I decided to install a garage heater this summer/fall. I called a few places for quotes. Always Plumbing & Heating was the cheapest quote. I had used them a few years ago for an A/C repair and they were great to deal with. The tech who came out on August 11th to quote the installation “Craig” was strangely oblivious to the capped natural gas line already in the garage and I had to point it out to him. He was originally wanting to run a new gas line before I pointed it out. This should have been my first red flag. It unfortunately took a week of back and forth phone calls to get the installation booked. I called the office who told me in turn to call “Matt” to get the job booked, who in turn told me the office would call within 24 hours to book in the appointment (I’m not sure why the office can’t just do this?). Anyhow, the office never called so I had to call Matt back to get this sorted out a week later. The company is busy so I get that sometimes stuff doesn’t go according to plan. This was the second red flag, but I assumed a busy contractor is good news. I just had the garage heater installed on Friday (September 15th). David and his colleague came out to do the install (I forget the other gentleman’s name). Both were polite and professional and arrived around 8:30-9:00AM to start the work. I had a quick look before they left and at a quick glance everything seemed to be OK. I had just finished a night shift and was more interested in getting some sleep admittedly. I’m not really sure why, but they made a bunch of extra holes in the drywall of the garage as they re-routed the power cord at some point. Annoying, but at least it’s an easy fix. Later I had a better look at the heater unit which was mounted to the ceiling. For some reason it’s only secured to the roof on two of the four corners (with two small screws on each side). I’m praying it won’t fall off the roof and damage my cars in the garage. Maybe there’s a reason this is installed like this that I don’t know about? It looks like a sketchy installation (I thought they suspend most of these units nowadays, but that’s my bad for not asking beforehand). David didn’t have the permit number on the invoice in order for me to book the inspection with the City. So he asked me to call, the office to get the Permit number. I immediately called the office at 11:30 and spoke to “Ashley” who said the lady who deals with the permits would send it right away in an e-mail. I waited a few hours having received nothing via e-mail. I called back around 3:45 PM and apparently the permit lady had already left for the weekend. I was told she’ll call me first thing on Monday morning. I’m guessing that I’ll be calling them again next week based on past experience…. Hopefully they actually pulled a permit. This company seems to have some administrative difficulties to say the least… It’s annoying to have to repeatedly phone them to make things happen. Anyhow guess that’s what you get when you go with the cheapest contractor. I’m also hoping this unit is actually secured to my garage roof. I may have to affix it to the roof better myself to save my vehicle from future damage if this thing vibrates itself loose. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a 5 star experience.

This is a change to a previous positive review. In the summer of 2022 our old hot water tank crapped out on us. Called around to a few places and was told it could be weeks before anyone can come out . These guys were willing to come out in two days and lied to me about this "wonderful" but now pay later financing program they had Since our household was catching up from covid related losses this sounded amazing Get installed now. Pay within three months. Get prepaid $600 MasterCard and full warranty for 5 years. Matt their tech came out two days later started to take out old unit before turning off the gas whole house filled up with gas quickly causing carbon monoxide detectors to go off he rectified that but without apologizing or anything finished the rest of the job Took 3 months to get any kind of bill. During 3 months made multiple calls to find account information to make payment to. They never had clear answer until 3 months after when I get bill from enercare for rental of unit for life. Multiple calls later demanding to talk to owner for being sold on lies and empty promises, but never getting any response. Called enercare got told no to $600 MasterCard but for my "inconvenience" they'll send me $100 prepaid MasterCard took 12 weeks to come through Canada Post. Still making payments requested buyout only to be told the unit will have zero warranty if bought out. So new plan rent until 5 years is up and then buyout However skip to this month and I must mention I rarely hang out in the furnace room another and much more efficient and better priced plumbing company came out to do annual warranty maintenance on my furnace and noticed that the heat exhaust is not attached to the wall Meaning when Matt installed the unit he cheaped out not something as I as an non expert would have easily noticed. The vent pipe plus metal plate is cheaply put there with very minimal aluminum plumbing tape. Literally hanging by last piece of tape. Called November 30 to have it rectified spoke to Osa she advised me that a manager would call back in 24 hours. No surprise nobody called Called again today Dec 4th spoke to Jessica. Jessica advised she'd call me back. Surprisingly she did advised a tech will be here between a two hour window frame this morning. They actually show up. Asked for manager to call me back for my unacceptable customer service experience. Got told by Jessica she'll pass on the message. Doubt I'll hear from a manager. Highly highly highly DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY LONGER. Sales team amazing at blowing sunshine up where the sun don't shine. After installation service team deserves a negative ⭐ review. If only Google allowed less than zero star reviews

