First time going to a Cobs Bread and it was fantastic. The team is great and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. From the moment you walk in, the warm scent of fresh bread and pastries hits you. The display is vast. Everything is well-presented and clean with shelves upon shelves of fresh loaves of bread, danishes, cinnamon buns, scones and more. The variety is truly impressive with everything from sweet to savoury. The owner and her staff of bakers are equally as impressive as they greet you with a warm smile and an in-depth knowledge of the products. The ingredients are simple and everything is handmade each day. I had some chocolate raspberry and blueberry danishes - fantastic. I can't wait to try some new things like the Cape Seed bread. I will be making this a regular stop!

We used to love cobs bakery but there has been a steady decline in quality and a very high turnover in staff since Sasha left. The cheese pull apart bread has turned into a reg loaf with some cheese on the outside. Certainly not worth the $. There have been holes in the bottom of many different loaves that are sometimes quite deep and only find this out once we get home. The last veggie pizza we bought wasnt cooked in the middle and the bag of buns we purchased had one that was squished flat. The final recent visit consisted of rock music playing so loudly you couldnt converse with staff wearing the required mask and the staff member was surly. All in all i would say not worth the drive out there or the money. Very sad since this was one of my favourite stores

Now it's been a couple weeks since I went in here but I just have to say as it's been stuck in my head.. I was very impressed by not only the variety of breads but the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I went in and didn't realise I was a few cents short on my purchase. The cashier told me to not worry as she would buy a couple pastries for me. This act of kindness believe or not can go a long way and it says a lot about how this business is run. I was there a few minutes before close so the fact she wasn't rushing me and helped w my questions made me feel quite good. I will definately be returning for some of the ham and cheese buns, scones and almost all the pastry as they are all to die for. Thanks guys. Def worth it!

Ive been in twice and it is an aweful establishment, food is highly priced and not worth it, especially the croissants and danishes since they are from frozen NOT scrach like they claim. Sasha was a wonderful human being, but Jessica was offputting as was Chris, just stop talking im here to shop not hear you drone on. There was stuff all over the counter and i found HAIR in the twist i bought. 7 dollars for bread and they dont have hair nets? Do not recomend and ill never visit again. Rather give money to an actual local bakery like bread and butter or pan chancho not a disasterous capitalist franchise who calls itself "local". What a joke.

Very Happy with Cobs Bread in Kingston. While part of a chain - the baking is high quality and fresh. Much better then grocery stores and honestly, though it pains me to say it, most of the local independent bakeries. The staff are super friendly and pleasant and honestly seem to be enjoying themselves at work. My Grandmother used to say - if you bake when you are happy - it tastes better every time. Maybe some of that mantra has transferred over to Cob's Kingston location. Cob's is my current "go to" bakery in Kingston and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Wow! First time going to COBS bread today - after having wanting to go for quite some time. The smell was amazing and everything looked delicious. One thing that made our experience extra special was one of the workers, I believe his name was Daniel? Possibly, I could also be completely wrong and I'm so sorry if I am. He was so kind and welcoming and we will definitely be back again. We purchased a loaf of bread and a danish to share and we split it in the parking lot right after purchasing and it was delightful. We hope he sees this review! Thank you!!

The store is clean and neat and the staff was very polite and service was quick and courteous however I was very disappointed with the bake goods I got. I got mini cinnamon buns and a loaf of white bread. The bread itself was good but the crust was extremely rubbery and hard to chew. My jaw was getting sore from trying to chew it so I had to cut all the crust off. I was also disappointed in the cinnamon buns. I have had much better buns elsewhere so I did not feel it was good baked goods for the cost. I will not be returning. Thank you

I visited Cob's Bread Bakery for the first time today and although I was there for a short while, one of the employees went above and beyond for me :) They gave me a good run down of the store, let me know about their different selection of bread and other baked goods, and, provided me a discount for the bread I bought, since it was my first visit. Top quality bakery, the store was clean and the atmosphere felt amazing. Planning my next visit and definitely recommending it to some of my friends and family! Cheers

