"It's 'okay'"
"Direct route to Union Station from here, the alternative is going to Main St Subway Station making multiple stops along the way and having to switch trains at Yonge & Bloor St"
Clean station, friendly helpful staff. Ramp to/from station with power buttons and elevators to get to and from the platforms. Signage outside doors of station indicates departure/arrival times. Located right next to Main Square Community Centre - which has a pool, fitness level & table tennis with a variety of activities for all ages. The 506 streetcar and the 64 bus is at street level, taxis are usually around the neighbourhood (I recommend Beck Taxi) and there is a great Shawarma at the corner of Main & Danforth, Tim Horton’s, Subway and Duckworth’s Fish & Chips and many other restaurants. Enjoy!
A small Go train station with staff on site. I like the location as it is short walk distance to the subway station. There is also Tim Hortons coffee shop very close by if you feel like grabbing a drink or a sandwich. There is also a Mediterranean restaurant close by. This station doesn't have a parking area. If you are planning to park your car and complete your commute on the train, you ae out luck.
Danforth GO is a great alternative to Union Station. The TTC stop is about 100 meters away and the subway is about 300 meters away! it has staff on site, there's a clean and accessible washroom and there are multiple screens with arrivals and departures. There is ample seating and if you have time, you can walk to Danforth to get something to eat.
It's 'okay'. Could use an expansion indoors for passengers waiting as there isn't enough room if it's halfway busy. I walk here, but there's a place for passenger drop offs near the platform if you're driving. Be careful walking to the station as impatient drivers trying to turn onto Main St. may not see you or ignore you which can be dangerous.
Direct route to Union Station from here, the alternative is going to Main St Subway Station making multiple stops along the way and having to switch trains at Yonge & Bloor St. Lots of steps here if coming off of Main St entrance so if you have mobility issue take that into consideration. Some sheltered wait8ng areas expect train to run late.
Danforth Station is pretty nice. Probably the best station that you can actually hear what they say over the intercom. Easy to navigate around as they have signs everywhere from on and off the platform. They also have the Go Machines so that you don't have to wait in line to refill your Presto card or buy a ticket at the counter.
Awesome station. The layout is nice. Hard to get onto a lakeshore train in rush hour hence express trips. Best place to get the streetcar or subway at in the morning
Bike (locked) was stolen from the bike rack - be careful! The customer service attendants were helpful Also, there is no car parking available nearby
I've been on the go train heading west for nearly an hour with no heat. It's -18 outside please go transit turn on the heat I'm freezing on here!
Very slow attendants. Great if you are on casual schedule so make sure you leave plenty of time if you are buying tickets from the booth.
There is no kiss and ride parking. Parking is a bit of a walk. Very convenient to the housing in the area. Clean maintained station .
It's fine, it is one of those sketchy GO stations where you have to walk through the tunnel under it to get to the platforms though
Why is there no phone number listed for this station? I guess they are afraid the customers might find it too convenient.
A small station, but always clean and quiet. Walking distance to the 506 streetcar stop, and Main Street subway station.
Service is wonderful. So helpful always. Every agent is so nice to talk to and to get help with where you want to go.
The Google map takes drivers to wrong destination. Instead of using main street it uses dawes road ending up nowhere
I don't use the station often, but I've never had any delays or issues. Service is always great too.