Called them in the spring to install 2 furnaces and a water heater. All seemed fine, then with the first rain roof started leaking.Called them back urgently, could not come out for a week.Then came out, first guy checked it, called the office and said they will come back and fix the hole and pay for drywall repairs where water leaked. They did not call, so I called them back and got a date for 2 weeks later. In the meantime, rain still leaking in. The guy came, was confused, said would not fix this, was just looking. I was frustrated as my place getting damaged all the time. Then they sent out a 'specialist' William, he poured water down their pipe that they installed out to the roof, and confirmed water leaking in along their pipe, and confirmed work was not up to code, should have had some sort of raincover on it at least. He said would send me report in 15 mins, confirmed my email, and that company would call back monday. No email, no call. By this point I am calling DAILY for 2 weeks!! to get something done. Asked for the owner to call me. 5 days later, after I keep calling DAILY she calls me back. Says she will talk to her workers and call me back the next day. Of course, has been another 3 weeks and nothing. Asked for the other owner (her husband??) to call me and nothing. I am beyond frustrated. Looks like their 10 year warranty on parts and labour is nothing. Unfortunately I paid them on the day they did work, so all I have left is public reviews and a complaint to the BBB to try and get their attention. Shoddy workmanship, and do not Honor their warranty, and are not even professional enough to call a customer back. Owners hide behind the women on the phone line, and do not deal with problems. Do not recommend this company at all.

Second review (Dec 21): Once again excellent service! Similar leaking pipe issue, and we received thorough and efficient repair service provided on the same day. All the more surprising considering how close we are to the holidays. Very luck to get Robert again, he is exceptionally courteous, informative and helpful. Thank-you Always Plumbing! First Review (Jan 25): Strongly recommend Always Plumbing & Heating. We had a leak in a poly-B pipe (a type which is susceptible to problems) and they were able to provide same-day repair service. Robert, our repair technician, was extremely professional. He put on booties when he arrived and brought his own mat to set down where he worked. Within minutes he showed me exactly where the problem was located, and upon computing his estimate, he provided a guarantee that he would not exceed his quote to fix the problem, no matter what ended up being required. He was exceptionally courteous in answering all my questions about poly-B pipes and didn't mind that I picked his brains about other maintenance issues unrelated to the repair job. Once the job was finished I noticed the area was cleaner than I had kept it. Truly first rate service Robert!

5 stars but a few issues that I will mention but I wont downgrade the company for. I Used Always in 2013 for replacing 2 furnaces and HWT so used again for AC install. Sales rep was excellent on choosing the right model for the size of house, etc. Technicians for install were efficient but didn't leave a lot of direction on next steps. Issues with the contracted electrician. Friendly enough but a bit creepy and was here until after 8 at night. Also perhaps inexperienced and unsafe as he grounded out the live sub panel (upgrading that needed to be installed) which resulted in a major surge in half the house to my electronics which ruined my surge protectors. Significant safety concern. NOTE HERE: I believe Always is not using this contractor any more. I will not judge the company on a contractor. Communication was ok as well, was able to get quick answers to questions via text which is very convenient. Next steps weren't communicated as quickly as I'd like but I could have reached out as well. Also I requested install in a busy season so thats to be expected. Will use again when needed, would recommend to anyone and no concerns.

Plumber was very professional and did the job that was asked. But $486 for 15min of work is insane. He showed up right on time and then we took 25min to go over problem, discuss memberships and quotes. Then the 15min to do install. I had all the parts already, it was just that I couldn’t remove an old plastic piece that broke so I was stuck. The original quote was $604 and I said that was really high for what was needed. I’ve always appreciated the service but I can’t afford you guys anymore especially because I had everything for install except a tool to remove one piece. Now that I look at invoice which I didn’t see until now it has $350 for specialized repair including special order parts (I ordered myself), equipment, and additional labour to complete. What’s so specialized about replacing Moen shower taps?? Also thought it was weird that he told me he couldn’t leave until payment was sent which is a first. Again, grateful you could make it out when you did and Andrew was good but the pricing is outrageous and can’t recommend or use you in the future.

