This review is about the service my family has received while working with Caballero Rivero Woodland North and Caballero Rivero Little Havana throughout the burial process for my father's passing. The service has been extremely unprofessional and has caused great anguish and distress to us all, considering we paid the full amount of money for the services in June. This process has taken months, and no sympathies or apologies have been given by the individuals involved, Gabriel Romanach and Consuelo Anzardo, and matters have only been made worse as time has passed. The company has not updated us throughout this process, leaving us clueless about the burial site completion. We expected the completion to be September fourth and demand a time grace period of when this process will be complete. My mother has now had to receive counseling due to the emotional distress this situation has caused our family. To begin this horrendous process, the company did not place grass over the burial site for several weeks, leaving only rubble over my father's grave; the grass later placed was dried out and dead. Also, the company was then going to put an orange monument onto the site when my mother originally paid a notable amount of money for a red one. Only after many disputes were we then able to obtain the monument we originally paid. We also ordered two vases (8x10) to identify my father’s grave, but the company incorrectly measured the monument size, and the original vases did not fit on the monument. We were then again disappointed to hear that the company planned to switch out the vases my family originally paid for for a smaller size, and have now consistently gone back and forth with different sizing of these vases, none of which have been the original size we paid a significant amount of money. This situation is unprofessional, and the company should have done a much better internal job when sizing the monument, as this issue has only caused unwanted stress for my family. Additionally, the pieta has not arrived after being scheduled to arrive on September 4. Last night, we were informed that the order was again placed incorrectly. There is now no timeline as to when the pieta will arrive. This circumstance has become an injustice and disservice to my family, especially to my mother who has dealt with this situation daily. Once again, no apologies have been given, and we have been let down time and time again. For this reason, I would not recommend this cemetery to anyone, unless you want the grieving process to be that much harder on your family.

We had chosen this place as my dad bought a spot for him n my mother. When I went back funeral home wanted to charge me again for his spot they had change their terms. Thank God I had all the original papers and the cemetary honored our contract. But that was after I contact the cemetary directly as funeral home wanted an additional $10,000. Yet dealing with the funeral home was dealing with a car dealer. All I can say is that in the worst time in your life you don’t need anyone making you feel bad over any decisions you are making. They are pure sales people trying to upswell you from flowers to urns etc. Make your plans early so you can shop around and not be talked into what you really do not need. Our sales person Elizabeth never had time to return calls, you would have to chase her down didn’t know all the rules such as flowers could go straight to cemetary as there was no viewing n no need for a casket spray of flowers as there was no casket but an urn that the first one didn’t fit as no knowledge of space allowed. Then when I had to do changes was rudely told if that would be my last change but mind you my changes were due to their lack of information to me. Every time I received a call was another bill which was not on the original contract. They give you only part of information then call back to add more cost such as death certificates, opening of space etc. My next experience I will shop around and will not allow anyone to make me feel that I have to accept their terms.

Had the worst experience with the funeral director Jimelle Finklea. She is unprofessional and has no communication skills. She took the information via phone for death certificates and once received my grandmother and my name where spelled incorrectly. The certificates cost me money. Then she mis communicated about the price on the contract. After I paid it she tried to charge an additional $355 more for refrigeration. I paid the full contract price and the $175 mail delivery fee and still have not received the cremations. He was cremated on 2/1/2022. I called today and they told me I have a remaining balance. How can they legally do this? I paid the full amount on the contract $2021. I also sent her my family member obituary. She never emailed me letting me know it was live on the their website. I found out a few weeks ago doing a search. Months later after he had passed. This is already a difficult event for our family. It saddens me that companies like this take advantage of people for financial gain. We will see how long it takes for my family to get the cremations. I am so disappointed. Update! We received the cremation remains on March 10th finally. And the additional $355 balance was removed. Thank you for everything Anna Marie Martinez.

My coordinator Vaneeva and her team were extremely kind, helpful and compassionate! She guided me through the whole process to make my father’s arrangements special and unique for me and my family. My father’s passing was extremely sudden, I’m only in my 20s, and as next of kin, to make all these big decisions Vaneeva’s professionalism, knowledge, patience and communication really meant a lot to me and made the process a whole lot less overwhelming and heartbreaking. The level of professionalism from Vaneeva and her team was excellent they kept me well informed and always reached out to me with updates. I learned a lot as she educated me about the funeral process and how you can make arrangements in advance for you or your loved ones, I never felt like I was kept in the dark or ignorant to anything going on. My father looked amazing, they handled him with great care and that brought a lot of comfort to my family and I. They handle literally everything from transportation, room, casket, cremation, flowers, catering, video tribute, prayer cards, signature book, thank you cards, etc., which I greatly appreciated making everything less overwhelming and I didn’t feel alone. I can’t thank Vaneeva and her team enough for what they have done!