I just have to give shout out to the best girl who served me today! I didn't catch her name but she was heading for lunch today shortly after 1pm, she said in 5 mins I'm going just from chatting with her she said my 2 scones were on her today. Now she didn't know this but it was a welcoming surprise after the morning I had. Having to get my car towed to the dealership for a coolant issue, this small gesture surely made my day. Thank you to whomever you were you made my day a whole lot better

Wow! We're from Niagara falls and we're camping in Kingston this weekend. We went into town to buy some groceries and drive by here. We just heard on our local radio about Cobs bread coming to st Catharines so we decided to try it. The girl we dealt with was so sweet! Told us all about the company and it's community efforts and that also made us feel good about supporting them. Thank you so much for being so awesome and the scone was amazing!!!! ♥️ Highly recommend this location!!!

Went in for the first time after stumbling upon it on Google. I just wanted to look, absorb what I was seeing for the first time and I really wanted a chocolate croissant. I made this clear when I first entered the store and was greated by way too many smiling faces behind the counter. I said it was my first time and needed a minute or two. On came the barrage of offers, samples, suggestions and assumptions they knew what I wanted. It was too much, I had to leave.

COBS is one of only a few regular stops for me since I moved out of Kingston. When I make a trip into "town" I go into COBS and get a sliced Higher Fibre Mini Loaf. I am also a member of the COBS Club, their rewards program. All you need is a "smart" phone and the COBS app and you are ready to be rewarded for buying the best breads, savouries, and pastries in Kingston. Plus, you get a free treat on your birthday AND HALF-BIRTHDAY. Who knew it was even a thing?

I’ll say that the food is pretty good. I try to stay away from the carbs but after trying the bread and pastries here, they are pretty solid. The line up can be long outside the shop since only 3 are allowed inside at a time. Prices are fine I think? I don’t go to many places like this but I suppose it’s fancy freshly made bread so the price difference is understandable. I really liked their Scones, they had a few different flavours for those.

Excellent experience with customer service and the variety of breads . Laura and others at this location are amazingly patient to explain and provide what you are looking for. Loved the cinnamon bun 6 pack, custard raspberry Danish and the flat bread with salt and pepper. Keep up the good work team. Loved the fact that the bread is baked fresh daily and what cannot be sold for the day is given to local charity. parking available.

Tonight was my first time being to cobs and it was exceptional. I have a severe egg allergy and the three staff working were so amazing. They were able to check to make sure purchases did not contain egg and double checked to ensure that eggs were not on the "may contain list." They even gave me some free items to try. This has become our go-to bakery in town because it's the only one (that I'm aware of) that is a nut free kitchen. Our daughter has some nut allergies and it's comforting to know that we can shop here and not be worried. When I asked about that I was told that they chose to be nut free because it also allows them to donate food, which is pretty cool too. Great variety of goods and very reasonable prices.

Today was my first time trying cobs, and I wasn’t sure what kind of bread and baked goods they had. The lady at the front was so helpful and kind, helped me pick out the sourdough flaxseed load and gave a free sample since I wasn’t even sure if that’s what I would like. The staff are all super nice, it looks very clean and organized inside and the bread was delicious! I really recommend this bakery:)

This was our first visit to this fabulous bakery and will not be our last. The service was second to none. J.J made sure we got exactly what we needed and gave us many samples to help us make our choices. We chose white bread rolls and a few danish this time but after tasting the sunflower sour dough bread sample, that’s on my list for next time as well as some hot cross buns.

Huge variety of breads / buns and sweets. We stocked up on a number of different breads, cinnamon rolls and more. All were very good. We asked about one particular bread and the staff member gave us a sample and next thing you know we added that loaf to the purchase as well. Staff were friendly. Its not a cheap place, but the quality is high making it a good value.

This place has it all: friendly, helpful staff, excellent products at reasonable prices and they donate unsold products to feed the poor. I’ve been shopping Cob, here in Kingston and previously on the Danforth in Toronto for the better part of 10 years and I’ve never had a bad experience, even at the height of the COVID pandemic. It’s well-staffed and we’ll-run.