My experience with Always Plumbing & Heating started off very professional and friendly right from the beginning with my comfort technician Brandon visiting my house to provide a quote. Brandon was very knowledgeable, professional and respectful for my time, as I work a night shift and had just gotten off work. Scheduling of my services, AC unit, garage heater and water softener was a very smooth process and they easily accommodated my work schedule. The installation of my AC unit and garage heater was completed with great professionalism, on time and friendly service. Nolan and Tariq did an amazing job and was very particular with their installation showing great care and made sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. Great workmanship, very neat and tidy installation. Water softener was installed by Fraser and again completed with great professionalism and workmanship and set up to work with respect to our family setup for timing of softener operation. I would loved to have given a good review if I had received the service but since they lost my appt I didn’t have that opportunity. And if I could have given zero stars, I would have. Booked online, received an email with a date. After a bit of back and forth settled in a date and time. A family emergency happened morning of appt, responded to the last email. No response so called the office directly. Whomever I spoke with was understanding and changed my appt to a later date and time. That appt came and went. I called the office directly asking if they were coming out. They had no record of my previous call and appt. Said they’d check with dispatch and call me back. No return call. I called a smaller company and they came out immediately to replace our furnace motor. Called Always later in the afternoon, was told they tried to return my call, but if they did, no message was left. Very unfortunate and unprofessional experience. Will be using the smaller, excellent company in future.

ALWAYS PLUMBING did a great job on our Aug 22/23 PolyB full conversion: Craig, who did the quote, made us confident that the tricky parts of a full conversion could / would be done right. The install crew (Andrew & Aidan) worked & communicated effectively. The tricky shower conversion was nicely done in a tight space in a synthetic marble panel. It was nice to see their energy bounding up our stairs and we were grateful for some tips including an easier way to patch the only dry wall hole. We had two other quotes. We consider ALWAYS PLUMBING pricing for this work to be appropriate. Without hesitation, we would recommend ALWAYS for a PolyB retrofit in your home. We had a minor service follow up on a slow flowing bathroom sink tap. Nathan, a service manager, resolved the problem and explained the cause in friendly & timely manner. ALWAYS deserves a 5 star plus rating for the great team input to the successful completion of our conversion.

The team at Always Plumbing & Heating really care. Our furnace fan stopped on a long weekend in the winter. I called a bunch of businesses and Always were the people with a solution. First John, a man with many years of experience, came to assess our problem. It made absolutely no sense fixing the old furnace. We knew he was right. We decided to take advantage of a deal Always was offering a new hot water tank, with the purchase of a new furnace, for only the cost of installation. Always had the technitions here early on the Tuesday morning, and we had heat in a couple of hours. They returned in the spring to add a vent from the hot water heater to the chimney, as code required it to be narrowed. No extra cost for this extra service. Craig, Colby and Brett are definitely an asset to the company. Excellent customer service, respectful, caring guys. If in the future we decide we want AC we will most definitely call Always to do the job.

Always Plumbing made time to see us immediately - without charging extra or doing anything crazy - when our furnace bit the dust this winter. Even before we agreed to get our furnace replaced through them, unbeknownst to us, they had already cleared their schedule to make sure they had a spot open for us to install our new furnace, knowing that we were without heat during the winter. Even though we only had a few days from booking the original service call to getting our new installation done, they offered to bring over space heaters to ensure our whole family was comfortable. All-star service was provided by Kevin (the technician who came to diagnose our busted furnace) and Brandon, who correctly sized our house and recommended a replacement furnace at the right size and cost for our home. I know the install team will do an excellent job as well. It's easy to give a 5-star review.

