Good morning, I would like either complain or merely suggest for those of us visiting the Cornubia Mall and wanting to go to e.g. Checkers to do shopping, we do not know which side of that traffic circle to choose to turn to the correct section of that mall. Also, I am not from that area. At times I come to that mall from the north, and then at times from the south. At times I found myself driving around in circles in that traffic circle to figure out which side is either Pick n Pay or Checkers. So please can management take the initiative of putting up sign boards up on high posts so that this of us visiting Cornubia Mall, will be at the choice of business we want to instead of driving around in circles - especially around high peak shopping times like in the months of December etc.
Only posting to get some traction on getting the lifts to work in the Nu Metro Cinema section at Cornubia Mall during load-shedding. I visited Cornubia Mall with my 87 year old grandmother this evening, who needs the support of a wheelchair to get around. We had tickets to watch the release day screening of Adipurush. We arrived and had to decide if we were going to stay and watch it or reschedule (kindly offered by Nu Metro manager) and return home. My grandmother told us she wanted to watch the movie so she ended up walking down the 2-3 flights of stairs to the mezzanine level, got back into her wheelchair and we were on our way. Please sort out your lifts Cornubia Mall, not everyone is able to do what my grandmother could.
This is a really excellent mall. It has alot of stores with a wide variety. Parking is free at present which is a nice touch..Underground parking is ample. The stores are well spaced out and the feeling is of an open plan style. These malls generally feel much less crowded. The stores themselves don't get so very full that it is difficult to move around, except for Checkers Hyper and the Value Co stores. There is a variety of things to do like go carting and Astro turf soccer. The only negatives is the horrible islands and curbs in the open parking on top. They are very high and some of the turns poorly designed so you end up scraping your vehicle as you taking the turn.
Great looking new mall, very creative design and some great outlets inside for people who dont want to be stuck in larger malls. The biggest stand out is FREE PARKING for 6 hours, by far the best reason to try out this mall for a movie, dinner and a shop without worrying about rumbling up a hefty parking bill. The security was great as well, they did not know everything but when I lost my ticket last night, the guys went out of their way to help me while I was stranded at the boom gate. So big up to the security and also I really like the massive tree that is probbably the back drop to a stage. Over all I am impressed.
The mall is nice and spacious, however the space at the exit is too narrow, even the road markings don't have exit points(It doesn't make sense) Parking isn't safe at all. The boom gates are open throughout the day. Anyone can come in and out without any security measures in place.( I don't think I'll come back because of this) We went to Bounce and there are no ATM's on that wing of the mall. We had to go on the other wing where there's Pick n Pay (This makes no sense) We went to McDonald's, I've never experienced slow service at any McDonald's restaurant. Their meals are just too dry and they only use ketchup. Thanks
Good selection of shops. Stupid mall set-up because it's semi circle building and if you're not familiar with the store locations, you will be parked or in a direction diversely opposite the store you want. There is alot of walking, which isn't bad if you want to be fit. Food court is chaotic with not enough seating. Toilets can be hard to locate and are right inside, in the back corridors of the mall. With all the safety and crime issues currently, I think the Mall Management ought to consider increasing security and adding better and clearer signage regarding shop locations
The layout is in a circular shape. Ample parking in the centre of the shops. Stores are conveniently categorized. Food outlets, banks, clothing stores all close to each other. Generally a quiet mall. However, feels safe. The parking is extremely convenient. You can get in and out quite conveniently and not having to worry about parking tickets and having to pay for parking. Many different shops in close walking distance. The major benefit is the FNB bank that processes ID and passport applications via a Department of Home Affairs initiative.
Cool shopping centre situated in Umhlanga...has some cool stores and some really fun activities compared to other malls in Durban, has a bounce area as well as go Karting and indoor laser tagging also has an escape room and a cinema too Also has some nice restaurants but finding reliable halaal restaurants was the only issue here...also parking is more than enough and mall is always busy It was my first time going here having heard of this mall before, really enjoyed it beyond expectations...highly recommend for others
This was our first visit to Roco Mamas. We ordered a single smash burger, 12 BBQ wings with blue cheese dipping, blue berry milkshake and a limited edition Racer burger. We were impressed with all the items as they were fresh and tasty. The buns are unique with seeds and there are no short cuts taken with any of the dishes. Cherry on top was a blueberry shake. The staff were incredibly friendly and neatly dressed. We enjoyed their no fuss style of ordering. Thank you Roco Mama's, we will be back
This isnt a Mall. The set up is like thr knights of the round table. Not satisfied with the Layout. The staff that work for the mall eg. The Security have no clue if you need directions to a specific shop. It's been my first time to visit the mall. FNB service is poor. I was asked to wait outside for my appointment. The staff at FNB are unhelpful, don't smile, reluctant and don't make an effort for a query. The FNB manager should be informed.
