It was decent before, but now they're just a joke. They only have a vet there for two days a week so the main way for your pet to be seen is by drop off, otherwise you're waiting weeks to be able to see and talk to the vet. Since the vet is only there for those two days if you want to pick up any prescribed medicine it has to be on those two days because everyone has the time and availability to do that. At first they were open 7 days a week. Then it dropped down to 5 days with weird days being closed like Sunday and Monday. Now they sometimes might even be there. I went to talk to someone on a Friday afternoon around 3, but a Petsmart employee told me they were closed. Last I checked they were still open on Fridays at 3 in the afternoon. So I poorly informed that a receptionist is there the other 3 days a vet isn't there to take calls but leaves whenever their scheduled to leave. Even though the store hours say to 7 pm, Banfield can still close at 3 pm because that's how the employees were scheduled. So now I can be so lucky as to get a hold of someone during their actual store hours. I said they were decent before, but that's putting it way too nicely. They were mediocre at best. The main receptionist there at the time always had an attitude. The vet and staff love to shame people who don't sign up for plans to neuter their pets as soon as they're of age. I understand the risk for testicular cancer is higher for dogs at 5 years old, but I have those 5 years to do it. My friend fell into their peer pressure and her dog was diagnosed as bipolar from a different vet because they said her dog was neutered too early as a puppy. There was another incident where I told told two different things from 3 different people from there. I had to drop off my dog there to get a medicated bath and I asked them if there was a charge for anything else besides the medicine for the bath and they said there wasn't.. Then I was called by them later and was told that I was misinformed and that there is a $50 holding fee even though I had no choice but to drop him off. Then months after all of his 6 medicated baths, I needed to do another drop off so I asked the vet do I still have to pay that $50 holding fee and the vet said there is no such thing. I'm sure I was billed for the holding fees because the receipt said so, but if I'm told 2 out of 3 times there is no such fees what the heck is going on? So for the monthly payments I'm making for my pets to get quality care, I'm sure I'm not getting anywhere near what I pay. The discounts they offer through their insurance isn't worth the crap service they provide if and when they're actually available. I'm closing my insurance with them asap and find a vet who can be available for my pets more than 2 days a week.

Upon arrival it was difficult to get the attention of the staff at the welcome desk. There was only one person there having to do check in, check out, answer phones, and handle payment. Not enough staff! During check in I was told that my pet needed to be weighed in the back for whatever reason, it was unclear to me. This puzzled me because it had never happened before when bringing my pet in for her regular puppy exams. After weighing my pet, the staff member slipped into the back area for 5 minutes and never said anything to me and just left me waiting as the line grew behind me. After checking in, by now it is 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time I am told to wait for a room. I asked about how long I would have to wait and the staff member could not give me an answer. So I waited for 19 minutes not even getting into a room until 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time upon which the same staff member working the welcome desk had to pull up my file and talk through heartworm options while I'm sure the line at the desk grew. The nurse came in for a second and checked my pets vitals then proceeded to tell me she would need to do the exam in the back. Again this has never happened before. My pet was taken to the back without me meeting the vet and without being explained what exactly would be done to her. Previously both the nurse and doctor would do the exam together in the room with me present so I don't understand why this would be any different. The vet spent all of 2 minutes with me only telling me that my pet tested negative for an ear infection. The only reason I even knew my pet was given a rabies shot was because I was handed a tag. When checking out, the front desk staff was very rude and snarky when I told him that I would not be scheduling my next appointment today. He commented on other information in my file very unnecessarily. Needless to say it was a very negative experience and I will not be back to this location.

I have this place a one star and I should not even given then one star. The receptionist that checked us out back in May 2020 did not clearly explain to my husband and I of a charge for that day of $600 and something for a plan. I then took our second puppy and the same receptionist was there and told me it was going to be $600 and something .I sId oh no I can't pay that. She then said your husband paid that when yall came the first time. I told her oh no he didn't. She said yes and printed a reciept that only showed the charge amount.. I went home and asked him if he knew how much he paid he said $80 , Im like oh no you didn't. my husband did not even know that was taken out of his account until last week when we went through his account. I gave the receptionist my credit card so she can do a payment t plan for out second puppy. We'll they claim they had a glitch in the system when I took our second puppy so they were taking months payments from my husband's bank card with out authorization for 5 months . This is Fraud and unacceptable I will never recommend any one there. The manager lied and said she was the one that checked us out both times and that is a lie.. you do not go to other accounts and take their credit card inform to charge another account

Dr. Harrington is WONDERFUL!! I used to take my dogs to the Webster location but it became increasingly harder to make appointments there so when my dog needed to urgently see a vet we took her to the Almeda location. My senior dog had been losing weight for some time and had a decreased appetite. When she stopped eating altogether and had a seizure we panicked. Dr. Harrington ran a gamut of tests on her, was extremely thorough in her examination and ended up diagnosing my dog with kidney disease. Once we changed her diet and got her on the right meds...I got my old dog back! She regained her weight, became more energetic and made a near full recovery. Dr. Harrington also discovered a tumor and, upon removal, discovered cancer in her lymph nodes. We are watching her carefully but Dr. Harrington always calls and checks on her and we've decided that this is the ONLY vet our "kids" will see. She's amazing, extremely compassionate and a very thorough vet.