I had a very old sump pump. It was about 20 years old. Before it no longer works I called and booked a appointment. Chris came over did inspection and told me it was the original but doesn't need replacement as it work well. He informed me he can give me 3 quotes to install a new one or just leave the visit as a service call. I told him I like to have it replaced and I saw the 3 quotes. I picked the one that fit my budget. He educated me on the system and how it works. Also did a inspection on my house and informed me on some issues I was not aware of that came be a huge deal if not fixed. This must likely has saved me lots of money fixing issues that could have been a huge problem later down the road. Thanks Chris for you saving me time and money and installing the new pump so I have pice of mind that I won't have flooding issues this spring.

I’m very happy with the service of Always Plumbing and Heating. First the updates from the office to keep me updated on ETA of the technician and of Chris when he attended for the appointment. The hot water tank needed repairs. He explained fully what was wrong and what the options were. Then I got my husband on FaceTime and he went through it all a second time. We decided what repair option we wanted and he called his office made arrangements to work late, as he had to go all the way to the other side of the city to get the parts and back again. He got back made the repairs and explained everything along with some extra tips and was on his way. Definitely glad I made the call to Always Plumbing and Heating. I totally recommend them! Now, off to a hot shower…

We have been dealing professionally and personally with Always Plumbing for over a year and from day one they have been amazing. We have great communication with their team and know where we are for timelines on each of our projects. When a delay may occur, we are promptly notified by phone by the Always team so we can in turn let our valued clients know of any potential changes. On a personal, note they did a great job installing our new furnace and made sure we understood how the new thermostat functioned. I have and will continue to recommend them to my friends and family. If I could give 0 Star, I would. I called for a quote to fix outside faucets mid Nov 2023 - one faucet was leaking and needed to fix prior winter. They came and looked at both faucets (I have the non free hosebib) - they actually told me I had to fix from inside (finished basement) and had to make holes in the wall to remove and replace since there was not enough "Give" in the plumbing after he removed 2 screws. I asked if we could only replace the cartridge from outside. The answer was no. They quoted me $2100 + GST! I asked the Gentleman to leave after paying $99 to receive the quote. I called another plumbing outfit the next day. They fixed from outside the cartridge for less than $200 in less than 30mins. Enough said.

I used always plumbing and heating for a few things without any issues but this time around was horrible. We booked a time 4 days away. The day before we get a call saying there is an emergency and they will have to rebook me another week away. And mid conversation they put me on hold without saying anything which I found extremely rude.. and then I get a call saying they will be here at 4pm instead of 11am and then just had us waiting all evening until it was just too late to come.. it feels like this was a way they tried to waist my time for not wanting to change my install date. This might not be the case but it feels way to wrong. And to do that to a customer I think was just horrible...

Called always plumbing to come do a main drain clean. Fixed the problem that day but 5 days later the issue happened again. Called them to come return to fix the problem I had paid for. They called me back and said they wouldn’t be able to and referred me to another company. I said I would like a refund for the services that I paid for that didn’t get fixed. They told me they would look into it. I have called again and left a voicemail and they said they forwarded it to their office. I am still calling trying to get a refund. Avoid this company. EDIT: 3 weeks later and still no update. Still trying to get an update from this company.

Exorbitant prices, each 5 minute job has a separate $175-ish plumbing charge tacked onto it. Disgusting and disrespectful abuse of client time and money. Confirmation times mean nothing. My plumber was confirmed by the office to arrive at my place at a specific time and he was still 30 min late. Then my plumber had to leave to "get parts" and didn't return for two and half hours. No call, nothing. I had to call the office to find out where the plumber was. I cancelled the job and he still showed up! Out of sheer desperation I let him complete one part of the job, grossly overpaying for that. I will NEVER use this company again.

I was unable to be present for the installation, due to work, but this posed no problem for the technician. I handled the locks and alarm system remotely and they were able to get everything done with little-to-no support. They were right on schedule, kept in close contact, and relayed all concerns or issues they had to me in a timely fashion. Despite the job taking a bit more work and troubleshooting than was anticipated, they also kept to their original quote with no additional charges. Extremely professional and personable experience. I will definitely be using them for all of my HVAC needs in the future.

