At one time, the Suburban Station of the Chicago, Indianapolis, and Louisville Railway, nicknamed the Monon. All Indianapolis to Chicago stopped here. Service was withdrawn, on April 10, 1959, when the ICC gave the railroad permission to abandon the service. The stucture now serves as offices for the Monon Trail.