We bought several items. Blueberry and lemon scones were not cooked. Ham and cheese croissant were excellent. Ham and cheese bread was pretty good. Apple cinnamon hot cross buns were a little under done. Service was excellent. Have purchased several items previously and generally products are very fresh and great. Will still recommend and will go back.

A good selection of breads. Nice counter arrangement. I have friends that love this place. However, while we tried to give them a fair trial and have had some decent purchases with the bread, their sweets all taste the same - like bread and not what you would expect them to be. Not a true bakery when looking for a real treat. We will go elsewhere.

We purchased three savory spinach , feta croissants, one loaf of high fibre bread and three sweet buns. The croissants had very little filling of the feta and the spinach - very disappointing! We were also disappointed with the supposed high fibre bread it appeared to us as a simple white bread. The sweet rolls were as expected.

Just picked up the scones today after several months without. The taste is still great and they are a great favourite with our family. Unfortunately the Company has reduced the size almost in half yet the price remains the same. We were disappointed with the value received for the price. We will continue to buy but not as often.

I actually just had the most amazing experience! it was my first time and the staff were so amazing and friendly. Laura and Nicholas literally made me laugh so hard!!! AND THEY ALSO GAVE MY FRIEND AND I OUR COBBS FOR FREE. It was so kind I literally almost cried. AND THE GOODS WE GOT WERE AMAZING!!!!!! 11/10 would recommend.

This is the best location I've ever gone to. The products are consistently fresh and delicious! If I could give 10 star review with regards to the staff, I would. The minute you walk in the door you'll want to buy two of everything they have! They have a little sample dish on the counter. It smells so wonderful in there!! So many choices. The staff great you with a smile, so friendly. I have not been disappointed yet with anything I've purchased. A must go to for baked goods!

Went to Cobs today and had the nicest young person named Olive serve me! Didn't rush me and even complicated me on by boots and then proceeded to tell me my order was free. Stopped into Cobs Bakery for the first time yesterday .. Best croissant I've ever had ,,, ever..!!! Staff was amazing.. very informative on what they had in the bakery.. And knowing they donate leftovers at end of day, makes me love this bakery more.. i will be a returning customer for sure.

Had Shiloh and Olive helping my mom and I while we were in store. The experience they gave is unmatched - so friendly and helpful. We went in for one item and felt like we went home with one of everything. We will be making the trip from the valley again soon just to come and see the staff.

I was in today to get the garlic and herb hamburger buns but they were alreay sold out. So I got some regular hamburger buns and they didn't disappoint. They were so soft and flavorful with our homemade turkey and hamburgers. I think I need to stop buying grocery store burger buns now!

I absolutely adore this place ! I only recently started coming to Cobbs for lunch items a bit ago and I have had nothing but positive experiences ! The staff are absolutely amazing and when I haven’t liked a item, they’ve treated me to a item as a apology. 1000/10 recommend :)

They oversell their products. They over brag their products. They need to put their ego's and emotions in check, because they come across as a bunch of smart alicks. Their bakery products are overpriced for what you get. Nobody likes high pressure sales.

This is a great little store that makes all kinds of delicious products. The scones are moist and flavorful, the breads are almost true to the countries they supposedly represent. And other products I've tried are also very good. Keep it up Cobb's.

I had the most amazing thing happen today at Cobs. I went in for a couple of mincemeat tarts for my hubby and she gave them to me and said everyone deserves a treat. I almost cried it was so nice. And he LOVED the tarts and said they were awesome.

Couldn't wait to try the Hot Cross buns, but they were very small and basically tasted like plain old raisin bread. No fruit, though lots of raisins if you like them. Not much flavour and too pricey, for what you get, for half dozen @ $7.

I have always went here for cinnamon buns.They were quite large and so soft and delicious. Today I purchased a box of 6 and I was very disappointed. They were very thin, hard and just not what I usually get.Not sure if i will try again.