Great open plan mall with ample undercover parking. The mall itself is well maintained with enough shopping options. The reverse vending machine outside woolworths is my favourite place to do recycling. The machine's location in the mall changes every once and a while and isn't the cleanest but it is user friendly and there's never a queue. The structure of the mall ensures that it is accessible to people with mobility disabilities.
Has adequate parking facilities. Variety of stores and not enclosed in 1 building, built in a circle and stores form around, parking in the middle of this area and also underground parking available. There's eating houses clothing stores, supermarkets banks pharmacies, game and entertainment areas, pet shops, boutiques, home stores and so much more. Due to this design there isn't alot of crowding in one area. Parking is free.
This was my first outing to the relatively new Cornubia Mall; and in was pleasantly surprised by the way the mall has been designed. Ample space means that one doesn't get the feeling of claustrophobia one may experience when shopping indoors. It appears to have all of the most popular stores; as well as non-franchise stores. I visited the THULE store, and was met with friendly and proficient service.
They have a wide range of shops and most staff are quite friendly everywhere you go. The layout is brilliant for the summer very airy, bright and vibrant. Make sure you wear your most comfortable shoes though, your day at Cornubia will packed full of walking in the vast open plan mall. It's also not so great to go on really cold or rainy days. Other than that it's a great establishment.
I love the design. You can walk from one end to the other. Single level, you can get your exercise steps done for the day. Wide variety of shops. You can get everything that you need in the mall, Gym, Woolworths, Pick'n Pay, Checkers, Consol, food court, Sports wear shops, Gorima's, all the major banks, specialty stores, ample, free parking. Neat and tidy. You will want for nothing.
Nice centre with various shops. houses trampoline park, a whole load of retail shops has a pick n pay and a checkers. Food court has loads of option including spur, Macdonald's, panerotti's also has a underground parking with go kart track. loads of parking. great place for all your shopping needs from cloths to household goods to a night out with the family
The mall has a good number of stores, restaurants and entertainment options for all ages. Parking, however, can be problematic, especially during weekends and particularly on the Checkers side. Not sure if maintenance is underway but beware of uneven floors which are merely taped over, with no other warning in some cases. Hopefully this is fixed soon.
The underground parking doesn't have security. Yesterday the power went out on the stairs and someone attempted to mug my mom. Luckily she fought back. At this time of year there should be security all over especially in places without cameras and especially during loadshedding. She reported it to security but I wonder if anything will be done.
A modern, user friendly mall where you can drive and park close to any of the shops you wish to visit. Parking attendants are present. Vehicle cleaning in the parking area if you so choose. Quite a large variety of high end stores, covering a miriad of shopping tastes. Several reataurants also available. Well worth visiting.
The place was a little hard to navigate but we found out way to everything that we needed. The range of shops where good. Walking times in between shops was efficient once you figured it out. The mall was super clean. Parking was very very full with us having to park on the otherside of where we wanted to be. Would go again.
One of the best places if you want a complete day out, it has all you can ask for from the amazing variety of food options to the shops, and not forgetting my personal favourite the entertainment. Special shoutout to the staff at Booba and Brew N Cue love you guys, give them a visit especially if you love playing pool.
The shopping is great but my biggest problem with this place is the toilets , they are beyond dirty. There are "waste & urine" in the toilets and not flushed and urine on the floors and it's not cleaned. All those people that used those toilets and don't flush, I wonder how they keep the toilets in they house
The Cornubia Mall is a great new addition to the city of Durban. The open plan layout provides a relaxed and breezy shopping experience. The mall also boasts a wide variety of entertainment experiences, including a beautifully-designed and lavish Nu Metro cinema complex, with the latest in cinema technology
An open space with so many angles its almost exhausting just thinking about going there.... however, that's the actual charm of the place. The architecture, the stores arrangement, the plants, all breathtaking. Beautiful place this. Considering I'm quite far from Cornubia, it's worth the trip everytime.
I love to shop here simply put you park closest to the store you want to visit. It is also great to walk on the outside to get to another store has compared to other shopping Malls. This is my choice to do my shopping. Ample FREE parking even undercover. Go cart track for those who don't want to shop.
Quite a nice mall with an open plan setup. What it lacks it’s proper road signs toward the entrance (circle) which tell you which side is better to enter if you want to access certain shops. The parking area is also a bit risky at late night with a lot of suspicious people loitering around.
The open plan layout of the mall is tiresome, walking from end to end. However, there are a lot of stores with incredible sales and entertainment. Factorie, Cotton On, Checkers, etc. From food to clothing, you can do all your shopping here and still have time for a movie at the cinema.
