Sadly my entire new car buying experience with CMI Southside was ruined just 2 days before delivery. Upon my initial visit to CMI Southside I went ahead and placed my order for a ZR Corolla Hybrid during which I strictly communicated that I did not want any additional products or loan insurances added to my finance. I advised that I wanted the finance solely for the vehicle and nothing more as I have no need for any 3rd party overpriced garbage add ons. (I used to work for a dealership selling new cars, I’m very much aware of the process). Covering my bases I thought it would be necessary to further communicate my request to the finance department via email. I again made it explicitly clear that I wanted no products or loan insurances added to my finance to which I received a succinct reply that my request was understood and nothing additional would be added. Fast forward 6 weeks, 2 days prior to my delivery I received my contract and noticed that the vehicle price had increased $1295 over what had initially been discussed. I read my contract thoroughly to which I found nothing blatantly obvious as to the why behind my Corollas sudden price increase. The only possible explanation that I could come to was that the price of my vehicle had increased due to the impacts of COVID also taking into account my 5 month wait, so I accepted what appeared to be an unfortunate price increase. Soon after alarm bells sounded when I received an email from the finance manager advising that my cars insurance paperwork and “Auto X Car Care” package would be available for collection on delivery. After questioning the finance employee as to what the Auto X Car Care package was, I was then told “We discussed it when you purchased the car”. This was followed by a salesman spiel attempting to play on my anxieties by planting seeds of doubt, “it will maintain your car in showroom condition like when you drove it out. If I was buying a new car I would have purchased it. Those little annoying dings and dents would be fixed for nothing”. It was their desperate final attempt in the form of manipulation. Simply put, I felt sick to my stomach and asked that the Auto X Car Care product be removed immediately and that a new contract be emailed for signing. It was only after all of this, that I randomly received an email outlining the costs associated with the Auto X Car Care and the basics of what the product included. Let’s be honest, it was a little too late to be providing costs and product inclusions given you had already hidden the product in my contract and had every intention of taking advantage of me. Not at any stage of the sales process was this product discussed with me nor was it offered to me. I was provided costs only AFTER the Auto X Car Care was quietly added to my contact nor did I receive a product disclosure statement. What still unsettles me to this day is the lengths your dealership went to in order to incorporate these hidden costs as this $1295 product was absorbed and masked by the “cost of the vehicle” which made the Corolla appear more expensive than what it was, this explains why I could not see it on my contract. To add fuel to the fire, the finance employee was rude and abrupt in most dealings, notably so when I declined the Auto X Car Care as their tune changed completely. Buying a new car should be a positive experience in which you are guided through the process with care, authenticity and most importantly you should feel safe. This behaviour is barbaric and predatory. It has obliterated all trust I have in the CMI group, I feel manipulated, lied to, taken advantage of and violated. Months have passed and it’s still something that makes me feel extremely uneasy, hence why it’s taken some time to leave this review. You have no idea the negative impact of your actions and how this makes me feel even months after taking delivery of my new car. CMI Southside, do better and be better because after much reflection this experience was traumatic. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

Purchased a new car and the sales team were amazing, I would give 5 starts for this area. Aaron was amazing, very good at keeping me updated and helped me get my new car before a planned trip. Would highly recommend. Even the finance guy was great to deal with. Over all such a positive Purchase. However, the car purchased does have a clunk after reversing so I visited the service department. When I initially rang to book I was spoke with a someone really nice, however when I did a follow up call the lady was very rude and I ended up cancelling due to her saying if they didn't find anything it would cost me. The clunk continued so I rang up again to book and spoke with another lovey person who reassured me it wouldn't cost as its a brand new car. On arrival the front of service team were Polite and professional, I did a drive with one of the technicians, he was also super lovely to deal with. However, they were unable to find the issue and put it down to possibly being a relay. I asked to speak with the manager as the noise was to loud to be a relay issue. I asked if I was to get someone else to look at it and provide a report would Toyota then cover the expenses, she instantly got rude and defensive and did not answer the question I asked. On arrival I asked to speak with her again, she entered the room yelling at me and after some time calmed down. This has been the most unprofessional experience I have encountered, I will not be returning to CMI Toyota due to no longer feeling comfortable. I have since spoken to others who have had similar experiences saying there is one rude lady at this service department. I did contact another Toyota who have confirmed that the relay suggested does not clunk and it will be something else and can be a common issue on these cars.

