We had to have our onsite caterer re-ice our wedding cake. Starting with the positives, our cake, and everything we tasted from warrior cakes was very good. They also include a free gift of 10 macaroons with our cake pick-up. Where warrior cakes fell flat was in their communication. My husband and I wanted a small six inch, single tier cake for our wedding. We requested the cake to be decorated with a pale/sage green watercolour icing and a topper made of flowers that matched our wedding flowers. Our first trouble in working with warrior cake was in communicating the price. The first time I asked for a quote I was provided with the price of all the components of the flowers, cake and decorating separately, it felt misleading and it took several more attempts messaging back and forth and a phone call to eventually get our final quote. Our second major issue was the colour of the cake. For reference of colour we sent pictures of cakes made by both warrior cakes and other bakers of what we wanted. When the cake arrived it was bright green (think the colour of Shrek). We opted to have a friend pick up the cake and deliver it to the venue so didn't have the chance to see the cake until it arrived. When I saw the cake I was pretty upset and initially asked that the cake be removed and not put out. Our onsite caterer came to our rescue and offered to re-ice the cake in plain white. I wish I had a picture of what the cake originally looked like to include in this review but I was so upset I didn't think to take a picture before it was taken away. In summary working with warrior cakes was not a pleasant experience and it really felt like because we were asking for a small (and less expensive product), care and attention to detail was not put into our order.

I'd give 10 stars if it were possible. Becca at Warrior Cakes was incredible to work with every step of the way and to jump to the finish line, her cake is hands down the absolute best you will ever try! I can't stress this point enough. She provides the whole package like no other cake maker in the Kingston and surrounding area. The density/flavours of the cake, the precise aeration & flavour of the butter creams, the sheer magic of how she creates flowers entirely of sugar (which hold up very well I might add, I still have all 3!) .....she is quite simply, a master of her craft and is gracious enough to work extremely hard to share it with every customer who is lucky enough to be able to book her talents. I teach for a local culinary program and am personally quite precise in my expectations, yet was blown away and can recognize a master when I see one. There were absolutely no surprises, issues or the like and her timing was pinpoint accurate at every stage. Becca even took the time to deliver the cake as well as return to cut it up beautifully. Guests raved. If you are still unsure, trust me.....Book this cake legend as soon as you can, and enjoy!! There are those who have experienced Warrior Cakes, and those who have not. It is that simple.

Becca made our wedding cake and I was absolutely blown away. Becca is not only an talented baker, but she is also a caring and wonderful vendor. She helped us invent a new flavour for one of our tier to get exactly what we wanted, and worked closely on picking out the flavour for each tier. She followed the design exactly how I was hoping and went back and forth before the wedding day to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted. She sent me very kind texts and photos on the day of so that I felt happy and confident in the cake, and included delicious macarons on the side which were perfect for our late night snack. The cake was as amazing inside as it was outside. Each tier flavour was incredibly delicious. Becca was easy to work with, very patient, and well organized. She also went above and beyond to make sure that the cake was gluten-free with no cross-contamination, so that I could feel confident on my wedding day, as a person with Celiac Disease. She would be the perfect baker to add to your vendor roster. Our cake was worth every penny!

Yesterday, I had seen Warrior Cakes was having a last minute sale of a hazelnut chocolate brownie salted caramel cake that looked absolutely stunning and delicious. I messaged Becca to see if it was still available (as normally I miss out on them because her stuff sells so quickly) and luck for me it was! She boxed it up right away for me and I was able to pick it up in 10 minutes. This was super convenient as my parents were coming over in a few hours for dinner and I still needed to get them a special dessert for their anniversary, so this was the perfect thing. When I had mentioned to her how stoked I was to get this for my parents’ anniversary, she even added a couple macaroons to make that much more special. Such a nice touch. They just loved it and we all said it was the best brownie cake (and brownie in general) we’ve ever had! I would highly recommend Warrior Cakes for their customer service and superb quality. If you’re looking for a cake option for your next big event look no further, the only recommendation I have for you is Warrior Cakes! I was so lucky they were able to fit me into their busy schedule with shorter notice than usual. Their communication and delivery was above and beyond! As they took care of bringing it to the event while setting it all up too! The entire dessert arrangement was as stunning as it was sweet and so delicious! Everyone enjoyed the variety of options and flavours that were available. We were even lucky enough to be able to bring some home for left overs and with how tasty they were they hardly lasted a day! It’s safe to say they are my absolute favourite bakery in the province! You truly can’t go wrong with Warrior Cakes!

I truly can’t write enough positive things about Warrior Cakes!! Becca has made our family numerous cakes over the last three years and they are always above and beyond how we imagine them. Beautiful and intricately detailed. Hand crafted sugar flowers and succulents that only a true artist could create. We’ve even kept a few as keepsakes from our children’s smash cakes.... it was hard not to cringe when the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen is being smashed to bits by my one year old. They also taste amazing and am proud to admit we ate those smash cakes by the handful. She offers gluten free options which our family really appreciates. Communication with her is swift and pick up is smooth. I highly recommend her! You won’t be disappointed.

