workers are ripping me and you off.

  • IGenerate Digital

We are frequent visitors of the Yeronga Bakery, they produce some of the best pies, bacon & eggs sandwiches and roast and gravy rolls - a quick walk down the road and open 7 days a week - what more could you want!!

  • Luke Bennett

The staff were very friendly and the big breakfast was super tasty considering most of their store is so as a bakery. The price of the food was extremely good. Probably the best value breakfast I've had in decades.

  • Katie Papi

LOVE LOVE LOOOVE This place ! Everything’s nice there , big apple pies are just delishhhh The only down side is people taking ages to pick out what they want .. but the bakery and the service are always fantastic!!

  • donna evans

The owner of this establishment was amazing she went above and beyond to accomodate our needs had a hiccup there and she rectofided the situation immediately thank you so much will recommend this place to everyone

  • Benny Mendoza

It's where I first tried a meat pie in my life! Although I don't think it will become a staple in my diet I think it's fair to say that a store that gives memorable experience deserves 5 stars. Great service!

  • James Richards

This is a really good little bakery/cafe. The ham/chicken rolls are fresh and delicious(leg ham off the bone). The pies are good and of course, the cakes and pastries are great. Staff are quick and efficient.

  • Nick Ardill

We were crazing pies whilst on holidays and happened to come across this bakery. Great prices for great pie. Got desert for the family as well. Definitely have to try their chocolate frappe they are amazing.

  • Brian

Prices up, quality way down. Sausage rolls dry and over cooked, cake inedible. Burnt, crumbled, assistant couldn't even put into a bag without breaking. I've tried to perserve, but I'm done with this place.

  • Squire Zook

Staff were friendly. one star . food was dreadful. Bacon half cooked . couldn't make a hot chocolate sent it back 2nd time wasn't much better. mince so salty couldn't eat it. Walked away very disappointed.

  • Cathy R

Excellent freshly made sandwiches/rolls - lovely Maleny gelato. One of the best fruit buns and lamingtons going around. Open long hours. It’s a great place to come and sit and watch the trains and trucks.

  • Richard Thomas

Regular and long time favourite lunch spot. Great pies, fresh sandwiches. Even the ham they use is sourced from the butcher in the center. No supermarket plastic ham here. Their slices are very tempting.

  • Karleena B

What an incredible bakery! Great coffee, amazing staff and old-school flavours to tingle your nostalgic memories of childhood. I absolutely love this place and understand why it's always busy. 6 stars.

  • Matthew McDonald

Great bakery with a wide range of well presented and reasonably priced bakery items from pies to vanilla slices to bread. Good value unlike the chain bakeries with larger servings and better quality.

  • Monique bayldon

Definitely worth the drive on a rainy day the pies and sausage rolls would have to be the best ever!!! Absolutely amazing!!! 11 out of 10 Keep up the great work Yeronga Bakery Cafe!!! …

  • Lee-anne Veage

This bakery has been around for over 15 years and still smash out the best cakes, brownies, vanilla slice and cream buns or cream donouts whichever you call them. Do yourself a favor and try it!

  • Christian Horner

Excellent Australian suburban bakery cafe. Simple, reasonably priced and high quality. Best example of this genre on this side of Brisbane. Have been dozens of times and will return dozens more.

  • Gavin Edie

If you woke up this morning with a night after craving for a bacon and egg roll, this place has got you covered. Not to mention the pies, sweet treats and delicious breads on offer too! Great!

  • shaun burke

Card skimming scammers. Purchased 3 items between $5 and $6 each. The counter attendant mumble $17-something...then presentend an eft terminal with over $18 on it. This wasn't isolated.

  • Faith Stringfellow

Gave me 2 x out of date milk drinks and I was half way threw sculling the milk down when I threw up. They did not give my money back. But suggesting I should just get another in place.

  • Paris Sinclair

We were served by a super friendly staff member, I think her name was Nicole? She made one of the best coffees we have had in a while, we were really impressed. We will be back soon!

  • Katrina Hill

Lovely little spot, service was friendly and the pies and coffee were really good. I'm not local but would definitely recommend if you are in the area or like us just passing by.

  • Carly

Best beef and mushroom pies. Everything here is delish. Great coffee. Huge selection of baked goods. Highly recommend the creme Broulee doughnuts. Always busy and open 7 days.

  • Richard Thomas

One of my favourite bakeries. Good pies. Good sausage rolls. Good bread. Great fresh sandwiches. Good gelato even. Order an extra shot with your coffee, their blend is mild.

  • Lara Arden

Love the soft and fresh lamingtons made here. Been back a few times for them now, and will return again soon. It’s popular here at lunch time too. Will try some lunch foods.

  • Kim Cobine

Not sure what happened to my pie? My fave pie shop but sadly not any more. My husbands is the last picture which appears to be fine. We are not local so very disappointing.

  • Dana Perkins

I love this bakery, they do a fabulous takeaway large salad with the lot. Love it. The staff are always flat out but very friendly. Great customer service and food quality.

  • Paul Dries

Yeronga Bakery is THE place to go for a cuppa and a pie or sweet goodies. The staff are excellent and friendly. Thanks to Vee for the continued excellent service.

  • Mikaela H

Have been here 3 times now and EVERY time our orders have been forgotten/ stuffed up. It is expensive and not even that good. It is only good for its convenience.

  • lana Hinsch

Very disappointed with Yeronga Bakery No proper crockery & cutlery anymore! Who’s stupid idea was that? ( & the lovely staff are apologising to every one) …

great service, the fresh juice combinations are brilliant. Just make sure if you ask for a salad sandwich you ask for all the salads. The sweets are so yummy.

  • Damien Mcphee

Yep, if you are looking for a solid breakfast you can't beat it. It's not the prettiest place but it delivers. Eggs and savoury mince on toast with bacon! Yum

  • steve portillo

Only place in brisbane where you can get a decent pies that has been made fresh Still can't go past a Goldstein pie from the gold coast. Best in Australia

  • Joan Clifford

Always well cooked and generous quantities... Coffee and milk shakes quality and quantity... Service is relative to the number of people.... Well done.

  • Keith Erskine

Best sandwiches, pies, coffee, cakes, pastries, burgers, smoothies! I've tried them all over 30 years. Always great service from super friendly staff.

  • Maurice Serico

Great range of pies, sausage rolls and triangles. I had a cheese and broccolli triangle. Crispy and tasty. Only drawback is noise from Yeronga Road.

  • Trista Maree

Realized when I got back to the car that she only gave and charged me for half the items I asked for even though she read back to me what I ordered.

  • Aden Rossinni

Love this place. Down to Earth, everything made on premises, good breakfasts and pies, nice coffee and all in a nice outdoor seating area covered.

  • Brad Kanther

Coffee and pies on point.. roast gravy roll was pretty deadly too. Some of the other desserts, vanilla custard etc was a bit standard. But okay..

  • A S

Worst chicken salad roll. It was stale, dry, old gross salad, and just all round terrible. Unfortunately bought 2 of them. Just stick to pies.

  • Vanessa James-McPhee

Great value for money. Fresh food and tasty bakery items. Love Yeronga Bakery's toasted ham and cheese sandwich. It's real ham off the bone.

  • Viking 17

Uncooked sausage roll - again. This is the second time in a week so it deserves an appropriate review. Won't be going back to this bakery.
