Amber was amazing and made the rental experience great even after a very horrible experience with the call center. We called on our last day to extend for one day and was told very rudely the cost would be more than half of what the rental cost in total for 5 days. Which is crazy when I can go on the website and rent for $84. When we asked if we could talk to a manager we were told he was the only person we can talk to other that a lawyer. Yep that’s what he said. Luckily Amber made it right when we returned the car but we were stressed for the rest of our trip. Then to top of off a few days later we still didn’t see our deposit back called to find out they will take 7-21 days! That’s right they hold your mandatory $300 deposit for 2-3 weeks. For us they are holding almost $500 because we switched payments when we returned the car. So they actually have almost $1000 from us until we get to that magical 21st day when it’s returned. At this point we will never rent here again and that’s unfortunate because Amber was awesome. Update: 7/22/23. Apparently they refunded the card I came in to switch payments to. But in the 3 other calls I’ve made no one figured that out (and I don’t have access to the business account to check). You really can’t make this stuff up..only at Ace. All I wanted to do was change from a personal card to a business card but nope, to complicated. Complete waste of time dealing with this place. I would give 0 stars if that was an option!

I'm flabbergasted by the Bate & Switch tactics this company is blatantly practicing! I booked an economy car at $40.00 per day for 3-days. Upon arrival, Sylvia (lovely lady!) was quick to let me know they had none of that particular model, but she had a Bronco for 58.00 p/d. I asked for other options. She then lowered the price to $50.00 p/d and I agreed. I then was offered to have them fill the tank upon return at the lower $3.38per gallon rate. I agreed. I now am calculating in my head the total bill will be around $200.00 with taxes/fees. Upon returning the vehicle 3 days later, I was told they would email me a receipt. I literally had no paperwork (GET PAPERWORK from them!) I'm home for 3-days and no email. I have other emails from Ace Rent A Car, but no receipt! I check my credit card to find a bill for $305.99! I call to learn the rate I actually paid per day was $43.19 (not $40.) +$18. p/d Upgrade. The Pre-Paid Fuel charge is for a FULL TANK not a "fill up" at $54.38 They also have 2 questionable fees they never mentioned: Customer Facility ($6.75) and Concession Recovery ($25.90).

This company is a scam! Beware and stay away! I had a medical emergency in AZ - my husband called them and asked if I could drop off the car in Flagstaff or Phoenix, AZ. They said no but also said they could send someone to pick it up from Flagstaff for $1,000. My husband never authorized them to do so, they NEVER called me (the client) for authorization. I was in the ER from 8:30am to 2pm and never received any calls from anyone from ACE, neither did my husband. My husband jumped on a plane from DC to Phoenix, I drove to Phoenix and at 7:35pm I got a call from ACE asking where I was (and the car) and that they sent 2 employees to Flagstaff to pick up the car. I said we didn't authorize them to do so, she said she didn't care and we'd have to pay $1,000. I picked up my husband in Phoenix and he drove to Albuquerque where we dropped off the car as planned and according to the agreement I signed with ACE. My husband spent $1,000 for plane tickets and they charged us $1,000 extra for the service they were not authorized to do and didn't provide. We are going to sue this scam company.

Check in process was smooth without the usual pressure of other rental agencies. Went to the lot. Exterior of the car, including windows were filthy. The four or five ACE employees working the lot did not seem interested in helping. I figured I’d clean the windows at a gas station. Leaving the lot scrolled through the Kia system information. Tire pressures ranged from 26 lbs on one tire drivers side to 41 lbs on one tire drivers side. Keep in mind the tires were relatively cold still. No tire was inflated correctly. Stopped at a gas station. Come to find out the car was not dirty, the car and all windows except the windshield were water stained with marks I could not get off. The cars floor mats were removed. It sure would make it much easier to share them out prior to returning the car. I’ve never seen a rental so filthy. Returning the car we walked past a number of other agency’s vehicles. None of them were stained like this one. Must not be Albuquerque’s water system. Lot of money to spend for safety issues and not to see NW’s beauty through dirty windows.