On July 2, 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, my beloved mother passed away from natural causes at the age of 98. My mother, like my father, coordinated all funeral arrangement wishes before passing. Lynn, who has helped us with funeral planning for over 10 years, was once again the person who helped us--this time, during the 4th of July weekend. We requested a viewing on Friday, with the entombment on Saturday, July 4, 2020. Lynn made it happen. Together with all of her wonderful staff, my mother's funeral arrangements were exactly what we requested. They were carried out with attention to detail, compassion, and great customer service. Lynn, as always, is a passionate, professional, and extremely knowledgeable person, who is dedicated to her profession. Her goal is to make families, like ours, make the right decisions based on personal wishes. Because of her admirable efforts, we were left with the peace in our hearts that my mother's farewell was exactly as she envisioned and deserved. It is comforting to know that we can always reach out to Lynn and the staff at Caballero Rivero Funeral Home in Little Havana during our most difficult times. On behalf of the family of Elsa M. July 11, 2020 was the worst day of my life. My dad passed. Even though I am an employee at CRLH, I cannot praise the ENTIRE team lead by Debbie McCartney and Lynn Giraud for the love, support and utmost professionalism that was shown to me. Even though I am a Funeral Director Intern and wanted to do it all for dad, the team took care of it all and I only had to worry about consoling my mother. I go to work daily knowing that I am a part of something special and a place that REALLY cares about loved ones that have passed, but mostly the ones who are left behind to pick up the pieces. We just lost a mother in our family known as Katty Casamayor. A mother to Jose & Jesus Castillo, a grandmother to her only grandson, Christian and a mother to a very large mixed community. The one human being that would lift us all up when the world would reject most of us. Today, we had the privilege to meet with Elizabeth Callava at Caballero Rivero. To make a long story short, she made such a difference. She was truly thorough, informative and utmost compassionate. Her professionalism was on point but her attitude and personality made the entire process so much easier to handle. It takes a professional to do their job but, it takes a true human being to embrace a situation and ease the pain in our heart as Elizabeth did. Thank you, Elizabeth for being as humble, as simple and as genuine as you are.

My experience with Caballero Rivero Little Havana has been terrible. In 2001 my family made pre-planned funeral arrangements to ease the burden on me when the time came. Recently, I had one such relative pass away and when I reached out to the funeral home, they could not find the paperwork/contract. They kept telling me to call other funeral homes in Miami because they did not have my relatives contract there. I live in another city and this bouncing back and forth made matters worth. I spent over 4 hours arguing and trying to resolve this issue with them. Finally, in the evening I get a call from them, excusing themselves and asking for pardon for misplacing the paperwork. From the stress and aggravation they put me through, I became physically ill. So, I have nothing good to say about them.

We really appreciate the genuineness, and comfort that Elizabeth gave us. She was extremely helpful throughout this difficult process, and I must say the professionalism and organizational skills that she demonstrated to me and my family was very reassuring. She presented to us all of the options and packages that were available in a way that didn't make us feel like it was about money, she really expressed to us that she had our best interest in mind, and to me that was very important. I am very happy that Elizabeth was there for us from start to finish. She really went the extra mile, and I am truly grateful. Most of my loved ones made Caballero Rivero there last stop by choice, and that says a lot about the staff and services. Thank you all very much, Miguel Peña.

I would like to says Thank you so much for helping us through the so painful process during whole funeral services. Ileana Morel and Bryan Zamora walked us through each part with such compassion and care. Also showing absolutely empathy with our religion. Each member of my family appreciate the kindness you showed our family at this difficult time. Mr, Orlando Lanzas, our driver was so compassionate and went above and beyond to make sure my family and I felt as comfortable and taken care for as possible in these kinds of situation. He has a kind heart for which we are very thankful for. Hopefully, we will not need your services anytime soon, but if we do, I know we will be in good hands. My mother has bought various packages and their database could not find them, it was a horrible experience for a mother that had just lost her daughter, and to think her daughter will not be able to have the funeral service she deserved due to the lack of updated information their system provided. Database needs to be improved. As if that was not enough, we provided a picture of my sister so that the artist can make her look as close as possible as who she was, her face was not even near her real self, the work was awful, and had a lot to be desired. Quality control should be imposed prior to placing the loved one’s body in the room for funeral service. The funeral director was very nice, but the damage had already been done and it was not turning back.

