I had a pretty bad experience with this moving company. Understandably a company can have good and bad days. But the part that was most horrible about my experience with Careful Movers, is that after I had my experience, I called, texted and emailed the owner Tony more than a half a dozen times, and he completely ghosted me thereafter. List of issues with my move: 1) I was scheduled for 12:30 PM and I texted Tony the morning of my move to confirm, which he did, yet the movers did not show up until nearly 3 PM. This was a particular inconvenience to me as I was selling my sofa and loveseat, and had planned on the movers helping bring them to street level. Well needless to say that didn't happen and the buyers moved them themselves. In and of itself this wouldn't have been the end of the world, but read on.... 2) One of the movers brought his elementary school aged boy on the job. For some of the time the boy sat to the side playing games on his phone, but for the much of the time he was running up and down the stairs on the heals of myself and the other 2 men, constantly asking for attention from his dad for various things, losing his skateboard under cars, and other times carrying a small object or two down the stairs, which was not particularly helpful, and probably not legal for him to be working.... 3) I could see or smell one of the men smoking at least three or 4 times throughout the move which was fairly unprofessional and certainly unproductive 4) At one point one of the men took a 15 minute or more restroom break, which, hey when nature calls right.... but not ideal when you are paying $90 an hour for two men and one is MIA for a while 5) The movers slowly moved all the small boxes prior to moving any of the large furniture, which led to a lot of rearranging in the truck, and by the time I realized I really needed to start moving things on my own to get things moving, there wasn't much I could bring down myself. Meanwhile the two men took their time rearranging the truck rather than moving the big furniture items. Overall the above led to inefficiency and at least a couple of hours of unproductive time. I moved the same items from a 2 story house 35 miles away to the same 3rd floor apartment with another moving company and 2 men in 3 or 4 hours. By comparison this move was only 2 miles down the road, and they didn't even have couches to move, so I expected the move to again be between 3 and 4 hours. However, after 5.5 hours I was frustrated with the inefficiency and was seeing the dollar signs add up, so I simply told the movers to drop the rest of the boxes in the first floor front bedroom rather than taking them anywhere else. To top it all off, the movers caused significant scrapes in the ceiling at the 1st level of the new house as they were moving objects in and left some significant large scratches in wood floor on 3rd floor landing. On top of that they even charged me a material charge that was not mentioned at the time of my quote. But the worst part of it all was the fact that, after all that, I texted called and emailed the owner on several occasions explaining the situation and asking for a partial refund to make it right, and instead he completely ignored me. Bottom line, don't be fooled by their low hourly rate. You'll end up paying more in the end anyway, and if you have any issues, the owner will straight up ignore you until you go away.

We hired My Careful Movers upon the recommendation of The Millennium High Street Loft apts where my daughter was moving. Not only did they come highly recommended to us but everything they said about this company was true. It was the greatest decision we ever made! Tony, the owner, worked with me one-on-one from the first phone call through every issue. We we’re scheduled to move the following day but had a family emergency and had to cancel last minute. We rescheduled with him two more times and again had to cancel both times last minute due to the family illness. Tony was very kind and understanding about it, didn’t act put out or make us feel guilty. Even called to check on how things were going with our family member. When we were FINALLY ready to move three weeks later it was a last-minute call AND at Christmas time but Tony immediately rearranged schedules to accommodated us for the following morning! His crew arrived on time to load everything from the storage unit (including her piano) onto the truck and did so correctly and professionally. Upon arrival at The Millennium, they first inspected her unit, elevators, hallway turns and spacial needs to her second floor unit plus made decisions where things would go before they came upstairs with the first load. We have had horrible experiences with movers in the past that required literally staying on top of them with every load; it wasn’t necessary with this company. They are very professional and took great caution with every load ...no rushing. Everything was very methodical. Boxes were placed where they should go for unpacking and furniture was placed exactly where she wanted it. These men did an amazing job. It was just my daughter and myself so we had a lot on our hands but all went so smoothly. I totally recommend My Careful Movers, most absolutely!! Tony is professional, personable, and polite. Nothing was damaged and everything arrived perfectly. Great company! Their name defines them perfectly; they are, Very Careful Movers! ❤️