Absolutely ridiculous level of customer service. Lady at the desk decided that my EU driving license is not valid because she can't find an expiry date on it. Yes, there's no expiry date because they are valid, for life! Even police officers at the airport confirmed that I can use it as long as I have passport. Explanations, showing translation of the document - nothing helped, I was refused to get the service I already paid for (via Booking). Of course at the other company there was absolutely no problem to get a car, just like everytime I rented a car in USA before. And today again I rented at just other company at  Albuquerque airport - no problems again. Apparently only ACE company decides to  refuse a service for some abstract reason just like that. So I can only recommend ACE Rental if you like stressful and time consuming situations rather than quick and easy pick up.

I booked the car thru Ace because they had the best price on the market. The front desk lady, NATE was very helpful and knowledgeable. She was very kind, professional and explained all details about the contract and the newest car they have. I LOVED that I didn’t feel pressured like most car rentals with add ons or extras fees or hidden fees. I got a 2022 Honda Civic. The car was very clean and odor free as well as very smooth to drive, overall it was very pleasant to drive around the city. The return process was very quick and easy. I got the receipt email after dropping off the car key and on my way to the airport. Overall very good customer service, very quick and easy process to rent and drop off. They have the newest cars. I highly recommend to rent a car from Ace Airport Albuquerque and look for Nate! Thank you Nate! Thank you Ace!

When we got there (11:30 am) they said they gave the car to somebody else and made us wait 4 hours for a new one (2:50pm we got a car) As talked about we were supposed to pay $350 for the car for a week’s worth of rent for an SUV and instead they wanted to give us a Sedan and charge us almost $800. Went back to our hotel and changed our minds so we called customer service and they said no problem we can return it with no charges. We went back to them at 4:30 and we talked to the front desk wherein they said they will still have to charge us $107 for a full day. We called on Sunday to file a case they said they will send us an email of the confirmation and will get back to use in 3 business days. It’s been 5 business days and still got nothing. The service is so bad, would give 0 stars if I can.

I had a positive experience renting the car - Sylvia was great. The MAJOR problem happened when I returned the car. I went to White Sands during my visit, so returned the car with some sand in it. Because the car was not returned 'as clean as I received it', I was charged $126.14 for you to vacuum the vehicle. You SHOULD be cleaning and vacuuming the vehicle between each rental, regardless of the condition it is returned in. So to charge me for this is RIDICULOUS! After my great experience with Sylvia, I left telling everyone to use ACE in the future. Now I caution anyone reading this to never use this company. I called customer support who insisted that the charge is valid and reasonable. Shame on this organization for the exorbitant charges for a cleaning you would do anyway.

Customer service was very slow. They made me wait over 1 hour minutes to find keys. They are also not upfront about their deposit policy. Do yourself a favor and avoid renting from this location. After the long wait the only available vehicle was a minivan. I accepted the under the promise that fuel charges would be waived. I was assured this would occur automatically. When I received the invoice I was charged over $90 for refueling when the vehicle was driven about 100 miles in total. I have been trying to get ahold of the location and they will not return phone calls or email. DO NOT EVER RENT HERE! They will fraudulently charge you for things!

I travel A LOT for work and tend to rent from ACE 9/10 because of pricing but the customer service is even more phenomenal. Each time I’ve checked out I’ve worked with either Samuel E or Karina or both of them together, they are a dynamic duo. and they are both top tier employees, providing exceptional service every single time, and not just to me, I see how they treat customers in front of me, and their quality service is consistent all day. They make renting cars so easy and quick and if I happen to need additional service they are so quick and happy to help. I absolutely recommend renting from ACE.

Quite simply the best experience I have ever had renting a car at any airport. There was no line when I went to pick up the car; the agent was friendly, efficient, and there was no attempt to get me to sign up for insurance or any other "extra"; and the drop-off was similarly straightforward, friendly and efficient. What more could one want? I don't remember using ACE Rent-a-Car before, and I don't know if others are treated similarly, but it made a welcome change from the usual stressful experience that I have had with the bigger companies at many airports around the US and around the world.

Bait and switch. Reserved a rental sedan for an out-of-town guest and used my credit card to secure a confirmed quote of $286 for a 6-day rental, excluding insurance but including all taxes and fees. My guest shows up for the car, uses her own credit card, adds a driver and insurance. Total amount jacked up to $816.28. She waits a very long time, despite a confirmed pickup at 9 am, and then after driving three blocks, realizes the car’s navigation isn’t working so had to return for a different vehicle. Feels swarmy.

