If I could leave a 0-star review I most definitely would! Chedoke Animal “Hospital”,I recommend EVERYBODY to stay away from this place if you care about your family pet. Our family pet of seven years was admitted to the Chedoke Animal Hospital recently after we started to notice changes in appetite and attitude. To our pets’ demise, the Chedoke Animal Hospitals’ staff treated her as a low-priority patient, clearly dismissing the very present and severe issues at hand. After five x-rays as well as countless other tests (all being in succession - one after the other), NOT ONE test had proven to be effective. The only information our family received was the BILL. Six thousand dollars and two weeks later, no advancements were made and when the staff was questioned about her state of health, they were hesitant to answer. Once our family decided to question why no results were being presented, as per these ongoing tests that were clearly on the bill, the staff had sent us legal documents that stated we would not be able to take legal action. Mittsue will never be forgotten by the people who were lucky enough to have met her. Thank you for being such a significant part of our family!

the doctor looked at my dog for 5 minutes.after that, They sent a student who looked at my dog for 20 minutes to hear my dog's heartbeat for his experience. Before hearing what the problem my dog had, i got an estimated bill for $1300, including half day hotel stay. I was specious what they would do to my dog. They sent a student and allowed him to touch my dog. At that time, the vet was not with the student. I signed on the refuse form for my dog not to get the treatments by them. Cause i would like to see another vet. The next day, they reported to animal welfare services because I refused to pay their bills. The animal welfare service officer will come to my house tomorrow. Please avoid this place. Go somewhere else not to get the same experience. It was the worst experience i had in my life. I would like to say to them, "Do not play with my dog. He is my child."

I think the vets here were really kind. However, my wouldve been 16 yr old girl yesterday- passed away on december 31st. I took her to this vet twice, i believe once during august or september and once during november. My girl passed because of an issue with the valves the right side of her heart. A vet could tell easily just by listening. However twice in these visits they listened to her heart and did not detect an issue. This issue was ongoing and should have been detected, if so, she could have had help earlier and could have survived longer. Fyi she was extremely healthy for an old girl, she still ran like crazy, her time was not supposed to be so soon. I also left a review on caledonias veterinarian clinic because they failed her aswell, would not go there either (but chedoke saw her most recently)

My cats are always well-treated. I have been with this Vet Clinic/Hospital for roughly 12-years. The vets are phenomenal, very gentle, caring and take the time to explain everything to you. The staff/technicians are very friendly and caring. All are more than happy to answer questions and help in any way. I can call and get answers to basic questions, for my pets; more specific questions are referred to a vet or an appointment made. Their website is very user-friendly, I can order food and have a repeat order put in place. They also offer Pet Desk, which helps to keep me up-to-date with my pets’ health and medications and appointments. I will always recommend Chedoke Animal Hospital, to new pet owners.

I just returned from my first visit to Chedoke Animal Hospital. I was so pleased! The young lady who checked in my cat was very polite and efficient. (Her sweater covered the name on her shirt, so I can't give her credit by name.) The veterinarian, Dr. Frost, was excellent! She thoroughly examined my fur baby (and made a big fuss over him ... which actually had him purring!). She recommended some blood work "to keep in mind", but said overall that he seemed healthy. Everyone I interacted with was friendly. At no time did I feel pressured to have tests or treatments done. And, the cost was VERY reasonable. I'm very impressed and will definitely recommend Chedoke Animal Hospital!

They are amazing here! I’ve been a client here for a couple years now and it was the best switch that we could have made from another local Vet. They really do care here and are thorough with their appointments. Carly the receptionist is top tier and all the doctors that we have dealt with there are very kind, patient and attentive. Highly recommend them as a vet. ONLY downside is that the parking is atrocious…one of the worst. Their service is so good that it overlooks that but they should do something about it or move locations.

My regular vet was not able to see my cat in a timely manner. Chedoke was able to fit me in. They arranged to have the medical records sent to them. Dr. Heinin was thorough in her assessment and made recommendations. She also sent me the blood results on the weekend and offered to speak with me on Monday. The receptionists, vet technicians were knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. They were sympathic and compassionate as my cat is nearing her end of life. I highly recommend Chedoke Animal Hospital.

My cats have worms, and to get a dewormer, I had to get an appointment (2 and a half weeks away) or send in a stool sample. So I gave them the sample( $90) and had to call them cause they didn't get back to me. Turns out it apperrently is negative. So I send the pictures to a vet in mississauga I know, and he immediately conforms they have worms. So to conclude, this resulted in: extra weeks with them having worms $90 for the sample and the drive to mississauga to get medications.

Our family would like to thank the Drs and Staff at Chedoke Animal Hospital for there exceptional care and compassion we received during the illness and passing of our precious Max in August. We have been with them for over 16 years with our senior cat Monkey and 11 years with Max. Always explain terms we understand. All the staff clearly love animals. We love the interactions they have with our pets. I never feel that we are being over sold. You always have our pets best interest first. Aways return call promptly. 99.9% of the time they answer the phone with a person, machine picks up very rarely. Never kept waiting for more then 4 or 5 min after appointment time , most of the time its right on schedule! Wouldn’t take our pets anywhere else.