I had a pretty bad experience with this moving company. I scheduled Careful Movers of Houston to show up between 9 AM and they didn’t show until after 11 AM. Keep in mind, I was their first customer of the day (based on the mover’s comments). Not the end of the world, but read on... They cracked one of the wooden legs on my new dresser and put multiple gashes in the ceiling on the 1st level of the new house. Although one of the movers admitted the damage to the dresser (just forgot to let me know at the time of moving), I proceeded to contact Tony (the owner), since the website says they are insured. He ghosted my calls/texts/emails for 48 hours after receiving my payment. He didn’t even have the professional courtesy to call me back, but after 2 days of reaching out, he finally texted back “move at the owner’s discretion”. Now, accidents happen, but if you damage someone’s property, I only ask that you make things right. A heads up would have been suffice, but after the unprofessionalism, I thought it’s justified to ask for a partial refund. Especially after I gave his movers - 2 couches, 2 coffee tables, rug, queen mattress, and a tip for only working two hours (which they charge a minimum of 4). I know the dresser was NOT cracked before the move because it was assembled in that exact location and it’s never been moved until “Careful Movers” moved it. Tony was obviously not going to make the situation right so I simply asked for the insurance company they are “supposedly” insured by. He refused to give me the number of the insurance company and responded with “nah I’m good” which is the last I heard from him. FYI, the bottom line rate does not include the initial deposit and they will conveniently charge you for a service they did not quote. I do not recommend using this company!

I’ve never had a bad moving experience till now. 1. He showed up late. He never called to say they were going to be late. I called at 5:15pm and 5:30pm. Then, at 5:45pm, owner states that the truck broke down and they were trying to get a rental. They did and showed up at 6:30pm and with limited time to move my stuff to a storage that closes at 9pm. 2. Due to the timing, me and my son helped move stuff to make it easier for them. We also have to pack stuff in my suv.I had just had to procedures at the hospital and was no condition to be moving at all. Yet, I tried to be understanding. 3. Initially, he told me it would be a 3hr minimum and $50 deposit. When they finished, he said it was a 3.5hr minimum. I think I would remember what was agreed to in the beginning when I was comparing prices with other movers. 4. Despite my experience, the staff was nice and hardworking. I still gave them each a tip, about 4-5guys. Things happens and to me that’s the right thing to do even though I wasn’t happy with the extra charge. 5. He has parts to my bed that he refuses to meet me to give me. I gave them him the address to mail and he hasn’t. He won’t respond or take my calls. His latest text said he was in the HOSPITAL and has COVID. I hope he’s not out moving people if he is sick. Now, I can’t assemble my bed and this bad moving experience won’t end. He could do the right thing and he won’t. I’m willing to travel to him and he thinks that one time he texts randomly I’m here, come now, is his effort to meet me. I just want my bed parts.

As a business traveling professional I’ve used My Careful Movers for several years. They will be the only moving company that I will continue to use in the future. Tony and his team of movers specifically Brian and Aaron were the best and they’ve stayed true to their companies name as they definitely are very careful with your belongings while moving. Smooth delivery and they’ve helped me place the items where I needed them and have also been kind enough to help me with small additional tasks such as helping me assemble my bed frame. I feel extremely lucky to have found this moving company and they’ll definitely have a loyal customer in me. They’re a local business and I absolutely recommend their services!!! I don’t have any photos to share unfortunately but I’ll update this review on my next move!! See you guys in 2025!

Aaron and Trey worked carefully and hard. They helped me tremendously and I am grateful. I gave a four star because I asked for a three man crew and I was not told only two were coming. I would recommend wrapping cords with the technology it goes with for ease of set up. Overall, I recommend Aaron and Trey. * I am editing to my review. As I have completely unpacked now, I am missing an Xbox controller. Not a huge deal...but missing none the less. I emailed the owner, Tony. It’s been a few days and no response. The movers offered to replace it but to me that’s what insurance is for. They should not have to. Tony was quick to respond before our move...why now did I get no response?*

well let’s start off first with they took four hours just to take a two bedroom apartment downstairs. And I definitely feel like they did it because they seen that I was a woman and I was alone. . Then they try to bamboozle me into buying more time because like I said they seen that I was alone and couldn’t move the stuff upstairs by myself. So in result my stuff has been sitting in the garage. Now I’m moving it upstairs and They Broke my furniture. And is completely denying that they broke it DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

The movers were great! I had ALOT of things and the guys (Aaron and I forgot the other guys name sorry!) did a great job fitting everything in the truck and making it pretty much within the time frame we initially agreed on. There was a discrepency in the amount charged but Tony answered me immediately when I asked him about it and he was quick to correct it. We’re all human and make mistakes-what matters is how it’s corrected. Highly recommend this company!

Every one of these guys are great to work with and a pleasure to be around during the move. Will be hiring them again in the future. We were not prepared for our move and they worked with us on scheduling and went above and beyond to help us with stuff that wasn’t even ready to be moved. I dropped all of our dishes down a flight of stairs and they shrugged it off and helped me clean up the mess. Couldn’t be more happy with the service!

Careful Movers was very professional and well organized. The crew members arrived on yesterday, they were on time, efficient, and extremely careful. We hired them to move all of our furniture to a storage unit and we'll be using them again later this summer to move us into our new home.
