Tickets for the planetarium should be available independent of tickets from the museum of science and history. The website does not make it clear you must purchase museum tickets to see planetarium shows. Being forced to buy a ticket for the museum when you don't want to go to the museum is a scam. Also the docent at the planetarium should do more to control the behavior of children who only kick seats behind other people during shows and ruin it for the guests. Finally, the shows are way too short.
Went for dance or lights. Would be pretty good for young kids. My complaint is how bad the seats smelled! Literally made my shorts smell so bad I had to change once I got home. Music was also very loud, even for me, my elderly aunt couldn’t handle it. The graphics clearly hadn’t been updated since late 90’s with them mostly looking like old desktop screensavers. Just wish I it was advertised more for what it really is
I recently went online and bought tickets for my nephew for his birthday. After seeing that the tickets were not emailed (all folders including spam were checked) I called to get them resent. I actually called 5 times in the span of a week and a half. I was repeatedly put off and sent to voicemails. I left multiple detailed messages and no one called me back. Buying tickets online played out like an internet scam.
The show was blurry, short in length, and not very interesting. The museum has mildew in its air conditioning system, I believe, as it smelled, and I got a headache while I was there. There are some hands-on exhibits for kids, but not worth the $70 we spent. More
Projector was blurry and the Spacemaster was retired... they use this digital thing that was low quality. They showed a movie by PBS versus presenting the stars and telling us about them themselves. This was my first time bringing my son to
The place itself was beautiful and had comfortable chairs and the art outside in the waiting area was nice. However the show itself was very uninformitive and the speaker sounded like he had very little understanding of the information he
The Bryan-Gooding Planetarium is a good idea on paper. The projection is blurry making the show difficult to see. You can also find more informative shows and videos elsewhere. The show is great for children but not so much for adults.
Not much of anything has changed since I last visited...ten years ago. Its sad that I have to drive outside of this "bold city" to find some incredible learning experiences for my children.
Always a great time at the MOSH and the planetarium. Have been a member for years and stop in at least once a month. Always worth the drive from Mandarin.
It's not busy here during covid, it's fun, educational & fairly historical. Any age with cognitive function will enjoy it at least a little bit
No cumplió con las expectativas que esperaba. Me desilusiono mucho ya que fue muy aburrido y lento y en realidad no encontré nada interesante
Favorite current show is the one about Black Holes!
A Jacksonville treasure
Great visit