Final install was good and techs were very professional and responsive. Had a few issues after day 1 of a 2 day install. Hot water was turned off after day 1. Didn’t realize that till the next morning. We’ve also had to do a different electrical plan. It will be better but a bit frustrating when you think you’ll have aAC after day 2 but now have to wait longer. I think having the electrician coming earlier so he knows what he’s getting into would be better. Install if new furnace and AC looks really clean but two different crews came which had a lack of communication between day 1 and 2 causing some delays.

What a positive experience we had with Always Plumbing. We had a leak from our kitchen sink into our basement ceiling. I was very worried because the ceiling looked terrible and we couldn’t find the leak. Chris came in the afternoon and within a couple of hours had found a cracked pipe and replaced it, cut out the leaky ceiling area and put a plate in that area so we do not have to redo the entire ceiling. It also gives access if we ever have a problem again. Chris also checked out all the other faucets. Etc. All in all, we are so thankful to Chris and Always Plumbing.

From start to finish dealing with Nathan was awesome , super professional and knowledgeable and did an amazing job . Recommend this company to anyone, compared to other companies I spoke and got quotes from Glenn and Nathan were the most professional and honest with me along with their price being half of what all the others quoted me due to their expertise and experience not having to cut excessive holes in my home when changing out my poly b lines . Super happy with my experience thank you Glenn & Nathan for making this as smooth as possible .

I hired Always Plumbing to install an AC unit to my business. We were told this would be a two week job. We shut our business down for one month to ensure they would have enough time to complete the job if something got delayed. They sub contract out the electrical, and it took 8 weeks to compete this job. They did not communicate with me when things were running behind, and have not offered me any compensation for inconvenience and loss of business. This company came highly recommended, and I was disappointed at the communication and timeline.

The technician was very good and did a very good job. The only issue I had was it seemed as though he had to justify his being at my place so long. Just happened to over hear a phone conversation he was having with someone. He was saying how this was going to be a $1300.00 job not $500.00 as originally planned for. Five star service should be about doing the job properly not trying to stay on schedule to fit in as many calls as possible. Once again technician was excellent. Not sure about the phone conversation

An absolutely wonderful experience with a plumbing business (who would have thought that a backed up sewer could be a ‘wonderful experience’). The receptionist was great ( I think it was Miranda) and the service technician (Chris) was incredible- he worked so hard to ensure that our issue was fixed - was extremely professional, polite and knowledgeable. These folks are definitely assets to this business and I would highly recommend Always Plumbing to anyone with a plumbing problem! Thank You

Your tech was here yesterday to check my A/C unit. This unit has been running for 17 years without any problems. I wanted a check to make sure it does not fail on me in summer. I was charged $450 and do not have a report on the performance of the unit. I was first told that the refrigerant level is low. Later your tech says that the unit is not cooling because the refrigerant levels are high. How is the compressor performing? Nothing, not even a receipt.

Had a wonderful experience with Always Plumbing & Heating and specifically Aiden Scully! We contacted to book an appointment to clear a blocked kitchen sink and were initially given an appointment 2 days off. Received a call back within half an hour to offer an appointment the next day! Aiden explained everything to us and worked tirelessly to clear our blockage. He was very friendly and professional. We would highly recommend Always Plumbing & Heating!

I recently had my Furnace and AC inspected to prepare for the winter. My tech was Will and he showed up on time and wasted no time getting started. Very educated in this field he did his thing while telling me what was happening. I was sorta expecting some bad news but all turned out excellent. Answering service on the weekend was not expected, scheduled for the next evening. They called to say they were running late on another job and would have to re-schedule. When I mentioned that would be fine however the re-schedule would have to be at least 6 days later as there would be no one at home and therefore no heat for the week they called back and said they would be there shortly. Excellant customer service.

The technicians that came were very helpful and friendly for the work itself. Afterwards there was an administrative error on their end that was frustrating to deal with - however, they did follow-up with me after I inquired and did take some measures to help reassure me that it would not happen again and to help make feel satisfied. I had purchased a year membership already, so we will see how this year goes.

It seems that when there is a problem with there work they are not very speedy in responding . They serviced my water softener and it got stuck on the rinse cycle and it cost me $900 on my Epcor bill. I called them and they asked me to send in all paper work which I did and then it's complete silence . Have called three time and all I get is that they are very busy . I would not use this company again !