Wide and open walking space. Cinema is great and a few great restaurants to relax at. Regular stalls with displays, activities, sales and small events near the food court. Health enthusiasts can find a variety of options near the gym area, as well as outdoor enclosed soccer nets.
Plenty sufficient free parking for 6hrs. Spoilt for choices, Checkers Pick and Pay, clicks, Woolworths, Pick and Pay clothing, Pep store, Food stores; John Dory, KFC, Plan B for for divine deserts. For entertainment there's Bounce, Movies, Virgin active and indoor soccer.
Good, mostly outdoor mall without the cramped balls ache that comes from visiting gateway. Decent range of shops if you like shopping for clothes and food. Nothing is particularly cheap but compared to some places (Gateway of Shopping) it's not hugely expensive.
This mall is huge! The mall also seems to mainly be outdoors, which is pretty creative. They have a few exclusive places like Bounce, City Girls and a big supermarket that I forgot the name of that has baby electric cars. Definitely a must-see for tourists.
A very special thank you to centre manager Ravi Govender and security officer Malusi Ndwandwe for making the effort to locate my son this evening, thank you for taking the time and concern. You are greatly appreciated. GOD BLESS YOU
I am very disappointed with the service levels. The dining room chairs have been returned 3 times due to them rocking very badly. Paid for in cash, 3 weeks later and still a problem. The store that I am referring to is Rochester.
Very convenient mall free parking flat like a pancake. Shops are easily accessible environment is very friendly. Know what you are looking for banks are located in one side better to park nearer to the places you want to use.
Great Mall to be Free parking lot 3 Indoor soccer ⚽️ fields However, most of their restaurants close very early, so it's advisable to consider that if you think you might be there until late
Kind of average for a place on the middle of nowhere. Has a a range of stores but too spaced out. Free parking. Not bad of you just wanna walk about but if you want to do quick shopping it can be a headache.
I went to this mall to grab some food and do some shopping. Positives: 1. Free covered and gated parking 2. Clean facilities 3. Wide variety of restaurants and stores. Negatives: Nothing to criticise here :)
Loved this mall. Family friendly activities like Bounce & the soccer courts plus child friendly restaurants were fantastic. The Virgin Active gym was amazing. Just loved this place & felt so safe over here.
It is very spread out and going from one place to another isn't always easy. Trying to find the shop you want and parking nearby isn't simple! But a nice variety of shops especially gor the sporty types!
Is a very convenient lifestyle mall, which accommodates most of our loved shops. Its easy accessibility and overall positioning of shops makes it a good place to shop without the crowded mall walkways.
This was the second time I visited the mall, they had a every shop I needed. However it was difficult to find toilets and when I did find some they weren't very clean. But overall I would visit again.
Great place to do shopping, all the shops are easy to find with no hustle. Parking space is more than enough. The car guards are very helpful with trolleys and assist in loading packets in the car.
A beautiful shopping experience...ample parking..easy access to the various shops...meets your daily shopping requirements plus more in terms of entertainment and a beautiful atmosphere …
A well spaced out shopping experience. Was not too crowded. A vast array of eating houses to suit the different needs of people. The bounce recreational facility has something for all age groups.
Amazing mall, quiet, not crowded, has mostly all the shops and is neatly placed. The checkers there is amazing and it is good and has so many items and amazing things for gifting and birthdays.
Failed Rugby experience, the semi final vs England was always cut, was gonna be better watching it home instead. Most people wanted to leave, so we did too. …
One of the best malls in our area. A place where friends and families meet and eat. Shopping is enjoyable with various types of shops . We enjoy visiting the banks where the queues are short.
I shopped at Pick&Pay. Great shop, well stocked, big aisles, friendly staff. Easy parking. There are lots of other shops. I don't like that they are split into 2 areas with a road in between
Beautiful and spacious mall in the North of Durban Business Centre. Give it a visit, as it showcases the art of Africa design and clean with all the leading shops you desire are available.
Awesome open plan Mall, has all your shopping requirements from A to Z. Only draw back, when the weather is inclement, your shopping mood is dampened. I love this mall, will be back soon.
Cornubia mall is an open style street walk mall hosting most of the well known retailers, banks and grocers. The mall is large and requires a long walk to get from one end to the next.
It's the best place to pop in and out of stores as parking is literally outside all the shops. It does get a bit busy on weekends but nothing too hectic. Has most shops you would need.
The restaurants are nice, they open till late. The shops close at a reasonable time. I think that it is easy to break into as everything is open and there are not much security guards.
