There almost always a "homeless" guy at the entrance asking for money. They almost never announce that the train won't be coming for a while due to some incident, you have to figure that out by looking it up on google and noticing how pack the platform is. There is only two machine for purchasing MetroCard which isn't an issue unless one of them don't work which happens every week. Beside these problem, it a typical Subway station.
People complain about this station only having one exit but they also don't know how this station was neglected for 40 years and was overlooked for the longest. The area around this station has come a long way. Yes, I will admit it''s about 10 years overdue for a makeover and a second exit, but the crowding is not that bad during the morning rush as people say it is.
It's not great for people who may have difficulty walking, 3 sets of stairs and a long, steep walk up when you are getting out from the train to the streets. I have knee problems and having to climb up every day for work is uncomfortable. If you are in a similar situation I recommend adjusting your commute to the nearby High St. Station, the A and the C stop there.
This station is not my favorite. It's one of the busiest at almost all times of the day but especially peak commuter hours. There's only 1 entrance and oftentimes it will be where other train lines get rerouted to without any warning. It's not accessible to anyone in a wheelchair so until that changes I can't give it more than 2 stars.
Absolutely loved Dumbo Brooklyn York street was very cool n interesting. Cute shops love that u can see the Brooklyn Bridge. It's great vibes n people that are from all walks of life which is great to see individuality. Will definitely be returning n this time eating either lunch or dinner there
This is the only subway station which has only one entrance which is infact exit too almost impossible to get in and out of station if you are handicapped , older or even not in good physical health almost 50 steps to climb up or down no elevators and a lengthy inclined corridor to walk.
This station is pretty clean. The stairs and the long corridor to some more stairs are really my chief complaint. It needs a makeover for either an escalator, elevator or both. Unfortunately we know that would take MTA another hundred years to start and complete.
Not bad when it comes to train service but having one single exit/entrance in a station that serves the huge group of people that work in Dumbo just doesn't make sense. Enormous fire hazard and most of the time, you get stuck walking behind
Just a regular NYC subway station. Nothing really out of the ordinary beside the very long hilly walk to the exit . Outside the subway is very nice. I believe it is in Dumbo right over the bridge. Very close the the park and the water.
Constant, endless construction around this station (to the point where crossing the street feels unsafe because there's no where to land on the other side). Also constant harassment by men who lurk around the station. Stay vigilant!
It's right in the location that's building up,Dumbo's fantastic!!!☕ ♿✡ …
The station that serves all the creatives from the Dumbo area. This station is frustrating because it is extremely long and I already waited 45 minutes during rush hour without ever knowing when a train would come along.
I hate the way this station is designed. It’s a literal up hill battle to get out of. Platform has gigantic pillars which makes it difficult and kind of dangerous to get around when there’s a lot of foot traffic.
Very Clean unlike other subway station in NYC. You wil definitely like while walking down the station but you will never like it when you have to walk up to leave the subway station since its kind of like hill.
1 entrance, 3 turnstiles for a heavily used station. Its a nightmare getting into that station in the afternoons. The amount of tourist exiting the station, will actually block yoh from swipping in. …
The York Street Subway Station is in the heart of Dumbo and walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge Park come check out these areas plus a few place to eat as well ❤❤❤ …
Only one exit on the platform. Lots of"York" signs though, so there is no confusion of which station you're at. The incline ramp out of the station is very gradual. Impossible to get lost in here
There is one exit to the station, and it will be all the way in the FRONT of a Manhattan-bound train, and all the way in the BACK of a Coney Island-bound train, if pre-walking is your thing.
A DEEP Station that's (surprisingly) clean and has decent train service. There's cell service & free Wi-Fi here too. There's only one exit/entrance to this station though.
Sometimes the handicap signs or what's handicap isnt clearly visible maybe where the sign says York st on a pillar there should be a arrownorbeben neon blue
It was okay one exit. But walking down the block it's the start of the park to see the Brooklyn bridge,Manhattan bridge and the Williamsburg bridge. .
It's an MTA train station. It's disgusting. You feel like mole people after being underground long enough, waiting for the train that's never on time.
Still one of the worst stations!! No benches. Very bad air quality, dusty. Low ceiling. Covered in black grime Feels suffocating.
Only one way out; several flights of stairs, very few benches to sit on while you wait; very stuffy, no ventilation, etc....
It is not wheelchair accessible… I don’t understand why none of the Dumbo stations have an elevator or even a ramp option!
This has to be one of the worst subway stations in the city. Only one exit, steep hill to walk up, tons of stairs.
Trains are clean minus the homeless people it is usually fairly on time its just a lot of steps plus a long ramp
Cleaner than some stations I’ve seen. Visited during a quiet period so this is not accurate for most probably
It's a bit out of the way and only the F train stops here. If it is rerouted, this station is closed.
Too funny when the google user said I cannot believe Google is letting me rate a Subway station.
Impossible to find. Where is the street signage for the Subway??? Its Baffling for tourists
The station is getting Safer I like it, but F train always delay in the morning!
Nightmare for handicapped and elderly, long stairs to climb
It works, relatively clean and orderly subway station
Best experience till right now like..... wowww!!!
Beautiful street