I booked for an appointment for an estimate to replace my Water Heater. The PRICE Quoted is reasonable and when I agreed, he was able to immediately set an installation appointment the following day. The service technician CHRIS is highly professional and knowledgeable about his job. He answered my questions diligently and the Office support staff answered my questions immediately as possible.

Was very impressed with the friendly professional service that I received today. From the receptionist to the technician I was treated with respect and dignity. The technician arrived on time and was so polite and friendly. Quick efficient , honest service. In today's world it is hard to find excellent customer service at a fair price. Chris was absolutely amazing! We had a terrible emergency with water leaking in our basement from the hot water tank. He was able to remove the old one and install the new one the same day. He answered all of our questions and was very friendly. Very professional and detailed work. I’m so happy with Always plumbing and Heating being able to fit us in so quickly.

The technician David was great! He quickly figured out the problem, and gave a couple good options for solutions. In the end, I went with the option of a different sewer contractor (Instadrain) that he recommended as the problem of a blocked sewer main was one that he could have addressed but he suggested a contractor who was specialized in what I needed done.

The plumber from Always Plumbing and Heating was professional. I was given a clear outline of what I needed to have done and how much it would cost before any work was performed. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and the level of service that was provided. The work site was left clean and neat. I would highly recommend Always Plumbing and Heating.

Robert was very knowledgeable, and gave us all the options available for replacing our sump pump, and monitoring water levels. Absolutely no pressure. He explained thoroughly everything he did, and left us with pictures, before and after. And, he left us with a copy of his notes. Very nice technician, did remove the blockage and thoroughly explained. Also spent alot of time trying to sell me on other things. The issue is this company is HYPER EXPENSIVE. ALMOST 1500.00 to unblock one spot, replace a sink basket and clean some gunk from a second sink. Less than 2 hours!! We would never use them again based on the ridiculous price

Our furnace broke and I was very happy that they had an on call technician that could help us same day. We tried a lot of other places that had up to two weeks waiting periods even for emergencies. Only complaints were that they were late to arrive (but that's not a big deal, important thing is that it was fixed same day), and it was quite expensive.

We called Always Plumbing and Heating because we had no hot water and wanted someone to come the same day. It was no problem getting an appt and the technician, Nathan, who came to my home was amazing! He was professional and helpful and made the whole situation much easier to deal with. In the future I will definitely use this company again.

Nolan and Tariq were very efficient in fixing an existing problem for me. I appreciated their helpfulness tremendously. I was pleased to have a very positive experience with them and I certainly would not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends at any time. The HVAC tech that came over was amazing and was able to get the furnace up and running. He also provided me with additional knowledge about the furnace and how to care for and maintain it. Would recommend for plumbing, heating and hvac, as we’ve used them for all and are extremely happy with the service every time.

We chose Always Plumbing and heating because they could install everything quickly. We got a quote on Monday, and the air conditioner and furnace were all installed by the Friday of the same week. Nolan was our technician and he did a very professional installation. We are very happy. Would definitely recommend!

Initially I was interested in replacing the bathtub with a shower and Always sent an advisor out to discuss options. We settled on just replacing fixtures, and this was done within days. The plumber who came to our house was a great guy, did the work quickly and professionally. Will definitely use Always again.

Had a technician come to my house on a friday. Was told i was recieve a call the following monday in regards to how much a new part would cost for installation and did not get a call. Made 2 phone calls in a week asking for a response. Was told both times i would get a call, its been 2 weeks. 0 star experience

Mr. William did a amazing job on my furnace. He also did answered all my questions and explained how things work. He saved me a blower motor instead he just changed a capacitor and things works like magic. I recommend Mr William if you guys ever need a professional technician for your furnace.

Chris came out to repair kitchen faucets as there was no water pressure. It was discovered that I needed a new faucet system. The work, including going out to obtain the parts was completed in an hour and a half. Chris was very polite and explained everything thoroughly. Highly recommended!

Plumber came 3 hours late from the appointment. They did call informing that they would be late. But they then told us that they would need to charge an additional 200 dollars because the wholesaler had closed if we wanted any work done. Hilarious. And kinda sketchy.