One of the better malls for relaxed shopping. Ample parking. Yes and Checkers and Woolworths did take advantage in exploiting the Christmas shoppers. That was a shame to these stores
I personally like this one. Shops and variety they have is good. The real biggest problem only is freaken parking. Its a nightmare. Shops and everything else is perfect no fault.
Cornelia mall is a nice shopping centre with a variety of shops. Also has supermarkets and chemistry. Most of the popular shops are in the mall. Free ample parking available.
Cornubia mall, what a shopping center i was so impressed by the it is. It's a type of mall that suit almost all types of people, young, old, rich, poor, middle class, kid's etc.
Very nice outdoor mall. There were a lot of good food options and everyone we dealt with in the different shops were friendly and helpful. Great place to walk on a week day.
Love the 1 level convenience and layout. It needs more security visibility and a better flow in traffic. All in all, it's much better than gateway theatre of shopping.
We had a meal from Fish Aways. Absolutely divine. Zee also love to eat & enjoy movie @Cornubia Mall... Regards Ian Govender from Verulam Roadworthy ❤️ …
Relaxing place to shop, but parking on Checkers side gets hectic over weekends and end of the month. Be aware of remote blocking and high potential for car theft.
Parking is freely available near shops or below in the parking basement, looks like a one stop shopping place, cinema, eating houses, plenty shops, so its great
I like that u park anywhere close to the store you are looking for. Instead of having to walk pass hundreds of stores like you would experience at other malls
A variety of shops to cater for all needs from grocery shopping to electronics to dining out.warm friendly environment where everyone is a winner
Great experience Staff /security / management on site very helpful. All shops reasonable prices, great place for family shopping in one place
Conveniently positioned stores in relation to parking area - an easy in-and-out if you are in a rush. Also easy access to the N2 and M4
A great place if you want to walk about with the family , safe and easy to find the essentials you need , cheaper than gateway aswell.
Afro Chicken in Durban. A new franchise. Simple flavours, nothing artificial. Fast and friendly. A great alternative to Nandos or KFC.
Free parking Friendly parking attendants 4/5 because shops are far apart (the north and south wing) I played football with colleagues
Great selection of stores and ideal that you can park in the vicinity of the store you want to go to especially if you are in a rush.
Very few Halall food store , however the 2 store Boaba and Indian cuisine store, next to each other e best service, excellent food.
Nice place but the parking is absolutely wack if u park in the wrong place u have to walk to the other side across the busy road
An awesome Mall with a great variety of stores available!! The team are super friendly at Cornubia and always willing to assist!
The free parking is a great incentive for shopping here. It's a very convenient mall and everything is easy to access and find.
I had a wonderful experience shops are convenient and easy access to transport cans etc .lots of eateries and fun activities.
Great place to be at with friends and family and it's free and open air vibes as well as the free parking offered throughout
Great to shop, disable parking too few. Abled people parking in disabled area. On several occasions, car guards don't care
Nothing has changed, parking is terrible, disabled parking is pathetic. Abled people occupy them and nobody seems to care
The Mall, is perfect, I like the open plan design, Not too big and has everything you need, perfect to shop with family
Terrible mall, managed by idiots, they actually have a kiosk that retails drugs... Don't visit the centre... High risk.
Went there to watch the rugby final. Beautiful people good atmosphere and lots of eateries to choose from. Very clean.
Good place to shop. Lots of choices available in terms of moblle. clothing, food, and grocery shops available.
Nice mall. Kids enjoyed the bounce facility. Always popular. The mall itself is neat; clean and well organised
My go to spot for anything from groceries, shopping , movies, grabbing a bite to the gym. Everything you need
That's my go to place for majority of my shopping from groceries to clothing, basically it's convenient.
Not really a mall , more. Bunch of kerb side shops surrounding a parking lot , not good for poor weather
Unique combination of brand stores and local boutiques with exceptional banking and eating facilities
Very easy convenient place to shop. Very quick shopping and relaxed. Most of convenient shop here..
Great mall however during loadshedding majority of the shops and takeaways don't have backup power
Great mall with lots of stores and easy to access from all areas around Cornubia and surroundings
Relaxed atmosphere, free and lots of parking. Variety of stores, suitable for the whole family.
Quick in and out shopping. Although sometimes parking can be a problem especially when it rains
Toilets are so far apart. Everytime i go with wife do shopping i must walk 1 end to the other.
Amazing shopping experience ample parking. Something for everyone. Amazing retail experience
Love love love this mall. It's not to overcrowded and you can get almost everything you need
Very big and spread out so it helps to know where to park to be close to your intended shop
We had a marvelous time, good food variety, relaxing atmosphere. Really. Enjoyed ourselves.
Very great mall, takes getting used to but carguards and securities are great at helping
Not too congested like other malls. You get almost everything you need from this mall!!