I've been taking my pets here for years, and they've always been so patient, so kind, and so understanding. I've been to other veterinarians, and although they had met expectations, none had ever compared to the above and beyond service I've received at Chedoke. As many other pet owners, I'm extremely careful and concerned about my animals. They're family to me. Chedoke not only makes me feel comfortable, but my pets as well. I truly thank you for all your service.

Although we have only been clients for a few month's, our dog's have been treated with kindness by the wonderful ladies at the front door,that hand off is tough during covid,although I understand the need for this and the team makes me feel better about not being there with my fur babies. The doctor calls us back after examination and advises about what she found, treatment and follow up. Everything is explained in detail and we really appreciate that.

Great experience here. I chose this clinic because my dog has a lot of anxiety about males and there were female vets here. I am so glad I chose this place! All of the staff are warm and helpful, particularly Dr. Heinen. I had to take my girl in twice for the same issue (eye infection) in a short period of time and she recommended I start trying an over the counter remedy before dropping the money to see her each time. Very considerate and helpful!

I have been going to Chedoke Animal Hospital for years. I have taken many pets there and just visited with my new kitten for a check up and vaccinations. I took my foster dogs there and the staff were very helpful with this revolving door of +30 dogs over three years. My pets have always gotten great care there and I've gotten all the help and information I needed. The prices are reasonable although having a pet is never cheap. LOL.

I recently took my cat Baby in as I was worried about a scratch he had. They were able to get Baby in quick considering they were quite busy. The technician and doctor both called me with updates and let me know what was going on. I am grateful for the superb veterinary care my four legged friend, my dog Kodi, receives at Chedoke. The staff are so friendly. Kodi loves them too as they make such a fuss over him and ply him with treats (healthy treats, of course). And the vets take time to answer my questions, I never feel rushed out of the examining room. I trust Chedoke to be taking be taking the best steps to keep Kodi healthy and happy.

We have been bringing Maya, our Doberman, here since she was 9 weeks old. HIGHLY recommend. Getting an appointment is always quick, and with the app they use it is very easy. The team at Chedoke is wonderful and kind. The vets are direct and easy to understand. The pricing is fair and it doesn’t feel like we’ve been ripped off or gouged. You can't possibly make this clinic any better. It is perfect!!! I had to take Harley (my dog) to an emergency Vet and I was so confused by the information they were giving me. I brought Harley to you guys for a follow up visit and you explained everything so clearly and made me feel 100% better about Harley. The Vet was personable and friendly on the phone and put all my fears to rest.

We've been coming to Chedoke for a little over a year now and it has been great. The team is terrific and the pricing is fair and transparent. There's no pressure to do procedures that aren't necessary, and the team is always honest about what the options are and what they'll cost. This is a nice change from other vets where they run tests and do things then invoice you without asking!

Bella has been going here for at least 12yrs. They know Bella is our world! They are absolutely amazing to my baby girl, and they are wonderful to us humans too. ❤️ I truly feel they adore Bella, which makes us feel calm/relaxed when she's there.. The best animal hospital I've ever been to. They are so kind, compassionate, and understanding of our dogs needs. You can tell they are really passionate about their jobs. We've only been twice so far but each time we left feeling really positive. We changed to this vet after multiple bad experiences at our old vet and the difference is extraordinary. The staff are all genuinely kind. They care deeply for the health of their pet patients and offer many solutions to existing issues. We never feel any pressure to spend anymore than what’s necessary for the best outcome for our pet. The staff are always friendly and helpful! The Dr. was amazing!! She was thorough, kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. She addressed every concern right down to the smallest with such kindness and patience, you can tell how much she loves animals, it really comes through. It is a huge relief to know Coco is in great hands - always! We couldn’t be happier!

We were very nervous with our new puppy, as it was her first visit with a vet. They exceeded our expectations, and were so nice and accommodating to all our needs. Love the staff here at Chedoke Animal Hospital! They take such good care of my Golden Retriever, Dexter when he visits, the staff are so wonderful with him! We order our food from Chedoke as well, and the girls always offer to help me carry it to the car. Very friendly & personable, I would definitely recommend to bring your fur baby here!

Chedoke Animal Hospital takes care of both our dogs, a senior and a puppy. They are very attentive to each of their needs and make sure to explain everything clearly. They are always avaliable to answer questions. All the staff are very approachable and sympathetic to every situation, from new life, infections and the passing of a pet.

Everyone at Chedoke is so friendly and caring! The way they love our dog Millie is so comforting. Some dogs may not like the vet but Millie loves coming and is excited to see everyone and I think that speaks volumes on the type of people that work here!

Dr Erica Heinen was voted best vet in Hamilton in 2017. She has taken exceptional care of my pets. I found all the staff extremely helpful when I bring the whole crew in. When you find the best Vet and best support staff, why go anywhere else.
