Motel, in need of upgrading I booked this accommodation through Priceline "Express deals". On their website they offer 4 **** Hotels. What you get are "Motels" with average rooms, instead of hotels with comfort(like restaurants, bar, business center) and some kind of luxury. I took the bus 222/224 to get from downtown to the inn(30min). The motel is in Prospect, a suburb of Adelaide. That is on the fringes of the area Priceline has offered. The area is mixed: the 4-lane North Main Road is lined with a shopping center with supermarkets, fast food restaurants, Indian clothing stores, pawn center, but although a school and a nice subdivision. At check in I was greeted very friendly and got tips where to go. Everybody I met was polite, helpful und genuinely friendly. My room, directly at the pool is dark from morning until late afternoon. One has to use artificial lighting during daytime. Only in the very late afternoon the sun shines into the room. The bed looks fairly new and comfy. I had a good long undisturbed sleep in there. The writing table is functional, office style, scratched. Microwave, water kettle, fridge work perfect. Bathroom narrow, old fashioned toilet, which is squeezed between shower and washstand(see pics). The wash stand had to be cut in order to give room for peoples knees sitting on the toilet In the fridge there are a bottle of water(nice) and the complimentary breakfast(white toast, marmelade, milk, cornflakes, instant coffee). No international TVchannels. A lot of outlets but no USB socket. As a foreigner one has to bring an adapter Little pool under a roof. 2 tables with chairs to sit around. The onsite restaurant is open for breakfast only from Monday 'til Friday (6h to 9h).

I booked under my partner through wotif. On the way to the accommodation on 12April2022, I suggested him to call them for late check in due to behind our schedule. Usually I get confirmation emails from the accommodation instantly but wasn't from this place. I used online itinerary and it was booked correctly. The male receptionist was struggled to find our booking. He requested id, bond and booking screenshot while driving on the day. Normally most places will ask for customer details next morning if it is late check in, since the fees were already been paid in advance. All the hassle of emails for getting a room key, my partner managed the receptionist to organise to leave the key inside their security box. Guess what?! On purpose or not, the room key wasn't there The emergency staff came to get the key from the reception desk but no apologies from any staff on the day or any other days Their owner must forgotten staff training of customer service and housekeeping. My feet went black after I had shower so I went shower again and wore my shoes in between bathroom to bed. Hasn't been cleaned for a year? Emergency staff came promptly within my patience time limit frame so I give 2☆

The first thing we noticed about the room was that it looked nothing like the bright and inviting picture. Instead, it was a pit poky, dark and with basic appliances crammed together. The "Continental Breakfast (in the fridge)" (white bread in a plastic bag) with a single bottle of juice to be shared by two was both stingy and insulting. We wanted to fill our water bottles up somewhere and were told to use the bathroom tap where people wash their hands. Ok for some, but I have never thought it hygienic or appealing to do this. We were also offered the tap that serviced the garden - Lol - I'm one not to argue with the people managing a place like this, particularly when filling water bottles is not a promised service, but the level of accomodating leaves me struggling to imagine how people rate this place 4 and 5. Room service then interrupted us at 10:15am and upon telling them we were not ready to leave til 11:30, they wanted to negotiate to see if we could leave in 20min, if we wanted the room refreshed. For me, whilst I recognise this is by no means an expensive place to stay, it wasn't cheap either and I didn't feel like we were looked after.

I am staying here for 5 nights on a business trip. In hindsight a bit more room for that length of stay would have been good. That said, rooms are comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. Laundry onsite, with detergent provided an added bonus. Great security - gate locked at 7pm each night. Shopping centre literally around the corner. Please do yourselves a favour and have dinner at the pub across the road - Northern Tavern. Doesn’t look like much and a limited menu, but chef Mark is the best. Had one of the best hamburgers I’ve had first night, Thursday was schnitzel special - I had Swiss cheese and mushrooms and tonight the chicken Maryland with roast potatoes and veggies - all SO good!! He also takes the time to check all is good.

Made booking for 1 week on bookings.com, I booked a room with the kitchen, on arrival i was told my signatures didn't match there seemed to be a problem even though my id cards were the same pictures of the person standing in front of receptionist, so I had to go get cash to pay the deposit with cash, I was told I couldn't use card which was inconsistentand time waisting, I wasn't treated with respect, I was given a room that was totally different to what I booked, the rooms carpet was stained, smelt, bathroom was smelly no vanity, no kitchen, the bed wasn't good, I could feel the springs dig into my body from sleeping on bed, I rang up next day to raise my concerns and was told I'd be upgraded, I got a cleaner room and bit better bed but still not what I paid for and booked. I would never recommend this place to anyone because of the way I was treated while staying there and state of the room was given.