I really love the bandfield team at this location. When I got my very first kitten she was about 9 weeks old. I picked her up from the city and completely freaked out when I found out she had fleas and was not fully vaccinated. The Banfield team at this location was so kind and sweet and help me calm my nerves. They gave me some solutions that I could do at home to get rid of the fleas and set me up with a plan to get my little kitten fully vaccinated and taken care of. At this point my kitten is 13 weeks she's so happy flea free and almost fully vaccinated. Every time I come to this location the doctors are more than willing to answer my questions. The front desk staff are extremely sweet and kind to both me and Lola. I cannot begin to express my happiness withThe team overall!!

I had to euthanize my cat because she was suffering from CRF and was severely dehydrated and refused to eat. Dr. Balque was amazingly kind and she never forced anything on me or my pet. She informed me about the enzyme levels and layed out all possible avenues. Inspite of being short on cash due to personal and temporary hardship I was going through, she talked to the manager and found ways get the help my pet needed without having to worry about costs. Tangerine ( my cat) and I were lucky to have found a vet who cares. I'm incredibly grateful that she was there with positive words and strong heart to help Tangerine transition to the after life and help me go through with a tough decision. I highly recommend Dr. Balque.

Please stay away from this place and all other locations. My cat was taken in for a routine scheduled teeth cleaning and died. She was put under sedation, which she has been before there, but this time they over did it and she began to not breath and her heart beat slowed down. They said they tried to save her but she passed away. This is not right. Now I want to take my other cat off the wellness plan because of their malpractice and I am told I have to pay $289? After they killed my cat they want me to pay to take the other cat off? They have changed my life more than they realize. The pain and suffering I am going through is unbearable. I want legal action taken against them. PLEASE DON T GO HERE!!!

We took our 3 month old pitbull puppy Domino to get all her shots and vaccinations. The staff was very thorough. We weren't able to go in the room with her due to covid restrictions, but we were very happy with our results. My pup had a little spot on her belly about a quarter of and inch that I meant to ask the staff about and totally forgot. But, they actually found it with out me having to say anything and informed me about it. So I knew they actually did a complete inspection on her. They were very quick and knowledgeable on everything they did with our pup. I highly recommend this location. We did buy the wellness plan, so Domino will be going there for all of her vet needs in the future.

Dont bring your pets here. I brought my puppy here for a check up and round one of shots and im never going back. The nurse stuck a thermometer up the puppies rectum, with out using gloves. He touched the puppies rectum then proceeded to type on the keyboard entering in her stats. He then stuck the same hands inside the dog treat jar and fed the treat to my dog. This place is way over priced and they tried to pressure me to buy "pet insurance" which i refused many times. Also, one of the nurses told me that you shouldnt allow your pets to walk on the floor through the pets mart because of all the sick pets that come through. So then whats the point of taking your dog to pets mart....

Took my dog in this morning for a 9 a.m. follow up appointment, was told they would call when Boomer was ready, finally after no phone call, we went to pick him up at 4:45 only to find it all locked up and unable to get my dog, how can a business think this any where close to acceptable customer service, even if he had to spend the night we should have been called and notified, they said they would call...just unacceptable...his time with the vet should have been short for a recheck, will be calling the corporate office and will definitly be getting a refund on our "plan" I will never take my dog to a place that does business like this again!! So very disrespectful...

I wouldn’t recommend using there puppy or dog “medical “ plans ! I had to get rid of my dog because my residents picked up a bred restriction! When I tried to cancel her puppy plan that’s when they choose to inform me it’s a 12 month contract and I was responsible for the remaining payments... that makes no sense and it’s sad that they don’t inform you of that ! I asked them about everything I was signing and not once was I informed of that important detail now it’s in collections and I promise I’m not paying for it! I love petsmart but screw banfeild !!

First time visiting PetSmart I was very impressed I was greeted once I walked in and was asked if I needed any help which I did... The reason I came to the store was because I was babysitting my friends dog so I needed some dog food, dog shampoo and a pillow they were very kind and showing me the options they had I walked out with everything I was looking for and more.... thank you

NEVER GO HERE. They put my dog to sleep today with our authorization. We took her in to get checked. They said they had called, 7 times and left voice notes. The incompetent front office wrote down our number wrong. All they could say is we called. We didnt get a chance to ask for a second opinion on our dog. They took her from us! I rate a 1 star because zero isn't available.

Amazing place to take your furry family member. They have excellent customer service and are very informative. Brittany at the counter is ALWAYS nice and respectful. I rescued a American staffordshire terrier from the parking lot of petsmart and this very same location is where they take great care of her.

GARBAGE PLACE TO BRING YOUR LOVED ONES IN. THE AMOUNT OF CARE AND ATTENTION THEY GIVE YOUR PETS IS MINUSCULE. THE KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO HANDLE AN INJURED PET IS LITTLE TO NONE. THE AMOUNT OF INFORMATION GIVEN IS SMALL. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE THEY ARE NO HELP WHAT SO EVER.

I love the Banfield Clinic. I transferred my dog here from the Shepherd location. These people are great. They are always very caring. Never had a complaint with this location or any other banfield location. I've been at 3 locations with my dog.

You can easily tell the veterinarian assistant did not like working with animals. She’d make gestures and faces. Would not recommend this place , and IF YOU DONT LIKE ANIMALS DONT WORK IN A PLACE THAT INVOLVES ANIMALS.

Their accounting sucks!!!! I canceled a membership years ago and they confirmed they did. Turns out they didn't do their job right. Haven't taken a dog there in years and they say I owe them $.... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
