DO NOT GO with them! The roadside assistant does NOT exist. It just disconnects once you select the location. There is no such thing as a spare key in their system (seems like their cars come under Hertz according to the rego search, so that's not even their cars). The staff are indifferent and like "not my problem, if you're in trouble we'll just charge you loads and make it worse for you" when I told them I'm catching a flight and I lost the car key. I ended up calling a toll truck and paid loads while it could just be resolved by a freaking spare key. Would give zero star if I could. Edit: What a disgrace AGAIN. I sent an email to the address in the reply outlining exactly what happened and they NEVER got back to me! I'm actually not surprised at all. This only proves that they're not just a couple of rude people. It's the whole company.

We have just completed a 17 day rental with Ace Rental Cars in Hobart. My husband and I had read mixed reviews about this company on line but decided to try them out. The service we received was seamless throughout. My husband rang the call centre number a couple of times to enquire on booking details and the ladies on the phone were extremely helpful. The rate we were given for an SUV was highly competitive. The car was waiting. We had been upgraded. The service at pick up was excellent. I paid the prepay on fuel at $1.75 per litre when all the Hobart stations were charging around $2.19. The car was clean, in excellent condition and we had a troublefree 17 day hire. 5 minutes to hand back the car and I got a receipt by email less than 10 mins later. Ace really made our Tassie holiday for us.

Very bad customer service. They made us pay for a complete extra day, because we picked up the car at 10 am instead of 10.30, however our car broke down and we lost 3 hours waiting for the mechanist and they’re not reimbursing anything…. Very bad experience overall