Huge room, tiny bathroom, comfortable bed. Breakfast facilities, small refrigerator, microwave etc are at one end of room but these facilities have no water tap or sink, so fill electric jug in handbasin at opposite end of huge room. Towels changed every day regardless of how they are left - which is just as well because towels are old and thin and very worn. In fact the once white towels could be described as thin grey excuses for towels. No allocated car spots for rooms, but the security gate closes to courtyard/carpark each night (after hours access with room key card works well). When we were there a large mobile food trailer was "filling" four spots, five if you count the spot where the drawbar loomed. Motel is conveniently located; staff good. We were in wing nearer the side street so our room was lovely and quiet.

This has changed management and the service needs work. Woman at check in was very very rude, had to pay an insane $200 deposit on top of room fee, road noise is insane all night. The single bed was so hard I actually checked if it was made of wood and my youngest slept on the lounge instead so she could be slightly comfortable. On top of that two mornings in a row at 630 the leaf blower started up than to top it off the plumber arrived to fix the roof at 8 in the morning so much for a sleep in… never going back!

My friend and I recently booked a one-night stay in a double story room. On the bottom floor there were lots of baby cockroaches scattering about and on the top floor the air conditioner wasn't even working so we had to sleep in boiling conditions. Another thing is that the walls inside the room were made of brick against the beds and it was ugly to look at. Lastly, our keycard wouldn't scan us through the front gate and we were trapped with other motel residents for at least half an hour before someone inside let us in. I highly do NOT recommend staying here, as you can find other places around the area that are more affordable and much better quality.

Booked and confirmed a room online after a long day of travelling only for us to turn up to be told the hotel is booked out. The hotel's own website still says they have a room left! After a pretty awkward conversation with the poor girl on reception (who of course we understand isn't to blame) we're left looking for another place to sleep. But seems we're looking in Adelaide on a super busy night. We stay in hotels a lot because of work and we aren't precious by any stretch of the imagination. But taking and confirming your booking for a non-existent room is a first for us! Obviously their booking system needs some work. I'm sure it's a nice hotel to stay in, but I'd suggest calling to confirm your booking before you turn up.

Got the 2 bedroom townhouse. Pretty sure the bedrooms haven't been cleaned in a while, Cobwebs in the corners. The windows are filthy and just generally really old. They aren't very good at bringing new towels etc, we had to ask twice. It's sooooo noisy too from the road. Not sure why some rooms have the shutters and some don't. It did what we needed it to do with a decent kitchen for cooking and laundry, but i won't be staying again. There's hardly any natural light, or ventilation. The pool was absolutely freezing so swimming was out of the question. Just needs a decent clean and update of stuff. Looks like it hasn't changed in tens of years.

We booked 4 two-storey apartments and a standard room for our bridal party plus parents and some guests. Joe was incredibly helpful while we were there and the girls who organised the rooms via phone calls were very professional and helpful. They were decked out with a kitchenette so we could cook meals. There’s ample car parks, plenty of space in the apartments plus there were rooms with 2 toilets which was a plus for a big group. We had some problems coming back into the premises late though, our key cards didn’t work but lucky the maintenance came quick so everyone could get back in. Overall, very nice stay and very professional staff!

Absolutely fantastic staff, very secure parking, great location. Got here early, was able to check-in, bus station close. Took 1 bus to city. Easy to negotiate traffic from side streets. It would be difficult to stay here if you have a trailer, but parking is good for a single vehicle, even tanks like my Navara. Northpark shopping centre just over road. Food takeaway, Seton Plaza within walking distance, so you won't starve.

Have mixed feelings about this hotel - it is hard to find hotels that do decent family-sized hotel rooms in the city for a decent price. We stayed in one of the townhouses for several nights and I would most rate it a 3 star hotel... but only just. Positives - decent size, friendly staff, and reasonable location if outside the city (as convenient to supermarkets and eating places). Negatives - cleanliness and maintenance were definite problems with lights in stairwell not working, door handles broken in cupboards, and the heating was below par,

My first trip to Adelaide and I’m glad I chose the right place to stay! Secure car park, Comfortable bed, morning breakfast, clean linen, clean room, absolutely no bad smell. Staff members are really nice. My room was right in front of the pool, it was great! Booked to come back in June, looking forward to seeing Adelaide again and staying at this lovely Hotel, Thank you for making a welcoming and comfortable environment to stay in!

Room was decent, management were rude. When told a huge cockroach had crawled out of the range hood over the stove, they basically said “that’s gross”. In response to your reply: The cockroach was massive, and came from the range hood over the stove. To imply that we possibly brought it in with us is insulting. The younger bloke was awesome, the rest of you were fairly rude considering how much money we spent at your location. We'd have been better off at an AirBnB. I learnt my lesson.

Stayed in a King Room which was spotless. The room was a great size with plenty of room to move in. Shower and toilet were clean and bathroom was also a good size. There were roller shutters on the window to keep out noise and light which was a great innovation. Reception check in was a great experience and the staff could not have been more helpful. Would highly recommend this motel.