We were headed to Wolfe Island for a few days from Kitchener. My daughters 13th birthday was on Sunday and I hadn't planned well so when I messaged Warrior cakes on Thursday to see if they could help me out with a pickup for Saturday afternoon and add in to boot that my youngest child is GF + DF and our friend who was travelling with us was also DF I wasnt hopeful and thought I may have to bake myself. Warrior cakes totally pulled me out of a jam and made the most delicious GF DF cupcakes we have had. I didnt tell anyone that 50% of our order was DF or that 100% of it was GF and not one person questionned what they were eating. The cupcakes were beautiful and helped to make this milestone bday extra special for her.

Matthew and I were married on May 27th, 2023, and had a spring themed wedding. We ordered a two-tier cake, and two macaron towers. The macarons were blueberry and raspberry flavoured, and our cake was almond and vanilla. We also had sugar flowers consisting of a large magnolia, hydrangeas and greenery. Becca did a fantastic job in making our cake display absolutely stunning! Her level of care and craftsmanship she put into all aspects of our order shows just how passionate she is! I would absolutely recommend Becca for any baking needs! She did our wedding cake and cupcakes this past weekend, we were truly blown away by the final product. She went above and beyond during the planning process to get every detail right. On the wedding day, she ended up putting some extra flowers/greenery on the cake, saying she just wanted it to look perfect for our day. The quality of her products is also amazing-we had so many compliments on how it all tasted. We have ordered her cupcake tasting boxes a few times as well too; these have always been delicious. I cannot say enough good things about Becca and she will be our top choice for cakes/cupcakes from now on!

I appreciate their ability to cater to dietary restrictions, special needs, and requests. It was quick, painless, and exactly what I wanted for my partner's birthday. I asked for "simple, but elegant", and got that PLUS more, such as a specially decorated cipcake with a candle for the birthday girl. Each cupcake was unique and interesting and artistic, it was a complete labor of love. I highly recommend this business, especially if you or a loved one has special food accomodations. Them: Just so you know, (unreasonable base price quote given, let’s say more than three times normal rate), but we can add things (insert list of unwanted and unnecessary adornments) and price them out to a total. Optional are optional though. Me: Well what you described is not appealing, so no optional please. Them: That would be basic then. We don’t do basic. Me: Okay, add what you want, but why say it’s optional when it isn’t? Them: Then not to be persnickety(yup, word was used) but we won’t make you a cake.

Becca was a dream from beginning to end. Not only was she able to fit our wedding cake into an already busy season but she took my inspiration photos and achieved something that looked more amazing than we could have imagined. Becca took the time to forage and press fresh flowers for our cake which took more time than I think she probably had. She called to keep me posted on the progress and also sent photos day of our pick up which blew us away. The cake was a show stopper on the biggest day of our lives and every guest commented on how magical and beautiful it was. Thank you Becca for making our dreams come true. You are a true artist.

So many good things to say about Warrior Cakes!!! We have ordered a few things from Becca and everything we’ve tried has brought us back for more. The macarons are by far the freshest, and most delicious I have had. Recently we ordered a custom cake for our son’s first birthday, with the request to use as little refined sugar as possible. She was responsive and prompt throughout the process. The strawberries and cream cake we requested was a big hit - so sweet and tasty, you wouldn’t have known there was little sugar used. I have to actively stop myself from ordering weekly....highly recommend.

Becca did AMAZING work for my wedding and was a saving grace when my caterer cancelled soon before my wedding. She did a delicious vegan cake and gluten free vegan cupcakes. Personalized, artistic and delicious wedding cake Becca is a phenomenal artist and baker. We ordered her vanilla, lavender and lemon cake for our wedding as a gluten-free cake. The decorations were stunning, and her prices were very fair based on the quality of the craftsmanship and taste. The cake was a decorative centre piece of our wedding, and everyone loved it. My husband enjoyed it so much he didn’t want to share leftovers with anyone other than the two of us! I can’t recommend her more highly and look forward to ordering occasion cakes from her again!

Delicious cakes! We ordered our first cake from here in 2020 for our wedding. It was beautiful, delicious, and not over priced. What was most important was that it was able to be gluten free as my wife is intolerant. We’ve also since ordered another cake for a Valentine’s Day. Great spot to get a cake - and their flower decoration abilities are outstanding (we had requested a trillium for our wedding cake and it was beautiful, even though at the time they hadn’t made one before).

Warrior Cakes is an exceptional specialty bakery. Becca and Kimpee created both a feast for our eyes and taste buds at my husband's birthday celebration. The combination of in season raspberries and champagne in our cupcakes were a hit with the children as well as the champagne and cloud-like lemon curd and champagne tiered cake. Everyone was so delighted and so impressed! Delivery, set-up and service at the venue was picture perfect. Highly recommend for anyone's upcoming event.

We booked a sex-reveal cake for our baby and it can't be more perfect. Becca was very accommodating to our timeline and very responsive to our needs. I was blown away with the vegan cupcakes! She had them ready for me same-day and the strawberry grapefruit flavour was incredible. I'm sad I don't have any pics of them because they were also gorgeous - we ate them too quickly to snap a pic! I've eaten a lot of vegan & non-vegan desserts in my life and these were honestly the best cupcakes (vegan or otherwise) I've ever had.