Have just taken delivery of our new Toyota Corolla ZR hybrid and was very happy with the dealership at Christies. We went to a number of Toyota dealers as well as a few other small car dealerships. Our experience at Christies was without doubt outstanding compared to the others. No pressure sales tactics, regular follow-up (it took over 3 months to get the car as none was available in Oz) and they even gave us a loan car after we sold our existing vehicle privately. They took the time to explain all the technology on the new car (and there is a lot!) and there were a few unexpected (but welcome) freebies as well, including a free monthly car wash! (Much better than a bunch of flowers which we have received with previous car deals). The staff were great as well - their customer retention consultant Laura was delightful - bubbly, full of energy and couldn't do enough to make the new car buying experience a good one. Their new car sales manager, Brook, was also a pleasure to deal with - no nonsense, easy to negotiate what we thought was a good deal with a few extras included. He also took the time to meet with us again at delivery. The whole experience was done in a friendly but businesslike manner without a lot of time being wasted. So overall a great experience and we definitely recommend them. Try the others, but for overall satisfaction you can't beat the dealership at Christies.

We were recently looking for a particular vehicle. We found one and made an acceptable offer sight unseen with CMI Christies Beach. A Toyota Exec car apparently. After asking will there be any surprises some scratches were fixed. The vehicle was loaded and transported to our country location. It arrived with a full tank of fuel, which is nice. Our contract said 21,500 Kms and it arrives with over 23,000 Kms on the clock and a dent in the back. We were told that the dent guy just happened to arrive at the same time as the tow truck a week after signing the contract. Sure it did. The inside was not clean clearly kid grot in the back seat which matched the dents from the car seats. . After these issues were pointed out we were promised a phone call several days later which didn't happen. After a follow up message we were called back and offered our money back and advised the kilometres were racked up because the sales manager and salesman were driving it. Well of course we need a car and what a cop out. Poor service, poor follow up and typical used car sales tactics.

I have had my car serviced multiple times. But almost every service has ended in frustration and disappointment. Break reports have come back inconsistent with my break pads growing in size (without having them replaced), and work not done despite me specifically asking it to be done. For example I asked my windscreen wipers to be checked and replaced. They were found to be working fine. Please see the photo taken the day after the service and see for yourself how “fine” they were working. I have asked for breaks to be machined as they recommended that previously, and my car vibrating worse and worse while breaking, but then they still didn’t do it. They also broke a hub cap during a service and I needed to rebook later and pay for it to be replaced. Definitely won’t recommend and won’t go back here.

I would NEVER EVER rebook my car service through CMI Toyota at Christies Beach AGAIN. I regularly went to Northpoint Toyota at Windsor Gardens and was pleased with their work. I moved down South and went to CMI Christies Beach for a service. They way OVERCHARGED me for a service, all work on the work sheet was not carried out, car was in there the entire day and the staff were rude. I will choose an Independent, HONEST, reliable & trustworthy Mechanical repair business that will not rip me off. I have been recommended Ultra Car Care at Morphett Vale and am booking in there next week. I have heard great reports from family and friends and at least I will know I will get my car serviced by a professional and not an apprentice and be charged for honest work carried out and NOT BE RIPPED OFF.

Very disappointed with service side. Key playing up from day one, told it was the batteries (new car), second visit told its because I put a canopy on the back, third visit told its because I fitted a rear camera even though the camera was only fitted two months ago and the problem has been going on for 8 months. Fuel gauge says I have 30kms until empty, fill up and can only get 58 litres in it so I had 22 litres left. Reported on first service, told they will look at it on next service. Second service I was told it will have to be booked in to look at it. Booked in again (third time) and then told it will need to be booked in again for a fourth visit. 2 problems, 3 visits and nothing fixed. A lot of looking, no fixing and no plan of action.

Went to get a Quote for a 4x4 the salesman seamed to be nice enough. He sent me the Quote and it was thousands and thousands more than Holden Colorado and less tinted windows, Bull bar, ladder rack and side steps. When the salesman saw it was a quote from Holden he said Of course it is a holden, comparing a Toyota is unjust. Also they use offmarket products this is how he put it on email. I then let him know I was going with the Holden Colorado he emailed me you only get what you pay for. Let me tell you Holden and Toyota have a 2.8 motor, Holden have 147kw and Toyota have 130kw. My deal with Holden I have a 5 year unlimited kilometer Warranty with 3 year free services and after that capped price service.

I called around for quotes and toyota was almost $200 more expensive than other mechanics but i went there anyway, was told by a friend who has the same car as me that they detail her car when it goes in for a service but mine wasn't done, told service guys about issues i was having with my transmission and asked for a service and when i collected the car i found out that paying for a service doesnt mean they figure out the problem but rather tell me what they think it may be and that i would have to book a different type of service and that they cant quote me for it... the customer service was great but i didnt feel i got my money's worth for my service...