My only complaint is once they did not restock the vegemite and butter but all else was awesome

I booked from online , maybe chose one bed by the website, but I wanted to changed two beds . The guy said need to pay extra , bad service for that. So I refunded and changed that. One day I checked the bank, I saw that motel charge $125, I think this motel angry with I giving one start, unbelievable with that , that one didn't accept opinion，instead he feel his right. So I hope someone saw that you need consider that!

DO NOT STAY HERE. had a booking here where I was sent instructions that I can check in until midnight. I get there at 11:30 and the phone number on the door doesn’t answer so I have to spend all night on the phone to wotif support for them to tell wotif in the morning that I checked in when I didn’t. Then when I called I was hung up on. If you don’t want to get stuffed around by rude staff don’t stay here

We had the 3 bed and we thought this was OK until my child played on the floor and his feet were black from the carpet. Disgusting!!! We went to go to bed and the Queen was as hard as concrete. Not happy at all. I should send the bill for a chiropractor.

For the pricing, location, cleanliness & friendliness of staff this Comfort Inn gets two thumbs up from me. The lower end pricing rooms were spacious & comfortable, microwave, fridge & few other accessories. They poor buggers even let me keep my guitar there overnight til i could pick it up. Far as value for money, great place.

DON’T LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES HERE! $400 AirPods were left in room and subsequently went missing during room cleaning. Would have assumed safe to leave valuables in room. No reimbursement for this significant loss. Very disappointing and frustrating. Rooms were suitable for price and convenience. However positives end there.

Overall would never stay here again. Had so much trouble with this stay, and I'm still trying to get my deposit back from them. Which I have never had this much trouble over $200 in my life. A full fortnight later.

The apartment was spacious but the couches were stained and carpets dirty, we enjoyed sitting out the front and watching the rats at the neighbouring property run across the fence however. That being said it was value for money and the kids slept all night so overall enjoyable, staff was friendly and professional.

Highly responsive crew of people running this place, that are eager to make sure you have a good stay. Doing their obvious best to fix anything that needs fixing as well as make you feel genuinely welcome. Good off street parking, nice shaded pool, lovely people to greet you. Close to shops and eateries.

Stayed about a year ago with my partner. Came back again last week, wasn't going to but glad we did. The admin staff are so much nicer, Room's are cleaner and smell clean. We will be back for sure. Glad to see.

stayed here overnight was given a self contained en-suite room with queen size bed. lovely air conditioning. TV, microwave and fridge. friendly lady on front desk. breakfast available in front restaurant. even though i didn't pack bathers the pool was very inviting on that hot day.

Comfort Inn Sombrero exceeded my expectations with beautiful gardens secure within a brick wall. Even though on a main road this motel was very quiet. My room was extremely clean with everything I needed. The location was within walking distance to a major shopping centre.

Excellent place to stay close to shops great to have condiments ie toast and oj and cereal for the morning. Great customer service we will definitely be back! Thank you for your hospitality.

It a nice place. I'm over 6 ft and burly,manage to fit in Bathroom ok. Lovely pool just outside our room. This place is 4 and 1/2 stars and for a great price. The beds are comfy,even breakfast included. A must for a great experience, oh ,friendly staff aswell.

Quaint, not that much room to live in, but not so small it's claustrophobia inducing. It's great if you are going to spend a majority of your time exploring Adelaide and not sitting in your room. But a great place to 'hit the bunk' after exploring Adelaide.

I would've gave this hotel a 5 star rating if it was more child friendly. Other than that very nice ☺️and in a perfect location near a large shopping plaza also and other facilities.

Hotel v Motel.....this is a motel, albeit very good since refurbishment. I stayed in a deluxe ground floor room, which was quiet (it's on a main road) and very comfortable. Has car parking and also close to public transport.

Overall the stay was good. Room was clean (but lounge chair could have been cleaner) and a good size for a family. Kitchen dated but had all we needed. Staff were friendly. Parking outside of room is good. Would stay again

Great customer service, easy to park and get in with the card if you know which doors or gates to scan for entry/exit… even when mistakes were made, they were more then happy to fix it and answer any inquiries that we had.

Manager wasn’t ready to talk, when essentiall service was down in my townhouse. I have to call 10 times to get response. I have paid 250$ per day. Service very really poor. Rooms are not clean. I will not stay again here.

Noisey as, carpets and furniture stained, every time we flushed the toilet it leaked water all over the floor and only one pillow. Besides that the motel was fine.

Nice clean location. Great staff and check in services. Only concern is the noise from the two main roads close by. On weekends sounds like the F1 has returned to the streets of Adelaide!

Was welcomed with open arms at what was a very personal, and lonely time. Thought I'd have a spa -( empty and dirty). The staff were truly great and supportive. Till I needed a shoulder

Traffic noise all night. Had to pay some absurd $200 deposit at check-in ABOVE the already paid room price. Wi-fi was practically unusable during the evening. AVOID for your own sake!