Our family is deeply grateful for the caring, respectful and exceptional service from Karyna Duarte and the staff of Caballero Rivero funeral home during such a difficult and sad time. Karyna especially was so compassionate. We will forever remember her kind gesture of providing us with beautiful additional cards with La Pieta since she knew they had special meaning. The flowers, the presentation, the selection of clergy, the accommodating of date and time because a family member had a scheduled surgery and the way, when we left, the entire staff lined up to thank us. My family recently suffered the loss of my sister. We held the services for her funeral at Caballero River Little Havana. Beatriz Martin was the director helping us to make all the arrangements and handling all the funeral services. Beatriz treated us like family and helped us navigate all the decisions smoothly. She answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns with patience and care. She ensured that everything on the day of the service was handled to perfection. She was kind, compassionate, and caring, and took care of all the details so efficiently, we made the necessary arrangements quickly and effortlessly. She deserves 10 stars. The rest of the staff was also very professional and helpful too, and the funeral was conducted exactly the way my mother wanted it. I can't thank Caballero Rivero enough for a flawless experience. The staff were very helpful and kind. My father had purchased his cremation years prior so they helped guide me through his wishes. They did not try to sell me any additional services and were respectful of my father's wishes and mine. They took care of all the arrangements and transportation quickly and efficiently. Since I was unfortunately having to leave not long after my father's passing, they ensured I was informed of every step. I received his certificates and remains within 2 weeks so I could finalize all business. I appreciated their professionalism and empathy all through the time I worked with them.

We celebrated my mother’s life with the help of this amazing , extraordinary group of people that made this experience very special. It is a difficult time for the whole family but Lynn alongside her staff Alexis, Navina, Luis just to name a few out of this dream team were incredibly supportive, understanding, helpful and above all took amazing care of my angel while in their care. I never thought that I would never see my Alex again, but thanks to the quick actions by Caballero Rivero I was able to see the love of my life one last time. From the transfer from Vegas, to the arrangement and especially the service. Everything went off without a hitch. My family and I had never had to go through such an experience, but thanks to Beatriz Martin everything was flawless. Very very satisfied with they’re service!! And very attentive . Our person that assisted us with the arrangements I believe her name is Beatriz , funeral director was very educated on everything and was huge help on offering many things to be able to make my grandmothers wishes . Celeste was also there the day of the actual funeral in the evening and was extremely helpful, kind and generous. She is one of a kind person and definitely makes the place be very welcoming and warm . I will definitely recommend caballero Rivero little havana .

Disappointed on how this place handled my mother’s cremation. The communication is very difficult: It is literally like pulling teeth, you have to request things over, and Over, and they do not comply with your requests, instead do what they consider needs to be done. After many times, both via email and in telephone contains requesting a change in the contact, they ended up doing what they proposed at the beginning. No, i would not recommend this people to handle my passing, no need to leave my children with the aggravation.

I like to Thank everyone at Callallero Rivero for everything that was done for my Father’s services. Everything was done in the most Upstanding ,Professional ,Courteous way possible to see that my family wishes were taken care of in these trying times. Our family 5-crypts have been in place at Woodlawn North since the 1950's but now we have added a sixth one upon the death of our daughter, Janice Mills Thomson. At this sorrowful time, Caballero Rivero family service counselor, Consuuelo Anzardo, has been so helpful, sympathetic and uplifting. She has paved the way for my wife and me--and all the family, to ease our grief through her guidance and understanding. She is such a caring person, and so genuine. I can’t find enough words to express the way my family felt with all the care and compassion that was given to them. We were all so amazed and extremely pleased with the way my uncle was prepared! I cannot express how happy I am with the way that staff at Caballero Rivero Little Havana handled my needs. I was lucky enough to have Consuelo Anzardo attend to my friends funeral needs. She is a true professional and a very caring person. She made a very emotional situation into a soothing celebration of life. The loss of someone you love is so difficult and the decisions and preparations after that loss will be emotionally draining. But after meeting Beatriz Martin, we were able to focus on healing our hearts and relive the memories of my wife in a very special way. The entire staff led by funeral director, Deborah McCartney, showed us so much kindness at such a difficult moment. Dealing with my mom funeral on Caballero Rivero on Little Havana was a nightmare due to Elizabeth give me a appointment @ .1.30 pm and she keep me waiting until 3.45 pm and then she doesn't came prepare, it was very unprofessional, i don't recommend that funeral home to anybody. if is not because my mom bought her funeral from them i will choose other funeral home.

Thanks to Elizabeth Cavalla our experience with Caballero-Rivero was exceptional. Her professionalism made our memorial service less painful, pleasant and gratifying. We had an overwhelming positive experience. Everyone was very kind and supportive. Everything was exactly how my mom wanted which left us very much at peace with the memorial service and burial. We were extremely happy with our coordinator Beatris. She was incredibly kind and organized, we were grateful to have her there with us during such a difficult time.

I highly recommend caballero they seam to have lots of experience in dealing with funeral services. My experience here went smooth and quickly as they have everything you would need in a laptop presentation. Along with competitive pricing. My sales rep Joe Jimenez made sure all my questions were and doubts were answered and helped along with my decisions.

When we went to gather information, we were greeted and waited in a room for a lady named Krystal. Krystal was amazing and very professional and made everything very smooth and was very sincere.