Picked up the rental vehicle this morning with no glitches or issues. The vehicle is practically new and still has the new car smell! I've only been to Albuquerque once and had transportation. I rented a car for a 2 hr. drive to meet friends for the week. The customer service was excellent! Nate Lopez even looked up the weather in the area I was going to so she could ensure the car I got could handle the road conditions. I received a 2023 Chevy Equinox and the cost could not be beat by any of the other companies. I know this because I researched before I made the reservation. Thank you Nate for providing AMAZING customer service!!!

Came to Albuquerque New Mexico and booked online with another company. When I came to collect my rental car the other company told me that they were all out of cars due to some Air balloon festival that was happening that week. Thankfully for me I walked over to Ace and employee Mona provided some of the best customer service I have ever received. She got me a car at a resonable price considering the circumstance. I will defenitely be renting from Ace in the future due to this interaction with Mona.

I was given the last car in the class and before I could go on my trip I had to take the car home and clean it so I could use it, a rock chip in the windshield that has a horrible reflection. Upon returning,The counter person said that my bill would be adjusted by the manager. ?!? The following day after I turned in the car, I got a notice asking where my vehicle was, that I turned the day before. Just seems like the show could be run a little bit better all the way around.

We went here to get a vehicle on Dec 10th around 10am and the gentleman that took care of us was amazing!!!! I seriously wish I knew his name to say thank you again. But he handled our reservation in a timely matter considering was my husband’s birthday trip we were right on time and he made sure we had a safe and appropriate vehicle for our vacation!!! So many different unusual things going on with this car rental facility. No one accompanied me to the car when I first picked up the cart. My credit card was charged over $500 for 3 days. I was in for a funeral from OH. Didn't have much time to deal with understaffed facilities. So very unprofessional. All they cared about was selling me insurance and trying to push an upgrade on me.. what they charged me was more than my round trip airfare. This needs to stop.

I rented a vehicle from 7/20 to 7/26 Although the car was clean on the inside the outside had not been washed. The fact that I was in town to attend a wedding with a dirty vehicle was really disappointing. Apparently wash the car was not included in the 5 day rental. Added to the stress of my 7 hr travel the agent was rude and didn't have time to talk with about my questions. She told me to just rent a car some where else. I will never use this company again.

I reserved the vehicle for 9 am but got to pick it up 10:30 am. At that time they had no cars available, but conveniently they had upgrade choices available for only 50 dollars extra. I rejected the offer so I was made to wait until they get a clean car a available for me. There wasn't a full size car available after a 20 min wait so I was given a mid-size. So far not a good experience, I'll update post when returning the vehicle.

We had a great experience with Ace. We had booked another rental company and when we arrived, the line was so long to rent we looked for an alternative. Samuel at Ace was able to closely match our booking, was very friendly efficient,extremely helpful. We loved the car. Upon return, we had a question and Amber was kind and through. Quite frankly, one of the best rental car experiences we've ever had. The check-in process was fast and simple. We were in and out of the lot quickly. The car was almost brand new and we loved it! Beat everyone else in price by quite a lot, which honestly made me a little worried. There was one weird thing involving unexpected costs, but when I mentioned it to Eric, who was in lot when I returned the car, he fixed it right away without any hassle. Everyone was friendly and the shuttle situation was very convenient. Couldn’t be happier with my experience in the end.

Great experience! I rented just the day before my trip to Albuquerque and was very impressed. The check-out staff was welcoming and answered all my questions. HUGE shoutout to Lucas who checked the car back in when I returned. He was very efficient and I didn’t have to wait at all, which I very much appreciated in the 97 degree heat!

I screwed up my reservation with another company, which left me at the airport late at night with no car. The company I had intended to rent with actually directed me to Ace. Ace was awesome. Nice people, good car, reasonable price. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They really came through for me in a pinch.

I had a great experience with them. I reserved a car ahead of time on Expedia and had no problems with picking up on a busy Saturday. The staff was very informative and worked efficiently. Also, I wanted to extend my reservation an additional day in Albuquerque and after one quick phone call, it was good go to.

The worst rental service. The only rental car service that they make you to buy extra car insurance even if you have full coverage insurance. The lady that was working as receptionist was so mean and ruined our Thanksgiving day with her attitude. Don’t rent any car from ACE RENTAL CAR.