Craig, Kym, and Doug were more than helpful. All questions were answered and were shown what we wanted to look at. My goal was to find a suv newer than 2018 and I was treated to a 2020 suv. Was treated like a customer with respect unlike other car lots. The finance option was a breeze and we got to drive home in our newer vehicle the day after all the paperwork was filled in. Also the service part is excellent too at keeping vehicles maintained. Thank you to Ruby who offered the ceramic tint too and organised to have it done. Would highly recommended and urge to stay clear of CMI Christies Beach service department. Complete rip off!! How can you charge double for parts when it’s got your name on it!. Same old story, same problems keep coming back, told misleading information, overcharging for parts and labour, staff are rude, list goes on. Fair enough I kept going back but for piece of mind using genuine parts and hoping a Toyota mechanic would know and be able to fix a Toyota vehicle, but won’t go back!. I feel bad for others who get roped into their scam.

Both went above and beyond to help me complete my dream of owning my first newer high performance car a GR Yaris Rallye. Have to say I am very disappointed that a Toyota dealership couldn't diagnose a problem in a Toyota... we paid the diagnosis fee, they gave us a laundry list of issues. Spent a lot trying to fix the issue, and yet the issue remained. Gave up and took it for a wheel alignment at a local business, they located the issue (a loose nut) and resolved it straight away. We felt Toyota was just money grabbing, trying to up-sell things we didn't need. Would be 1 star but the customer service people were polite so Ive given them 2 for that.

Had a bad experience with a very pushy salesman. Took a car for a test drive, went inside to drop the keys off and was taken aside to get personal details, which we thought was for a quote. The salesman then presented a contract of purchase and was told to sign without indicating what the contract was - at no point had sale/purchase of the car been discussed. When we made it clear we weren't ready to buy and were just looking at options the salesman became quite pushy and grumpy, no apology was made by him for miscommunicating.

very bad experience with this dealer! aggressive sales person, and very bad mannered sales manager! they even quoted metallic paint charge for a second hand vehicle as a new one (demo car, shown as second hand on the sales document), i reckon this should only be charges for a brand new vehicle bought the car at last but will never come back again to this dealer, what i felt is they only want to get the deal done but don't care about customers, so will not recommend to friends or anyone neither for their bad service & patience

I rang this dealer to enquire about the grade of oil that would be used in my rav4 hybrid the answer was 5W 30 . I refered them to the car manual which stated that 0W 16 should be used, as a compromise I agreed that 0W 20 will be acceptable. On receiving the invoice it stated that 5W 30 was used. On asking them to explain they said that the invoice is fixed with this information and it would be difficult to change and that 0W 20 was actually used. Really??? I am not CMI ling.....I will not be using them again.

Purchased a pre-owned Hilux from CMI. The team at Christies Beach and especially Beau were great to deal with. Speedy communication from their side, and answered all my novice questions. All issues were sorted quickly and easily. The Hilux has been back for its complementary 1 month inspection with no issues, and all outstanding work was completed (parts on order at the time of purchase). I can recommend asking for Beau to sort you out with a pre-owned purchase.

I have had my car serviced from CMI Toyota Christies Beach site. Very disappointed service and they reset the stereo settings(new car) and my car reverse camera grid lines has been changed and It doesn’t give proper guidelines when need a reverse parking and also I asked for my car engine wash but they haven’t done proper wash. When they return the car, there were greasy finger marks on the display and steering wheel. not recommended their service for anyone.

I've been here 3 times the first time was to ask what viscosity of oil they recommend for my hilux's gearbox and no one in the service department had any clue HELLO you are a toyota dealership!! The other two times have been when I have been looking at upgrading. The staff just look at me and then pretend that I'm not there and go about there conversations with each other. I'll take my $50,000 somewhere else! How about employing some courteous staff Enzo!

Great experience Beau assisted by driving the car to me for a test drive during working hours as I was too far from the yard...and then arranged to be available on the day I bought the car. Main reason being went to cmi and told the salesman that approached us that I was looking at buying a dual cab ute. I was told. I'm sorry we don't have any used dual cabs available. I tried to book my car in for a service today. The service staff were too busy and I was either ringing or on hold for several minutes. Then I called back and they said they'd ring back. Never did. Hope they get in touch. It shouldn't be this hard given the amount of letters they've sent in such a short time to remind me. Otherwise I've had no complaints in the past.

The service department don't follow all the checks on the warranty and service record booklet supplied with the car from new, even though they are they dealership for that model. When asked why, the service manager said that not all the checks in your cars service booklet are applicable to your car. Sounds like balony to me.

their policy for the service centre? legally dishonest. If a woman drop off the car for normal service, they will call and tell them their car is noisy or some similar bs then ask if it's ok to inspect further ($200 extra of course). DONT DO IT. Obviously there's nothing wrong with your car. Get it service elsewhere!!

Possibly the worst service I have ever received. Salesperson was full of lies and follow up service from workshop was almost impossible to arrange. All warranty work done has since recurred so it was all for nothing anyway. Spend your money somewhere that it will be appreciated.

Very appreciative of the service provided today. I was taken home while my car was being fixed, then picked up again once it was done. I think it’s great to have this option as being a mum to little kids makes these situations tricky at times. Friendly service too
