Yum! If you are short on time, my quick summary is get to Zazu Kitchen + Bakery and order to your heart's content. It is DELICIOUS. Now for the review... Honestly, there aren't a lot of restaurants in this neighborhood that I would consider good. Thank goodness that just changed. This family-owned gem is absolutely delicious. I love Greek, Lebanese, and Middle Eastern food that is of good quality. And that's exactly what this is. Situated next to a "pasta-by-the-pound" place (ridiculous), you wouldn't think you could get quality, especially at these prices, but you do at Zazu. I got the Gyro salad and you can tell from the picture everything is really fresh and plentiful. I forgot to take a picture before I partitioned out what I'm having for lunch. So I took a picture of both. What you see in the picture is what I got with the Gyro salad. Notice that the lettuce is Romain and green instead of iceberg. I don't mind iceberg, but it was nice to see romaine. There are fresh raw red onions, feta, pitted olives, and delicious little tomatoes. But of course, it's the gyro meat that steals the show. It's tender and moist and really flavorful. I can't say enough. I'm just so grateful to have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood. I will be going back again very soon!!

Finally got a chance to try this place out and it did not disappoint. We ordered to-go. They were very speedy with the order. The chicken shawarma plate was delicious and it included these pickled vegetables that accompanied the dish very well. I also didn’t expect the small salad that came with it which was a nice traditional Mediterranean salad with a great sauce. The sauce/aioli on the fries was incredible and it had sautéed onions as well. I should have realized it sooner but the cheesecake was placed on top of the hot food so by the time I got home the whole thing felt very hot. I placed it in the fridge and by the time we were ready for dessert, it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place!

I only come to review when the food is terrible or amazing. This place (even though it's a hole in the wall) is amazing. The food was great. Wonderful people working there. Huge portions. Only thing I see a little off, the menu isn't super huge. But that's okay. They have all your regulars people have come to love from a gyro spot. I really wish they would've had grape leaves. That is my one complaint. The deserts are fabulous as well. Seriously guys, don't go to panda or McDonald's, this place is way better for the same price. You will NOT be disappointed. Thanks to the sweet girl at the front. She was super nice.

I would not say I am a judge when it comes to authenticity of this type of food but I do know good food when I eat it!. I got the Greek fries, and gyro plate. The tatziki sauce and jalapeño cilantro sauce here are delicious. The fries were well seasoned and crispy. The gyro plate was good. The meat was incredible, I didn’t enjoy the rice like other places I’ve been but to each there own I wouldn’t call it bad especially with everything else. Price and quality are worth it.

So excited that this place is open! Was able to stop by on opening day for lunch and got a chicken shawarma plate as a combo with hummus. I always say you can judge a Greek food establishment by their hummus, and Zazu’s hummus exceeds expectations. The combo will fill you up (rice, chicken, salad & side) and was worth the price. Excited to stop by again and try the bakery items, too!

First time here 4/7/23. I got there around 6:25pm. I think maybe I got the end of the food. It wasn’t all that fresh tasting, I also asked for my gyro crispy (it wasn’t). I know it’s takeout but it was really messy. Not sure if I would be back when there are a lot of other good Mediterranean food spots around the area. I feel bad giving it a 2 stars but it really wasn’t very good.

My review is not to hurt your business but to make it better. I become regular costumer on till today, i am shocked how little portions are for a lot of money. I understand you guy's opened not to long ago but to become a millionaire takes time. I would NOT recommended to anyone to buy food from you , quality and quantity is way to off from your prices. If you want to serve such small portions reduce your prices.

Just…. Wow. This place is not close to my home AT ALL and we pass a few Greek restaurants on the way but we have found our fave!! We have tried just about everything and each is more fresh than the other. I can’t explain how the food is seasoned so well yet not over seasoned… it’s a different level of taste. My first visit and I ordered the chicken gyro.. the chicken was extremely dry and hard and was most likely sitting for a while. I was chewing and spitting out. Usually off the skewer the chicken would have a bit of juice or oil. Mine was stale, dry and cold. The hummus was bland. The Greek salad and pitas were only fresh. I still gave 5 star because service was good.

The chicken shwarma was terrible. Chicken was rubbery, drench in a garlic sauce that had zero flavor. I had never found baklava I couldn't eat until today. Nice people, but the food needs help.

I just finished my gyro (well, didn't finish because it is huge). I have written a few 5 star reviews of gyros and can say that this has been my favorite. What made it stand out for me was the freshness of everything and that extra kick of garlic in the hummus and tzatziki. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Will be back soon.
