Have rented from this office many times with no previous issues and hate doing negative reviews but I’m very taken back by this experience. Unfortunately terrible experience this time. Picked up car and it wasn’t clean and had a strange sound coming from it I was told it was “normal for that make of car”- they did kindly replace the car. I then extended the rental for 24hours and was told on the phone my return time was 12:00 midday. I returned the car at 12:20 and was told I was late and charged for this even though there is a 59minute grace period, but apparently I took it out at 11:15 and it was due back before that- which I was not told on the phone 24hours prior to this. I asked for the charge to be discussed and rang three times when the office finally rang me back I was told “I’m very busy right now so I’ll have to look into it” - I never received a phone call back. Would not recommend this office in particular, i’m sure other Avis offices are ok.

I was arriving 10 min late to pick the car. I called to let them know, but call was directed to a calling centre, waiting 15min to get my call reaponded. Arrived 5 min past 4pm. All closed. After 30min waiting on a call they say I have to go to the airport to pick up the car. How can a car rental office close at 4pm? Why they don't give you the office number when you do a reservation? If they have a booking, why they close the office without even calling the person that is not yet there. So unprofessional

Booking the truck was easy enough and the truck itself was easy to use and drive. That's all the credit they deserve right now. I went to return the truck within the allotted time but they were shut. Someone else helped me drop off the truck. They then said I took an extra day to return the truck. It's been over 7 days and they are yet to return my deposit despite promising to return it within 5. Hertz, Budget and various other truck rentals exist I would strongly encourage you to use them.

Across from the Adelaide Railway Station, it's in an ideal location. The car rental side of this business was great BUT no ♿ Entrance is a big NO-NO! Lift up to your rental car with key and parking chit to drive out of the car park. On return, the keys plus the parking chit can be handed in to the office, or returned via a slot.

Rented off Avis for a couple of days whilst in Adelaide and had a personal issue that left me running late on returning the car! The staff could tell I was distressed, were extremely friendly and helpful and did what they could to accommodate me and make my day easier. I would use again!
