I try not to leave negative reviews but this one just gets to me a bit. Hired BC to do a move from a one bedroom apartment in the middle of the heat dome. It was very hot and the movers got the job done in about six hours. The good: no damage to my property or the new living space, almost everything made it from point a to point b. They came early, and worked hard despite the heat - no doubt it sucked to be moving while it was so hot. Three real issues. First, one of the movers took a fan of mine. Apparently this was due to a miscommunication (but who takes a fan in a heat wave without saying thank you or confirming with the owner before it’s taken off the property)? Second, the movers seemed very surprised and upset about how many things we had to move and generally unenthusiastic as the day went on - probably because it was hot. Third the movers left without reassembling my couches (one of them even asked if I wanted to reassemble the bed myself before he did it). I ended up taking a load in my own car to speed up the process. I spoke with Tyler after the fact who listened to my feedback and said it would be no problem to get the fan back. He even offered to reassemble the furniture himself. I declined both offers - if the kid needed the fan so badly he grabbed it he probably needed it more than me. The guys worked hard, but it was a pretty uncomfortable experience. They got the job done and listened to my feedback. It was pretty stressful dealing with the movers but there’s no real lasting damage. Mixed feelings about the whole thing.

I’ve moved a lot in the past but this was my first time using professional movers rather than rallying friends to help me and doing it myself. It was worth every penny and I will not go back to my old ways! Andy and Estevan (I hope I’m getting their names correct) arrived early to start loading up and were as speedy as possible while still being very careful to not damage my things. They came prepared with plastic wrap and blankets for delicate pieces and dolly’s for heavier ones. I was particularly stressed when arriving at my new address due to some disorganization on the building manager’s end but Estevan was so happy and upbeat, making jokes and staying positive which really helped put me at ease and feel like they had everything under control despite the less than ideal parking/elevator situation. The manager, Tyler who handles the bookings was also quick to respond to phone calls and texts. The only reason for me giving 4 stars rather than 5 is only because I did email a few questions before the moving day which I didn’t receive responses to. Other than that everything went so well and having professionals do all the heavy lifting really makes moving so much less stressful. Next time I move I won’t hesitate to use BC Movers again!

I am just finished with a move, using BC Movers’ services. A great experience, all around. Scheduling the move with Tyler was a breeze. All the necessary information was promptly provided via text, including detailed pricing. Patrick and Gustavo, the movers assigned to us, did an excellent job. They were on time in the morning, they worked skillfully and fast. Moving, indeed, is a skilled trade. Many may think that mover is a mover, is a mover. But, BC Movers showed me today that a move can be done truly professionally. As a result, I, as a client, didn’t encounter any stress over it. We had a great experience using BC Movers! Tyler was super responsive and easy to work with on scheduling. On moving day Gustavo and Andy arrived right on time, and did a great job getting everything out of my son's apartment. It's an older building with tight turns and small doorways, and everything made it without a scratch. We had our own truck as we were moving from Vancouver to Washington State, and they did a great job packing it securely so everything stayed in place during our drive. I've used many movers over the years, and BC Movers provided the best service and care that I've ever experienced; I highly recommend them!

Moving is often a stressful event... and finding great movers could be a complicated tasks... BC Movers are so amazing! From the moment I’ve sent my quote, they were incredible. Before the move, Tyler was very helpful with all the detailed information... The choice was easy yo make, I felt everything was there... no hidden fees. On the moving day, the team arrived on time (even earlier) and wow, they were efficient with the move. For my studio, after 45 min they were done and then hop to the new place.... The movers who assisted me were polite, friendly, and very fast! They handled my items with care and asked me questions if they were unsure how to pack or where to put something, ensuring that I was happy with how everything was handled. I also appreciate that they wore masks the entire time. I had some of my items delivered to storage, but did not go with the movers as I had to clean for my suite inspection. I went the following day to make sure everything was in order and the storage unit was very efficiently packed with care. This move has been stressful, but BC Movers definitely made it a lot easier for me!

When I tell you this company saved my day, I’m not joking. I was moving from an apartment and had a set move out time with a booked elevator. The moving company I had initially booked didn’t show up, it was a Sunday at 4pm, and I needed to be out of the space in a few hours. I was frantically calling moving companies and BC Movers not only made it work for us, they exceeded expectations. Jay and Ned were so kind and helpful. They were so thoughtful with how they moved our thing, efficient and overall incredible. They were the one bright part of an otherwise stressful day. I can’t recommend this company enough!

This was my second time to engage BC Movers and they haven't disappoint. The entire experience from the start, booking on the short notice at the busiest time of the year, through execution, moving numerous items with care within reasonable amount of time to the closing when the invoice exactly met the initial estimate, very impressive like committed vs. completed scope. Worth noting is that team was efficient, enthusiastic and motivated despite the fact that they were deployed after working for few consecutive days under record breaking temperatures in BC. Andy and Brad were AMAZING. They treated our furniture like it were their own. They safely transported all of our items with care. I was amazed at how fast and efficient they were. We just used BC Movers for our fourth move. Professional, timely, courteous and conscientious. Highly recommended. Tyler and his assistant Ifayeni arrived on time. They were courteous, attentive and worked non stop. The move involved three stops and everything was handled perfectly — including removing a new standup washer/dryer combo taking it to another condo - pulling the old washer/dryer unit out and successfully installing and connecting the new unit. The 3 guys who moved us out of our home in North Vancouver & then my sister-in-law’s home, kept our contents overnight, and then 2 more guys moved us into our 2 new places on the island…were absolutely amazing! We can’t thank them enough. They were incredibly careful with our contents, so efficient, and so friendly…it makes your move seamless and lessens the added stress around such a big move. Tyler and his team was on time, reliable and trustworthy. I had serval bad experience with some movers in the past but BC movers provided the best service with their professional, teamwork and sustainable. Took them 30-50 mins to empty a studio, they are honest mover and does not have any hidden fees. They pay by hourly but does not try to waste time so they can extend the fees. A famly member moved a home complete with amoires, china cabinet and many very nice pieces of furniture. They also had a large desk and a heavy, fragile TV. The company pre-wrapped furniture in clean blankets securely applied, arrived on time and were courteous and very pleasant despite a long day! Two gents even wore Santa hats since it is mid-Dec! Tyler and his boys with BC Movers completed our move this past Sunday arriving on time and packed their 3 ton truck very efficiently and professionally! Due to inclement weather , they wrapped the furniture to avoid water damage ! They were on time, efficient, and careful. All of our items (including some heavy furniture) arrived at our new place without any damage or concerns. Our move was Vancouver to North Vancouver. My only recommendation would be to email a quote. I think the quote was discussed over the phone when I booked but a few days before the move I realized I didn't have any written documentation of what that was. Regardless, we felt it was a fair price.
